KAORI Restaurant in Dessau-Roßlau

After a long time, I was craving Asian cuisine again. So I decided to visit Kaori Restaurant. I ordered sushi and tried a variety of drinks. It was a wonderful experience, and my stomach has never been so full. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The atmosphere is also very pleasant. It's a very nice restaurant.

Three of us went there for dinner on Saturday without a reservation. A table was available immediately, even though the restaurant was busy. Ordering was quick and super friendly. The sushi was fantastic; we haven't had such good food in a long time. The non-alcoholic cocktails were delicious. We'll be back!

Kaori is a very cozy restaurant with a particularly delicious selection of dishes. The sushi is highly recommended and by no means run-of-the-mill. We've been there several times and have always felt very comfortable. Even for those who aren't sushi fans, there's a wide selection of delicious dishes. We love coming here. We recommend making a reservation.

Very nice staff…The food was amazing…

I ordered the Sushi Master menu, and it was beautifully and tastefully presented. I had no complaints while eating it. However, 30 minutes after leaving the restaurant, I started feeling extremely nauseous and immediately vomited. As soon as the entire menu was out, I immediately felt better. I don't know what was wrong with the sushi, but there must have been something. It's a shame.

I'd like to report on our visit yesterday. Our gin and tonic drinks were overfilled with ice. When we asked, we were told that's how it is and that's how it's handled. That's how we're used to it: two ice cubes are fine, but filling the glass completely is simply unnecessary and distorts the taste. The young waitress was totally annoyed and overwhelmed. She simply lacked the necessary tact. The food was absolutely top-notch. Beautifully presented, it was very tasty. That one young waitress ruined our entire evening. We finally brought it up. It's a shame that something like that shouldn't happen in such a great place. I've been there several times and have always been satisfied, but unfortunately not this time. I don't think it will be our favorite anymore. Too bad.

Very good food and really nice service

We spontaneously ended up at Kaori today :) There were five of us and we were greeted very politely. Asian friendliness :) Great. The service was exceptionally good. Just as it should be :) The entire meal, from starters to main courses, was delicious, beautifully presented, and made with lots of love :) The kids were also absolutely thrilled. We'll be back :) Unfortunately, I only have a photo to share this time, but feel free to experience it for yourself :) PS: Next time, we'd like to use the separate room :)

Went there one evening without a reservation and got a table outside right away. The food is delicious, the gyozas are good as an appetizer, the Kaori Burger is something different – the seitan patty was very good. The mocktails are amazing, and my "Passion Fruit Dream" order was delicious. Service was exceptionally good; you could tell the waiter was making a lot of effort. The food and drinks arrived very quickly. Not as classy an atmosphere as Lou's across the street, but still very pleasant. Portion sizes are good, but the prices are a bit high. All in all, I'd even rank Kaori ahead of Lou's.

The food was delicious!!! It was cold in Dessau, so I wanted a warm soup, so I had rice noodles. The chicken curry also had a delicious sauce, so I highly recommend it. However, the waiter didn't speak English. They didn't even know how to use a spoon... I think you could show them the actual item or use Papago to get the spoon.

Kaori had been on my wish list for a long time. On Friday, I had the opportunity to try the delicacies, albeit the takeaway version. I'm fully aware that the presentation of the food in the plastic container isn't as appealing as on a plate, so I'm skipping that. The chicken was tender as butter and excellently seasoned, and the rice was perfectly fine. But that was it. Both the side salad and the grilled vegetables were completely unseasoned, which made the taste experience a real bummer. The dish was completely lacking in sauce. The portion size was far too small for me—especially considering the price—especially the salad and grilled vegetables. A real shame.

The starter was tempura shrimp, absolutely delicious with great mayo. The main course was red curry with duck. I wish it could have been a bit spicier, but it was still delicious, and the duck was super tender and juicy. The service was also very friendly and unpretentious.

We went there for lunch today. It was delicious. We really enjoyed it. It wasn't busy, of course, so everything came very quickly. The sauces for the appetizers were particularly good. The service was friendly and attentive. They brought out the best in the restaurant. We'll be back

We were always absolute fans of Kaori, but unfortunately, it's declined significantly. Prices, on the other hand, have skyrocketed. I'm happy to pay when I get the quality I expect. I've never had canned tuna in a roll when ordering sushi. At these prices, it's completely unacceptable, or it has to be advertised. Sorry. The sauce contains undeclared peanuts. Dangerous for allergy sufferers. Portion sizes have also changed significantly. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it at the moment.

Food is okay. Unfortunately, the staff does not speak perfectly German, so there are problems with communication. Sushi is not perfect either, but it still tastes. But the furnishings are very, very nice and there is a nice selection of dishes that are all in terms of price.

Absolutely disappointing! I can't believe how disrespectful the staff is at this sushi restaurant. An employee behaved extremely rudely and provocatively towards me - with a tone that was completely inappropriate. Instead of being friendly and service minded, she acted like it was a burden to serve us. I've never experienced anything like this! In a restaurant I expect at least a modicum of respect. I advise everyone not to visit this restaurant. Such behavior is an absolute no-go

First, there were problems with the reservation, and we had to eat between the door and the counter. The restaurant is loud and more reminiscent of a train station concourse, especially if you're familiar with the old McDonald's. The food was okay; we've had better. Overall, disappointing.

