I would like to join others here who have experienced the same things as we did. We use the campsite as a transit point (we continue to do so with pleasure. The campsite is not affected by the recession to the Kaiseralm) and were looking forward to eating at the Kaiseralm. Unfortunately, we discovered that the menu had been changed and, among other things, the previously very tasty Kaiserschmarren was missing. Some other main courses were also taken off the menu. My onion roast was a bit low for the price and the burger was average. The real onions were replaced with fried onions from the packaging. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio no longer fits.

I can't understand the bad recessions. Our food was wonderful, the burger was on point, my wife's goulash was even prepared gluten-free and our daughter's meal was prepared appropriately. The taste was where it belonged. It was just good. As for the prices. They are simply the “top dog”. Nevertheless, I think the prices correspond to the quantity and quality. For us there was absolutely nothing to complain about. The cleanliness of the toilets was also very good. Clean and everything was available in sufficient quantities. The only downer - in my opinion - is the prevailing “darkness” in the guest room. But that can be seen objectively!

At 6 p.m. in the low season, when the alpine hut was empty and the space was half-used by tables in the outdoor area, we were turned away because there was no more space. By the time we left the farm, 5 other families had been turned away. Either they are full at the end of the season or have no staff. Both very unfortunate. The hut is extremely cozy and the demand is enormous to achieve good sales. Both with drinks and food. This is left behind. Since it is the only option within a reasonable walking distance for us, this will be the last visit.

We ate at the Kaiser Alm a total of 3 times during our vacation. We went spontaneously on the first evening and were lucky, but reservations are recommended. A very impressive team, very friendly and accommodating. You feel comfortable here as a guest. The drinks and food come quickly after ordering and, above all, the food is very good and of very good quality. Keep it up, you're great!

We were here for a short vacation and visited the Kaiseralm several times. In addition to the Bavarian cuisine, we enjoyed the Mediterranean and very finely balanced cuisine. The desserts were amazing. A great team, always friendly, attentive and warm. We'll be back and wish you continued success! Mariette and Michael

We went for dinner on a Thursday. Only part of the beer garden was open. Luckily we had reservations. For those who did not make a reservation, there was the option of coming later or ordering food to take away. The food was delicious, but the children's portions were very small. BUT: A quiet, cozy dinner was out of the question. There was a “I think it was management” that sent the employees around in a commanding tone, which really bothered my wife and I. We humans are all different, but you could still be considerate of your guests. When the boss “I think his name is Gerald” took over the seating of the guests for 5 minutes, you immediately noticed a quiet and cozy atmosphere in the entire beer garden.

Restaurant at the campsite, friendly staff, fast service. Food very tasty, price performance fits. Reservation is recommended.

Update August 2024: For several years now we have been going to Kaiser Camping for a few nights. Unfortunately, the Kaiseralm no longer has much in common with a Bavarian inn. We were very disappointed this year. The food was just "okay", the selection left a lot to be desired. The ambience also suffered, the staff was rude and seemed overwhelmed here and there. Until now, the Kaiseralm was one of the reasons to go here. Unfortunately, that is now a thing of the past. Luckily there are enough inns in town. Original text: A top restaurant. Beautifully located on the campsite, you can enjoy honest Bavarian cuisine here. Plus the delicious beers from Schnitzlbaumer - a small brewery from Traunstein - that's perfect! Very nice and attentive staff. Everything just fits.

