Jim Block Am Kröpcke in Hannover

My Philly steak burger in the dish for 20.60 euros was inedible. The cut meat was still unchewable but the salinity could not be overcome even with a beer bottle. Half of the food went in the trash because it was completely inedible due to salt. Even the visually attractive presentation in pictures and the beautiful onions and other ingredients cannot be individually fathomed. I really wanted to experience hunger-led pleasure. But I had already told myself three times that I would never go to JIM BLOCK again like I did in the Hamburg branches. So chefs note that instead of chatting and flirting with staff, they concentrate on food.

Yesterday (Sunday lunchtime, March 2nd, 2025) we went to “Jim Block” at Kröpcke with our 7-year-old grandson and had a really great experience. This was mainly due to the two young employees at the cash register and at the serving counter - they were exceptionally nice and warm to our grandson and took a lot of time to respond to his wishes, were patient, very helpful and had a good sense of humor. When he couldn't decide on the gift additions for the children's menu, they showed him all the items so that he could choose in peace. Since we had a table near the counter, we were able to observe that the two employees always remained friendly and personable, even when there were larger crowds and obviously annoying customers. In our experience, such natural warmth is unfortunately rarely found in Germany today. The range of high-quality burgers in Hanover is now large, and there is hardly any difference in price. But such committed and friendly employees, who inspire both children and adults with their personalities, are a real rarity. Instead, in many restaurants you only experience a fake, probably trained friendliness that is stubbornly rattled off. We very much hope that "Jim Block" will be able to continue to motivate these two excellent employees sufficiently in the future - because that's exactly what makes the difference!

Eat burgers here regularly. Very tasty for the price. The JimBlockCard is very commendable.

Spontaneously went to Jim Block in the afternoon looking for a burger. Ordering was easy via an order terminal. After about 10 minutes I received my order. The burger is a decent size and has a good taste. The fries were also crispy and hot. I'll be happy to come back.

I just ordered the ceaser menu with a veggie patty and what can I say! Never again! Every time I regret the visit (I've already tried many menus). Bread and patty way too wobbly. One star for the crispy fries and one star for the nice staff. Sorry, just fries to go.

I had dinner with you again today and I have to say, it hasn't been as bad as today in years. Food: Bacon on the burger was soggy, I ordered a slice of cheese extra and paid for it but didn't get it. The burger was also cold! Fries were ok. Your tables are dirty and the toilets are terrible! Starting with the buttons on the door pin, which I don't think have ever been cleaned. It's disgusting! You don't even dare to type in the pin because you're afraid of catching a number of diseases. The toilets are peed and dirty. I think I was with you for the last time. I enjoyed going to Jim Block for many years, but your store has become a real disaster. Too bad!

Very tasty burgers with thick handmade patties made from regional meat. The buns are freshly made and deliciously topped. The price is reasonable for the quality. The waiting time was short and the service was extremely friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Great. The food was excellent, but unfortunately I couldn't quite manage the sumptuous cucumber salad. Next time please have a smaller portion and then it will be 5 stars.

The unfriendly employees made us wait at the checkout for 30 minutes and then said that the checkout wasn't working and that we would have to wait even longer and insulted us as stupid brats just because we wanted more information about why we were waiting so long.

Regional burger was 5/5, hamburger made vegan with the meatless patty was 3/5 (served a bit cold, the patty itself was great though) and the fries were decent BUT tiny portion for the price, definitely not worth 4€ for a tiny bowl

Burgers and fries taste good and are fairly priced. The staff is friendly and happy to listen to guests. I find waiting in the entrance area or in front of the counter and then calling out the code name a bit unpleasant. Maybe it would be possible to change the process a little or set up an extra waiting area...? The restaurant is furnished with a lot of wood or a wood look, which I find very pleasant. There is also no hustle and bustle here like in a classic fast food chain. You can eat in a relaxed manner here. The self-order terminals at the entrance are also quite nice.

