Beautiful location, good food, friendly service

The food was truly outstanding. Everything was homemade, and the service and ambiance made you feel completely at home. An all-around perfect evening.

Best fish in Hamburg!! A must-stop!

This place sells both burgers and sushi, which honestly feels like a strange combo – and not in a good way. But we gave it a try anyway, and I ended up ordering something called a sushi dog. And I have to say… it was definitely an experience. The taste was surprisingly good – the fish was fresh, and I actually liked the deep-fried rice that replaced the hot dog bun. It’s basically a weird fusion between German sausage culture and Japanese sushi – a hot dog made entirely of sushi ingredients. The crispy rice “bun” and the soft salmon on top worked well flavour-wise, but it was definitely messy to eat. While it tasted good and was fun to try, I wouldn’t order it again. What I love about Japanese cuisine is the delicate presentation and this kind of threw all that out the window. Also, my husband got the burger, which was very mediocre at best – definitely not worth it. So if you do end up here, skip the burger, maybe try the sushi dog once for the fun of it

Unfriendly waiter. No hello or goodbye. No menu, but a nice QR code taped to the table. We were immediately yelled at for wanting to add an extra chair to a table, then we were yelled at again for having the audacity to put up the parasol at the table in a calm, sunny day. Because one of our group was still in the restroom after we had already paid, we were asked to get up and leave the table. I've rarely been treated more rudely in a restaurant.

Beware of this rip-off. Expensive tourist prices. Food is average at best. Don't support it.

It is always a bit of a bad sign when a place sells both sushi and burgers, and it turned out that we should have listened to the warnings. To be fair, the food was fine. I got a standard middle of the road burger, with fries and truffle mayo. By friends got ths fried sushi dog, which was a bit much. The place is definitely not a 4.6 out of 5.

A very nice place if you want to enjoy a casual fish and chips outside, right by the water and close to the Elbphilharmonie. The prices are completely reasonable, and the service is very friendly.

I went there with my family on Sunday, and we had a wonderful experience. We tried two different burgers, sushi, and a dessert—everything was excellently prepared. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Honestly, I haven't been to such a beautiful place with such a great team in a long time. A definite 10 out of 10! 🌟

It was my first time at Kaisers and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was truly delicious – I had the Korean Bowl, and it was super fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. You can tell they care about quality here. The staff was consistently friendly and attentive, and you immediately felt at home. The location itself is modern yet cozy, with a truly beautiful view of the Elbe River – a highlight, especially in good weather. Overall, a very harmonious package. I'll definitely be back!

Very friendly and fast service, and they even gave us more information about the begging local feathered resident. The young herring gull has a friend (a duck), and they beg together. 😉 The food was very good and served in a short time. The burger sauce in the veggie burger was a bit too spicy for kids (sweet chili sauce), I could point that out. Seating right by the water 👍

We went to Kaisers for dinner today. The food was delicious, whether it was a burger, currywurst, or fish and chips, we enjoyed everything. The service was very friendly and quick. The atmosphere could be a bit more cozy; it would certainly be better in nice weather.

Et godt og spændende menukort, med bl.a en tun burger, som man ikke ser hver dag. Det smagte også ganske udemærket. Desværre følte vi os generelt overset af personalet. Hvor man aldrig blev spurgt om tingene var ok. Om man manglede noget. Og uanset om man skulle bestille mere eller betale, måtte man kæmpe for personalets opmærksomhed. Samtidig med de sad midt i restauranten på skift, for at spise, når de ikke var ved at massere hinanden. Vi sad lige indenfor døren, men den var kørt fra. Så vi fik også lov til at være passive rygere for en dag og midt i maden. Det gjorde heller ikke oplevelsen bedre. Ligger ved vandet, men udsigt ind i et lejlighedskompleks. Men maden isoleret set, fortjener dog større karakter, end det det samlede billede, her ender med at høste.

Very tasty burgers, but a bit pricey without sides (around €18). We ordered fries with them, but they lacked a bit of seasoning. The homemade lemonades were great. The service was very fast and friendly.

Very good food. I had bulgogi beef burger, really, really tasty and a great portion sizes too! Slightly on the salty side but still really good. Waiter was superb and spoke great English and also gave us lots of suggestions. Fantastic!

Wir hatten hier ein nettes aber nicht ganz billiges Frühstück, wobei vor allem die Getränke teuer waren. Aber der Service war sympathisch und die Atmosphäre ist eh kaum zu toppen.

Wäre schön hier… wenn das Personal wenigstens ein bisschen bemüht wäre! Das Lokal liegt direkt am Grasbrookhafen an der Promenade zur Elbphilharmonie. Und es wäre ein idealer Ort, um einen guten Aperol zu trinken. Die Motivation des Personals ist aber unterirdisch - die Kellner scheinen überhaupt kein Interesse zu haben, die Kunden zu bedienen. Höflichkeit, zB mit einem freundlichen Hinweis, dass man gleich bedient wird, fehlt hier völlig. Im Gegenteil: man wird nicht eines Blickes gewürdigt und wenn man auf sich aufmerksam macht schroff darauf hingewiesen, dass man halt warten muss. Als der Kellner dann kam, fiel ihm das Tablett auf unseren Tisch und mehrere Gläser sind zerbrochen - sowas kann natürlich passieren. Jedoch gab es keine Entschuldigung, kein Bedauern - vielmehr grantige Blicke. Alles in allem sehr enttäuschend - es gibt im Umfeld ausreichend bessere Lokale mit freundlichen Menschen im Service!