Excellent overnight campsite on the way to Italy, Croatia, etc. But no shop and limited restaurant. Easily accessible, a short distance from the German A8. Acceptable price of Eur 41.95

This contribution applies exclusively to the Kaiser Alm, not to the campsite where the restaurant is located. Here we discovered that after the change of tenant there was a classic case of “things getting worse and better”. We have been using the square as a transit area for years and were happy to be guests at the square this time when the Kaiser Alm was open. We remembered great burgers, sensational schnitzels and really good Kaiserschmarren in combination with an idyllic atmosphere and friendly service in traditional costumes. With this anticipation on Sunday at 4 p.m. right before the opening, unfortunately all seats on the terrace are reserved 100% (you don't do that). We were then given a table in a very unfriendly tone with the words “But they’ll be gone again in an hour!” Well, the child was hungry, I ignored it. We got drinks after 15 minutes, so still somewhat acceptable. After that, no one was interested in us anymore. Although I was given the menu, unfortunately I didn't find any Kaiserschmarren or apple strudel on it. After 35 minutes I asked this “extremely friendly” waitress with the short, bleached hair about it. She shrugged and told me to go somewhere else! So we did and went to Pfeiffenthaler, who made it possible for us to get a table despite being “fully booked”, with the friendly note that the next reservation would be after 2.5 hours and whether that would be ok for us! Top! That's how it works too! Professional service and great food!

Our Kaiser Alm, one of several pearls of our campsite. Since this season it has been in new hands....And you can clearly feel it. Hospitality, service, ambience and the varied menus. You will not only find Bavarian cuisine, but also summer dishes on the menu. The added pasta dishes and fish dishes are particularly delicious! With the Alm's new chef and his great crew, you'll love our Alm even more than ever! It attracts me like a magnet and I really enjoy the atmosphere. Martina

50min waiting time and 37 EUR and then an EXTREMELY CLEAR portion. If you eat there, please do so locally. Twice the number of employees would still be too small. You need to hire more people!

Great restaurant with a great host. We had dinner with our family and it was delicious. Special ambience with an alpine atmosphere. Really special. Restaurant Top therefore 5 ⭐️Service 5 ⭐️ Host 5 ⭐️

We wanted to eat there and waited about 30 minutes because it was very busy. The owner told us we would like to please walk for 20 minutes then we would get a table. No sooner said than done and after 20 minutes we went back to the restaurant. In the meantime, everyone who had arrived after us had a table after the first waiting period. When I complained, they just laughed arrogantly and said that he wasn't interested. We are then 1km in the direction of Bad Feilnbach to the Kistlerwirt. Great location, super nice service and delicious food. We go to the campsite almost twice every year, but we have never been treated like this year at the Kaiseralm. Never again

We stayed at the campsite for an extra 2 days because Monday is a rest day. We wanted to have a relaxed and comfortable Bavarian meal. Unfortunately no chance. This store is totally overwhelmed and hectic. Besides, we don't even have a table for get 2. Although there were still 5 tables free outside and everything inside except for 2 groups was free. Then we decided to go to go and took 2 x currywurst fries for 21.80. The food was tasty but unfortunately the portion wasn't worth the money. We each had 15 fries and a very small sausage. It's a shame that it isn't better organized for such a great campsite.

Unfortunately, chicken schnitzel is pork schnitzel. Ingredients are not shown on the menu. In 2023 under the previous owner I would have given full marks. It's a shame actually. This is expandable.

I haven't experienced anything so unfriendly in a long time! Everything outside was reserved, inside everything was empty. It wasn't possible to make a reservation because the waitress wanted to get off work straight away. People were approached at the counter and there were enough staff outside.

Have visited the Kaiseralm twice. The first time we just wanted to have a drink, the tables inside weren't cleared or wiped down, even though it wasn't very crowded outside. Then we decided to sit down. Were served after a while and that was it. We had to order drinks ourselves at the front of the bar because no one was checking on us anymore. On our second visit we were completely ignored. After about 25 minutes we left again and went to another restaurant to have something to eat and drink. I have to say it was very full in the other restaurant, but we were served as soon as we arrived and had drinks and food at the table after about 25 minutes. It's a shame about the Kaiser Alm, I really remembered it differently, was here two years ago and I thought so she really beautiful. Top camping site... But I can't recommend the Kaiser Alm. In my opinion it's a shame for the camping site.

This has nothing to do with an honest German plate of food…. 16.90 for some fries and two large chicken nuggets.