We ate at Jim Block's again after a long time, and yes the burgers have become significantly smaller and the prices have risen significantly, it's probably gradually becoming a system everywhere, but it still tastes good.

Food overpriced, side salad consisted of 3 slices (!) of cucumber salad in an egg cup with the Phili Cheese Steak Burger. Soggy roll, 2 pieces of lettuce, 3 small pieces of pepper, with boring sauce. Receipt of goods 2.50 euros for just under 14 euros

We went there for dinner and there was hair in the food. Disgusting... Also the portions are small. I don't recommend this restaurant.

September 26, 2024 at 7:00 p.m We ordered two sets of burger menu. There was a huge worm moving next to burger on the plate. Such scenes - for the first time in our lives! A huge live WORM was on the plate! Never experienced anything like that in my entire life!

Once it's working you don't have to put in so much effort... Taste isn't the problem, it's just that putting it on the plate looked more appealing. Then it's 5 stars again

Disappointing experience with Jim Block at Kröpcke. I've been a loyal customer of Jim Block's for years, but my last visit was an absolute disaster. Just a minute after I paid, my food was ready to be picked up - and unfortunately that was the first warning sign. My fries were cold and hard. When I complained, they were simply thrown back into the deep fryer, which didn't make them any fresher, just made them harder. To my annoyance, my burger, including the patty, was anything but warm. When I brought this up, all I was told was that the fries were “normal” for them, and my burger was remade. But after a minute of eating it makes me seriously doubt that anything was freshly prepared here. For just under €20 I definitely expect more! I've been coming to Jim Block for 10 years, but I've never experienced anything this bad. After this incident, I will definitely not come back.

A rapper was live with Jim Block and what I heard there. Oh god, she only gets one star for that!! Really disrespectful! And the boss has no decency at all.

Burger is good, but €18 for a burger with tasteless fries and 0.3l of cola is definitely too expensive... save yourself the visit.

The food is always good here. In summer you shouldn't sit upstairs because it gets very hot there. The toilets work with a code on the receipt. I find that very practical. You have to speak to the staff if you want a changing facility, as the disabled toilet/changing room needs to be opened.

6 stars! Very friendly, attentive, courteous service If it doesn't come across that way, it's not their fault, but rather due to the large number of work tasks that many people don't (want to) see. Vegetarian options are very tasty. Price-performance is okay; We would even come if the price increased significantly. However, if the quality were to drop a little we would be gone... The employees ensure that guests can eat in peace at the table and are not disturbed by others. Very good hygienic conditions! The service pays exemplary attention to the hygiene concept! I'm livid(!) I'm sick to my stomach it's really expensive and even as a regular customer I'm treated like dirt!!😡😡 Prices are getting more and more expensive and the burgers are getting worse and worse. Such rubbish. The music really pisses me off too. Never again‼️‼️‼️‼️

Philly Cheesesteak Menu. As is known, the steak trimmings/leftovers from the Blockhouse chain are further processed in the Jim Block restaurants. While it still works very well with the "pureed" leftovers to make burgers, with this cheesesteak menu you only have greasy, gristly meat leftovers between the buns. For around 20 euros per person, a pretty disgusting restaurant experience. This menu is a disgrace. The other burgers on the menu are absolutely recommended.

The citizens enjoyed themselves and everything looked very neat and good. But we all spent a very long time in the K... afterwards. That wasn't so nice. Therefore 2 stars for food.

The burgers and fries were super tasty. The fries were, unlike some of the competition, not extremely salty, but nice and crispy. There was also mayonnaise or ketchup with our own recipe. We found both very tasty, although the ketchup was a bit spicy. The burgers were very tasty and super juicy. The chicken was pretty much the best we've ever eaten. The team was super nice and the food came quickly. Nice detail that sets the restaurant apart from other shops: you don't get a number when you order and you don't have to give your name. A creative solution was found for this. I won't tell you anything else, just try it out for yourself. The only point of criticism: the women's toilet was clean, but despite being protected by a code that you only get at the checkout, it was smeared on the walls (whoever that was, shame on you!) and could use a bit of visual polish.

