The food was OK, but unfortunately we waited 45 minutes until they asked us what we wanted to drink, and then another 1.5 hours for the food. Luckily, I still had a sandwich with me.

Service staff were unmotivated and inattentive. Repeatedly spoken to so that you were served. Everything took quite a long time, even though nothing was going on...

Very bad service, because the employees first stood there for 15 minutes, then I wanted to choose a seat myself, where I was then told that I should continue to wait, which I hadn't seen, and then I tried to get a seat myself somehow, then I got a very bad seat even though I had back pain and needed a seat with a backrest, the cheeky employee said I don't have a place for you, even though the shop was almost empty and it's not the first time I've experienced that the workers are generally rude. That's why I was unfortunately forced to visit another store, EMBARRASSING!

But what truly stood out was the friendly and welcoming staff. Our server noticed we weren’t fluent in German and immediately switched to English, making us feel right at home. No judgment, just great hospitality. 💯 Final Verdict: If you want mouthwatering burgers, creative sides, and genuinely kind service, this is the place to go in Hannover. We left happy, full, and already planning our next visit! 10/10 recommend!

The food was very tasty, but not filling. The portions were rather small and I recommend two burgers plus a side dish, even more for a men's portion. The lights were dimmed quite a bit, it was a bit too dark. The atmosphere in the store was good, the staff professional and friendly

So this is a great restaurant with a really nice ambience thanks to the birch trunks and the little houses. We were on a short vacation and stopped here. We were immediately welcomed by our waitress named Kim and were able to choose our place. She is very friendly and accommodating and was very helpful in helping us choose our burgers and drinks. It's been rare lately, but it gets a thumbs up from us. 👍 Our food came super quickly and was delicious. We can say the same for our cocktails. Really everything was great. It's fun to spend a little longer there. In any case, we can only recommend the restaurant and anyone who is really in the mood for great food should stop by there. My husband and I were at HANS IM GLÜCK yesterday. I was looking for a vegan restaurant and then came across this one online. The food was really delicious and reasonably priced. My husband wanted a burger with beef, unfortunately we couldn't be told what grade it was. It's a shame, I think, that a restaurant that advertises the best quality on its website and offers many vegan and vegetarian products should at least be able to tell you where the meat used there comes from. The atmosphere was rather uncomfortable for us. Everything is very narrow, hard benches, loud music. Not a place where you want to sit for long or have a proper conversation. We probably won't come back.

As a group of 6 people, we waited over half an hour for our order. It wasn't really full, but there was only one waitress. It's really a shame...

Bad chaos, of course there are a lot of crowds at major events, but that is also known beforehand. First they say that it's closed outside, even though the menus and sauces are waiting there invitingly: so we move inside and then it takes over an hour for the food to arrive because the whole place is served by two waitresses. They did their best, but it is simply a complete mismanagement of personnel requirements. Food was ok.

We had reserved for 8 people and 12 p.m. The only (overwhelmed) waitress asked us to leave so she could clean the floor. The question whether we could at least sit down to place an order was answered in the negative. A timescale outlook could not be given. We then left with our disappointed children and ate at another restaurant.

Very nice restaurant. Hans im Glück was the restaurant where I can say I was lucky to have invited my partner to dinner for the first time after visiting the Spring Festival. Back to the topic, the menu is well laid out with many vegetarian options, but of course also meaty options. The burgers are very inexpensive for the quality offered, taste good and the portion size is also appropriate. The ambience is very relaxed and natural, eating there in the evening when there is little occupancy is like having a relaxed picnic in the garden because of the decor. The only criticism is the service, unfortunately it took a long time to arrive, which in the end was perhaps an advantage in getting to know my partner better. All in all, a good place for a relaxing evening.

Addendum 2025: Unfortunately, Hans' happiness is no longer what it used to be. The dishes have become very expensive, the service is very poor and the portions are smaller. For me the price-performance ratio is no longer right! Maybe you'll rethink your pricing policy? Original review: As always at Hans im Glück, very tasty. I'm happy that there is finally one again in Hanover. Service is still a bit chaotic, but that may be due to the reopening and the current Corona rules. I would still like to come back!

Today we were at “Hans im Glück”. We hadn't made a reservation, but we were greeted very friendly and shown to our table. The decor is very original. The food was great. We have rarely experienced such friendly and perfect service. We will definitely come back.

Disappointing service – unfortunately no longer recommended I have enjoyed visiting this restaurant in the past and even hosted Christmas dinner there with my employees. Our last visit was even more disappointing. Despite the empty restaurant, we stood at the entrance for several minutes in front of the sign “You will be seated” - without anyone paying any attention to us. When we asked, we were finally given a seat in a very unfriendly manner and without a simple “hello” or greeting. Unfortunately, the negative impression continued: we were completely ignored by the service staff and were only able to order after asking several times. Two employees at the cash register finally had to point this out to the waiter - who acknowledged our request with a disparaging look. All in all the service was subpar and completely unacceptable. One thing is certain for us: that was our last visit. This year's Christmas dinner will definitely be held somewhere else.

