Delicious burger joint. They have a few vegan and vegetarian burgers, but meat eaters will also find something to their liking here. The iced teas are delicious. We were there on a Saturday evening. It was quite busy. We didn't have a reservation and luckily got a seat.

Beautiful restaurant. It feels like you're in the forest. The decor with the birch trunks is simply stunning. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended for meetings and dates, or simply to relax and recharge after shopping. The restaurant is in the pedestrian zone and usually busy, so don't be surprised if you have to wait a few minutes, but it's worth it. I highly recommend Hans Im Glück.

The dessert in particular was a dream 🍰✨. The drinks also went perfectly with it. The value for money is absolutely spot on 💯 and we went home full, happy, and satisfied. Of the four items on the lunch menu, three were incorrect. After we politely complained, the waitress simply told us not to come back. And called us disrespectful. I'm simply speechless... We will not be going to this restaurant again from today onwards.

If you reduce the burgers and everything else to just the beef, the products are really bad. Otherwise, the atmosphere is nice, in keeping with the concept.

We've been to Hans-im-Glück several times and have always been satisfied. Today we wanted to dine there again with Reibach. We sat outside and waited for service. After about 20 minutes, I asked inside. He was alone, and we should take the other seat (the other side) outside – can't you announce this beforehand? So we sat inside. The service came promptly. We wanted the lunch menu – it was 4:30 p.m. At first, it was too late, but then the waiter corrected himself. Then the lunch menu wasn't available at Reibach. We don't understand the logic. The burger has to be paid for separately anyway. We decided to forgo food and drinks altogether – a shame! Perhaps they should reconsider this practice; it wasn't a problem last year.

The coleslaw was terrible, the burger was only okay, and the fries were great. The tables were small, the benches had no backrests, and they were extremely close to other seats. The music was incredibly loud. In the end, it was a lot of money for very little.

The burger was delicious, with plenty of sauce, but it could have been a bit bigger. The same goes for the fries – €4.90 is a hefty price tag – but at least they were tasty. The ambiance outside is quite sparse, and the unpadded benches without backrests are only semi-comfortable. Overall, 4 stars.

I recently went to Hans im Glück and was really satisfied overall. The selection of burgers and drinks is great; there's something for everyone. The portions are generous, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is really nice! The service was also friendly and attentive. I found it particularly convenient that you can order online and even pay digitally at your table. A few sauces like ketchup, mayo, and BBQ sauce are also freely available. One small criticism: I would have liked a bit more sauce for the Hans im Glück burger. I also think it would be great if you could use PayPal or Klarna when paying online. That would make payment even more flexible. Overall, I had a very enjoyable evening and would love to come back!

Such rubbish, ordered at 9.15pm and at 10.15pm I get a notification saying my order has been cancelled and my money will be refunded, never experienced such rubbish!!!!!

A friend recently wanted a drink and was kicked out for briefly texting the waitress, Priscilla. There was no reason for that, and one should be able to separate personal life from work.

We were very disappointed today. The fries with cheese sauce arrived almost cold, and the sauce on top was enough for about 10 fries. The "Beherzter" burger was a joke - we chose the evening menu twice, including an extra charge for the fries, and paid €56! Sorry, but that's a disgrace. The cocktail, unfortunately, was very low in alcohol. The waitress listened to our complaint and took it seriously; we were given dessert. It was very accommodating and friendly. I hope the owner thinks about some of the negative reviews. Acquiring and retaining customers should be the be-all and end-all these days, and that can't be achieved by only making money once. Note: last year we went there three times and were extremely satisfied, and we didn't even wake up hungry!

My sister and I wanted to eat at Hans im Glück and were told we could sit anywhere. We were asked almost 5 times to do so and after the 5th time we left. Tip for next time: please tell us where the reservation is or show us where we should sit.

Second attempt at eating at this chain. Unfortunately, it was just as disappointing as the first. If you think burger cheese means melted cheese, you can expect a tasteless, unmelted shoe sole here! The staff simply ignores any criticism.

One of the best restaurants... TOP food. Service was incredibly nice. We dropped a drink (we spilled it), and they cleaned it up and even brought a new one (by themselves). The atmosphere was on a whole other level! TOP prices for the quality of the food. Highly recommended!

We've been here several times and each time we've waited over 35 minutes for our food. Not to mention the wait to even order. The restaurant was practically empty some days and quite full on others, and the wait time remained roughly the same... it feels very exhausting when you just want to enjoy a pleasant evening with delicious food.

