Besuch bei der weissen Flotte. Ambiente OK beim Besuch des Feuerwerks. Zuerst mal gegen den Durst ein Mineralwasser bestellt mit der mehrmaligen Anmerkung hier kollega ich nix. Dann kam irgendwann kollega und brachte auch nach einiger Zeit das Getränk. Desweiteren sollte ein Bier folgen die Bestellung wurde einfach ignoriert und nach einer Stunde und dem Mineralwasser sind wir dann gegangen in eine nette Altstadt Pinte mit gutem Service. Bezahlt werden mußte in den Kasematten in Bar Grund laut Kellner damit keiner in die Karten schauen kann.

Our visit started promisingly, but unfortunately ended disappointingly. Although the ambience was pleasant, our overall impression was greatly marred by an unfriendly waiter. This particular waiter showed no interest in his job and preferred to sit with his friends instead of serving us drinks. He also attracted negative attention by arguing with other guests and being very unfriendly towards us. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable in the catering industry and leaves guests with a bad impression. Luckily the other waiters were very nice and tried to make our stay pleasant. But despite their commitment, the unfriendly waiter's behavior couldn't save the overall impression. Based on this experience, I think we will avoid this restaurant in the future. It is unfortunate that the behavior of a single member of staff can have such a negative impact on an otherwise positive evening.

Not a nice evening. First of all, the staff is more than strange and not very polite. The food is not good and totally overpriced. The big thing came when paying. No card payment possible, our bill should be €66. When I wanted to see the bill, the waiter walked away annoyed. He came back with a bill that said other drinks and lo and behold our bill was only €50. This is fraud and absolutely unacceptable. I recommend everyone not to eat here. Who knows how much money the waiters are putting in their pockets

You could still get over the extremely high drink prices if every beer didn't have to be paid for in cash straight away. That's why you tend to round up every time. I am referring here to the Key brewery at the casemates: The service is first class - the staff is quick, friendly, funny and attentive. You really feel in good hands here. The location is of course unbeatable: right on the Rhine and in the middle of the old town. However, it's a real shame that prices have exploded over the years. Although the atmosphere is rather rustic thanks to the simple concrete floor and the beer benches, the price per liter of beer is now higher than at Oktoberfest. A 0.7l bottle of water also costs €8. The food itself is solid – nothing more, nothing less. Overall, the Schlüssel brewery at the Kasematten is a good place for two to twelve cold beers in a prime location with excellent service and, after many years, it is still a lot of fun to have one here.

The ambience is beautiful, but the food/quality of the food was an absolute disgrace. For a salami pizza I expect more than 4 slices of salami... portions were ok but I wouldn't go there again.

Was there with a friend for the European Championships. All games were broadcast on screen. It was therefore very full of people. Waiters still try to keep up. Drinks were brought in plastic cups and my friend's cocktail unfortunately tasted different than shown on the menu. Pizza was delicious. 2 minus points: You can't pay with a card and you still have to pay 50 cents to go to the toilet. A no go if you have to pay a lot of money for food and drink.

What a scam. We came to Kasematten to watch the France vs Belgium game at the European Championships and the Belgium fans were the only positive from the entire evening. They firstly were surcharging their drink prices because of the championships which we could live with except that the next round was more expensive for the same drinks and the next round more expensive after that! We adamantly refused to pay the extra high price and were only willing to pay the first round price to which the waiter pulled a baby tantrum waiving his hands in the air. All the while, they under-poured almost every single beer... Not a good look for German hospitality...

One of the waiters (wears a polo shirt & is older & wears glasses) is very rude. He kept demanding that I order more drinks even though I told him I was waiting for a friend to show up first. Also, they don't take card, only cash, and there's a scammer ATM in there where it charges a 20% fees for currency conversions / withdrawals. Use a Stadtsparkasse ATM 5 mins walk away. AVOID THIS PLACE!

We had the great pleasure of being served by a truly exceptional waiter – Marcel-Pierre. His enthusiasm for his job was palpable and guided our entire experience. Not only was he extremely attentive and accommodating, but he also took the time to personally engage with each individual in our group. His friendly and warm demeanor made us feel welcome and valued. What was particularly impressive was his refusal to accept our full tip on the grounds that he loves his work and is rewarded by it alone. This attitude shows how much he values ​​his job and how much passion he puts into it. We have rarely experienced such dedicated and passionate service. He definitely set the bar very high for excellent customer service. Thanks to him, our visit was unforgettable and we are sure we will come back just because of him. Bei unserem Besuch sind uns einige Dinge negativ aufgestoßen. Die Möchtegern-Sheriffs an der Türe hatten nur ihren privaten Geldbeutel im Kopf. Jeder Gast mit einer happigen Spende, Vitamin B, oder die Betonung gewisser Vorzüge der Damen, lies die Türsteher zur Seite weichen. Die artig wartenden Besucher in der Schlange waren nur zweite Klasse und wurde gekonnt ignoriert. (Wartezeit ca. 2 Std.) Auch das Abkassieren der Kellnerin war fraglich und stimmte jedes Mal nicht. Entweder konnte sie nicht rechnen oder anderes ... Auf der Toilette gab es dann noch die Situation, dass eine Besucherin von der Toilettendame wieder aus der Kabine gezogen wurde. Da diese wie gefordert noch nicht das besagte Toilettengeld bezahlt hatte. Dies war der letzte Besuch in diesen Lokalitäten.

