Small and cozy. Very friendly and efficient staff. Our group of six received very friendly and prompt service. The kitchen was also very fast. The food was fresh and generally okay, but we all felt it lacked a bit of flair or spice. It tasted fresh, but a bit bland. Overall, the price-performance ratio is okay.

What kind of information are those on Google? Average guest spends 10 to 20 euros, when a Margherita pizza already costs 11 euros, a burger 14.90 euros, and a 250g beef fillet with potatoes 34.90 euros. A 0.2l white wine spritzer costs 5.50 euros, a 4cl long drink 7.80 euros. A rating of 4.7* (?) for an average restaurant. Italian can be done better, and soul food even better. The place really should have 3 stars – that would be truly appropriate given the service and location. However, the 4.7 is so inadequate that a corrective is needed to avoid feeling deceived if you do decide to visit. We spontaneously stopped by for dinner one evening. There's a large TV in the dining room, playing their own advertisements on a continuous loop – always talking about soul food. They must have hired a professional marketing agency, because the images are undoubtedly appealing. We, too, chose the canal shed based on their online presence. And this isn't meant to be a mere, destructive criticism. This location is certainly a great place to enjoy a beer on a sunny day. But the food, unfortunately, wasn't convincing, and certainly not soul food. The pizza was paper-thin, the toppings were obviously cheap, just like the entire concept. Unfortunately, the feta cheese was also bad. By the way, pasta here is exclusively called spaghetti. The aglio e olio tasted very bland, and the chili oil seems to have been simply topped up with oil for a long time. It tasted neither of chili nor of good oil, and unfortunately, it wasn't spicy at all. Italian is actually soul food par excellence! But you won't find that here. It consistently cuts corners and instead attracts tourists with exaggerated online marketing. Once again - feel free to visit, just don't expect Italian soul food.

First, the positives: The service was nice and friendly, and they made every effort to serve quickly. - The location right on the water is beautiful. - There are plenty of parking spaces (paid). - But the food isn't "Italian soul food." . . . . . . I can't imagine any Italian returning to this restaurant a second time. My salad had only a few drops of a vague dressing on it. - There are frozen pizzas that have tastier and crispier pizza dough than the one offered here. - At least two people in our group sent their pizzas back to the kitchen to have the toppings adjusted. - The value for money is to the detriment of the customer. - The situation in the restrooms could be improved. - We won't be visiting this restaurant again!

The food was very mediocre. The pasta and appetizer were unfortunately too salty. The pizza was very mediocre. Not bad, but Italian is different.

The seating is lovely by the water, inside or outside. The service is very prompt and attentive. The food is excellent.

Beautiful, stylish outdoor terrace with views of the harbor and the city. Friendly staff.

A very pretty place, with a great atmosphere, but very unpleasant service. At a running event, the waiter very rudely complained to a marshal about the "cheering noise" – very unwise, as the restaurant had benefited greatly from the race, and despite the truly lovely location, we won't be coming back. What a shame.

Let's start with the food. Pizza Tonno and Pizza Salami. The crust was nice and thin yet crispy, not wobbly and soft. Very tasty. We thought the large Coke Zero was a bit expensive at €5.50. We loved the atmosphere. Cool decor and a fantastic view of the harbor. Service was good. Friendly and attentive. What we didn't like so much were the restrooms. All in all, we would come back again.

We've eaten there once or twice. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is fantastic. What I like best is the chef's approach; he doesn't hold back, and when he's right, he stands up for himself. Probably a big indicator of the restaurant's popularity!

I only had a cappuccino and asked for a tap water. In many restaurants, this is free of charge. I would have paid 50 cents or €1. But they charged me €3. I find that incredibly outrageous. It's a shame!

Four stars because the value for money isn't quite right. We ordered takeout, and the food was ready on time. The pizzas were also good. The casserole consisted of an incredible amount of cream with hollandaise sauce on top, and lots of cheese on top. Some people might like it that way, but we didn't.

You can sit by the water and enjoy a fantastic view! Unfortunately, the food and wine are pretty subpar; we've rarely had such bad pasta! What a shame!