I went to Hans im Glück with my girlfriend today—she ordered the lunch menu and I only had dessert. The waitress who served us was incredibly rude, rolled her eyes, and refused to bring me tap water. I know it's not an obligation for restaurant owners, but I've never seen someone refuse tap water before. Luckily, she finished work soon after, and everyone else who worked there was very sweet and accommodating. My dessert was delicious, and the (vegan) matcha latte was also very good. My girlfriend also enjoyed her burger and salad :)

So this is a great restaurant with a really nice ambience thanks to the birch trunks and the little houses. We were on a short vacation and stopped here. We were immediately welcomed by our waitress named Kim and were able to choose our place. She is very friendly and accommodating and was very helpful in helping us choose our burgers and drinks. It's been rare lately, but it gets a thumbs up from us. 👍 Our food came super quickly and was delicious. We can say the same for our cocktails. Really everything was great. It's fun to spend a little longer there. In any case, we can only recommend the restaurant and anyone who is really in the mood for great food should stop by there. My husband and I were at HANS IM GLÜCK yesterday. I was looking for a vegan restaurant and then came across this one online. The food was really delicious and reasonably priced. My husband wanted a burger with beef, unfortunately we couldn't be told what grade it was. It's a shame, I think, that a restaurant that advertises the best quality on its website and offers many vegan and vegetarian products should at least be able to tell you where the meat used there comes from. The atmosphere was rather uncomfortable for us. Everything is very narrow, hard benches, loud music. Not a place where you want to sit for long or have a proper conversation. We probably won't come back.

As a group of 6 people, we waited over half an hour for our order. It wasn't really full, but there was only one waitress. It's really a shame...

Bad chaos, of course there are a lot of crowds at major events, but that is also known beforehand. First they say that it's closed outside, even though the menus and sauces are waiting there invitingly: so we move inside and then it takes over an hour for the food to arrive because the whole place is served by two waitresses. They did their best, but it is simply a complete mismanagement of personnel requirements. Food was ok.

We had reserved for 8 people and 12 p.m. The only (overwhelmed) waitress asked us to leave so she could clean the floor. The question whether we could at least sit down to place an order was answered in the negative. A timescale outlook could not be given. We then left with our disappointed children and ate at another restaurant.

Very nice restaurant. Hans im Glück was the restaurant where I can say I was lucky to have invited my partner to dinner for the first time after visiting the Spring Festival. Back to the topic, the menu is well laid out with many vegetarian options, but of course also meaty options. The burgers are very inexpensive for the quality offered, taste good and the portion size is also appropriate. The ambience is very relaxed and natural, eating there in the evening when there is little occupancy is like having a relaxed picnic in the garden because of the decor. The only criticism is the service, unfortunately it took a long time to arrive, which in the end was perhaps an advantage in getting to know my partner better. All in all, a good place for a relaxing evening.

Addendum 2025: Unfortunately, Hans' happiness is no longer what it used to be. The dishes have become very expensive, the service is very poor and the portions are smaller. I'm happy that there is finally one again in Hanover. Service is still a bit chaotic, but that may be due to the reopening and the current Corona rules. I would still like to come back!

Today we were at “Hans im Glück”. We hadn't made a reservation, but we were greeted very friendly and shown to our table. The decor is very original. The food was great. We have rarely experienced such friendly and perfect service. We will definitely come back.

The day before yesterday we were at Hans im Glück – the food was really tasty, but we were particularly impressed by the service. As soon as we entered we were warmly greeted and escorted straight to our table. We didn't have to wait long for the order or the invoice. In addition, the waiter was attentive and friendly. Overall, the service was absolutely top – you feel completely welcome and in good hands. We would definitely like to come back!

Disappointing service – unfortunately no longer recommended I have enjoyed visiting this restaurant in the past and even hosted Christmas dinner there with my employees. Our last visit was even more disappointing. Despite the empty restaurant, we stood at the entrance for several minutes in front of the sign “You will be seated” - without anyone paying any attention to us. When we asked, we were finally given a seat in a very unfriendly manner and without a simple “hello” or greeting. Unfortunately, the negative impression continued: we were completely ignored by the service staff and were only able to order after asking several times. Two employees at the cash register finally had to point this out to the waiter - who acknowledged our request with a disparaging look. All in all the service was subpar and completely unacceptable. One thing is certain for us: that was our last visit. This year's Christmas dinner will definitely be held somewhere else.
