After a shopping tour in the Quarree, this restaurant is a recommended place to rest and recharge your batteries 🍔

We are on vacation in Hamburg and ordered something from Jim Block in Hamburg. The positive thing was that the delivery was relatively quick and the food arrived warm. However, the “cucumber salad” that comes with the Philly cheesesteak was really offensive. For a whopping €16.80 you get 4 slices of cucumber in an exaggeratedly large plastic container for this moderately great sandwich. You could have really left it out and saved the plastic, with so much.

Unfortunately it has become even more expensive, burgers are small and don't taste particularly good. Overall a boring overpriced experience. There will be no more Jim Block for me.

Mega tasty, as always, love the fries, they are right on point. Ate Philisteak today, absolutely delicious, it was a bit expensive but worth every penny. Well, that was a few months ago. But unfortunately not anymore, we were there yesterday and didn't recognize the Philisteak Burger, the bread was limp, the meat was less than usual and the cheese sauce was only lightly drizzled on it, it was a bitter disappointment.

Jim Block House was one of my favorite burger places in Hamburg, unfortunately I don't know what has happened lately, I don't know if the concept of food has changed, since my expectations to continue visiting them with that emotion as before are not the same and with respect The price is not like before because one expects to see an impressive burger and the truth is that it is not a negative comment, it is my constructive opinion and I hope they change that concept that I see every time Jim Block stores become increasingly empty. The burger doesn't taste as good as it used to or it doesn't taste as good anymore. It feels like the meat is of lower quality than before. Saving on quality AND quantity with the constant price increases is not okay. For the same money you can get much better and fresher burgers in many places.

We had dinner here today around 9:00 p.m. Phillip at the checkout, super personable and very friendly. There should be more people like him. Food was also very tasty.

A good place for a quick and good burger with or without a menu option and therefore a very good alternative to the classic fast food restaurants... Interesting and good burger selection 🍔. You should try it out ;-) Nice to know: Jim Block was the first to bring the burger to Hamburg (1973), and you can also see photos of the beginnings in the restaurant. Very ‘retro’ and interesting to see.

Good quality, but also has its price. Just Jim.Block. It's quick to order and pick up at the counter, but it can also be ordered at the service desk. Staff is nice. The food is quickly prepared and ready for collection. The tables are clean. What is missing is salt and pepper on the table. The selection is great, there are also offers and variations that you don't get otherwise. Clear recommendation.

Simply too expensive, 2 cheeseburgers (1 x as a menu with fries and more small cola), extra bacon, 1x extra 0.3 cola and 1 mini cheeseburger over €36. The menu cost €16. You get in a bad mood while eating.

Even though the burgers taste very good, I think it's too expensive - especially the drinks. Otherwise tasty and friendly.

Today I was at Jim Block's in Wandsbek and ordered a cheeseburger as part of my menu. When my menu was ready to be picked up, I unfortunately discovered that there was a big, fat crust decorating the lettuce leaf of my burger. She also seemed to feel very comfortable there. At least she moved very excitedly. When I pointed this out to the employee, he immediately took the plate back and the burger was remade. This time even without marten. There was a short apology but that was it. For my part, today was the last time I was there. That really doesn't work. Totally disgusting. 🤮

Delicious food but unfortunately I didn't read the order carefully several times and for example cheese was put on the burger even though it was deselected. Still, I like to stop by for quick fast food.

The food is, as always, very tasty. Not to be compared with fast food chains. But the prices are so high that you can also go to a nice restaurant for it. The portions have shrunk mega. It is very loud, dark and narrow. More of a cafeteria feeling.

Caution: Although hygiene is propagated, on site and in front of everyone present, the chef picks up sauce from the edge of the plate and presses it onto the burger with his fingers. Pretty disgusting and then made the other burgers with the same unwashed fingers. We ordered two hamburgers there yesterday that were mistakenly made with cheese. When we tried to exchange them there was no response at all and after an eternity we were told accusingly that the burgers would be thrown away if they were exchanged. Why this information? It wasn't our fault that the preparation was wrong. We ended up keeping the burgers because we found the overall situation oppressive and very unpleasant. We probably won't come back.