Were here 2 years ago. We were looking forward to the Kaiser Alm. New operator, service very nice. The food was unfortunately disappointing, the snack level was too high and the prices were too high. Carelessly done. The complete opposite of the operators before. Very unfortunate!!!

Super friendly service and delicious food, worth a visit

In place for 23 years. From 2024 a new crew in the Kaiseralm and its redesign. There has never been food like this here before. Big portion. Price/performance is top. Here we cook freshly with passion and ideas. The dishes are very tasty and absolutely not comparable to the previous one. Changing menu and menu for kids. Great and bright atmosphere. Friendly staff. Thank you very much…. and keep it up… 👍🏻

We have been coming here several times for many years and are super excited this time. The new landlord is a top chef. He can not only conjure up Bavarian dishes but international dishes can also be found on the menu. He even came to us personally to bring the food. The whole team puts their heart and soul into it. Big praise!

Pure enjoyment.. I have a new favorite brewery and a new favorite salad (octopus) I can only recommend it to everyone.. Price/performance ratio is generally top.. the highest respect for the service and the way you deal with stress.. always friendly and on the gas so that everyone is happy..extra wishes are fulfilled. I am completely happy and will 100% come back

We were there at short notice on Wednesday evening and were immediately convinced. Beautiful ambience, competent and incredibly nice staff and very good food, which also comes in large portions. Conclusion: I can recommend it with the best of hearts.

We visited the Kaiseralm today and were thrilled. The food was great, the service was very good and the ambience was simply great. We'd love to come back.

Very nice rustic economy. Unfortunately with bad food and a very unfriendly boss. Schnitzel probably frozen food/pressed meat, burgers not particularly. Bun significantly larger than the meat with a handful of fries. Price performance poor. When the boss cleared the plates and asked if everything was good, and we said no, we were very rudely told off that we didn't have to eat with him. Really not recommended.

Checked in here today after a long drive at the campsite and was looking forward to the meal in the Kaiseralm. The food was lukewarm, the coleslaw didn't come with the roast pork, another one was served upon request and after a long wait. Beer garden is nice but the staff has an “I don’t care” attitude. It's better to eat in the village, to Bad Feilnbach.

Unfortunately, the chicken schnitzel was from the freezer, the fries were not cooked through, and the Jägerschnitzel consisted of the same frozen chicken schnitzel, breaded, with a bit of sticky ready-made sauce. Unfortunately, the excessive prices didn't match the quality at all. The terrace was just as careless as the staff. It's a shame, you could really do something with the Alpine pasture. But for that you need interest.

Very cozy restaurant with a sufficiently large selection on the menu. But things get really good with the daily recommendations. There are 2 to 3 really good and freshly cooked specialists on offer here. Be it salmon, gnocci with truffles or lamb shank, you definitely don't expect these dishes at a campsite and at a fair price. Kind regards to the friendly service team and the chef and his crew.

Beef goulash, the meat was very dry and tough. Bread was "pre-dried" and was handed to us from the neighboring table. A bottle of mineral water was served, which was already half learned. Beers were all glasses below calibration. We definitely won't be coming back.

Low quality restaurant, more of a convenience store, no cooking skills required, small portions, big prices! The pictures of the food come from the old operator and have nothing to do with reality. Asked about it by the staff, the answer was: Do more exercise and then you don't need to eat so much anymore and you laughed stupidly! 2x food, 2x fell for it. The pictures show beef goulash and a dry pizza, horrible Neither hearty music nor Bavarian cuisine, it's a shame, the campsite doesn't deserve such gastronomy. Wir kommen immer gern hierher, wegen des schönen Ambientes, des netten Service und natürlich auch der lokaltypischen Küche. Man kann einen Biergarten nicht an einem Dreisternerestaurant messen. Meinen Erwartungen ist die Kaiser-Alm jedenfalls völlig gerecht geworden, wobei ich die Preise als angemessen empfinde. Schade, dass die Wirtschaft außerhalb der Hauptsaison nur sehr eingeschränkt geöffnet ist. Bei schlechtem oder kühleren Wetter wird es drinnen schon mal sehr eng. Auf einem Campingplatz gelegen, hat es sicherlich viele Gäste, die täglich kommen - für die könnte die Auswahl auf der Speisekarte schon gern ein wenig größer sein. Gleichwohl kann ich die Gastwirtschaft bedenkenlos empfehlen.