We ate at Kaisers today after a concert at the Elphi. The service was attentive and friendly, the place was clean, and the food was delivered promptly. The bowl was tasty—but at almost €20, it was a bit overpriced. The Caesar salad was OK, but for the price I was expecting something other than store-bought croutons. The fries weren't crispy and could have used a longer stint in the fryer. The negative highlight, however, was the cheeseburger for €17.50 (without sides). For that price, the burger should be a real stunner, but unfortunately, it was far from that. The meat was cooked rock hard, and otherwise it was pretty run-of-the-mill. Overall, the food was not value for money at all.

We came here spontaneously and found a nice spot outside. The price for Aperol is quite steep at €11. The food, however, was delicious. We had tempura shrimp and the crispy chicken roll.

Very reasonably priced for the area and absolutely delicious food! The cheddar burger was so rich, I couldn't finish my fries after I finished it. We also loved the teriyaki skewers. The fleece blankets offered on the terrace are a nice touch.

Obwohl Aperol Spritz wie der Name schon sagt ein spritziges Sommergetränk ist haben wir hier ein Getränk ohne Spritz und Pfiff on Top mit einer super kleinen Apfelsinenschale serviert bekommen. Das Ganze dann auch noch für 11,50 € pro Glas als wäre dies ein aufwendiges Cocktailgetränk. Die Bedienung war freundlich und hat auf unser Erstaunen hin nur erklärt, dass dieser völlig überzogene Preis vom Chef so gewünscht sei. 🤔Wahrscheinlich muss sie sich oft am Tag für diese Unverhältnismäßigkeit entschuldigen. Einfach nur unglaublich..

Baked fish and remoulade were tasty, but the fries were below average. The atmosphere is nice, located right on the water. The service: well... If you want to express it positively, Hanseatic matter-of-factly, if not, you would call it rather arrogant and not hospitable...

Before our visit to the Elbphilharmonie, we came to this restaurant spontaneously and without a reservation. Despite the full house, the waiter put a lot of effort into organizing a table for us - with success! Although the price level is high, it is absolutely justified given the location and the ambience. The beautiful view in particular further enhanced the experience. Even for someone like me who doesn't like sushi, there was a good selection on the menu. We both decided on a bowl, which not only tasted great but was also very filling. The service is particularly noteworthy: our waiter had the entire restaurant under control and was always attentive. Overall, an absolute recommendation – we would love to come back!

We wanted to grab something to eat quickly before our evening program and ended up at Kaisers. The service was very nice and the drinks and food came at a sensational speed. We were impressed with the quality and the price/performance ratio is very fair. Even hungry agents get their fill here. Would love to come back.

Great location - right on the Kaiserkai in Hafencity. People like to eat here when the weather is warm. The food also tastes really delicious, the sushi hot dog is something different and tastes really delicious. Very cool idea for sushi lovers. You'll definitely be super full too.

We were at the Kaiser at lunchtime. The service was very attentive and friendly. Ambience small but nice. The food was tasty but didn't blow us away. Price performance between 18-30 euros 5 people 140 euros including drinks. THE BURGER IS SERVED WITHOUT FRIES! I THINK IT'S A LITTLE TOO EXPENSIVE!

The waitress, who is not very friendly, prefers to smoke her cigarette outside rather than bring desserts and when it's time to get the bill, she prefers to dance. In summary, don't go there to have quality service, it's barely average, just mediocre. The dishes are OK but not very plentiful.

The atmosphere is super pleasant and cozy, you immediately feel at home. The food was really tasty, especially the fish 'n' chips - crispy and fresh, just right. The service was totally friendly and attentive without being intrusive. All in all, a really nice shop that I would happily recommend.

Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend allerdings hätte man etwas aufmerksamer sein können. Das Essen / Gänge wurden etwas zu schnell nacheinander geliefert. Leider was das Essen geschmacklich nicht sonderlich gut. Der Burgerpatti war trocken und die Knödel zur Ente waren Tütenware. Leider war es dafür preislich zu hoch. Man musste auch die Beilagen (Pommes zum Burger) extra ordern, was zusätzlich die Rechnung in die Höhe getrieben hat. Alles in Allem so lala...

Der Koreanische Burger war echt lecker.Der Service nett,an manchen Stellen wäre aber noch Luft nach oben bei der Unsichtigkeit.

Modernes stylisches kleines Restaurant. Service war auf Zack. Es hat geschmeckt. Wer sich nicht auskennt, sucht im Dunkeln aber vergebens. Hinweis in der Beschreibung dass das Restaurant am Ufer liegt und nicht an der Straße wäre hilfreich.

