Gasthaus Hecker Hof in Bad Salzungen

There's nothing negative to say about the ambiance; the outdoor area is particularly well-made. However, we waited about 45 minutes for our drinks order (we made ourselves known several times). Throughout the evening, we also had to wait a long time (up to over an hour for drinks, even though it wasn't that busy otherwise). Only some of the drinks were brought, and we had to wait for the rest. The icing on the cake was that our hosts were billed early in the evening because: "Nothing has been ordered in the last hour." That's true, but how are we supposed to cope when there's no waiter to be seen or we're simply ignored? Some of the food was good. Others, less so (e.g., almost raw boiled potatoes). The service often seemed overwhelmed, which apparently also had a negative impact on their friendliness. Conclusion: For us, it was our first and last time at this restaurant.

We ate at the Hecker-Hof, and it was excellent. The service was very attentive and friendly. We highly recommend this restaurant and would gladly return 🤗

Once and never again. First, it takes forever for drinks to be taken and brought, and then the staff was beyond unfriendly. One star is one too many.

We were served with a smile by two very friendly and personable ladies. The restaurant was modern and tastefully decorated, as well as neat and clean. The atmosphere was very inviting and pleasant. The food was prepared quickly and tasted amazing. I highly recommend it. :)

The rooms are very modern, clean, and well-maintained! The breakfast is plentiful and leaves nothing to be desired! The staff are friendly and accommodating! There's also a nice area for children. I highly recommend it!👌

Unfortunately, I can't give a review of the food because it was closed at 3 p.m. on a Friday, contrary to the opening hours on the website and the sign at the beer garden. This was very inconvenient for us, as we had made the hike here especially. So it's best to call ahead and ask if it's open and when food is available.

A very nice hotel in Bad Salzungen. A very nice and competent team. My room was tastefully decorated and I slept in the bed like I was in heaven. I always enjoy coming here.

Very nice inn with a small but nice menu. Great atmosphere and definitely recommended. Dogs are also allowed. The homemade spritzer was particularly delicious. Just a note: There should be at least one vegetarian dish.

We came there spontaneously today and everything was done despite being busy. Wanted coffee and cake and was served promptly. We were very surprised with the dedication and attention to detail that everything was designed here. Highly recommended. The big hit for us was the end when we left. We were told that we were welcome to stay here with our motorhome and that it would be no problem to even supply us with electricity for a fee. I really enjoy being here in Thuringia because the world and the people here still have their hearts in the right place. We'll definitely be back next year and of course in appropriate clothing.

We got to know this place through a birthday. The rooms of the inn are very lovingly furnished with a good eye for detail. The dinner was very tasty. The breakfast was very rich and varied. A visit is definitely recommended.

We celebrated our golden wedding anniversary with 45 guests at the Hecker Hof and would like to thank the entire team for the wonderful hospitality and a very successful celebration. The atmosphere is very charming and cozy. The food or buffet was excellent. Nothing was left to be desired. Service is very friendly and attentive. Even the little guests were enthusiastic and received a friendly welcome. Absolute recommendation!

The Hecker Hof organized a birthday party for us. The landlady lovingly decorated everything according to the occasion. The buffet was first class. All dishes were extremely tasty. Despite the staff shortage, the team tried very hard to fulfill all of our guests' wishes. Everyone felt comfortable. Thanks again!!!

We were guests at a family celebration. The food is great, the service was very eager and responded to all requests. The rooms and the terrace are lovingly furnished down to the last detail and are very clean. It was great for the children in the playground - there is enough space for every urge to move on the completely fenced terrace area with lawn. The guest rooms for overnight stays are great. Modern and stylish, as well as very clean. We'll definitely be back 🙂

A very nice café that invites you to relax with a coffee and a piece of cake or an ice cream sundae. You can enjoy the peace and quiet and the great ambience on the terrace in summer or in the guest room on cool days. The service and the kitchen are top notch, they respond to requests so that the guest is completely satisfied. Definitely worth a visit.

Can't describe it, despite reservations the restaurant was closed. There was also no notice or cancellation. I find that a bit sad.

Das Ambiente lädt zum Verweilen ein, sehr liebevoll hergerichtet. Für Kinder gibt's es verschiedene Möglichkeiten (Schaukel, Wippe, Spielküche, etc.) um sich die Zeit zu vertreiben -> für Eltern sehr entspannend 😉 Die Toiletten sind ebenfalls ein kleines Highlight und absolut sauber! Der Service ist ok, bei unserem ersten Besuch war die Mitarbeiterin leicht genervt und der Kassenbon war fehlerhaft und wir mussten uns selbst alles zusammen rechnen bzw trennen (waren mit zwei Familien dort), beim zweiten Besuch war das nicht der Fall (hoffentlich eine einmalige Ausnahme). Die angebotenen Speisen sind sehr lecker und auch die Portionen sind absolut ok! Wir kommen bestimmt auch ein drittes Mal 😊

Wunderschön und sehr freundlich

Ich war während einer Familienfeier dort. Das Gasthaus ist sehr schön restauriert und hat zu dem einen großzügigen Außenbereich mit hochwertiger Bestuhlung. Die Bedienung ist flott und sehr zuvorkommend. Das Essen war durchweg, vom Gulasch über das Wild bis hin zum Fisch inkl. aller Beilagen, von sehr guter Qualität und sehr lecker. Insgesamt fühlte ich mich willkommen und als Gast geschätzt. Ich war zum ersten aber sicherlich nicht zum letzten Mal da.

Es ist echt schön hier. Das " ältere " Paar welches dieses schöne Haus unterhält ist sehr freundlich auch im Stress für freundliche kurze Gespräche bereit. Seid erst 1 Jahr geöffnet. Respekt für den Mut. Wir kommen wieder.

Die Einrichtung kommt genau nach meinem Geschmack. Die Teller sind mit liebe angerichtet und das Essen schmeckt sehr lecker.

Tolles Ambiente, die junge Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Schade ,bei einigen unserer Gruppe war das Essen nur lauwarm.Das Wildschwein leider noch nicht weich.Die vermutliche Chefin hat etwas schroff darauf hingewiesen, dass doch die Außentoiletten zu benutzen sind.Auch bei der Bestellung lief es nicht ganz richtig. Statt einem oder keinem Kloß gab es für alle 2 Stück.Ein andermal waren wir von der Deko und soweiter sehr angetan,ein Foto davon war jedoch nicht erwünscht. Also erst fragen wäre mein Tipp. Wäre schön ,falls wir mal im Sommer den schönen Außenbereich besuchen wollen, die gut vermeidbaren Kleinigkeiten abzustellen. Wir würden das schöne Objekt gerne mit allen Sinnen genießen dürfen.