I have been a regular customer at this branch for 15 years but today I was massively disappointed due to the lack of hygiene during preparation. I received a very poorly cooked burger with the bread and ingredients (sauce and jalapeno) lying next to the burger. The fact that no one from the service noticed - although obvious - shows how weak it is. I asked to put the sauce and other ingredients on the burger. The plate then went back to the kitchen and the chef seriously squeezed all the sauce and jalapeno onto the burger with his hands and handed it out to us. I refused the burger because I find it extremely disgusting, borderline and unhygienic for someone to pick up sauce from the side of the plate with their hands and put it on my burger. The young gentleman with an earring from the service, who claimed to be a supervisor, couldn't understand my criticism and wanted to portray me as someone who would have to throw away food if I didn't accept the burger. He defended the procedure and said they always did it that way and that they were hygienically tested and therefore it was okay. The other chef confirmed this and also couldn't understand the criticism. Instead of simply changing the burger, he discussed it for 10 minutes and repeated that it wasn't a problem to grab the sauce with your hands. I can still accept it with bread but not with liquids. You have lost a long-time regular customer and only because you are too proud to admit your mistakes and adhere to hygiene rules. I will report this to the health department because my colleague from the service department provoked this. If he had just exchanged the burger I would be happy, but thank you. Attached is a picture of another customer's burger, embarrassingly and disgustingly prepared. Worse than McDonald's. Shame on you!

Nette Begrüßung. Bestellung kann am Automaten zusammengestellt werden oder Face to Face an der Rezeption. Neben der Entscheidung welcher Bürger in die Wahl kommen soll, kann diese Entscheidung noch individuell modifiziert und ergänzt werden. Sehr gutes Fleisch (Block House ist Muttergesellschaft) und beste Zutaten. Gerade zu perfekt sind die dünnen Pommes Frites-Optionen.

I didn't think it was that good here. The burger wasn't that great. I had the JB Barbecue. I've been here before, but this time the meat was very dry. Unfortunately it wasn't fried well. The ingredients were OK, but unfortunately the fries were also dry and a bit cooler. You should try harder, especially if a burger costs more than €10. The service isn't really there. You order at the checkout and then you have to pick up your food yourself. The service was at least nice, which earns it one star The ambience is quite ok. It is tailored to a burger joint and for younger customers. But everything was very clean and the food was also neatly prepared. Unfortunately, the entrance is very close to the main street and many people and cars passed the tables that are close to the entrance door. All in all, it's probably not worth another visit from me, but I might give it another chance and be happy to be pleasantly surprised.

Have been there for the 4th year in a row for 2 weeks always in the middle of June. We've really changed a lot for the better behind the dike. It was quite quiet during the week, always a bit noisy on the weekend, but we know that. Super nice staff everywhere. Food in the restaurant was excellent. We will probably be happy to come back

What's going on with Jim Block in Altona? JB Caesar was too dry, too salty, no arugula. This can be done better!

We ordered 4 burgers and two fries as well as a cole saw, 2 breads and dips via the JimBlock website. Delivery took over an hour and everything arrived cold!!! For €61... it's really a disgrace. According to the receipt, the order was supposed to be ready at 8:06 p.m. and it was picked up at 8:50 p.m. so our food was in the country for 44 minutes. We will never order anything here again!!

We were here today at 10:45 p.m. We thought it was closed, asked if we could get something to eat and were expecting annoyed staff so close to closing time. But it was so great...the nice young man at the service terminal was so friendly and accommodating...we felt so comfortable. I own a sales and service business myself and all I can say is, dear boss, this man deserves a big raise. We'd love to come back.

Restaurant itself is cozy, fries were cold and fritters were gristly (never had them before). I left 19 euros there and I'm really disappointed. 80 cents for ketchup is now really exorbitant. I won't be back any time soon

Do you know that feeling when you feel like your best time is over? That's how I feel about Jim Block. The burgers are getting smaller and smaller, so are the breads and at the same time the prices only have one direction 🆙 By the way, this also applies to the Block House restaurants. The waiting time becomes longer, but the drink then sits on the counter for 10 minutes (goodbye carbon dioxide and temperature). It's a shame, something dear is falling away and I probably won't be coming anymore...

There were three of us there with children and we quickly got our food, which tasted delicious. I can well imagine that you sometimes have to wait a long time here, but that wasn't the case for us. Service was good and the atmosphere at Jim Block is cozy as usual.

