Card payments not accepted. Unbelievable. But I don't want to make any accusations. Oh well. We were there. Probably won't be back.

Great atmosphere. Delicious beer. Tequila, non-alcoholic pilsner.

The food was okay – nothing extraordinary, but tasty and good value for money. 🍽️💰 The atmosphere is generally pleasant and inviting, especially when sitting outside. ☀️ The waiter seemed a bit rushed and took our order quite quickly, without giving us much time to ask questions. 😅 We watched football on a nice big screen ⚽, but instead of the commentary, music was playing during the broadcast – a bit of a shame for the football experience. 🎶❌ Unfortunately, it rained heavily, and the roof couldn't quite withstand the weather – one of my colleagues got quite wet as water ran down the dented roof and onto him. 🌧️💦 There's definitely room for improvement there.

The atmosphere is really lovely. We were there on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't very busy, however, the staff wasn't very attentive. They were standing around in groups of four or five, smoking or chatting. So, after one beer, we decided to go somewhere else. A real shame.

We chose the seasonal menu with mushrooms. The chanterelles were simply delicious, despite the burnt onions, but the fish, unfortunately, was too dry and tasteless.

We went to Gosch. Despite Halloween events all around, it was quiet here. The food was good as always, and the service was attentive and friendly.

Unfortunately, our visit on Halloween was an extremely disappointing experience. The waiter charged us a significantly higher amount than the menu price, seemingly based on guesswork. Furthermore, he refused to give us a bill or receipt. It's simply fraud! The service was appalling. The staff was rude, unprofessional, and seemed uninterested in providing guests with a pleasant experience. The way they treated customers was absolutely outrageous, and overall, it was a very bad experience. I definitely cannot recommend this restaurant.

Charged more then what you get, please be careful, they trick people during big events.

Service was honestly mean. Even asked me for a tip at the end, I tipped and no thank you. Felt a little uncomfortable with how unfriendly they were. I tried to be nice but I just felt they didn't want me to be there. Would not go back, wish I didn't tip.

Very arrogant bar attendant, he wasn’t ready even to wait 10 seconds to tell him what we want to order, he was like I don’t have all the time others are waiting. Drinks were really not nice! Place were people are eating is a smoking area as well 🫣

Good beer, good location, good staff, all good.

Very nice place, good for some foid and drinks. We ordered the curry wurst, my wifes was great, mine was a day old on the grill. The beer was great and the apfelshorle outstanding

Always a fixed spot to sit comfortably

It was lovely. It was pouring with rain. Great music. The pizza and Flamkuche were delicious.

One star for the beautiful location. Otherwise, very poor. All drinks cost €6.20, whether beer, Fanta, or water. The bill included two meals we didn't even have. Then the waiter quickly deducted these and charged us €94. When I gave him €100, he said, "That's right." What a disgrace. The bill still seemed too high to us. After calculating, it came to €75. When we told him this, he became rude, but said we were right, it was €75. He gave us €20 back. When we then said we were €5 short, he said it was his tip. We still demanded it back. Absolutely impudent, charging us like that. He immediately threw away the receipt, and strangely enough, you can only pay in cash.

Highly recommended, good food at a reasonable price in a great location

We travel a lot and truly appreciate and reward good service. But not when there's no service and guests are treated rudely. Nice location, premium prices, but poor service. And we even had to pay for the restroom. That's usually what makes the difference. Tipping isn't a right.

After a stroll through the city, we wanted to go to the Rhine and have a quick meal together. The price/performance ratio was quite good; we were outside, and everything was good. The service was very friendly and unobtrusive. I missed the cushions on the benches because I have back problems. But we still had a nice time. Thanks

Great in nice weather, but not for those on a budget. It's worth knowing, though, if you're in Düsseldorf. We were at the jetty right on the Rhine. A 0.5l beer was €8, a 0.3l beer was €5.

Good place for fun loud big group gathering, they have long tables. Food is ok and many options for drink.

The service was terrible and the staff were extremely rude and unprofessional, they treated customers poorly and didn’t seem to care at all. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone , terrible experience overall .

A restaurant mile directly on the banks of the Rhine. Here, you can watch the action in a cozy atmosphere. Weather permitting, a visit to the various restaurants is worthwhile. The prices are typical for the location but still reasonable. It's just a few minutes' walk from the old town.

Dorado was cooked well. The other things was just awful. Waites awful. Atmosphere awful. Asked for hot drinks-not available. Asked to water outside of fridge, they bring cold water with ice. We don’t have she just say. Never go there !!!!!!

