Deutsches mexikanisches Essen! Preis-Leistung passt nicht. Nur in der HappyHour interessant wegen den Cocktails. Essen ist gut, aber langweilig, hat nicht wirklich was mit mexikanischem Essen ( Würze) zu tun! Zu dem ist das Essen relativ teuer! Zu fünft bist du schnell mal 180 Euro los - satt aber nicht zufrieden!? Bedienung langsam, aber relativ aufmerksam!

We were here with 7 people and felt very comfortable. Price-performance is right. The dishes feel authentic.

The ambience is quite nice, but the food really doesn't taste anything special. We think it tastes much better in the blue agave. The fajitas with the meat were very tough, the chochzio was rather below average and the whole thing for 30€... the portion was large but I would have preferred more quality and a smaller portion...

For a restaurant there is very little light

Were there for the first time (Tuesday). We enjoyed it very much. The portions were large. We were fed up. Food came quickly. For us it was also well seasoned, but there is also salt and pepper on the table for additional seasoning. We will be back.

Wir wurden gastfreundlich begrüßt und zu einem kleinen Tisch geführt, der ganz in der Nähe anderer ähnlicher kleiner Tische stand. Im Restaurant war es sehr laut, alle schrien laut, wie in einer Schulkantine. Der Kellner war ok. Die von uns bestellten Cocktails waren gut. Aber die Steaks waren schrecklich… sehr trocken und das Fleisch war vom Koch ruiniert. Der Rechnung - 90 Euro und davon waren nur die Cocktails lecker. Der Salat wurde seltsam präsentiert - die Hälfte der Blätter warten nicht geschnitten. Die Süßkartoffelpommes waren etwas verbrannt und schmeckten schrecklich. Wir werden nie mehr hingehen - es ist nicht lecker und sehr ungemütlich

I found the food very good. Vegan dishes are clearly visible on the menu and very varied. Unfortunately the acoustics are very bad and you can hardly have a conversation. Unfortunately, most of the time you can only see the service staff from a distance.

Delicious Mexican food. Good cocktails. Ample portions. Service was nice when it was there, but there was also a lot going on on our evening.

They served us and our children very friendly and helpfully at such a late hour.

Menu is unstructured and classified by zones in Mexico instead of kind of food. But at the end food is more Tex.Mex than mexican. It is ok but could be better. High prices.

Not a bad facility. But: We expected more variety of flavors from the dishes. There was a lack of salt in the meat, spiciness in the pepper sauce and cheese in the cheese sauces. Instead of the sauce in the second picture, the taco only has regular sour cream 👎🏻 There are significant savings on products. Therefore, there is no desire to go back and try again. In addition, the facility has no overall concept at all. There is no music played, lanterns and candles are only on a few tables. There are clearly not enough waiters. They move very quickly, but you can tell they are very tired. I also didn't like the shandy at all, the taste was too sweet and plummy. For a change, you can visit the place with friends, but if you value the atmosphere, this is not the place.

Not even worth trying. Food 1 star. Generally everything that was served was of poor food quality. Salad was old, dried out, no oil, embarrassing dressing. Meat should be Agnus quality, around 80-100g. instead of 200g. served. So-called tortillas were like from the supermarket, not fresh, so cheap with no taste. service 1 star. Nobody came by to ask. When ordering, the lady barely has patience for 15 seconds. Terrible. Hygiene was also relative. Dirty windows, then dirty toilets, only 1 toilet worked. . Queue up to the stairs. It was still a child's birthday, mind. 7-8 children used the runway between the tables. Some of the seats were shunned with shoes on! What is the menager doing here? Or parents? NOTHING! And hardly any interest in it... Actually, I don't like to write such a bad review, but it's just the right thing to do, because owners should ask questions about whether they want to improve something... Other Local Joe Penas in Leonberg wasn't great either, but far better..

This is a very popular place to meet up in Ludwigsburg. Booking is definitely recommended if you're a larger group or visiting at peak evening hours. The atmosphere is loud and lively. Very friendly and accommodating. They even have an a English menu. Service was good, absolutely no complaints Super easy to park with Akademiehof parking just next door. Drink menu was strong with lots of choice for cocktails. Food was OK. I do not think it did justice to the richness of Mexican cuisine and flavour. In summary, go there if you want a fun place to meet up with friends and have some food and drinks. Do not go there if your focus is to get good Mexican food. 4 star rating in my opinion is fair because with the right mindset it's a really good night out.