We were in the outdoor dining area in perfect summer weather. It's self-service, which needs to be explained to some people... But you can also order food alongside drinks, and even if it takes a little longer, it tastes great. We had two pizzas 🍕. Just enjoying the end of the day with a view of the fjord. We'd go back anytime. And a shout out to the staff for handling all the visitors so perfectly. It's certainly not easy, especially during the season. Thank you.

The seating is very nice, either directly on the water or on the pier. If the weather is bad, you can also sit inside. The pizza and pasta were very tasty. The service is friendly and fast. It gets quite busy in the evenings. We can also recommend the breakfast for €7.50 in the morning.

Pizza really not tasty, beer not cold

Long wait, pizza wasn't good, pasta wasn't good either, and it took a very long time. Beer wasn't cold.

Unfortunately, it was a disappointing visit. The location right by Flensburg's harbor is beautiful, but the food was completely underwhelming. The pizza was far too hard and sparsely topped – truly not enjoyable. The pasta was completely overcooked and tasteless. The beer was also a disappointment: warm and poorly tapped. All in all, unfortunately, not a recommendation, despite the actually good view.

Beautifully located by the harbor. Unfriendly service at the outdoor restaurant. Drinks were only refilled to the fill line upon request. The food was not tasty. The pasta was overcooked, tasteless, and contained many ingredients that don't belong in a classic alio & olio. The pasta garnish was a yellow/brown leaf. My friends also said their pizza was not tasty. I won't be coming back.

I always enjoy going there. The service is always great. I was just about to have another glass of wine. The waitress told me not to park my bike near the dish cart. I actually park my bike there every other day and it hasn't bothered anyone so far. It's public property, by the way. The beach club a few meters away just gets the profit. And the tip, too, of course!

The food was really not good. Garlic bread was boring and not tasty. Bolognese spaghetti without Bolognese sauce; you won't find any meat there. We don't understand why it's called that here. Spaghetti has nothing to do with al dente either. The pizza was okay, but definitely not something we'd look forward to again. The only nice thing is the proximity to the water and the view.

Personally, I can't vouch for soul food. I've rarely eaten such a sad salad. I expect a colorful variety, not a wild herb salad mix with three halved cherry tomatoes and coarsely chopped onions with canned corn. The pizza tonno took a long time to arrive, and the tuna must have been weighed, as there was hardly any. We cleaned the cutlery ourselves before eating. It was in the clean cutlery drawer, but still dirty. It's a shame, because the place is quite nice.

Nice brunch plate and fantastic service

The friendly colleague gave us a free couple of beers since all the other shops were already closed. After several requests, he still refused to accept the money...

We went there for a spontaneous Sunday breakfast. Despite the fact that it was quite busy and the weather was nice, we were greeted and served warmly. The breakfast was great, and the atmosphere was superb, right on the harbor. Some guests were a bit rude to the waitress, but we found her to be super friendly and very helpful. Thank you. We'll be back.

It's a very nice restaurant with a sea view, the food is delicious, and the service is so pleasant that you can have a nice chat. Free drinks are also included, so always be nice :)

The burgers are very good, and everything else is perfect. Overall, 9.8 out of 10, simply top-notch.

Great breakfast, very friendly staff

On the positive side, the service was genuinely friendly and attentive, and the speed with which the drinks and food arrived at the table. The food, however, was "pseudo-Italian" at best. The spaghetti Bolognese contained only traces of meat, was overcooked, and tasted more like canned Erasco. The pizza frutti di mare was very sparsely topped but generally edible with a crispy, thin base. The tiramisu, on the other hand, was a joke. It came in the form of a strange biscuit topping and was definitely a frozen convenience product, with a chewy, hypersweet chocolate mass inside, to which bone-dry biscuit sticks clung. It was a bit like being served a defrosted YES Torty in a Viennese coffee house. The location and the view of the harbor are, of course, wonderful and privileged. But the experience wasn't Italian, so the term "tourist trap" came to mind. If I go again for the view, I'd go for the burgers, which are supposed to be pretty good here.

