Nice, quaint atmosphere inside. Food selection very inviting - but actually rather weak. Daily special: waffles, with hot cherries, ice cream and cream. The waffle was cold and quite hard, the cherries were ice cold. What a shame! In addition, we waited almost an hour for the two waffles we ordered. The two cappuccinos came straight away, but unfortunately they were only lukewarm. For a cozy coffee drink after a nice walk through Nümbrecht, we will visit a different café next time.

Unfortunately not recommended for vegans. After we asked whether there were vegan pancakes, we noticed that the employees didn't seem to be interested in them. However, we were still offered to make vegan dough, which was very nice. Unfortunately it didn't taste good at all. The pancake was super greasy and the consistency was mushy/greasy. That's really bad, since each pancake had an additional charge of €3.50. I understand that the additional effort costs something, but I find that to be excessive. The sip of soy milk for the coffee was then charged another €1.50 extra. If it had been tasty, I really wouldn't have minded the extra charge, but I just think it's a shame. The pancakes with animal ingredients looked really tasty. The ambience inside is really very nice. It's a shame you couldn't sit outside yet. I hope the vegan option will be improved. Then I would be happy to write a positive review.

Despite the full house, we were able to be accommodated spontaneously, many thanks to the service team! 💜 The ambience is definitely the highlight of our visit. It is furnished with great attention to detail with authentic ancient props and furniture. In general, the entire building is based on this style - old beams and paving (and probably much more) can still be seen. But the food was also very tasty. I have never seen or eaten pancakes like this before. Overall, an absolute recommendation if you are ever in the area! 🤠

Been here again after a long time. On the penultimate visit the pancakes were burnt. Now we wanted to give the restaurant another chance. I thought it was a shame that the staff at the counter spoke loudly about the guests. That's not right. The salad dressing was a bit watery, which I remembered differently from before. My pancake should have mushrooms on it. Unfortunately there was only a single mushroom cut into four thick pieces. This made the pancake a little dry; OK in terms of taste. The fried potatoes were soggy. The rest, especially the meat, was good and the service was otherwise attentive and friendly. The ambience is nice. The prices are reasonable and the menu has something for everyone.

Today we had dinner at the Pfannekuchenhaus with our family (9 people). It was a disaster pretty much from start to finish. One meal was very bad. However, it was redone in the kitchen following a complaint. After that it was ok. It continued with 5 people getting their main course and 4 people getting their starter at the same time. The others' main course only came 30 minutes after everyone else had long since finished eating. After our complaints, we were sometimes ignored by the waitress and they didn't even ask for drinks. Apologies were made several times later, but there was no attention or anything like that. We'll never go there again

That wasn't a good experience: we called around 1 p.m. and ordered our pancakes because we were hungry and the kitchen was supposed to close on time. First frustration: using the voucher book was no longer possible. It doesn't matter whether it's right or wrong, but for us it's not very customer-oriented. My smoked trout pancake wasn't a revelation, but okay. My wife ordered the Bergische with minced meat, mushrooms and onions, and she got one filled with a simple Bolognese sauce. After the negative experience with the voucher booklet, we no longer felt like discussing it. Quickly paid the bill and faced the next hassle. There are no prices on the menu online, but there are at least at the entrance, as required. Unfortunately we had to pay 4 euros more per dish. When asked, they were told that the map was out of date. That's great and in connection with the non-pricing on the Internet you can get the impression of intentional and unfair competition. For us, all the good reviews are a mystery. In any case, the store won't see us again...

You can dine in a rustic atmosphere in the pancake house, but not as a vegan! The house advertises its vegan pancakes brilliantly, but fails to mention that the vegan version costs €3.50 extra, an extra charge that is not justified. In terms of taste, the vegan version is a disaster. Apparently a ready-made mixture is mixed. You can replace the egg in the pancake with a banana and use soy or oat milk! Neither is more expensive than cow's milk and eggs! A pity!

On Saturday (May 18th, 2024) we were with a small group at the Pfannkuchenhaus for the Bergische Kaffeetafel on the occasion of our civil wedding. The food and drinks were very tasty and nicely presented. The ambience (decor) of the restaurant is very rustic and unique, so we immediately felt at home. The only major point of criticism is the service staff. I know it's difficult to find good staff, but: - if you don't get a “congratulations on your wedding” from your lips - if you don't check in the meantime to see whether bread, cold cuts or drinks are running low and can be brought back - if you have to order cold drinks (which are not included with the coffee table) at the counter yourself Then you don't have to be surprised that you don't recommend this restaurant to your friends and acquaintances.

One star deducted for the meal, simply because it didn't fully suit my taste, hearty pancakes for dinner were new to me and are just not 100% my thing. The chef can't do anything about that, the preparation and presentation was really appealing. That's why I would come back if I were to be in Nümbrecht again. Card payment is possible, but it would be nice if the tip could also be added to your account. Unfortunately, we were only able to give a tip that was too small, which we are very sorry about.

We should eat 2 tomato soups that were forgotten parallel to the main course. We rejected it. The fillet tips with mushrooms were tasty, the fried potatoes instead of the hash browns turned out to be black slush that was also burnt. How you do that is a mystery to me. Different tables had been put together for 11 people so that 4 guests sat more or less with their backs to the others. I can't say what the pancakes were like. The waitress still noticed that something was going wrong, but the overall bad impression remains. Even a round of free drinks on the house doesn't help much, but it's worth recognizing. I still feel sorry for the operator because he The shortage of skilled workers will be felt brutally in the next few years and it will not be easy to do anything about it.

I had to return all of my food because it couldn't be offered in a restaurant in terms of taste and craftsmanship. The fact that I let the food go back has only happened twice in my life, this time. The first time was 10 years ago in a steakhouse. The chef agreed with my criticism, apologized to me, I got a new, excellent steak and a free drink. This is how you deal with criticism. Second time here. I should choose a new dish. Okay so far. I also complained about my son's cold, soggy fried potatoes. The potatoes were taken away, after a minute a microwave made a sound and they came back. The waitress also confirmed to me that they were in the microwave and that the boss wanted it that way. When the entire company was ready, I was finally asked about the new order. Since the meal was basically over and the issue with the microwave really annoyed me, I announced this and for these reasons decided not to wait for another dish and then eat alone. But the owner didn't want to accept that and made me pay the full price. All in all, very unfortunate and unpleasant. We probably wouldn't have come back anyway because of the mediocre food, but the rest finally sealed that. This can also ruin a family celebration for someone. Thank you for that.
