Our absolute favorite restaurant. Great food, great service and great ambience. We always enjoy coming back. We also booked Kai's Restaurant as catering for our wedding, our guests and we were absolutely thrilled. Great food, delicious drinks and a great team. We felt very well advised and looked after.

Kai and his great team took over the catering at our birthday party with the great food truck. When the outside temperature was minus 6 degrees, you delivered an incredible performance. The New Year's Eve menu 3 days later also blew our socks off. The food, service, friendliness and charm cannot be beat. Thanks so much!!!

The Christmas menu was simply great, everything tasted wonderful! Starter variations, soup, three types of dessert... and a main course whose portion size can be rivaled by many other restaurants. We drove home fed up; Were there today for the first but definitely not the last time. Friendly and good service. Clear recommendation to visit Kai's restaurant.

We were on the terrace which was nice. The restaurant had provided toys for children. Our little ones played with it on the lawn. But the owner didn't like that and he treated the little ones in a completely inappropriate manner. The apology from the waitress (who was very nice) was that the owner doesn't care for children and animals. If so, the owner should state on their website that they prefer to serve adults. Something similar happened to us on our second visit. Everyone deserves a second chance and everyone can have a bad day. Unfortunately not used.

A great place to have a delicious cafe drink, especially the brownie is very tasty!

We always enjoy coming here and have never been disappointed. Even the long journey is worth it. The schnitzel and the cheeseburger are our favorites. But the beef roulade is also very tasty! 5 warm stars to Kai & team!

We were there for lunch with four people on November 30, 2024. It was a completely successful visit to the restaurant. We felt very comfortable in the rooms. The food was served quickly and all guests enjoyed it very much. The highlight, however, was the friendly and consistently competent service, whose humorous manner significantly increased the feel-good factor. I would like to give more than 5 stars for this service! We'd love to come back.

Very nice restaurant located below the castle. The burgers are okay for the price of 16.90 euros. Unfortunately there was no receipt when paying because the cash register couldn't connect to the internet. However, receipts can also be printed offline.

Nice coffee and real tea. We wanted to eat there but they were already closed at 4pm. Opening hours were 11am to 6pm?

We went there specifically yesterday, Tuesday afternoon, and it was closed and deserted without any sign or notice. There was nothing to read on the homepage either.

We ate in Kai's Restaurant yesterday and we can only warmly recommend this restaurant. We were immediately greeted in a friendly manner and shown to our table. The ambience of the restaurant was very appealing. After a short time the cards were brought to us and the drink order was taken. The food was very good. We had the cake stand as a starter. The hammer. Only recommended. When we asked, we were even given some bread. The main course was also great. We had roulade and mushroom schnitzel. I was thrilled that the sauce for the schnitzel was served in a separate bowl and that the schnitzel wasn't drowned. The schnitzel was very good, not dry at all. Dessert, a mousse, was the crowning glory. The service was exemplary. We were constantly asked if everything was okay. When a glass was empty, we were asked if we wanted anything else. All I can say is we will definitely come back.

I ate in the restaurant with friends. The food was OK. But: When paying, the waiter - apparently the owner - who seemed unfriendly and unresponsive, explained that card payment was not possible. Furthermore, when we asked for a receipt, they said the internet was down! That was very strange and obviously unbelievable to us. We will no longer visit or recommend this restaurant!

Although the restaurant was listed as open via Google, it was closed today. It doesn't work at all. We were there on foot and would have liked to stop. We found out at the castle that they were closed today due to too many previous events. You can now see it however you want.

We were invited to a wedding there yesterday and were very satisfied with the friendly, loving and attentive nature of all the staff. Many thanks, especially to Cesar and Ulli, for the very, very nice service. They were always up for fun and responded individually to all small and large requests. But of course a big thank you also goes out to everyone else. We would love to come back! Kind regards, stay as you are!❣️ .......And the midnight pizza was also delicious.... 😉

I can absolutely recommend Mr. Hollenstein’s restaurant. The food, service and ambience are absolutely perfect. The staff is very friendly and if it rains you can also borrow an umbrella for the way to the car. We've been there a few times and will come back more often (despite almost an hour's journey). Keep it up!!!