Additionally, we had to wait a very long time for our order, even though there were few customers. The service should definitely improve its organization and approach to guests.

The food was delicious and there was nothing wrong with it - but the aisles were very narrow and there was no room for a stroller. The employees offer to leave the stroller at a collection point in the middle of a door - but it is left unattended and no one assumes liability. Small children have the opportunity to paint at the table itself, which we thought was great.

What's particularly striking is the stylish furnishings with birch tree trunks and the swing seating in the middle of the restaurant - a real eye-catcher! The cleanliness in the restaurant is exemplary, both in the dining rooms and in the sanitary facilities. While the women's toilet was in perfect condition, there was unfortunately an unpleasant smell in the men's area that urgently needed to be remedied. The service was excellent: the service was quick and friendly, and our food was served in no time. What was particularly positive was the option to choose between different types of bread - perfect for adapting the meal to your own hunger. We opted for the pre-5pm menu which was very good value for money. It includes a burger of your choice, fries or sweet potatoes, a cold drink and a warm drink to finish. Another plus are the various sauces that are available to choose from directly at the table. Overall, we were very happy with our visit and will definitely come back. A clear recommendation for everyone who values ​​good food, fast service and a special ambience!

We were there this evening and left very satisfied. The atmosphere of the store itself was unique and beautiful! The food was 10/10 and the cocktails were delicious! What we thought made the big difference was the service! The young people who looked so respectful and with smiles on their faces the whole time also made us feel very comfortable! Even though the place was very busy, we got our cocktails and food pretty quickly! I highly recommend it!

Although the house wasn't full, the service was unfortunately a bit slow. Clearing tables seemed more important than serving customers. Eat well and also have many options for choosing food, even if you have intolerances.

A very bad service. We had to ask for payment 4 times. After asking 3 different employees about payment and waiting for 30 minutes, we went to the front desk. There the fifth employee asked us what he could do for us?! The waiter then discussed things with us... after we were allowed to pay after 45 minutes, we were able to leave the restaurant after almost 2 hours... Absolutely not recommended! A bad service. If you offer a lot of tables, you also have to hire more staff and especially staff who can operate an EC device!

We were there in December. When we finished eating and I wanted to pay my bill, I tried to pay the bill using the QR code at the table. When my cell phone said that payment had failed, I asked the waitress again, just to be on the safe side, whether the bill had actually already been paid and when she said no, I paid it to her personally. The amount was debited twice. That's why I've been calling them constantly for over a month and have already sent several emails asking for a refund and each time I was assured that it would be taken care of. I haven't received a cent since then. Even after we were there again in person, nothing happened. Not even an apology. An insane impudence!

It was super tasty, the selection was very varied (vegan, vegetarian and with meat), so there was something for everyone :) I can only recommend Grandma's Secret as a dessert. The cocktails were very good, both non-alcoholic and with alcohol. The service was super friendly.

It was quick and friendly. The restaurant looks very chic.

At first the impression was "loud" it looks good but why does there have to be a music box hanging over every table that almost makes you have to shout at yourself to have a conversation?! But everyone's cheek was to squeeze 4 people into such a small seating area that there was more than no room. Every sweater or other piece of clothing is too much because you can't move properly. We reserved 5 days in advance. When we asked why we couldn't sit in one of the "covered" seats, we said that it was reserved and only 4 people could go in there at a time. THERE WERE FOUR OF US! We waited almost 50 minutes for the drinks, you have to manage that first. Especially since the cola and beer “already” came after 30 minutes and the cotails then took another 25 minutes or longer. The food came about 40 minutes later. I can't recommend the cheese king with the burgers, it tasted kind of "old" so the meat wasn't that great. My husband had the double king, which wasn't great either. My friends' other two vegan burgers tasted good but not outstanding either. The fries were very, very good, you really have to say that. The sweet potatoes are really good. That was it but for four people we paid a little over 110 euros. 6 drinks + 3 times the last supper and a burger and a bread dip. We don't have to go there again. It's a place for young, patient people who like to wait, like house music that's way too loud and like to be squeezed back to back with strangers.

I had seen some great pictures of Hans im Glück and wanted to experience it live. Today we were spontaneously nearby so we went to Hans im Glück. Lokaischen is beautifully furnished. Restaurant was busy, with a few seats available. We asked the waitress if there was free choice of seating?! She then replied "We are not accepting any new guests as it is already very full" Mind you, there were still enough places available. We left the restaurant feeling a bit disappointed as we had been looking forward to it. Well, That was probably the first and last visit to Hans im Glück. Too bad.

Our waitress was already at our table to pay, but then she decided to take in new guests and was gone again for five minutes. When I paid I tipped a bit, not much but appropriate for our experience. She didn't say thank you and then gave me back a euro short after rummaging through her wallet for ages. Before I could say anything, she was already gone. I don't care about the one euro, I don't care about the audacity. Didn't want to do a breakdown and then left. Won't be coming back anytime soon.

The waitresses you talk to say they'll be right back and then make you wait another 15 minutes. We asked to pay and waited almost 30 minutes until we finally paid! The service definitely needs to be worked on!! Therefore only 1 star for the service.