A super delicious pizza an experience

The seating is quite pleasant, but the wait times are absolutely unacceptable. The number of customers was manageable. And we had to wait over 50 minutes for a pizza and pasta....

We ordered two burgers. For our taste, they were very bread-heavy—too much bread compared to the toppings. The bread was also very dry and not airy. The meat was good, but not particularly good. The ambiance is very nice and pleasant, whether you sit outside or inside!

The outdoor area is well located and has been significantly expanded compared to previous years. Unfortunately, as of July, the drinks menu was outdated and dated from the previous year (in our case, there were about 10% differences), and the bar service was unfriendly. I won't be going back anytime soon; there are alternatives.

Marie treated us to an incredible evening. As a farewell, she offered us a Flensburg specialty called Betonmischer (concrete mixer). Sooooo delicious.

In short: great, cheerful service, delicious food, and a great location! Highly recommended!

Italian soul food? Well, okay. I can't imagine any Italian visiting this restaurant a second time. The salad 🥗 had just one or three drops of balsamic vinegar on it. - Some frozen pizzas 🍕 offer tastier and crispier pizza dough than the one served here. And when the asparagus pizza served doesn't even have a fifth as much asparagus as in the advertising photo on the table, then that's the end of it... The price-performance ratio isn't right. - The service was nice and friendly. - The location right on the water is beautiful. - There are plenty of parking spaces (for a fee).

A disappointing and disrespectful experience. I visited the Kanalschuppen restaurant in Flensburg to have a quiet coffee and a quick video call with my sister. I sat quietly at my seat and didn't disturb anyone. Suddenly, a man spoke to me loudly and rudely: "It's not allowed to use a video here!" He then said, "I'm the owner of this restaurant, and I don't want my guests disturbed." That was very hurtful—because I was a paying customer myself who behaved respectfully and quietly. The situation was embarrassing and completely ruined my experience. Even if there are rules, it's important to treat guests respectfully as a host—especially in the restaurant industry. I will not visit this restaurant again and, unfortunately, cannot recommend it under these circumstances.

Waited 45 minutes for a pizza and a pasta dish. When it arrived it was cold.

We wouldn't have given it a star, but unfortunately, that's required to submit a review. We ordered a Prosciutto Funghi and a Bresaola Arugula (beef) pizza – instead, we received a pizza that was supposedly bresaola, but instead was topped with Prosciutto Cotto (pork). The cheese was more reminiscent of packaged cheese and had nothing in common with good pizza cheese, neither in taste nor consistency. The dough was noticeably floury and dry – unfortunately disappointing in terms of taste. Even a frozen pizza would have been more convincing. The service also left a lot to be desired: The staff seemed very uninformed and unprofessional. It's a shame, but for us, this was definitely our first and last visit.

Nice restaurant - not recommended for eating First, the positives: beautifully located by the harbor, nice restaurant, and decent service. The food: I ordered a pizza calzone, and it was simply filled with (almost) pasta and a little tomato sauce. I wasn't informed of this either on the menu or when ordering. But that certainly doesn't belong in a calzone. Furthermore, the pasta was very overcooked, and the whole dish was incredibly poorly seasoned. In short: it tasted like a baby bottle of "pasta in tomato sauce," and that for €16. No thanks. PS: My companion had the pizza Frutti di Mare - that wasn't exactly a taste experience either. The restaurant advertises itself as "Italian soul food"...but I can't tell for the life of me.

The food wasn't good. The view was nice, but next time I'll spend my money elsewhere. Warning: No Italian calzone. This place uses dough filled with unseasoned spaghetti. If you only list calzone on the menu, please make it traditional.

The penne pollo tasted like dry pasta from the supermarket (instead of sauce, some of the pasta was more like pesto, but also dry white pasta), with a few stray short spaghetti in the dish. The pizza crust tasted more like it had been boiled, like it came from Aldi with a good topping. The steak, which I ordered rare, was cooked perfectly, but with so few toppings that there was plenty of room to cut the steak, and it ended up gristly (odd for a fillet). We're heading to the chip shop right now.

