Nice place to spend some time in a kind of old fashioned restaurant in Berlin. I liked it I would recommend to consider to go there at least once if it happens you are around in that area.

I have to say, I expected a little more based on the good reviews. Unfortunately, my farmer's breakfast tasted very bland, without any spice or spice. I still had to season it properly. We sat opposite the small entrance to the toilets, and unfortunately we had the smell of toilets in our noses almost the whole time. It didn't blow me away, unfortunately I wouldn't eat here again. But praise goes to the staff, who were really nice and courteous.

I had been there about 10 years ago. Back then, there was atmosphere and movement in it. Now it was just an ordinary restaurant with ordinary dishes.

We are totally thrilled, great food, great service and normal prices. Despite being full, always attentive and the food came quickly. Is easy to recommend. If we are in Berlin again we will definitely come back to you. We can't understand the bad reviews, maybe it's because more and more people expect upscale restaurants and always want something new. But as I said, it's a great place to eat - good, home-style food

This is a great little place with a nice selection of different German dishes. All the food was really nice and everyone enjoyed it. Definitely had a home cooked feeling to it. Service was very pleasant and friendly too. Also some good beer available Prices are good value.

A cellar restaurant in the best location. The title promises a certain level of event gastronomy and culinary extravagances. But unfortunately the potential is not being exploited. Ambience: Unfortunately, this is not a potato cellar. Good will and charm from the 90s come together. Here and there the restaurant is peppered with beautiful eye-catchers, but it's not enough to create a rustic atmosphere. Food: of course there are potatoes. But here, too, a little “pizza” is missing. If you order fried potatoes with a fried egg, that's exactly what you get (see picture). No side dish, no decoration or a typical potato spice mixture. In short, the food is not bad, came in a short time and was warm, but it is a bit boring. The price/performance ratio is right. Service: the staff gets the points here! Everyone was particularly polite, courteous and considerate. Even our dog was immediately offered water. Hygiene: everything is clean and well maintained and the furnishings are tidy. The toilets are also clean, but from a different era. At this point, there is no longer any evidence of good will. Nevertheless, everything seems to be good from a hygienic point of view. Conclusion: the potato cellar will probably work as it is. With a good concept, a little courage and modern marketing, everyone could have a lot of fun here.

Also eigentlich esse ich gerne Kartoffeln, nur das Ambiente passt mir nicht. Was eigentlich ein gemütlicher Keller sein könnte, wird durch die Horde an Nazis leider total verdorben. Ich glaube das Restaurant braucht eine alternative Besucherpolitik.

I remember it from the GDR era or shortly after the fall of the Wall. Been here twice now in a while. And it's still delicious. Simply potato with many variations. And above all, you will be full!

Fabulous potato restaurant, was actually spoilt for choice. We visited on a Thursday evening without making a reservation and were fortunate to get a table. The staff,ambience and food was brilliant, would definitely go back next time we're in Berlin xxxx

Wir haben 20:45Uhr das Lokal betreten. Der hektische Kellner wies uns darauf hin, daß, falls wir noch essen wollten, 21:30 Uhr Küchenschluss wäre. Wir bestellten unverzüglich und bekamen ca. 10 Minuten später das Essen serviert. Dieses war lauwarm bzw. nicht vollständig durchgebraten. Während wir aßen , liefen der Kellner bzw. andere Angestellte hektisch durch den fast leeren Gastraum, wobei der Kellner ständig auf unsere Teller blickte, ob wir schon fertig sind . Obwohl uns bei Betreten des Lokals mitgeteilt wurde, dass um 21:30Uhr die Küche kalt ist, teilte er uns nun mit dass das Lokal bereits 21:30 Uhr schließt. Wir gaben unsere fast lauwarmen Speisen zurück, zahlten bar und verließen das Kartoffelhaus. Wir können keine Empfehlung für diese Lokalität geben. Familie Schmidt

Wir haben den Kartoffelkeller auf dem Weg zum Admiralspalast entdeckt. Die Speisekarte las sich gut, sodass wir spontan entschieden, den Kartoffelkeller auszuprobieren. Wir hatten nicht reserviert, wurden gdennoch freundlich zu einem Tisch gebracht. Das Essen war sehr lecker, der Service war klasse und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir empfehlen den Kartoffelkeller gerne weiter und freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

Erster Besuch und wohl auch der Letzte. Ich hatte eine Miniportion Bratkartoffeln mit Zwiebeln und einer (!) Scheibe Bergkäse überbacken. Dazu etwas Preiselbeeren und einen kleinen Krautsalat. Für den hohen Preis war die Portion sehr klein. Auch bei allem Verständnis für gestiegene Kosten. Die Kartoffeln waren trocken und geschmacksneutral. Kein Öl / Fett war vorhanden. Die Zwiebeln wurden m.E. nicht mitgebraten, sondern einfach nur drüber gestreut. Sie wirkten wie getrocknete Zwiebeln aus dem Glas. Den anderen Personen aus meiner kleinen Gruppe hat es besser geschmeckt. Sie hatten andere Gerichte. Alle hatten wir den Eindruck, dass es sich vorwiegend um Voll- oder zumindest Teilconvenience handelte. Sehr schade. Kein Grund nochmals zu kommen.