You rarely read reviews with information about child-friendliness. As a mom, I think that's important, hence my rating for families who are wondering whether you can eat well here with children. We were there with 3 children, 9, 7 and 3 years old. There is also a children's menu (not available online), the tablecloth was made of paper and there were crayons on the table. Where can you paint on the tablecloth? Great idea and of course a good activity for young and old. Should introduce a lot more restaurants. The food was very, very good, delicious starters, great main courses and of course dessert wasn't missing either. All highly recommended. We'd love to come back.

We Mexicans love to make fun of ourselves, but that's a bit too much of a good thing. The menu has little to do with Mexican cuisine and the dishes hardly differ (side dishes always consist of rice, beans and salad in a tortilla basket). A little tip: Culinary diversity thrives in Mexico!

Boss was very nice. Got a very meager portion, had to ask my friend to eat at home so I could be full. Instead of an ear of corn, there was a kernel of corn. Chimichanga for €20 was a kindergarten edition. I expected more. Is there a supplement available upon request? Then I'd love to come back!

Good Mexican. Great service, we were with a group of over 20 and everything worked smoothly.

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Bedienung war außergewöhnlich freundlich und aufmerksam, hat immer wieder gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist (!!!). Die Vorspeise war so groß wie ein Hauptgericht (!), also besser auf mehrere Personen aufteilen, wenn man noch ein Hauptgericht essen will. Alle Speisen haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Hierfür 5 Sterne. Der wirklich einzige erwähnenswerte negative Punkt ist, dass das Restaurant sehr groß und damit extrem laut ist. Man muss sich fast anschreien. Für eine ausgelassene Runde im Mensafeeling sehr gut, für ein romantisches Dinner nicht so geeignet.

The bar team and the food can only be highlighted very positively. We will be back!! Thanks also to the flexible gentleman at the entrance who gave us a place despite the hut being full. We were here on a Saturday evening and although it was very crowded, we got a table within 2 minutes. The food was very good, and so was the service. I recommend booking a table if you’re going to eat there in a weekend.

We arrived without a reservation by chance, but the gentleman at reception still made it possible for us to get a table. The food and the cocktails were all very tasty, the guacamole prepared at the table was delicious.

Everything is pretty good - only the soundproofing inside is not good and at full house it is therefore extremely loud.

The not so good first. The menu is really confusing. And unfortunately the service was not at all prepared for allergies. There was no allergy card, the online version was currently being processed and the information from the waitress was sparse and did not inspire confidence. It's a shame, so points are deducted. So we only tried the starters, but they were good. And huge portions. Overall the ambience is quite nice.

Very good address in the heart of Ludwigsburg. Nice atmosphere, delicious food and nice service. Portions are generous, happy hour 5-8pm for cocktails. We were there with 11 people on a Tuesday from 5 p.m. Parking spaces are available nearby.

Amazing atmosphere, soft music 🎶, and great service. An absolute brilliant concept which I have seen was the crayons 🖍️ and paper which was given at each table to let your imagination shine. Obviously I took the opportunity.

We were thrilled, everything was just right. The staff are great. So friendly and so quick and always helpful. We felt very comfortable. Everything was extremely organized. Also a really nice atmosphere with a bar and beer garden and the food was very tasty.

We had cocktails and ordered the appetizer platter. Both very tasty! There are cocktail happy hours on Mondays. On weekends you definitely have to reserve a table.

Very good Mexican, unfortunately in my opinion the menu has too much text but otherwise a really great restaurant. Have been there several times now and have never been disappointed.

Baked potato was really tasty and good value for money

This has nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with Mexican cuisine! If you ignore this fact, what makes matters worse is that the dishes served are bland, tasteless and carelessly prepared. The quality of the ingredients is below average (the taco tortilla was bottomless). I also understand hospitality differently; I find putting individuals in the middle of a restaurant to be unprofessional and rude. A special request (a lot of coriander), which I even communicated was allowed to be added to the bill, was not taken into account. If you want to fill yourself up, you're definitely in good hands here. Anyone expecting Mexican cuisine will be bitterly disappointed. Definitely not a recommendation.

