The restaurant with its detailed, nostalgic furnishings is worth seeing. The service is excellent, the staff is very friendly and attentive. Here the guest is valued and not seen as a necessary "additional" to the business (as is the case in many places). Unfortunately my dish, a vegetable gratin, was bland in terms of spices and cheese taste. That disappointed me. Nevertheless, the Colorado potato beetle has been really recommended for years.

Were here in September with a larger group. We really enjoyed it; the feedback from the participants was without exception positive. The processing of the reservation in advance was also very pleasant, reliable and professional. The food is very good, the menu is varied and the concept (focus on potatoes) is consistent. Overall, a highly recommended restaurant, also for groups.

We were there last night. A really nice little quaint restaurant... attentive service and delicious food. The only point of criticism... there should be calibration marks on the glasses or you pour the wine with a carafe... you know you really get a 0.2l wine, because unfortunately this wasn't obvious and in our opinion it wasn't 0.2l in the glass either . But actually legally mandatory. Maybe it will be accepted and changed...otherwise everything was great.

Wir waren als Gruppe zu Besuch. Schon die Reservierung verlief zu unserer völligen Zufriedenheit. Am Abend selber wurden wir sehr nett empfangen und bekamen einen sehr schönen Platz zugewiesen. Die Speisekarte ist sehr umfangreich und das Essen war super lecker. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und somit verbrachten wir einen sehr schönen Abend dort. Sollten wir noch einmal in der Gegend sein, würden wir auf jeden Fall wieder einkehren.!!!!!

A very good restaurant with excellent food and very attentive service. Luckily I had reserved a table - otherwise I would have had to eat somewhere else. However, I would no longer eat there on Mondays because the AfD's weekly (power) demonstration with a train, accompanied by haunting drums and Reich citizen flags, takes you back to times long past and can really spoil your appetite. The Colorado potato beetle really didn't deserve that.

It's the ultimate hit, the potato pizzas are absolutely amazing in terms of taste. The one with goat brie is really tasty.

Uriges Ambiente rustikal. Freundliches Personal, Hunde sind willkommen bekommen gleich was zum trinken. Egal was man auswählt von der Speisekarte es ist sehr lecker. Keine lange Wartezeit. Wir kamen ohne Reservierung und trotzdem wurde ein Platz gefunden. Es war mega insgesamt. Wenn wir wieder im Ort sind ist garantiert ein Tisch reserviert im Voraus

We not only had a delicious lunch here, but also stayed overnight and had breakfast. The guesthouse rooms are nicely furnished, the food was extremely varied, rich and very tasty. The breakfast was also well prepared and varied. For me personally, I would have liked something more local, rustic, sausage selection, but that doesn't detract from the excellent overall impression. It was a shame, but understandable, that we couldn't bring our dog with us... In any case, we will be happy to come back if we end up in Bad Salzungen again.

Very nice, rustic location and delicious potato pizza. Highly recommended. The guest rooms on the upper floor are also great. The only thing missing is a small refrigerator, a glass and a bottle opener. And maybe a small magnifying mirror in the bathroom. Otherwise everything was great.

Great to go with children too. Children have their own menu and a placemat to paint to shorten the waiting time. Very nice atmosphere to relax and escape from everyday life.

I was visiting last weekend because I'm in rehab here and I can only say that anyone who likes German cuisine should eat there! A very cute little restaurant. The food there was delicious and the waitress was very friendly. It was so great there that we reserved a table for two more days the next weekend. Keep it up . Went hungry to the Colorado potato beetle in Bad Salzungen. After half an hour we were very satisfied and full. A change of plan from fried potatoes to fries with extra sauce - no problem. Great service and great food. If there were more than five stars, I would give even more. Desdemona

This evening we were at the Colorado potato beetle at the end of our holiday, we had asked in advance whether it would be possible to bring our dog 🐶 with us, that wouldn't be a problem, when we arrived around 6 p.m., we were warmly welcomed and shown to the first floor of the restaurant, From the ordering of the drinks and our food, the service was impeccable, the food was super hot and deliciously prepared 😋 and of course it was tasty, we can only recommend the Colorado potato beetle, best regards as a holidaymaker from Bremerhaven 🐟

We went to the Colorado potato beetle for lunch today. It's a great location with rustic and tasteful furnishings. Despite the nice weather, we sat inside to enjoy the ambience. The food was very tasty and freshly prepared. The staff is very attentive and quick. So unconditional recommendation and at least 5 stars!!! Keep it up!

We've been around and eaten there for a long time (the last time before Corona). Food was good, as before. However, pizzas seem to be smaller now.

I was there for lunch yesterday. I have always loved the food and service. Yesterday we waited 1 hour for food. My husband's game goulash was great but my Kottelet, that According to the menu it was supposed to be freshly breaded, but it was just warmed up, hard and already looked like a sole. I'm still upset now that I didn't give it back. My fault... but I didn't want to cause a stir because everything else was always good. Because I won't make mistakes again.

Salmon potato Pizza for 16.90€ it’s not worth that money haha Portion is small and packed with lots of salmon and cheese. That’s the only thing you taste actually.

The three of us spontaneously went to Bad Salzungen on a Friday evening and became a potato beetle because of word of mouth. And we weren't disappointed. Even without a reservation, we still found space (that was probably luck) and were immediately impressed by the rustic decor. The menu offers an excellent selection for every taste and the very friendly and attentive staff made the evening a very special experience. Conclusion: We would love to come back!

Despite the city festival We were able to get a table for two. The potato pizza is a very successful idea and tastes very tasty. If we are in Bad Salzungen again, this will be the first address. We recommend making reservations in good time.

Unfortunately there is no possibility to make a reservation… not even the following day (Thursday or Friday, not even for just 2 people)… it is therefore not possible to judge the dishes.

We were there for the first time today. The location and the food were super good. What I personally found best was the service! From the first minute we were looked after very well and there was also a menu for the children to color. We were even asked if the children's food should be served earlier. Great! Please keep it up. I stayed overnight in one of the two quiet, spacious double rooms under the attic. The bathroom was super newly renovated; Kettle is ready. It's very quiet there and the food is wonderful - the breakfast was also just right and valuable without being lavish. Cozy, uncomplicated, friendly - I would love to come back!

We liked it . The food was tasty and the service was great. The takeaway packaging still needs to be changed from plastic to cardboard. And maybe you could put a light in the bathroom as it is a bit dark. All in all a beautiful and unique place.

We had beef rolls with dumplings and apple red cabbage as a side dish. The food was lukewarm, the dumplings were too hard, as was the roulade. In addition, they simply brought an apple red cabbage and said it was for both of them, although we could see that that couldn't be true.

Kudos to the interior designer 👍☺️ The menu is extensive and EVERYONE will definitely find something for themselves. We had Wiener Schnitzel, Marado steak, potato gratin and beef roulade. All the dishes were super tasty, were served hot and were prepared to perfection. Simply great!!!😃 The price-performance ratio is absolutely fine.