The food was so-so. A bit underseasoned and the portions a bit small, but otherwise it was okay. Service was very friendly, and the atmosphere was somewhat reminiscent of the old McDonald's that once stood there. Prices are roughly the same as in other restaurants of this category.

Since we were in St. Mary's Church, we looked for a restaurant nearby and came across Kaori. Small cozy restaurant with very tasty food and drinks. It took a while before the drinks arrived, but we had time and had a nice evening. I found the price-performance ratio to be very good, there are other restaurants (opposite) that charge significantly more for similar food. Many dishes are served with fish vinaigrette. I don't like fish and asked for a different sauce but was unfortunately refused. I then ordered something without fish sauce - which I didn't originally want - and was very disappointed. The spring rolls had a rubbery consistency. It's a shame that they were so inflexible and didn't accommodate my request for a different sauce. So it makes no sense for me to come back.

Viele der Gerichte werden mit Fisch-Vinaigrette gereicht. Da ich keinen Fisch mag, hatte ich um eine andere Sauce gebeten. Das wurde kategorisch abgelehnt. Daraufhin habe ich dann nur Frühlingsrollen bestellt, die eine gummiartige Konsistenz hatten und kalt waren. Ich war nicht zufrieden und verstehe nicht, wieso es nicht möglich war, meinem Wunsch nach einer Sauce jenseits von Fisch nachzukommen. Ich komme nicht wieder.

Excellent food in a beautifully designed restaurant. We ordered a sushi combo for two, which was perfectly portioned, made with fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented. For dessert, we enjoyed matcha ice cream and mochis, both of which were incredibly delicious and authentic. They also offer affordable lunch menus on weekdays, which I’d love to try next time.

The restaurant was recommended to us by friends and we were very grateful for the recommendation. The food was super delicious. The quality of the drinks and food is very high. Personally, I really liked that there was also a large selection of non-alcoholic drinks. I usually always take photos of food but this time it just looked too delicious so I wanted to try it straight away. 🙈 The decor is very stylish and not kitschy like most Asians. I thought the room layout was very nice - the elongated shape didn't give you the feeling of a train station hall. Even though we sat right next to the door it wasn't uncomfortable. The service was very friendly and attentive. Price-performance simply unbeatable. This was definitely not our last visit. We can definitely recommend KAORI too. Personally, I can only recommend the duck or of course the sushi. Please keep it up!!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Yesterday, 8 of us were allowed to go to the restaurant shortly before closing time, order food and also eat on site. The staff were all very friendly despite being open for a long time and the food was sensational. Gladly again and again

Since it was very full, we had to wait about 15 minutes for our reserved table, but the food and the ambience were very good! The staff is very friendly! All in all a success!

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We were looking for an Asian restaurant and luckily came across KAORI in Dessau. As soon as we entered, we were warmly welcomed and were able to order our drinks straight away, which were served promptly. The service was extremely friendly and attentive throughout our visit. When the food was served we were impressed by the attractive presentation, but the best part was definitely the taste. Every single dish was a pleasure. For starters we had edamame and crispy fried banh bao, served perfectly with a sweet dipping sauce. Our mains – peanut curry, pancetta and black tiger prawns – were outstanding. The meats were cooked to perfection, the bacon was marinated and the chicken was tender and juicy. Particularly noteworthy is the sushi platter that the chef put together for us - a fantastic selection in which the freshness and quality of the fish could clearly be tasted. The modern and stylish ambience of the restaurant rounded off our experience perfectly. We felt completely comfortable and will definitely come back. Absolute recommendation! 🍣

Very nice location, great ambience. Asian cuisine, you are only served by Asian employees. The food tastes very tasty. However, the hot dishes could be a little more in quantity. There is also a large selection of freshly prepared sushi dishes, also very tasty. The restaurant is easy to reach by public transport and highly recommended.

We were there with the family and surprisingly there were several dessert plates from the house for the birthday child and the whole family. There was even a small fountain and birthday music played through the restaurant. When it comes to food, the great variety is worth emphasizing; you can always try something new that isn't available anywhere else. The employees are very friendly and accommodating.

Really hot loads are always a pleasure

Actually a nice restaurant, also delicious dishes, unfortunately dogs are strictly forbidden, even small ones in the bag or locked dog buggy. I don't know that from any restaurant in Dessau and the surrounding area. It's a shame, you lose your guests to the competition, dogs are not a problem at Lou.

We celebrated our son's birthday yesterday, Saturday September 7th. Since he is drawn to Japan, we chose Japanese cuisine and were not disappointed in the Kaori Restaurant. Very fine dishes also beautifully presented to the eye. The service was very accommodating, friendly and fully responsive to the guest. We really enjoyed being guests here and will happily remember this restaurant for another occasion. Thank you very much

Fast and friendly service and great food

What can you say other than 5 stars? The food was super tasty, the 2 sauces for the summer rolls were awesome. The lychee lemonade is awesome and the little fruit skewer on top is a nice detail. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the sushi, with the homemade mayo it's simply delicious. The service is friendly and attentive, it couldn't be better :) I can highly recommend the matcha ice cream for dessert. There's nothing to complain about in terms of the ambience, nothing reminds you of the former McDonald's that used to be here ;)