One of the places in Flensburg's harbor basin where you can take a break or grab a bite to eat right by the water. Great location, but no service in the afternoon. I don't think it's that good value for money, as I have to pay full price but don't get any service.

We ordered takeaway on Sunday evening and were able to pick up our order after about 30 minutes. The ordering process initially went smoothly over the phone. Unfortunately, we received one of the pasta dishes without the scampi that we ordered, which accounted for about a third of the price of the dish. Very annoying! When we tried to clarify this by phone, we were only connected to a voicemail. The other dishes (pasta and pizza) were delicious. Nevertheless, we are, of course, somewhat disappointed overall.

I can only recommend it. The super friendly staff. The coffee tastes amazing, and the burger is incredibly tasty. I highly recommend it. It's always worth a visit.

We finally got something to eat and drink here after a very long drive from Kerpen. Our waiter, Markus, was especially otherworldly. He took our order without a pad or pencil and repeatedly asked us if everything was okay, without being the least bit pushy. We had a wonderful first evening of our vacation here, not least because of Markus.

The food was not recommended. The spaghetti with meat sauce was just spaghetti and no meat at all.

Valgte at besøge restaurent udfra gode trustpilot anmeldelser og den flotte hjemmeside. Få min efter bestilling blev pizza'er serveret. Ved siden af sad andre og røg i det overdækket rum. Skuffet over kvaliteten. Pizzabund med gorgonzola var meget blød og våd. Kun kanten sprød. Gjorde tjener opmærksomhed på det. Men sådan var det, når man valgte pizza med gorgonzola! Ret smagsløg pizza og trist i udseende. Tjenerne virkede ligegyldige. Da vi bad om regning kom der efterfølgende en mere og spurgte om vi ville betale. Vi var der ca. 30 min.

Really good food, really nice atmosphere. Sat outside and we were not more than 10 meters from the water. There were heat lamps so even though there was a drizzle it wasn't cold. The pizza was delicious, good place for Italian food. Definitely worth a visit.

Very cozy pizza eating at the harbor!

Unbelievable. As a family just returning from child-friendly Denmark, this visit was a real shock. After waiting ten minutes, we were finally noticed. When we asked about a children's menu or a suitable dish for our four-year-old, we received only a curt "no" and uncomprehending looks. The employee then disappeared without us even being able to order. Two minutes later, another employee came and asked us to leave the table, saying it was a regulars' table. It was only 1 p.m., and the sign on the table clearly stated "not occupied after 4 p.m." I have never encountered such unfriendly and unprofessional service. Absolutely not recommended, especially for families.

Auf der Durchreise waren wir froh in dieser Stadt nach langer Suche überhaupt noch kurz nach 21 Uhr etwas zu essen zu bekommen. Der Tisch, den wir uns eigentlich ausgesucht hatten (das Lokal war schon fast leer) mussten wir wieder räumen, da es angeblich ein Stammtisch für Leute ist, die dann aber nie kamen.. Normalerweise wäre das schon ein Grund, gleich wieder zu gehen aber wir hatten Riesen Hunger, also Zähne zusammen gebissen .. Die Nudeln (meine mit Tomatensosse) waren leider völlig überkocht.. die Nudeln für meinen Sohn waren zwar etwas besser aber das war niemals eine Pesto! Ausser irgendeinem Öl (leider auch nicht mal Olivenöl) und fein gehackter Petersilie waren da weder Parmesan noch Pinienkerne drin. Auf meine Bitte, wenigstens etwas geriebenen Parmesan zu erhalten, hieß es, der sei aus.. ja klar. Sorry aber das habe ich in über 40 Jahren, die ich sehr regelmäßig essen gehe, noch gar nie erlebt. Und das Essen meiner Frau war zudem sehr wenig und dann auch noch fast kalt... der Kellner war zwar freundlich aber in Summe war das alles enttäuschend und leider nicht empfehlenswert.
