We like going there. Friendly, fast service, even when there are larger crowds.

As a larger team, we ate at Joe Peñas. Each employee had €60 available from the employer. As a starter there were 4 dips with tortillas The cocktails were good. A colleague had a fajita de verdura & I had a burrito de verduras.

Really very tasty, guacamole was prepared in front of us and the crema catalana was "flambéed"/caramelized at the table with the burner...almost "show cooking", something different 😀. Afterwards we went to the dream palace, which is right next door - a lovely afternoon, thank you! Highly recommended!

Very good everything from the food to the cocktails to the service. Were there for the first time because there was no more space in Esslingen and will definitely come back more often

Nice atmosphere - very attractively designed. Unfortunately a bit noisy when the restaurant is busy. On weekends it is advisable to make a reservation. Very attentive & friendly service staff. Food very tasty! Good selection of vegetarian dishes, some dishes are even vegan possible. I ordered enchiladas filled with spinach and caramelized sweet potatoes. It was very tasty, but unfortunately the portion was a bit manageable - four small enchiladas were enough but there was exactly half a small sweet potato on the plate - that could have been a few more - salad bouquet was sufficient. Unfortunately I had to order a dessert because I just wasn't full yet - I'm usually easily full after a main course, and I usually can't even finish it. Then I had enchiladas filled with peanuts and chocolate with vanilla ice cream. That was awesome! Great selection of cocktails, something for everyone - even non-alcoholic.

Four of us were there recently and had dinner and cocktails at happy hour. The food was ok, the service was very nice but not particularly attentive, The cocktails, however, were a disgrace!!! These basically only consisted of ice, and alcohol was only contained in microscopic quantities, if at all. Even the Aperol Spritz was more transparent than anything else. That doesn't work at all!!!

Unfortunately the food is no longer as good as it once was. It tastes kind of bland. I had chimichanga and there was no flavor other than frying fat. Too bad. We've been here several times over the last 10 years and we've always been impressed

I know it's hard to find good Mexican/tex-mex/Latin food in Germany. The restaurant is nice low light In the evening, and the music was Salsa which I loved. The food, however, was underwhelming for me, and it was expensive for what you get. I spent 72€ on 2 drinks that were on special two meals and a cola and appetizer...the drinks were great! Really enjoyed the drinks 😂. Maybe that price is average right now, as I don't go out to eat often anymore, but there was nothing that really wowed me other than the service and drinks. The guys working were great and friendly, and I enjoyed enough. I would go back for drinks, but probably not food. Food wasn't bad tasty just not wow...

As a connoisseur of South American cuisine, the food is fine and delicious. The service is friendly and attentive! The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, but is also very popular and can get very busy, which is why reservations are important. You can park for a fee. The food came suspiciously quickly, but the restaurant was clearly full.

Really friendly and hard-working service staff, unfortunately the kitchen is rather mixed and continues to decline. The prices are therefore not appropriate. We probably won't come back.

Trash food. Trash service They forgot to bring us the food, tortila was old, food is tasteless ( no seasoning ) Drinks are great, 5* We asked to pay but the waiter forgot to bring us the bill. Too much time wasted here. You can avoid, it ruined my mexican experience.

Food is delicious. Friendly staff everything was best. Are long-time regular customers. Now the quantity of lettuce has been adjusted to the price again. Before there was little salad for the price. Therefore 1 star more. Are satisfied now.

Very tasty food and a large selection of cocktails in a cozy atmosphere. We love coming here!

The food was okay and the presentation of the dishes was good. However, the prices are rather high compared to the performance offered. The restaurant offers Mexican cuisine that is solid but not outstanding. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is friendly and attentive. Overall, an acceptable experience, but the high prices may deter some guests. If you like Mexican cuisine and are willing to pay a little more, it might be worth a visit.

And despite happy hour, the full price was charged for cocktails. However, the price was corrected when we put it on the invoice. It still shouldn't and shouldn't happen. Despite the faux pas, the store can be recommended. The food is absolutely good and cocktails are also delicious.

Always been very tasty so far! Unfortunately, a big weakness is the service of the waiters. Very bad and inattentive. Everything takes forever. 15 minutes until you get the card. Then no one comes to order anymore, etc. You sit in front of empty plates for 30 minutes after eating. The waiter shows up at the next table and runs back empty-handed instead of clearing our table... There are just waiters who don't feel like it. A pity.

Large selection of Mexican dishes, which we really enjoyed.