Kaos wegen Wetter aber es wurde versucht alles gut zu meistern. Haben auch nur 38 Minuten auf unsere Getränke gewartet. Personal von super freundlich bis überfordert und generft alles da. Essen war gut 👍

Leckerer Schweinebraten und die Kulisse mit den Bergen im Hintergrund ist einfach toll. Wir kommen wieder.

Sehr schöne Hütte, jedoch waren wir leider enttäuscht. Essen kam schneller als die Getränke... hat uns positiv überrascht, jedoch war es geschmacklich nicht so gut und dazu noch lau warm. Würden wir so nicht nochmal machen.

Klasse Essen, freundliches Personal, tolle Live-Musik der "Mooser Musi". Da passt alles. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Nach 8 hintereinander liegenden Tagen essen muss ich sagen, dass das hier nur bedingt zu empfehlen ist. Wechselndes Personal, Qualität und Menge der Speisen nicht gleichbleibend. Bedienungen teilweise überfordert. Geschmack und Verträglichkeit der Speisen war aber gut. Für ein Restaurant auf einem Campingplatz würde ich sagen ausreichend.

Toller Biergarten mit sehr guter Qualität am Essen und Trinken Wir sind sehr nett bedient worden und es ging zügig mit dem Trinken und dem Essen.. Viele Bedienungen die wirklich auf Zack sind Es ist absolut zu empfehlen

Der Kuchen ist wahnsinnig lecker!!😍😍 Update: Hauptspeisen sind leider nicht so der Hit. Alles eher so mittemäßig von der Qualität und dem Geschmack. Vor allem die Suppen sind versalzen & ungenießbar. Fazit: Für‘s Abendessen eher nicht geeignet aber zum Kuchenessen komme ich auf jeden Fall zurück! 😌

Wir waren auf dem Campingplatz für eine Nacht. In der wunderschönen, urigen Alm haben wir ein sehr leckeres Bier und einen Zweigel getrunken. Das Personal war sehr, sehr nett. Zur Verabschiedung hab’s für alle Gäste einen Schnaps‘l. Dankeschön 🤗

Wir sind gerade auf der Durchreise und haben hier nach 11 Stunden Fahrt ein Abendessen genossen. 5 Personen: 2x Schnitzel Wiener Art, 1x Pinsa Magherita, 1x Almburger, 1x Schweinebraten mit Zwiebeln und Bratkartoffeln. Das Essen war super! Die Getränke haben auch gut geschmeckt und der Service war super freundlich! Zum Preis würde ich behaupten: normal! 5 Speisen und 5 grosse Getränke für knapp 100€. Hätten wir Daheim auch gezahlt oder sogar etwas mehr. Vielen Dank und liebe Grüße aus Rees!

Essen lecker, Bedienung freundlich, Preise OK. Und der Sonnenuntergang im Biergarten am Jenbach, unbezahlbar.

Die Qualität des Essens wird der wunderschönen Lokalität nicht ansatzweise gerecht. Sehr schade ist, wenn noch Themenabende abgehalten werden, die Qualität des Essens noch schlechter wird. Der Service ist dann auch nicht mehr gegeben. Leider kommt bei Reklamation die Aussage wir haben zu wenig Personal.🥱 Die Konsequenz war, das wir uns danach andere Restaurants gesucht und mit besserer Qualität auch in naher Umgebung gefunden haben. Die Spätzlepampe was aussieht wie Nudeln in Sahnesauce als Käse-Spätzle zu bezeichnen ist schon sehr grenzwertig, vor allem bei dem Preis.

Leider sind die Schnitzel nicht so der knaller. Aber der Service ist super schnell und mega freundlich
