I also took advantage of the double cheeseburger offer, as it seemed very good value when I arrived at the main station from a trip. The burger is small, but worth the price. Unfortunately, the patties were a bit undercooked. And the fries weren't cooked all the way through either, having been tossed in hot oil for too short a time. So, instead of crispy, they were warm potatoes that tasted of oil. Considering the fact that it wasn't busy, it's a shame, but of course I know that's not a fundamental problem. Otherwise, I have to say, it's a cool place, and I enjoy coming here every now and then.

Great burgers! Friendly staff, very clean shop, fresh ingredients, and the fries are amazing! The price is absolutely reasonable considering the freshness and taste. Only MCD is "cheap" in comparison, but that makes all the difference. It's not fast food; all dishes are freshly prepared to order, so it takes a little longer if you're with a few people. There were seven of us, and the preparation time was reasonable. If we come across this shop again, we'd definitely go back. Everyone was more than satisfied.

I like Jim Block's Champion Burger and Cheeseburger; they're the classics at Jim Block. The service is always good; the Jim Block team always checks to see if they have a potato for me instead of fries. It would be great if Jim Block added the Kimchi Burger to the regular menu; unfortunately, it was only available for a few months. I actually like the Kimchi Burger better than the Champion Burger or Cheeseburger. All tourists visiting Hamburg should stop by Jim Block.

Oh, this Jim Block is my favorite in Hamburg, at least of all the ones I've visited. The burgers are the tastiest, not dry, the schnitzel is fresh, the sauce is just right. In short, delicious. Yes, the wait is a bit long, but it's worth it. I expected worse, considering it's right next to the train station.

The restaurant is truly inviting and beautifully decorated, and you feel very comfortable. The prices are also fair. The fries were delicious and crispy. Unfortunately, I discovered that the meat patty was barely cooked, which was neither declared nor indicated, and it didn't taste good. A real shame.

Wir haben gute Erfahrungen bei Jim Block in Altona gemacht. Heute wollten wir einmal den Jim Block gleich bei uns um die Ecke ausprobieren,um einen leckeren Cheeseburger zu essen. Upppps, das war eine schlechte Idee!!!! Kurz nach unserer Bestellungen, war der Burger schon gleich auf dem Tablett und zur Abholung bereit. Leider war der Käse nicht geschmolzen und der Burger kalt. Wir haben ihn zurückgebracht. In zweiter Runde kam er lediglich wieder lauwarm an unseren Tisch. Sorry, für den Preis ein absolutes Nogo. Apropos, keine Eiswürfel für unsere Cola. Der Service war schnell und freundlich und bekommt damit unseren einzigen Stern.

We ate at Jim Block yesterday, May 24, 2025, at around 6:30 p.m. The man at the cashier who took our order was incredibly friendly and even gave my little daughter some soap bubbles. The food was delicious. I would come again.

I can recommend this Jim Block for quick hunger. I was particularly impressed by the “Philli Cheese Steak”.

The burger (cheeseburger) is excellent and the fries are great, but it was very crowded there at lunchtime. You then wait standing for your food, which is somehow poorly thought out. It's just a fast food restaurant.

Since the “mother ship” Block House is not barrier-free, I was basically forced to eat here, and I’m not a big fan of burgers per se. Nevertheless, I have to say that my first JB Burger was really ok, so ok that I'm almost tempted to come back to try other things on the menu. And please understand this as the highest possible praise. I'll leave out the service and ambience. I would say: appropriate to the concept. What's funny is that individual orders are labeled with Hamburg street names, such as Kennedybrücke. You have to know this because the order is called out using this identifier. For new customers it seems a bit strange when Hamburg fixed points are announced at random. As I said, everything is good so far... But people... The fries...the fries...call them whatever you want... You have to do something about that. What is that supposed to be? Particularly innovative or creative? No! What you do well with the burger, you mess up with the fries and that in turn makes the total price for a menu like this... well

Jim Block feels like he's getting worse every time. Overpriced for poor quality. The tomatoes and the remaining vegetables on the burger are not fresh and are rather mushy and tasteless. The fries on the side were undercooked and tasted like mashed potatoes. It's a shame, it used to be better.

Portions are sufficient and tasty. You can tell there is love behind it. The prices are OK. The shop combines fast food with home-made dishes, creating an extraordinary experience! Everyone should try it...