I can only rate the EM period, but I've never experienced anything like that. Reserved a table three months ago (without knowing that Germany was in the European Championship round of 16), reservation confirmation follows promptly. On the day in question we were moved three times and at first we had really bad seats right in front of the screen. Little by little we were moved “better” (group of 11 men/JGA). But suddenly we were told that certain seats had been reserved and we weren't allowed to sit there. I have NEVER experienced such poor organization. I can only speak for the EM period, but don't make a reservation there, it's no use!!! It's a shame, otherwise it's a really great atmosphere, but that's the fault of the guests and not the unqualified staff.

The beer was absolutely fine. Our service was very slow - even though it wasn't full. A pity. Great location, everything else not so good :(

Went there today and paid 16 euros for 1 0.5 beer and 1 large coke instead of 13 euros on the menu, according to the waiter because of the European Championship, but it wasn't changed on the menu and legally speaking they cheated us out of a few euros because of that . In addition, you couldn't pay by card, which I find outrageous for the size of the store.

we went there to support our team Netherlands , we were group of 5 ( one man and 3 ladies from Japan and Holland ) one table got empty while we were standing there for almost half hour in rain , so we went to seat there and the waiter came and told us you can't seat here it is reserved for 20 person even though we were already there and on waiting! then we went seat somewhere far which hardly we were able to see but we order drinks,... and paid , in mid half of the game our friend went back on old table and saw only 4 people was seating there not 20 and they were also from Holland supporting same team as us , so our friend politely ask them if we can join them on same table and those people kindly accepted and were happy , when we all take our items to move to the table and start seating next to them , the same waiter came and said I told you , you are not allowed to seat here ( for no reason ) we said but the table is empty and those who reserved it they happily said we can join their table , so what's the matter !!!!!! Then the waiter went and bring a very aggressive huge bodyguard which were so harsh and aggressive and just with very rude manner told us move I said move ( I felt if we ask one more time why he was able to punch our face ).... we went there to enjoy and have good time with our guest but we found we waste our money on a place which there is zero customer service no respect no smile no welcome but full of discrimination! So if you are choosing a place to enjoy your moment in peace & good vibe i don't recommend this place! At end they completely told us we should leave and they went even to our guest which was still drinking on old table and told her she must go out!!!!!

A large group of us spent the European Football Championship here. The food was great and the atmosphere was great. We spent more than €1,500 in the whole evening.. we were most disappointed that the landlady did not know how to count, or better said, she knew what she was doing and charged us extra 🙈🙈🙈 if we didn't call, we would lose money... Great place on Düsseldorf's famous bar waterfront. Fast and precise service. They serve a delicious traditional ALT for the price of EUR 7 (price during the 2024 European Championships). We also ordered potatoes with cheese and salad for EUR 9.5 and Alsatian flatbread which turned out to be a good choice for EUR 13.5. We were there during the Poland vs. Austria match and the place was almost full. It's worth stopping by 👌🏻

Beware the place!!!! The owner/ manager or whoever the guy from the picture is, is psychotic. I was at the place today, just sat down to see the football game, and the place was packed with people. We ordered beers, and as we waited for them I had a sip of my own water, and since I was seated right next to the entrance and the ‘gentleman’ from the picture came up to me and started yelling at me and calling me names and telling me I shouldn’t be drinking own alcohol at the establishment.. while I politely replied that it was water and I took a sip, as we’re waiting for the beer, he started yelling even more. We were in Frankenheim. Pizza was very tasty. The long drink was just juice. The expected alcohol was only added upon request. Beer glasses are never full. Terrible place! They tried to charge us for extra drinks we didn’t order and our bill was way too high at first—1300 euros! In the end, we still had to pay 630 euros for 19 people. They cheat everyone at night by adding things to the bill or changing prices. Stay away from this place!

Here you can drink, party or watch football right on the Rhine (we didn't eat there). We visited twice on our Düsseldorf tour. Above all, the atmosphere at the party on Saturday lunchtime was outstanding. The drinks prices are higher than in the old town, but you have a great view of the Rhine. Unfortunately, you can only pay for the cap, which can sometimes be quite high, in cash.

It's pretty tough to judge. It is a very cool place to drink a beer or glas of rose and enjoy the sunset and the river rhein. Service is not the friendliest but still a cool place.