There were 6 of us and we made a reservation. The food and drinks were very tasty. We ate, among other things, alas de pollo and nachos baked with cheese, both of which were very tasty. But there were also vegan alternatives and salads. The drinks were slightly reduced because it was happy hour. They were very tasty. The non-alcoholic cocktail Fresh Garden and the homemade lemonade were highly recommended. For those who want a local drink, there is also Hefeweizen. There was no one on site, but judging by the posters, one or two DJs occasionally played.

Got a high table because everything was reversed. After 3 hours (in the restaurant) half of the tables were still unoccupied. Are you punished for spontaneously visiting you?

The starters are relatively large, so you have to keep that in mind when ordering ;) Not only was the food delicious, but so were the drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We were there relatively early so there was still space, but it fills up quickly, so a reservation makes sense. Definitely a recommendation

Nice restaurant with good service and delicious food. The lemonades are highly recommended. But you should bring a little time with you as it can sometimes take a little longer.

An absolute exception was even made for us so that we could get a dish that was actually no longer on the menu. In terms of space, it's a bit tighter and the tables are also small. Had something to eat before the cinema. Location was beautifully done Service was also okay So if you like fries in a basket this is the place to be. I didn't like the warps with chicken. A plate with different ingredients to serve yourself. I think the quality is really bad for the price. Of course everyone has to save money, but if you offer something for the price, I expect something decent. I wouldn't go there again to eat, but you can just sit together and have a drink :)

Great location to eat cocktails and Mexican food. Happy hours are every day between 5pm and 8pm. Cocktails have a good mixing gas ratio.. delicious 😜. Cinema right in the building 👍

I recently visited Joe Peña's in Leonberg to spend a cozy evening with friends. The decision to choose this location for our meeting turned out to be excellent. One of the standout features was the excellent service. The staff was characterized by friendliness and attentiveness, which made the stay even more pleasant. The culinary experience also left nothing to be desired. The food was excellent, which put a smile on all of our faces. Although the noise level in the restaurant was a bit high, it didn't dampen the positive mood. In fact, the lively atmosphere helped make our evening lively and fun. Joe Peña's in Leonberg is definitely a place I can highly recommend for meeting friends. It offers the perfect combination of delicious food, friendly service and a lively atmosphere, which together guarantee an unforgettable time.

One of our favorite places to go for a relaxed meal with a great variety of cocktails. There are cheaper places to go, but for a nice evening out, it's worth it!

Service was rather slow and avoided eye contact. Food was overloaded with salad. In particular with huge lattuce leaves which make the plate just look big. Food was therefore rather unsatisfying in total and very expensive for what you get: two people with two main dishes, one salad and two cocktails resulted in about 100€. I would have liked to see a receipt with an overview, but nothing was provided. Cannot recommend it at all.

Service was friendly, but the food was of very poor quality. By the time you got to vanilla ice cream, you realized that you couldn't have bought the product cheaper. We have always had good experiences at Joe Peñas Ludwigsburg.

Service friendly, relatively quick. However, the food was bad, the fried tortilla tasted like old fat, not properly seasoned, and the salad was of the lowest pub quality. The other guests at the table were also dissatisfied. Not again so soon. PS: It couldn't have been because the kitchen was overloaded, we were the only guests at the time.

The food is very tasty, but sometimes expensive. The ambience itself is great, but when it's full the acoustics are very loud... But I still enjoy going there...

We've been eating there ever since it opened and usually combine it with a trip to the cinema. The food tastes good (4-5 stars) and the service (5 stars) is good. Yesterday we went there for the first time this year and it almost blew us away. Our favorite meal used to cost €28.80 and now costs €38.60. That's over 30 percent more than in 2023. Ok, everything will be more expensive and the VAT will be 19% again instead of 7%, but that's really outrageous! The operator should consider whether he would rather have a customer who comes 5-6 times a year or not at all.

Super tasty and fresh food. The steak was cooked exactly as ordered. The guacamole was freshly prepared at the table. The drinks were very tasty and very well mixed. We would love to come back soon :)

Unimaginative and boring cuisine. Price and performance not in harmony. Leonberg has much more to offer from a culinary perspective. It's a shame, but it's just a chain, you can tell.