For €13.90 you get a tiny sandwich that's at most the size of half a sub - with a few measly strips of meat. For comparison: the kebab around the corner costs €8, is twice as big and is worlds more filling. In terms of taste? For the price I would have expected at least something special, but unfortunately that was nothing. Definitely not good value for money. I can't recommend it.

This is a delicious hamburger restaurant. There was a kimchi burger, but I chose the best cheeseburger, fries, and zero cola combo. The person taking my order was friendly, and the ketchup mayo was paid.. I only purchased the ketchup.. The bathroom was nice, and like the review below, I was the only Asian person, and the place was full.

For me the cheeseburger deserves 6*****. We were back in Hamburg after a few years and it still tastes really delicious. The staff was super nice and prepared our food quickly. If we come to Hamburg again, we'll be happy to come back. I thought the own mayonnaise bags were great.

In my opinion, the quality in the Jim Block branches is always consistently good. I myself am a fan of the JB Mini Cheeseburgers for €4.40. In terms of taste, it's a completely different world compared to the American fast food chains. The staff was also quite friendly, the burgers were prepared relatively quickly, so everything was perfect.

Been to JB's for 5 years and the food wasn't good. 15€ for a menu of cold fries, small drink and average burger. That's a 50% price increase for inferior quality. To rip off tourists, great store.

Were there after Ohnsorg and were disappointed. Burger for the price mini. Fries not crispy and 5 degrees warmer than ice cream. Then we'd rather go to BK or MD.

I didn't find the gold in the mayo for €0.80, which has to be ordered separately from the menu. The burger is quite salty (JB Caesar M). A cucumber salad has not been included for free for a long time. When ordering at the counter, you should keep a close eye on the menu prices, otherwise you might end up paying more. Sorry for my bad review but I'm really disappointed with the store today. I've been visiting Jim Block since it was still called Jimmie's Hamburger in Barmbek and have always been impressed by the quality. But not today... The mini cheese was soggy and dripping with fat, the fries were inedible and only tasted like frying fat. So we left the fries behind. Too bad.

A temporary VAT reduction to compensate for the Corona measures has simply expired and the VAT rate has been reset to the old value. However, the reduced VAT rate would still apply to take-out orders. However, when I look at their online ordering options, I pay the same price despite the lower VAT rate. I have nothing against a mixed calculation, but I would also ask you to make any references to a “VAT increase”.

It was wonderfully beautiful there. The service is just awesome. The children received coloring books with colored pencils and were really happy. The food was very tasty and everything was freshly prepared. I will definitely eat there again

Its fried potatoes and original hamburger are incredibly good! Other products are not bad. It was very nice that the service was on a plate. The truffle sauce was quite plentiful. It was worth their money. You also have the chance to choose a potato such as baked potato.

Not your run-of-the-mill burger Absolutely no comparison to the standard burgers that you get in the usual fast food shops. Our burgers only came after we ordered, sorry it took a while as we weren't familiar with the menu. After the order was clear and paid for, we received a receipt that said “Magdeburger Hafen”, strange we are on Kirchenallee in Hamburg. The completion of our menus was announced with the exclamation “Magdeburg ports”. What followed is hard to describe. Our citizens were super fresh, the patties were very juicy, the extras and side dishes were prepared to perfection! You don't necessarily need mayo with the fries. All in all, a visit that needs to be repeated. Small drawback, the colleague who took the order should work on the facial expressions. The customers would be happy.

The burger was good but the organization of the service was not optimal. The staff have to shout for your order. It's a shame there wasn't an option for meat cooking. It cost around 40 euros.

Update: Unfortunately it has become very expensive and the portions are getting smaller and smaller. There's no more coleslaw either, which is a shame

Worst Jim Block I've been to. I eat at Jim Block very often and this is the only place where I am 0% satisfied. In the case of the Champion Burger, the champions are not cooked through at all and are almost raw, the cheese is not melted at all and the salad has far too little sauce. Every Jim Block tastes perfect, but here I am very dissatisfied. And this isn't the first time.