We were invited to a company party and the food was good. Unfortunately the wait staff wasn't in a good mood that day, which spoiled the experience a bit. Additionally, I personally didn't think it was justified that there was only a digital menu. A few suggestions for improvement could significantly improve the overall impression.

Schönes kleines Restaurant am Wasser. Sehr schön. Speisekarte über QR Code. Funktioniert ohne Probleme wenn man es erstmal verstanden hat wie ;) Schöne ansprechende Bilder von jeder Speise. Gefiel uns gut. Trotz der etwas größeren Gruppe ging es mit der Bestellung schnell. Es hat uns allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Frage nach Allergene wurde nach Rücksprache mit dem Koch schnell beantwortet. Prima!

Perfect place before visiting the Elphi

Wirklicher netter und zuvorkommender Service, das Essen war ok. Leider riecht es extrem nach Essen/Fett. Unsere Sachen mussten direkt in die Wäsche. Das Ambiente wirkt auf den Bildern online exklusiver, als es ist.

We are disappointed, disappointed in the service and the slick response of the employee!! We reserved a table about six weeks ago especially for a big birthday. When we were there, they just said we have a closed society today!! Questionable with a booking confirmation and written exchange in advance. Very disappointing!! So despite confirmation, always call beforehand!! Too bad

Unfortunately, expectations were not met. Fish + chips ended up being fried fish with poorly fried frozen fries and the burger without any side dishes was good but too expensive. Service nice and attentive.

We ordered burgers (chilli-lemon & veggie), which all tasted good, but nothing special. The food came quickly, but the service could be even friendlier and more welcoming.

Worst breakfast. Ordered French toast with avocado. It consisted of a slice of toast that had been fried in fat and was dripping with fat, it was inedible, and there was no egg at all. 2 avocado slices were next to it. After a complaint, an attempt was made to prepare it again, without success. Our waitress was a younger man, very unfriendly, not a smile on his face, little knowledge of German, could hardly give us any information. The chef didn't understand any German, nor did another lady working at the bar. So it was difficult to discuss our concerns. It was the second time we were there, back in the evening, it wasn't good either, now it was the last time there, tourist trap..

We noticed this busy restaurant by the canal with lots of seating outside and rugs to keep customers warm. We are so glad we tried the restaurant. The fish and chips and the fish burger we had were excellent, as were the traditional beers. Staff were friendly and the prices were reasonable. Highly recommended.

Nos dimos cuenta de este restaurante ocupado junto al canal con un montón de asientos fuera y alfombras para mantener a los clientes calientes. Estamos muy contentos de haber probado el restaurante. El pescado con patatas fritas y la hamburguesa de pescado que tuvimos fueron excelentes, al igual que las cervezas tradicionales. El personal era amable y los precios eran razonables. Muy recomendable.

Vorausschicken möchte ich, das der Besuch des Restaurants bereits im April 2018 erfolgte. Tripadvisor stellt diese Auswahl des Zeitraums nicht zur Verfügung. Wir haben uns im Außenbereich für einen schattigen Platz entschieden, was dazu führte, dass der Kellner etwas weniger Platz zum Vorbeigehen hatte. Leider wurde dies von ihm mit Unmut aufgenommen, was für uns den ansonsten angenehmen Restaurantbesuch getrübt hat. Es wäre schön, wenn solche Situationen professioneller und mit etwas mehr Verständnis für die Bedürfnisse der Gäste gehandhabt würden. Wir schätzen es, wenn das Personal freundlich bleibt, auch in einer stressigen Saison.

Wir waren am Sonntag Abend um 20:15 Uhr dort. Online war’s zu lesen, dass das Restaurant bis 22:00 Uhr geöffnet hat. Da alle bereits am aufräumen waren, haben wir vorsichtig nachgefragt und erhielten die Auskunft, dass eigentlich um 21:00 Uhr geschlossen wird. Wir blieben trotzdem, das Essen und der Service waren super! Und wir wurden auch nicht raus geworfen. 👍

Great store, service unfortunately subpar! We sat for 15 minutes, the waiter walked past us several times, took in 4 other tables that came after us and collected 5 tables. We then waved to indicate that we wanted to order, whereupon the waiter skillfully ignored us and went to another table. Afterwards the second waitress came to us and told us she couldn't take our order because it wasn't her area, which is what we left for. Too bad!

Food it’s ok, neither good or bad. Lemonade is extremelly sweet for my taste, lots of syrup. Personally I wouldn’t come back.

Great evening! The currywurst is very good, if you order sushi it is prepared "live" in the dining room. It was a spontaneous meal, but it was very worth it 👌

Das essen war sehr gut, jedoch war das Restaurant sehr voll - wir hatten reserviert und wurden erst nach mehrmaligem fragen an einen Tisch gebeten der offensichtlich frei war. Der Service am Tisch war jedoch sehr nett.