Wir waren seit Eröffnung des Traumpalasts schon öfter vor dem Kino im Joe Pena's - die Lage ist perfekt! Das Lokal ist eng bestuhlt und zu den üblichen Kinozeiten meist voll, was zu einer hohen Geräuschkulisse führt. Wir warteten nach Platzzuweisung gut 10 Minuten und bekamen erst auf Nachfrage einen Kellner zugewiesen. Danach ging der Service aber flott. Leider mussten wir feststellen, dass hier in letzter Zeit offensichtlich eine "Gewinnoptimierung" stattgefunden hat. Die Speisekarte hat nun 2 Seiten weniger als früher, es gibt z.B. nicht mehr das leckere Fischgericht. Bei der Guacamole gibt es zum stolzen Preis mehr Nachos, aber weniger Guacamole. Der Pisco Sour kommt ohne Eiweiß (aber zum vollen Preis); auf Nachfrage erfährt man vom Kellner, dass im Lokal keine Eier mehr eingesetzt würden. Wieso man Pisco Sour anbietet, wenn es tatsächlich keine Eier gibt, bleibt uns ein Rätsel.

Die Getränke sind (wie in jedem Joe penas) sehr gut, der Service hätte aber bei einem sehr leeren Lokal schneller sein können

Für einen gemütlichen Abend bevor man ins Kino geht, absolut empfehlenswert. Der Service super.Man wird freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient. Getränke und Essen waren gut. Wer nichts besonderes will, ist gut aufgehoben. Es fehlt aber am ganzen Essen die Würze. Die Guacamole hat kaum Würze. Das ganze Essen ist leider für einen Mexicaner ohne Pfiff, Würze. Obwohl Mexico für gewürztes Essen bekannt ist. Trotz allem gemütlich. Die Tische und Stühle sind etwas niedrig. Eher für kleine Leute. Aber trotzdem 4Sterne, weil es gemütlich war, das Personal super war und das Essen gut ist.

Wir haben problemlos online reserviert und haben unseren Platz pünktlich bekommen. Insgesamt fanden wir ein, auf den ersten Blick ordentliches und sauberes Restaurant vor. Die Sevicekräfte gaben ihr Bestes und waren freundlich. Das Essen hat auch unseren Erwartungen entsprochen. Leider entspricht die Einrichtung eher einer Cocktailbar als einem Speiserestaurant. Die Tische sind für die angebotenen Speisen viel zu klein. Zum Teil mussten Teller auf Barhockern abgestellt werden weil auf dem Tisch kein Platz war. Außerdem lässt die Sitzposition in den Korbsesseln ein gemütliches Essen leider nicht zu. Da wir einerseits mit dem Essen und dem Personal sehr zufrieden waren, andererseits die Essensaufnahme selbst eher unzumutbar war, werden wir uns sehr genau überlegen, ob wir uns das nochmal antun werden. Eigentlich schade.

Hellou, ich würde eurem Barkeeper mal ne Schulung geben & er soll seine Cocktails probieren bevor er sie hinausschickt. Weil 3 Zutaten in ein Getränk packen is echt nicht schwierig. Normalen Cocktail bestellt - bekommen habe ich einen Frozen den man kaum trinken oder soll ich besser sagen löffeln hätte können. Ich komm halt nicht mehr -warum auch!? 10meter weiter is ne gute bar mit netten Leuten und guten Getränken. Sorry, aber diese erste Erfahrung hat mir gereicht. Dann sich auch noch ärgern wenns nur 20cent Trinkgeld gibt haha verrückt. Bin selber in der Gastro und habe ein gutes auge dafür.

Ich war durchaus zufrieden mit dem Rundumpaket, Services, Freundlichkeit, Aufmerksamkeit Personal. Einen Kritikpunkt muss ich dennoch loswerden. Ich bestellte ein Premium Steak Gentlemans Cut in medium. Als ich das Steak in der Mitte geteilt habe, war es leider fast durch und hat trocken geschmeckt. Man sollte ein Produkt, dass man Premium nennt, dann auch nicht so verhauen und ich könnte mir gut vorstellen dass ein 300g Stück bei der Preisgestaltung mit durchaus eins bis eineinhalb Minuten weniger Hitze bei mir besser angekommen wäre. Menge war perfekt, ich war Papp Satt.

2 Mal dort gewesen. Beim ersten Mal ein Stück Plastik im Getränk entdeckt. Beim 2. Mal war ein Stück Plastik im Reis. Die Bedienung war super freundlich und hat das Essen sofort mitgenommen. Einen Kaffee bzw. Espresso gab es dann aufs Haus. Trotzdem hinterlässt das einen gewissen Nachgeschmack. Schade eigendlich...

Mexikanische Küche, die nicht mit überbackenem Käse etc. überladen, sondern qualitativ hochwertig und lecker ist. Etwas ( zu) hohes Preisniveau. Kurz vor Filmbeginn wird’s natürlich hektisch im Lokal….

Leckeres Essen, tolles Personal, schönes Ambiente

Alles super, aber nichts für den kleinen Geldbeutel... Portionen okay, könnte aber auch bisschen üppiger sein! Personal ist nett und hilfsbereit.