It's always wonderful to stroll along here and just stop for a bite to eat :-)

Perfect for dancing on the table. But a disaster for eating out. Potato salad from a bucket and the other dishes were also poor quality. But the prices were outrageous!!!

I am extremely dissatisfied with my visit to this restaurant and bar. I had reserved a table for ten people for my birthday, but upon arrival, we were only offered a table for five. Instead of finding a reasonable solution, we were repeatedly shuffled from table to table as our seats were repeatedly being made available for other guests. This was not only chaotic, but also massively disrupted the entire evening and the birthday party. Unfortunately, there was no sign of professional service or appreciation for guests. Very disappointing – definitely not recommended.

Very unfriendly staff, they were very rude and insulted me because a colleague still had a nearly empty beer from outside. There was no chance to talk about it, and you feel personally attacked, even if you ask to order and get rid of the bottle. It's unbelievable how much of a power trip the employees are on.

After the fish market, I went to the after-party at the Kasematten. The atmosphere was initially good until two girls started causing a stir, insisting on our table. When I sent them away, I was pushed from behind, fell onto the table, and glasses broke. I cut my hand with a piece of glass. After half an hour, I went to the bar to clean the wound, ask for a bandage, and more drinks. I got a bandage, but no more drinks. The second time I asked, I was immediately told that there were no more drinks. On the third attempt, the head of security came and asked me to step outside, where I was told I couldn't get back in. So instead of help, I was simply kicked out. Very disappointing how injured guests are treated here. No leniency, no apology, instead a ban. Absolutely unacceptable to me.

Unfortunately, the tables weren't very clean, and there were things lying around on the floor (napkins, cigarette packets, etc.). The restroom attendant was also really rude when you didn't give her the requested amount of money for using the restroom facilities, which were supposed to be free for all guests anyway. And be warned: NO card payments are accepted. The bill is written on a beer mat. Very questionable in such a central tourist location in Düsseldorf...

"Door policy"? Disgusting. Compliments to the security: A masterclass in cheekiness, impudence, and disrespect.

We went to the restaurant on Wednesday. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The setting, right on the Rhine, is of course incredibly beautiful. However, we were very disappointed with the service and the food. Of course, the lack of staff was noticeable here too. But the staff that was there didn't even make an effort to give us the impression that the service was good. Furthermore, the food (baked potato with salad and a dip) was anything but tasty. The baked potato was still hard in places and the dip was simply made with mayonnaise and a few herbs. You could only use the toilet for a fee. There was someone sitting right at the entrance to the toilet holding out their hand. Pretty disrespectful. In my opinion, there are definitely better restaurants on the Rhine promenade in Düsseldorf.

If you want to dine in style and see and be seen, this is the place for you. A deep wallet is required.

We visited the Kasematten restaurant in Düsseldorf, and unfortunately, our visit was very disappointing. After we sat down, we sat for a full 10 minutes without anyone attending to us. The table after us, however, was served after just a minute – we found that very rude. The service overall was unfriendly and uncaring. We didn't enjoy the food, and to top it all off, the coffee was cold. We really expected more for the beautiful location on the Rhine. It's a shame, but we won't be coming back.

A very disappointing visit. The waiter told us we could only order large drinks and pay in cash, otherwise he wouldn't serve us. When we asked about it, he shouted at us, and we felt clearly discriminated against. This shouldn't happen in such a well-known place.

I ordered an Alt and received a 0.5l glass without comment. Even in 2025, you'll only be able to pay in cash, but then I'll be able to use an ATM for exorbitant fees. The bartender will surely make money off of that. That's not customer-friendly; it's designed to maximize profits.

We were there yesterday. The waiter, wearing a jogging jacket, sunglasses, and a baseball cap, was turned backward. I wanted a coffee and received a brusque rebuff. He told me he wasn't allowed to bring me a coffee in the front row. Okay, a Coke and a wine spritzer for my wife, please. We wanted the fried fish from Gosch for dinner. He explained that we'd have to get it ourselves. When I asked why no coffee, he replied, "It's a regulation from the public order office." Well, yeah, that's fine. The fried fish from Gosch was truly awful. The roll was a cheap pre-baked roll from a discount store, and the fried fish was breaded pollock from the discount store's freezer. We had to pay for the food at the counter. Although, in terms of quality, I've had better food at discount stores. When we tried to pay the waiter (€6.50 for a 0.5l Coke and €5.30 for a wine spritzer), he told me €14! I was taken aback; I had the impression he was trying to talk his way out of it. I'll leave it at that! Everyone should form their own opinion. Bottom line: very poor service, terrible food, Beautiful view.

Right on the Rhine promenade. Delicious food, friendly and, above all, fast service (the restaurant was very busy), and there's loud music playing all day, and sports events are shown on TV.