We ordered a Mexican - to be honest it was so average. After we were allowed to modify it to our liking - plus pepper and tequila instead of vodka - it was outstanding and even cheaper than the original! We'll definitely be back for the Modified Mexican :D

We managed to get a table for a good hour on a Saturday evening without a reservation, thanks to the friendly staff. Thanks to the quick work of the waitresses and kitchen staff, the hour was enough for us to enjoy a really delicious meal. And good cocktails.

The young blonde waiter is an absolute hit! Fully on the ball! He simply reads their wishes from their eyes. Wish it 6 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ then I would give this!!! Thank you for this brilliant evening.

For being a quasi fast food restaurant I found it incredibly expensive. Quality of the food and the cocktail we tried was nothing special. For really good restaurants you would pay the same price with a creative cuisine and local, good quality product.

Bedingungen ein bißchen langsam

Wir waren schon mehrfach im privaten Kreis zum essen hier und waren immer sehr zufrieden. Dann kam der Plan auf unsere Firmen Weihnachtsfeier im Joe Penas auszurichten. Was soll ich sagen, einfach Top. Die Beratung im Vorfeld und die Vorschläge zur Verpflegung sehr gut. Das Essen war hervorragend, alle 40 Personen haben zur selben Zeit gegessen. Der Service war toll, super freundliches Personal. Alles in allem ein wunderschöner gelungener Abend. Danke an das gesamte Team vom Joe Penas Ludwigsburg. Macht so weiter. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Actually I would like to give 5 Stars. BUT It's really expensive and it's really crowded (atmosphere) Food is wild Actually tastes authentic to a certain degree for example the steak gave me Latin Fiesta vibes taste wise. But we had the guacamole show and the guacamole is actually disappointing the women gave up on the lime after she noticed its not ripe and there is no juicy coming from it we asked for extra lime and salted and peppered the hell out of it and it still didn't taste like much the women doing the guacamole also didn't really spread a nice atmosphere. . . Other server is a 15/10 middle-aged men Would come again tho

Guter Mittagstisch, Bestellung war schnell da, wahrscheinlich weil zur Mittagszeit die Gerichte einfach vorbereitet bereit standen und nur rausgebracht werden mussten. Die Käsespätzle waren sind gut und preislich voll in Ordnung. Bei anderen al Tisch war das Essen wohl teilweise kalt.

Super aufmerksamer Service trotz des rappelvollen Lokals, charmant und gut gelaunt. Überaus großzügige Portionen absolut phantastischen Essens, geniale Cocktails, Mocktails und Drinks... Definitiv ein Restaurant, das in unsere "Speisekarte" aufgenommen wird!

Sehr, sehr gut besucht, also voll! Unart vieler Gäste: Garderobe hängt über den Sitzen, macht den Eindruck, als würde man gleich wieder gehen wollen. Das wirkt ungemütlich!

Das Essen war gut und reichlich. Preis/Leistung war in Ordnung. Der Service ist schlecht organisiert. Das jeder seinen Tisch hat ist in Ordnung aber egal welchen Mitarbeiter wir angesprochen haben meinte nur wir sollen warten bis die Kollegin kommt. Man kann doch wenigstens der Kollegin Bescheid geben. Nur eine Person pro Bereich finde ich auch schwierig.

I have been there just for Cocktails and Max is the best barman I've seen in my life. He is not only a great showman and artist, but also makes amazing cocktails!!! They're perfectly balance. Will go back next week for more flaming vanilla 🍸