We spent a very nice evening with friends in front of the historical and fantastic backdrop of Homburg Castle. The spacious outdoor area of ​​the restaurant encouraged us to linger. Everything was rounded off with tasty food and drinks. The hospitality was first class and the price/performance ratio was absolutely right here. We all agreed: "We'll be back" 💯👌🫡

Great location, great seating (inside and outside) and very nice waiters. We eat there often and it's always delicious and nice to go there :) there are also unusual dishes but also very simple ones at a very good price👌🏼 In addition, the home-baked cakes are super delicious. Mass instead of class! With so many wedding parties, you are completely overwhelmed with day guests. This is the result if you don't get fed up and want to take the day guests' money with you. However, the offer and the service unfortunately suffer completely as a result, and hospitality is goodbye. Very unfortunate. A note: A closed society today would have solved the issue charmingly (others like the manufactory also do this). Then the situation is clear and we come back another time. Otherwise great location and nice atmosphere (without multiple wedding parties).

A great highlight was the great champagne reception after our wedding ceremony right at the castle. But coffee, cake and appetizers also left nothing to be desired. There you can make table reservations for appointments from 11 a.m. and will be informed upon arrival that the kitchen will be open from 12 p.m. A corresponding note on the homepage would probably be very appropriate! Or should the guest ideally allow himself to be “filled up” for an hour? I was impressed by the owner's demeanor. I didn't leave a euro there. NEVER AGAIN!

Breakfast buffet from another star!!! Yesterday we had breakfast with 16 people in Kai's Restaurant. As soon as we entered we were electrified by the ambience, the table was sensationally prepared and decorated and cannot actually be described in words. (Pictures) With great attention to detail, the boss had composed the feast into a feast for the eyes. All guests were amazed by the large selection and the delicious, delicious and high-quality food. In addition, there was an attentive, bee-like and quick service that was always present. This restaurant is a must and hotspot for good food. We can recommend it wholeheartedly. Kai's restaurant really impressed us! We were guests for a birthday brunch and it was fantastic. The brunch was on request for a larger party. The innkeeper went out of his way to fulfill our wishes and the food was extremely filling and tasty. Everything was a delight, from the fresh rolls to the freshly prepared ice cream dishes. I would particularly like to highlight the friendly and attentive service, which made our day perfect. We will be back definitely!

Whether it's for coffee and cake outside, a nice meal or a whole family celebration, we always enjoy going here. The owners and employees are super friendly, the food is delicious and the ambience and location are great.

You are always in good hands with Kai. 👍 Kai and his service team are always friendly and courteous. The kitchen offers a suitable dish for every taste and every budget. Unfortunately for us it is no longer “just around the corner” like it was at our previous location in Much. But when we're hiking and taking photos nearby, we like to stop by Kai's and have a good time. 🍽️

Beautiful location below Homburg Castle with cozy indoor seating and a terrace with a view of the castle and nature. The food and drink offering is varied and delicious, from starters to dessert. The service was friendly and attentive, even if some friendly words were not translated into actions.

We ate there for the first time this afternoon. The atmosphere is great and a reservation is definitely worth it. The food actually tasted good, I only found the chicken curry a bit too salty. Otherwise, small, fine restaurant.

A really great restaurant with a beautiful decor. We were welcomed by a nice employee and were able to reserve our table. We chose the Wiener Schnitzel with a side dish and were amazed at the large portion. The food was very tasty and we were satisfied. If we could give 10 stars, we would too! Very nice atmosphere with a view of the castle! Small but good menu + daily table, food very good, portion size very good! We had starters on a cake stand, a nice and varied selection, main courses steaks, herb salad...everything was very, very tasty...all in all more than satisfied! Service (especially Uli)...for the well-known "Oberbergische"...incomparable...very, very nice, very friendly with a Rhenish, refreshing way!! We will be back!!! Thank you very much for the great and fun evening!!!!

