Japanisches Restaurant Fujiwara in Frankfurt am Main

It was the most delicious food (not just Japanese food) I had in Europe. It was surprising that such fresh sashimi was served in Frankfurt, which is inland. All the staff were very friendly. It's the best.

Authentic Japanese restaurant. The food tastes great, presented in very pleasant plates. Service is great too! It reminds me of those similar restaurants when I was in Tokyo and Kyoto👍

Oishii katta desu (It was delicious)! Here you can get really authentic Japanese food at absolutely reasonable prices. From the lunch menu I can highly recommend the grilled salmon (yakizanka) and tonkatsu (breaded pork schnitzel). For dessert we shared a scoop of matcha ice cream, which also tasted very good. Even those who don't speak Japanese are in good hands here: the friendly service speaks German very well. The restaurant is very small, so be sure to make a reservation!!! We'll definitely come back. Oishii katta desu (Es war köstlich)! Hier gibt es wirklich authentisch japanisches Essen zu absolut zivilen Preisen. Von der Mittagkarte kann ich den gegrillten Lachs (Yakizanka) und auch Tonkatsu (paniertes Schweineschnitzel) sehr empfehlen. Zum Nachtisch haben wir uns eine Kugel Matcha-Eis, das ebenfalls sehr gut geschmeckt hat, geteilt. Auch wer nicht japanisch spricht, ist hier gut aufgehoben: Die freundliche Bedienung spricht sehr gut deutsch. Das Restaurant ist sehr klein, daher auf alle Fälle reservieren!!! Wir kommen sicher wieder. Mata kondo (Bis bald)!

The lights when it gets darker in the evening could be a light lower to have a more comfortable and intimate environment

Small, fine sushi restaurant, it's better to reserve. Lunch with a large sushi platter and karaage menu. The sushi was delicious and is recommended. Karaage was okay, I've eaten better ones and the portion was a little small. Service was great.

I finally found a backup sushi restaurant for Sushimoto. However, the sushi is not only as good as in Sushimoto, but in some cases better. Sakamoto san can finally retire in peace (whenever he wants). We are saved.

Small but still Japanese-run restaurant. It was a culinary experience & everything tasted wonderful. Good quality and above all we fell in love with the super tender beef. We would like to come again !

A hidden little gem in Bockenheim. Wide variety of dishes (including some more exotic dishes) and the fresh seafood and sushi is of a good quality. Making a reservation makes sense. On a Wednesday night they only had two tables free; both of which were taken within 30 minutes of them opening. Will definitely be back.

Super authentische japanische Gerichte und freundliche japanische Gastfreundlichkeit

ランチで伺いました。席数は多くないですが、雰囲気の良いレストランでした。ランチメニューも沢山ありました。悩みつつサラダもあるので刺身定食にしました。お刺身も色々な種類があり美味しかったです。

We keep coming back for over 10 years already. Best sushi we had in the Frankfurt area. Wonderful, traditional selection of sushi, tempura, udon, soba, and some other treats. Cosy space. Lovely owner who always makes us smile when we visit. Top!

Food is very good and ingredients are fresh. It is very small and the restaurant is in the side street. The service is always nice and welcoming.

Exceptionally good quality sushi. One of the few places I can get typical japanese lunch sets and fish dishes. The owners are really nice and charming, the place is small and cozy and the prices are fair - especially when you go there during lunch times and get the lunch menus.

Best sushi I had in Frankfurt. The fish is incredibly high quality, and the price was more than reasonable considering how good it was. Definitely recommend the lunch menus, best deals. The staff is also super nice and me and my girlfriend had a super relaxing lunch!

The Japanese restaurant Fujiwara in Bockenheim, the centre of Frankfurt, is in the midst of a urban living quarter. This small and very cosy furnished restaurant feels more like being at a friends place for dinner. You always need a reservation! Start the evening with their small starters, they call them Nebengerichte. All extremely fresh and masterful prepared using the best of ingredients. The tempura is superb! The fish and merry dishes are very authentic and tasty. Their flagship dishes are the nigiri sushi and the sashimi. What a treat and a tribute to the Chefs to serve the finest of raw fish at very reasonable prices. Definitely worth the trip! This is no-nonsense Japanese fare the way it is traditionally prepared and served! A very nice sake- and wine list accompanied our meal perfectly!

Fujiwara begeistert uns seit vielen Jahren. Bereits vor dem Umzug aber auch nach dem Umzug nach Bockenheim ist das Fujiwara unsere erste Wahl für Sushi und andere japanische Spezialitäten. Die Gastgeber im Fujiwara kümmern sich liebevoll um ihre Gäste und Kunden und erklären alles, wenn man Fragen hat. Aus meiner Sicht das beste japanische Restaurant Frankfurts (ich kenne auch außerhalb viele aber kein besseres)

Wir haben dort Sushi gegessen.Sehr frisch und lecker.Mitarbeiter waren auch sehr nett.Ich kann das nur weiterempfehlen.

Einfach ein super japanisches Restaurant mit sehr gutem Sushi und authentischen japanischen Gerichten. Ich konnte bis jetzt kein besseres sushi für diesen Preis finden (vergesst nicht die Mittagskarte anzuschauen). Die Bedienung ist natürlich auch super nett, wie zu erwarten. Das Restaurant ist etwas kleiner also am besten reservieren. Im Sommer kann man auch draußen essen.

One of the best sushis I have tried in town. Service was so kind and very helpful with the choices. Fresh and good quality. Ambiente was perfect. I would recommend to make a reservation before going there, due to its limit capacity of ppl inside. They also have take out service in case you want to enjoy a good sushi dinner at Home. Definitely coming back!!!

Ich hatte einen sehr schönen Abend in diesem authentischen Japanischen Restaurant. Sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeber bzw. Besitzer. Die meisten Gäste waren selbst Japaner, was schon immer ein gutes Zeichen ist. Sehr schöne Bilder nd hochwertige Ausstattung. Klei und fein. Die Speisen sind sensationell!!! Frisch, schmackhaft und sehr nett angerichtet. Ich kann mich an kein besseres Japanisches Restaurant erinnern. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Geschmacklich in Ordnung. Die Udon Nudelsuppe war auch nicht mehr als ne Brühe mit n Paar Nudeln drin. Die Misosuppe war okay. Alles in allem jedoch sehr überteuert für kleine Portionen

Warum ? 1 ) Weil man dort die besten Sushis in Deutschland essen kann. 2 ) Wegen Frau Fujiwara's Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit. 3 ) Ich bin viel gereist und habe in so vielen Restaurants gespeist, aber nirgendwo habe ich solche Sauberkeit erlebt.