Joah, ich sage mal so ... kurz zusammengefasst: ich war latent gesättigt. Wir haben als Familie dort mittags gegessen - Jim Block (Filiale Hamburg - Kirchenallee 37). Das Personal ist freundlich und bemüht. Der Thekenbereich sieht sauber und aufgeräumt aus. Ich hatte den Philly Cheesesteak (mit Pommes, Ketchup, Cola 20,- Euro), Geschmack gut, allerdings war er nicht ANNÄHERND so prall gefüllt, wie auf dem Produktfoto abgebildet und damit viel zu teuer, der Gurken"salat" (ein Schälchen mit 5 Gurkenscheiben) wurde vergessen. Mayonnaise und Ketchup sind lecker, das muss man sagen. Meine Kinder hatten das JB Kinder Menü inkl. Pommes und Softdrink für 8,50 Euro ... ok, liebloser XXXS-Burger - das geht besser. Das war's aber dann auch - Unterschied zum großen, gelben M besteht nur (deutlich) im Preis. Das war'n Satz mit X, das war nix - und das für knapp 50,- Euro, da kann ich bei der Fast Food Konkurrenz fast 3 Mal von Essen.

The counter area looks clean and tidy. I had the Philly cheesesteak (with fries, ketchup, cola 20 euros), tasted good, but it wasn't nearly as full as shown in the product photo and therefore way too expensive, the cucumber "salad" (a small bowl with 5 cucumber slices) was forgotten. The chefs don't wash their hands after their break, fumble around with their faces without gloves and then touch the food. It makes you really sick. Especially if you were really looking forward to the burger and are from the catering industry and know the hygiene regulations. In any case, they are not adhered to here. Update 01/29/24: Tried again and left before paying. The chef scratched his back under his T-shirt without gloves and then put lettuce on a burger with his hand. Then put your hand to your nose and back into the salad. PLEASE TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES!!!

Wie überall in der Gastroszene: preiswert war Gestern. Ich hatte einen einfachen JB Cheesburger als Menü, m Pommes u.Cola 0,3 13,40 Euro, +0,70 Ct extra f. 1x Ketchup

Das bessere McDonalds... Bei der Bestellung der Speisen und Getränke hat die Dame leider sehr leise und schnell gesprochen, sodass ich nur die Hälfte verstanden habe. Die Burger waren sehr klein. Als Snack für Zwischendurch okay. Insgesamt in Ordnung.

Meine Frau & Ich waren gestern zum ersten mal bei Jim Block. Meine Frau ist Vegan und ich Leidenschaftlicher Fleisch Esser, was die Auswahl zum gemeinsamen Essen gehen, leicht erschwert. Bei Jim Block sind wir beide voll und ganz auf unsere Kosten gekommen. Ich musste einfach den *Philly Cheesesteak" ausprobieren... Ein echt sau leckerer Burger, besonders für Steakfleisch Liebhaber. Für die Dame gab es einen komplett Vegan Hamburger mit Champions. Die Buns, Petti, Sossen etc alles Vegan. Für Paare die Vegan & Fleisch Esser sind, definitiv sehr zu empfehlen.

Nettes Personal, Essen kam sehr schnell und war sehr lecker. Das Restaurant ist sauber und gemütlich. Ein Wunsch für die Zukunft wäre dass die Sour Cream frisch gemacht ist und nicht abgepackt. Alles in allem eine gute Erfahrung, wenn auch etwas überteuert.

Ein Fast-Food-Restauran mit netter Einrichtung und leckeren, abwechslungsreichem Essen. Die Pommes waren richtig knusprig, der Burger saftig und geschmacklich gut.

Durch das Fleisch könnte man fast hindurchschauen, hatte das Salat Menü. Werde ich nicht mehr hingehen, da mir das Menü zu teuer geworden ist. Wollte eigentlich eine Rababerschorle, sollte aber 60 Cent Aufpreis zahlen, das ist Geldschneiderei.

Das Essen ist zwar lecker, allerdings finde ich 2 € Aufschlag für ein normales vegetarisches Patty nicht mehr Zeitgemäß.

Zuerst das Positive: der Hot Chili Burger war wirklich sehr gut, ABER: der Preis für ein Schälchen kalter Pommes plus Getränk ist völlig überzogen. Und für einen erwachsenen Mann sind die Portionen viel zu klein.

Das Essen war der Hammer. Der Burger (JB Reg) war lecker und preiswert. Die Pommes waren perfekt knusprig, weder trocken noch lapprig noch angebrannt. Ketchup war nicht zu süss. Das einzige was verbessert werden kann ist die Speisekarteanzeige im Internet oder am aushang vorm Laden updaten,da es mehr Sachen gibt als es dransteht. Sehr toll!