Thank you for the service, but I had an unpleasant experience: I could only pay cash for €32, and even though I gave €3 more, I didn't get any change. I also find it incomprehensible that you even have to pay extra for the restroom in a bar/restaurant. It seems like they're exploiting the guests—a shame, because the location on the Rhine is actually very nice.

The evening was a lovely end to our vacation. Our man of the evening was Talha, and he was always very attentive. It's always nice to be with you.

Here you can sit beautifully right on the Rhine and enjoy an aperitif? We didn't eat here.

Unfortunately, there's no Zero Coke available these days, and the Wiener Schnitzel is sold as Viennese style...a very bad scam. The location is very good, otherwise it would have been a maximum of one star.

Actually, it's a superb location with great service and drinks. One star deducted for the fact that card payments aren't possible, and above all, it's not mentioned anywhere. I was lucky that I was still able to pay my bill...

Kasematten Düsseldorf A fantastic location right on the banks of the Rhine in Düsseldorf. It's amazing how much everything has changed here. A great party district. The Kasematten consists of several areas. You can watch the events on very large screens. The food is good...the drinks and, of course, the Alt beer too. There is no parking here.

Nice atmosphere, but wildberry lillet is a mini glass and practically no alcohol 😅 for almost 8 euros I would have expected more

The view is fantastic, right on the Rhine. The service is also okay... I wouldn't recommend the food, it feels like a mediocre chain restaurant, but it's okay if you're hungry. Only cash payments are accepted here, which I really don't expect in a "big city"...

Drinks unfortunately warm and boring.

A very cool and stylish venue. We were there on a Saturday evening with nice weather, and it was very busy, so you have to make concessions regarding the service provided by the staff; they had plenty to do. They could work on their friendliness. My cocktail was subpar; next time I'll just have beer or wine. I'll gladly go there again and recommend it to others.

Oh, the speed is amazing. Ordered; it was already on the table. I rarely eat steaks, but this topped everything. The waiter with the braid who served us was attentive and on the ball. We'll be back!!

We come to Düsseldorf every year because we used to live there. Now we live in the beautiful Palatinate region. When we were there a few times last year, we unfortunately didn't have such a great experience and didn't want to go back. But when we passed by after our Old Town tour, the waiter greeted us very warmly and asked if we wanted water for our dog. It was very warm, so we accepted the offer and decided to have something to drink. The waiter (Ufuk) was very friendly and attentive. He gave us excellent and expert advice about the white wine, Grauburgunder (we live in the Palatinate, where the wine is grown) and refilled our glass often, but a little at a time. The view is unique, and the food is delicious. See you soon....

Nice place in Sunset with beer & schweinshaxe!

Terrible atmosphere. We entered quietly and were escorted to our table. So far, so good. As we were walking, a waiter came around the corner, full of beer, and bumped into my wife. All the beer spilled onto the floor and onto her. This annoying man got angry and started yelling at us for who knows what. We had to pay attention and were a bunch of idiots (unfortunately, he said a lot more). We were also told to pay for everything and to leave. He also got physical with my wife. This has never happened before, and it was obviously our last time there. As long as they can make money as quickly as possible, it's fine. I'd say, close it quickly.

The Schlüssel an den Kasematten in Düsseldorf is a great spot right on the Rhine. The sunset view and relaxed atmosphere with good music are particularly beautiful. The drinks menu is appealing. A perfect place to enjoy an evening on the Rhine.

Our food, apple strudel and hot chocolate, were rather poor. The portions were small. I've had better frozen apple strudel, and the hot chocolate was very watery without proper milk. It was also served in a glass without a handle, which is very impractical for a hot drink. Service was okay, but nothing more. The notice that only cash payments were accepted was quite rude. The atmosphere on the Rhine was quite nice, but very loud.

We only had drinks, but the food looked excellent. Great atmosphere, fantastic ambiance, and excellent service. A must-see and a must-visit when in Düsseldorf. We'd happily go back.

If you want to sit comfortably, watch the sunset, and have a drink, this is the place to be. The food is more like a good snack than a good meal, but that doesn't detract from the experience. The service is super friendly, personable, and welcoming. You sit fabulously right on the Rhine and can easily strike up a conversation with strangers (if you want).

Great location...otherwise, you probably wouldn't go here specifically. It's just like many tourist hotspots that more or less run themselves...the food is "okay" (but nothing I'd go to specifically for dinner) and the service, when they do spot you, is friendly. Even on a weekday morning, we waited 20 minutes to place an order. Overall, there's still plenty of room for improvement.