Wir waren am Samstag spontan abends zum Essen dort. Es sah schon von weitem total einladend aus und obwohl wir nicht reserviert hatten, versuchten wir unser Glück 🙃. Der Chef teilte uns mit, dass leider außen nichts mehr frei sei und auf die Frage, ob wir drinnen sitzen könnten, wurde dies bejaht, allerdings mit dem Hinweis daß es bis zu 45 min dauern kann, bis wir was zu Essen bekommen. Das war uns egal, trinken wir halt einen Cocktail 🍸 mehr😎🤣. Der Innenbereich war jedoch gar nicht drinnen, sondern schön unterm Dach aber doch im Freien, einfach super!!! Wir bestellten unsere 🍸 und das Essen und staunten echt nicht schlecht, als der Cocktail kam und kurz darauf sogar das Essen 😃😃 von wegen 45 Minuten 🙃. Das Essen war sowas von lecker 😍😍😍, die Cocktails, alkoholfrei, ebenfalls 🥰 Der Service super auf Zack und sehr freundlich 😊. Fazit: Wir kommen definitiv wieder!!! Die Portionen sind üppig, man wird auf jeden Fall satt😉 Vielen lieben Dank nochmal an das Team.

Das Essen ist ganz ok und schmeckt nicht schlecht, wer aber authentisch mexikanisch essen will ist hier aber ganz falsch. Die Gerichte werden nicht traditionell zubereitet, sondern sind eher „eingedeutscht“. Vor allem an Gewürzen wird leider gespart. Der mexikanische Reis, der mit einem authentischen Reis nichts zu tun hat, war auch leider zu trocken. Zudem ist das Essen ganz klar überteuert für die Portion die man bekommt. Der Service war aber gut und die Bedienungen sehr freundlich. Auch das Ambiente war schön, wer also gerne Cocktails trinken möchte und kleine Snacks, wie Nachos, essen möchte macht hier grundsätzlich nichts falsch.

Homophober, sexistischer Mitarbeiter (relativ junger, blonder Mann), spricht Gäst*innen auf ihre Jungfräulichkeit an, äußert sich extrem Homophob, aka "Lesben brauchen nur mal einen richtigen Kerl....". So ein Mitarbeiter ist absolut nicht tragbar. Werden den Laden nie wieder besuchen!!!

Der Service war miserabel. Der Kellner (junger blonder Typ) war nicht gerade freundlich und wir bekamen als Studentengruppe übergriffige und sexistische Kommentare entgegen geworfen. Nach der Unterhaltung mit dem Kellner bekam man das Gefühl er möchte die nicht-heterosexuellen "bekehren" und versuchte mir klar zu machen, dass ich nur auf Frauen stehe, weil ich noch nie einen "richtigen Kerl" im Bett hatte. Zu guter letzt wollte er noch meine Handynummer. Egal wie gut das Essen ist, ich empfinde bei diesem Lokal nur ekel und hatte keinen guten Abend. Definitiv nicht zu empfehlen!!!

Das Essen war sensationell lecker. Leider war es absolut zu laut, zu eng aufeinander gesessen, wir mussten uns anschreien. Deshalb werden wir hier nicht mehr herkommen. Leider keine Unterhaltung möglich. Evtl. im Sommer auf der Terrasse.

Wir haben zwei Cocktails bestellt gehabt. Einmal den 5 fruits und einen Sex in the Beach und leider haben diese nur sauer geschmeckt. Zum Essen muss man leider sagen, dass es uns auch nicht überzeugt hat. Die Sauce von einen Gericht hat eigentlich nur nach Rotwein geschmeckt und war sehr dominant, so dass die Enchiladas fast keinen Eigengeschmack hatten. Jedoch muss ich auch gestehen, dass ich nicht weiß, ob die Sauce so schmecken sollte. Leider hat sie unseren Geschmack nicht getroffen. Auch das andere Gericht konnte nicht wirklich überzeugen. Die Vorspeise war lecker. Vielleicht wäre es jedoch geschickter diese nicht auf einer Serviette anzurichten, da diese überflüssig ist und auch das schneiden mit dem Messer erschwert. Die Portionen waren sehr groß. Man wird aufjedenfall satt. Die Location an sich ist sehr schön. Auf jedem Tisch standen Kerzen und die Location macht einen gepflegten Eindruck. Jedoch haben wir zwei Sterne abgezogen, da man sich eigentlich nicht unterhalten konnte, da es sehr laut war. Der Mann am Empfang hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen. Der Service am Tisch war ok. Zusammenfassend kann man sagen, dass wir wahrscheinlich nicht wieder hingehen werden, da das Essen uns nicht überzeugen konnte, es sehr laut war und recht teuer für die Leistung.