Zupa ziemniaczana jak danie ze sloiczka dla niemowląt, placki ziemniaczane bez smaku (wzięłam wersję z musem jabłkowym, ale i tak plackom przydałoby się troszkę soli). Szkoda, lubię ziemniaki i oczekiwałam czegoś więcej.

What a refreshing german cooked meal. Only place I found that has Potato Pancakes. The Mince meat is superb. The potato pancakes reminded me of my childhood. Servers were fun and professional. I highly recommend if you are in the mood for german cuisine.

Qui in ogni piatto c'è qualcosa fatto di o con patate. Bella l'idea e la realizzazione funziona. Piatti tipici tedeschi (salsicce, wurstel, stinco) con stile e porzioni da trattoria e prezzi onesti. Anche l'ambiente rispecchia lo stile trattoria. Da segnalare la vicinanza a una zona con pub e altri locali (alcuni con musica dal vivo) dove poter passare il resto della serata

Sono ritornato qui dopo una dozzina di anni e mi aspettavo di meglio. Prezzi più cari e servizio sotto le aspettative. Patate arrivate bruciacchiate, ordinato bistecchina di maiale e arrivata una schnitzel. Buono il pane e la birra alla spina (Berliner). Locale carino ma mi ricordavo meglio.

Schon 2019 war ich und meine Freundin vom Kartoffelkeller begeistert. Das Ambiente sehr gut 👍 und natürlich die verschiedenen Gerichte mit Kartoffeln auch 2023 immer noch sehr lecker 😋 schön das es den Kartoffelkeller nach der Pandemie noch gibt. Diesmal war Familie mit dabei. Wir kommen wieder.

We have lived right next door for two years now and have never been to this restaurant. It didn't really appeal to us from the outside, but there were always a few people there. As part of the neighborhood economic stimulus program, we also went to eat here. Very humble. A currywurst with cucumber salad and fries. Plus a good beer. The atmosphere was good, the service was quick and friendly. and the currywurst was very peculiar (a lot of curry) but also very tasty afterwards

Cena dopo visita alla porta di Brandeburgo, locale carino, personale neutro, non troppo solare, cibo tedesco che può piacere o meno in base ai gusti, prezzo giusto per Berlino, un pò alto da italiano, un piatto sui 18 euro, niente pane né attenzioni per i clienti, comunque nel complesso carino, posto tipico.

Sábado a la noche, siendo las 21.30 tienen cerrada la cocina. En la info figura que el restaurante cierra a las 23…. Muy descorteses y mal educados.

Wir haben den Kartoffelrösti mit Würzfleisch und Käse überbacken & die Hähnchenpfanne "Kikeriki" verzehrt. Beides war super lecker und ist zu empfehlen. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant war toll und gemütlich.

Wer Kartoffeln mag, ist hier genau richtig! Ein sehr authentisches Restaurant, was einen klaren Fokus im der Speisekarte hat. Trotzdem kommt die Auswahl hier nicht zu kurz. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Die Portionen sind sehr groß und Bedienung sehr freundlich.

Sehr leckeres bodenständiges Essen, freundliche Bedienung. Die Preise sind für die Gegend mehr als in Ordnung. Man wird von den Portionen auf jeden Fall satt. Dafür das es in einem Keller ist, ist es sehr schön eingerichtet.

The restaurant itself is nice and cozy with very friendly staff. The service was quick and the place was clean. The food itself however was average and overpriced. I know you can't expect too much from a literal potato restaurant, but I was hoping it would be better than this. Two baked potatoes with dressing were nearly 14 euros, and it wasn't near enough to fill you up. My partner and I ended up paying 53 euros without feeling full when we left, and we aren't very big eaters. I'm very positive about the staff, but unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant because of the high prices.

Der Name ist Programm. Es liegt im Keller, es gibt Kartoffeln in fast jeder Variante, dazu Schnitzel und schon sind alle glücklich. Die Preise und Portionen sind angemessen.

Schön, dass es auch im Zentrum von Berlin solche gemütliche Kneipe gibt. Kartoffelpuffer und Rösti sehr gut!