Absolutely TOP! No MC, BK etc nonsense but a reasonable atmosphere with cutlery and plates for the citizens to eat or salads. Again and again!

The burgers were bland in taste and the fries were cold. I've never had such bad mayonnaise before... The only good ones were the sparrows, the sparrows that you could feed with bread.

You should take gloves with you because it won't be a clean game. But it will be very tasty. I was surprised to order on site because you don't get assigned a number like at McDonalds, but rather the streets of Hanover. For example, I was at the Grüner Hage. The food is expensive but tastes incredibly delicious and is worth the meal. I had a cheeseburger with a menu and it was so incredibly juicy and they didn't save on anything, it was more than enough of everything. It's better not to have it delivered because I heard that some things will be missing because they have a lot of deliveries so you should Go there yourself. It's just great.

It was there 7 years ago and it was great, but now it was back in February and unfortunately things have gotten worse. Burgers have become much smaller and the quality has also deteriorated. Unfortunately, the entire store was rather dirty and one of the women's toilets was very dirty and blocked. All in all, the store was unfortunately not very inviting.

I don't actually give negative reviews, but this experience was really terrible. First of all, the delivery had a very long delay. When we called we were told that the driver had simply driven away, but no replacement was arranged. Then the delivery finally came with a delay and 3 items were missing... We called and were told that they won't be delivered because there are no drivers. This wasn't the first time that several items were forgotten, but the fact that the paid order wasn't delivered later is simply audacious. The colleagues remained hungry...

By far the best burger I've ever eaten. The meat was so juicy, but still cooked through. And the Caesar salad was also very tasty - simply served in a porcelain bowl and pretty to look at. And what I also have to emphasize positively - each person is given their own tray and not everything is crammed into one. Great, that's all I can say!

Rarely have I had such a bad burger. Carelessly put together, dripping with fat, the patty light gray, still half raw. I ordered everything to go, so unfortunately I didn't notice what the burgers looked like until I got home. Definitely not recommended.

The burger definitely tasted great, but it was cold. Fries have potential, but mine were too salty + I ordered mayonnaise for €0.80, which I didn't get. Unfortunately, the service was very slow and we almost missed the next train even though we still had 40 minutes left when we entered the store.

Jim Block offers good meat and a nice selection of burgers. I was really satisfied, although not blown away, but the brand stands for quality

16.20 for 1 burger, small salad and 300ml cola. Due to the good quality of the meat I think it is a fair deal. The salad is advertised as small, but I think it has enough fresh vegetables to pass as medium size. Would recommend. The cola is small, but do you really need half a liter of water, sugar and colored chemicals? 😀

Incomprehensible pricing: on a very hot day out and about in the city I urgently needed to buy a drink. Order in fast food without service: still water (there was actually only 0.25l). I should pay €3.20 for that!!! It's unbelievable how people get ripped off here. In every other country you can get still water for free, but even in service restaurants I have rarely if ever seen such prices. If the store at least had atmosphere and friendly staff, ok, but this is the worst rip-off. I was here twice: for the first and last time

So dear people, I was a regular customer at this restaurant for about 9 months and ate there about 2 to 3 times a week. About 5 months ago I had food poisoning and felt bad for several days and vomited. The meat that was served was not cooked through, the regional patty is a bit thicker on the outside and completely raw on the inside. After 4 months I went back there hoping that something had changed. As I was sitting at my table, a lady at the next table took her burger and brought it to the staff and said the meat was not cooked through, of course a new one was prepared. When I got my burger I had to tell the staff that the meat wasn't cooked through. 10 minutes later I got a new burger again, the same thing, good on the outside, completely raw on the inside. I said nothing more, left the citizen lying there and left. It's a real shame that you didn't manage to find someone who could fry burgers properly. I don't recommend anyone to go there anymore because the 🍔 are not prepared correctly. I will share this on all platforms, the reason is you can't and shouldn't fool people like that. A menu costs around 20 euros, which is not a small amount of money these days.