It's difficult for me to deduct one star from this, but it's not enough for 5 stars. The ambience is very nice, but somehow the ambience and the food on offer don't really fit together. The ambience suggests a more upscale restaurant, but somehow it isn't. The service staff is also extremely friendly and really personable, but could still be more attentive. There's definitely still some room for improvement, but at the same time it's a nice restaurant. We would have liked to have had a good coffee with our dessert if it had come from a decent portafilter and not from a machine. ;-)

Sie haben einen außergewöhnlich freundlichen Mitarbeiter(Nickelbrille) ist z.zt.leider nicht selbstverständlich.

Eigentlich wollten wir nur an der Glühwein-Wanderung teilnehmen. Spontan konnten wir aber auch noch einen Tisch im Restaurant reservieren. Leider war es an diesem Tag stark am regnen und wir freuten uns im Anschluss auf das Restaurant. Wir haben sehr gut gegessen und hatten einen wunderschönen Abend im Restaurant verbracht. Zu erwähnen wäre die unerwartete Tomatensuppe aus der Küche und eine Auswahl an div.Schnäppchen und Likören nach dem essen! Kai, Sie sind ein sehr guter Gastgeber!! Das Ambiente, die Livemusik und das zuvorkommende Personal….. ! Weiter so und viel Erfolg!!

An diesem besuchten Tag hatten wir bei etwas kühleren Temeraturen draußen gesessen und leider 1 Sunde und 30 min auf unser bestelltes Essen gewartet. Es wäre passend gewesen uns auf die lange Wartezeit hinzuweisen weil wir doch durchgefroren waren. (Keine Sonne mehr nach der langen Wartezeit) Das leckere Essen konnten wir so nicht wirklich genießen. Also, besser vorher mal nachfragen.

Sehr schönes, gemütliches Restaurant, leckeres Essen. Auch mit Kindern sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal dort. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen. Tolles Ambiente. Unser 3jähriger Sohn hat direkt die Spielecke unsicher gemacht. Hut ab, sowas gibt es kaum in anderen Restaurants. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. ☺️

Wir waren am 03.10. nach dem Schloss Besuch vor Ort. Wir sind herzlich Empfangen worden. Jeder Mitarbeiter war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Unser 4jähriger Sohn hat sich sehr wohlgefühlt, da es auch eine Spiel Ecke gibt.Das Ambiente ist toll, das Essen war für uns sehr gut, wirklich zu Empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Von der Terrasse aus hat man einen direkten blich auf Schloss Homburg. Gut zur Einkehr noch nach einer Wanderung von Nümbrecht über Spreitgen, Hexenweier ,Dickensteinen zum Schloss. Preis und Leistungen stimmen und es schmeckt.

Lieber Kai und liebes Team! Jetzt mußte ich 40 Jahre alt werden, um euch kennenzulernen und einen hervorragenden Geburtstag mit meinen Gästen feiern zu dürfen. Bei schönem Ambiente (Dekoration) draußen und innen im Restaurant konnte das Buffet unser Herz nur höher schlagen lassen. Das ganze Team hat uns toll umsorgt und keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Wir waren das erste mal dort und waren sehr angenehm überrascht. Die Wildschweinbratwürste waren hervorragend - dazu Spitzkohl und Bratkartoffeln - einfach lecker!

Sehr schön gelegenes Restaurant am Schloss. Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Essen war ebenfalls lecker und zügig serviert. Lobenswert zu erwähnen ist die Tatsache, dass wenn das Bezahlen mal nicht klappen sollte, aufgrund der Technik und eines fehlenden Portemonnaies, so hat man auch die Möglichkeit auf Rechnung zu zahlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Tolle Neuentdeckung und für uns der netteste und kinderfreundlichste Gastronom im Oberberg! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, trotz hohem Andrang immer ein nettes Wort, sehr gutes Essen und die sehr schöne Spielecke bescherte und mit 3 kleinen Kindern endlich mal ein gemütliches & gechilltes Essen! 😊Vielen Dank, wir kommen wieder.

Sehr schönes, idyllisches Restaurant. Lädt nach einem Spaziergang durch die Wälder zum Verweilen und zum Auftanken ein. Service sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Essen kann ich nicht bewerten, da wir nur was getrunken haben .