Essen lecker, Bedienung super nett, leckere cocktails.... wünsche mir ab und zu beim essen mehr pepp/Raffinesse. Aber für ne "Kette" durchweg gute Qualität. Tolle Lage, direkt im Kinokomplex.

Gestern Abend habe ich meinen Geburtstag hier gefeiert. Der junge Mann, der uns bedient hat, war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, ein extra Lob an ihn. Das Essen und die Cocktails waren vorzüglich und das Restaurant hat mir zum Geburtstag ein extra Cocktail spendiert, das hat mich sehr gefreut. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Es nervt, wenn der Kellner wie ein Presser ständig am Tisch steht, sonst war alles super

Habe mir das 300 gramm Striploin Steak Bestellt und es war das Beste Steak was ich seit langem gegessen habe.

Fleisch war nicht ganz durch. Der Laden ist eher was zum trinken gehen, anstatt was zu essen. Bedienung is freundlich.

Lecker Essen und leckere Cocktails. Bedienung war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Mehr braucht man nicht.

Ziemlich laut unorganisiert essen war okay

Wir waren gestern im Joe Pena's. Wir haben folgendes Gegessen: ENCHILADAS DE POLLO und BURRITO DE CARNE Mein Fazit: Das Essen ist solider Durchschnitt. Bei beiden Menues schmeckte die Salatsosse wie ein Fertigdressing. Der mexikanische Reis (Enchiladas) war bestenfalls lauwarm und die in der Füllung enthaltene Hähnchenbrust war eine einzige Pampe. Preis / Leitung definitiv nicht OK. Das Burrito de Carne war deutlich besser. Die Füllung war angemessen würzig und die Konsistenz war gut. Der Mais war ebenfalls gut. Nur das Salatdressing war hier ebenfalls schwach! In Summe habe ich bei anderen Mexicanern für weniger Geld schon spürbar besser gegessen. Bemerkenswert positiv war der Service. Ich habe dem jungen Mann unsere Sicht ruhig erklärt. Er war wirklich geknickt und bemüht einen Ausgleich zu finden. Auch zuvor war er sehr aufmerksam ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Dafür ein klares Lob! Das Ambiente empfinde ich als schön, allerdings wird es schon relativ laut, da recht eng bestuhlt ist. Über die anderen Speisen und die Cocktails kann ich natürlich nichts sagen, da wir sie nicht probiert haben.

Awesome place to go get some Mexican style food especially right before going to see a film! We had great service from all the waitresses as well! Most spoke perfect English which made it very easy! Also the drinks were made perfectly!

Had excellent service for my takeout order tonight. Was immediately helped by someone when I neared the bar, and the server who handled my order was there very quickly. Even a manager stopped by to make sure I'd been helped. The food was excellent, as always, and the service was excellent - everyone was competent, friendly, and made sure my pickup went smoothly. And, on arrival home, the food was as delicious as always. It was the first time we tried taquitos, but we will definitely order them again.

Mittelgroßes Restaurant mit Tex-Mex Küche. Essen war lecker (Burrito und Fajitas de carne), aber halt Tex-Mex und nicht unbedingt Mexikanisch. Fängt beim Weizentortillas an, geht weiter über die Guacamole 🥑(die am Tisch zubereitet wird) ,bis zum Bohnenmus... freundlicher , zügiger Service. Preislich liegen die Gerichte so bei ca. 20 pro Person. Parken leider schwierig, am besten im Parkhaus nebenan. Wenn das hilfreich war, freue ich mich über den Daumen hoch. Danke.

Amazing staff and the food was also great. I asked for a drink not on the menu a “Hurricane” they went online looked at how to make one and came back with a dame fabulous drink. Parking was great; the atmosphere was great and going back there next week.

Wir wurden zum Tisch begleitet und dann vergessen nach Nachfrage haben wir erst mal eine Karte bekommen. Nach dann ca 20 min haben wir dann was zu trinken bekommen. Unsere Vorspeise hat dann auch noch mal 40 Minuten gebraucht also haben wir 1 h hungrig gewartet mach dann nochmal 30 min haben wir dann endlich unser Hauptgang bekommen der auch wirklich nicht gut war und wir so gut wie alles stehen lassen haben dann mach 5 mal nachfragen ob ich zahlen kann ist keiner gekommen und ich bin vor an die Theke und hab gefragt ob ich jetzt endlich mal zahlen kann dann wurde mir gesgT oh sorry habe ich vergessen. Ales in alle 60€ losgeworden hungrig rein und wieder raus und 2 1/2 Stunden mit warten verbracht