Good simple and uncomplicated food. The staff was friendly and tried hard, but couldn't answer questions and forgot things when ordering, which were then kindly handed over. Since it took a lot of effort to deal with it, this is fine with me.

Unfortunately the visit was very disappointing. We had the Phli Cheesesteak and unfortunately it didn't convince us at all. The bun was a bun, only long, which unfortunately doesn't fit. Unfortunately the filling wasn't convincing either. For almost 14 euros I would have expected something different. Maybe it would be better with other bread.

We love getting burgers from Jim Block Wandsbek. Here it is possible to get a suitable burger despite intolerances and allergies. Unfortunately, it was only when we got home today that we noticed that something wrong had landed on the burger. A call to the store and a new burger from Philipp was immediately brought to our home. Great customer service! We are happy to continue to be customers!

Gewohnte Qualität und Service. Seit Jahren immer wieder gerne.

Hinweis: Bestellung über Uber-Eats Ich hatte am Freitagabend über Uber einen Chicken-Cheese Burger mit Süsskartoffel-Pommes bestellt. Ich war erstmal sehr schockiert über den hohen Preis aber aktuell ist ja alles etwas teurer. Dass daraus dann aber eine Lebensmittelvergiftung resultiert, damit hatte ich nicht gerechnet. Ich hatte beim Verzehr des chicken burgers schon einen komischen Geschmack im Mund, hatte aber nochmal kontrolliert, dass das Fleisch wirklich durch war. Jedenfalls landete ich am nächsten Tag im KH am Tropf. Das war’s wohl mit Jim Block für Mich. Dass man essen erwartet, was nicht krank macht ist denke ich selbstverständlich aber bei dem Preis umso mehr. Leider hat die Qualität der Lieferdienste insgesamt stark abgenommen. Sehr schade.

Habe gerad von einem Freund essen nach Hause bringen lassen. Die Äste von einem Baum wären bestimmt schmackhafter als diese Pommes!

Wie gewohnt. Ein paar Änderungen an der Speisekarte. Allerdings vor,, Energiekrise " habe ich für die selben Produkte 10€ weniger gezahlt. Mal schauen wie es ab Januar ist. MwSt!!!!

Burger und Beilagen richtig lecker. Ambiente ist halt etwas "karg". Beim Service nur 3 Sterne, weil eigentlich immer die Tische nicht richtig sauber sind.

Über das Ambiente mag man sich streiten, aber das Essen war gut. Lediglich die Mayonnaise finde ich immer minimal zu salzig, aber vielleicht liegt es auch an mir..

Sauberes Restaurant, war zur Mittagszeit dort. Ein wenig warten musste man, aber dafür würde der Chicken Cheeseburger mit Pommes super frisch zubereitet. So heiße Pommes hatte ich schon lange nicht mehr in einem Burger-Restaurant. Lecker war es auch noch. Hier komme ich gerne wieder her.

Lecker. Das ist das eine wort mit dem man den wunderschönen burger bezeichnen kann. Es ist einfach nur lecker. Empfohlen! 10/10

Leider hat Jim Block-Wandsbek sehr nachgelassen. - Essen nicht heiß (lauwarm) - Essen zu wenig (Burger und Pommes) ich war nicht satt! - Essen war Geschmacklos - Und die Sauberkeit

Jim Block ist immer eine gute Anlaufstelle für einen Snack, wenn es schnell gehen soll. Burger uns Pommes waren wie immer lecker.

Mein Caesar-Burger war nicht so toll. Die Sauce sehr salzig, das Fleisch eher trocken. Die Süßkartoffelpommes ging, aber auch nichts besonderes. Vielleicht habe ich einfach Pech gehabt. 16 Euro fand ich bei der Qualität leider übertrieben. Meine Begleitung hat sich für den Italien-Burger entschieden und war zufrieden. Obwohl wir fast gleichzeitig bestellt haben, kam das Essen mit einem Unterschied von 10 Minuten. Was ich aber super fand, war das hauseigene Bier. Hier würde ich auf jeden Fall 5 Sterne vergeben.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Werden wir wieder besuchen.

Ich bestelle mir immer den Italian Burger im Menü . Immer frisch und lecker. Die Mitarbeiter sind auch sehr freundlich.

Mayo/Ketchup auf die Pommes kostet extra. Ansonsten sind die paar Euro mehr als McDonalds die Burger auf jeden Fall wert!
