By far the best Asian all you can eat. It is expensive, 29 per person. but also top quality and freshly prepared. It's worth it.

Not what it was anymore. Young waiter unfriendly or silent, carelessly 'pushed' the individual components onto the table, no 'Good day' or 'Hello' or 'Here you go'. Absolutely impossible. Some components in the rounds were forgotten.

So I didn't really feel comfortable there. I think it would be good if they would make the restaurant a little fancier... e.g. a few more ceiling lights so it isn't so dark and maybe the food would be a little fresher? -the food is okay. A lot of it was fried. Been there 3 times and it doesn't really get any better. But the drinks were good and you could park right in front of the restaurant.

Update: Been here again in between. Food has gotten a little better. Of course, you always have to see this in relation to the price. Increase from 3 to 4 stars (Old:) Unfortunately, in my opinion the quality has decreased compared to last year. Spices appear to be used sparingly. The service was good and the food came to the table quickly. It would be great if you could see which dishes are still missing, so you no longer have to be surprised if something comes along after 30 minutes that you didn't have on your screen. Not all dishes were illustrated on the tablet, but there was still a normal menu.

Today we had a delicious meal at the Japanhaus in Leverkusen. Really highly recommended restaurant.

I like it best there when it's "beer garden" weather and you can sit outside behind the house!! Food is always great, especially since you can choose what you like! Brunch! Everything is done on a tray... whoever likes it. Operation helps if it doesn't work yet!

We were fobbed off with salty and cold food. After a complaint we were insulted and no improvement was offered. My girlfriend vomited from the bad food in the restaurant. When I pointed this out, we were insulted and argued with each other. This outrageous behavior was absolutely disgusting and not even worth a star. I used to love going there, but today I only get cheap, salty food. She asked us to come back with a certificate instead of making amends. At that moment another worker stepped in and disrespected us.

So today was a disaster. It was mega full. The staff was totally overwhelmed. We were there for 2½ hours. In the restaurant, many of the dishes that were ordered were not received at all. Only bits and pieces arrived, never anything together. When we got our dessert (ice cream with banana) the banana only came after the ice cream, some of the main course came that we had ordered 1 hour before the main course. We also waited 20 minutes for the bill. The food was sometimes luke warm to cold. At least we will no longer visit the Japan House on Saturday evenings. We'll see what it looks like next time.

It was very tasty. Since you order here using a tablet, the operation is quite quick and quiet. You are left alone - you may like it or not. For us it was very pleasant and we find it much better than classic service.

Very tasty food, especially the many different types of sushi.

We had reserved a table. We were seated at a table in the passage. The request to please give us another table was rejected because there was apparently no other table available. However, the entire winter garden was empty and a few tables were occupied there after us. As you can see in the pictures, the tables opposite us were full of rubbish. It was pulling like crazy so you had ice-cold feet and an ice-cold back. Behind us there were some bottles on the shelf on our bench. The floor was totally sticky. When serving, a maki fell from the plate onto the serving tray. The waiter who had previously tapped the maki simply put it back on the plate with his hands. The food was ok, but nothing more. The selection used to be more extensive. The waiter and the lady who served the food were beyond rude. When cashing out, it was assumed that the change did not have to be given back. The change was only given back when asked. Normally we give the usual 10% in Germany but given the service and the ambience we didn't see this. We were there for the last time today.

We are there pretty much every 2-3 weeks and have never been dissatisfied. It tastes fantastic and in terms of price-performance ratio there is nothing remotely good in Leverkusen. Kind regards, the two giants :-]

Location: There is a parking lot on site, you can sit out the back on warm days and the ambience is a kind of half-timbered mountain Tokyo. Employee+Order: Work very quickly and are friendly, the food doesn't take long. You order via a tablet where you can always choose 5 things per person. Some things like skewers or sushi often come in small portions of 2 or 3 er things... but that counts as one. Normally after about 3-4 orders you are full. Eat: There's a lot of choice even for people who say: hey, but I don't like sushiiiiiii... vanilla ice cream or chocolate or, er, sesame and wasabi?! No problem. Fries or chicken wings are also available. It's EVERYTHING very tasty and fresh. Shit, now I'm in the mood for Japanhaus...

It was very tasty 😋. Gladly again. The food was hot, unlike self-service buffets.

We were placed in the cold winter garden and were freezing. Of the 10 portions we tried, not one tasted nearly as good as previous visits to this restaurant. The soy sauce gave the impression of being diluted with water. Sweet and sour sauce as if stretched with applesauce, I had the impression that everything was saved. However, the staff was very friendly, a shame for what used to be a good restaurant.

First time eating Japanese food. Basically, you should make a table reservation otherwise you may end up going home without eating.

We go to the Japan House regularly and are always satisfied with the very good quality, the ordering concept via iPad is also very good, everything goes smoothly and quickly, we really like the all you can eat offer and with the large selection there is something for everyone included.

Very good sushi all you can eat

For my wedding anniversary, I decided to invite my wife to the Japanhaus in Leverkusen and it was the perfect choice. The atmosphere was pleasant and stylish, ideal for a special occasion. The modern ordering system via tablet was not only innovative, but also entertaining, as we were able to choose different dishes at our leisure. The sushi was excellent, fresh and tasted to the point. We particularly enjoyed the warm dishes, which were also of high quality. The service was attentive and made our evening special. It was an unforgettable evening - we will definitely come back!

The food is very tasty. Prices reasonable (20-30€ per person all you can eat), service very quick and friendly, free parking in front of the door/opposite the restaurant. Seating inside and outside. Not a classic Japanese restaurant (older half-timbered house) but very clean. We'd love to come back

It was our first time eating there, buffet, mainly because of the sushi... It takes a little getting used to with the tablet, you can choose 5 dishes per person and then have to wait 10 minutes until the next order, in total you have 2 hours. The service isn't really chatty, but everything happens very quickly. The sushi was excellent and tasted very good. The noodles, rice, meat and the remaining side dishes were good as in any other restaurant, but not exactly worth mentioning. The price, especially for the buffet, is a bit high compared to others, but acceptable for the sushi. We will eat there again

We regularly eat lunch here on Saturdays. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable. Nice sushi selection and a little bit of everything. Ordering via tablet works perfectly, the time between courses is OK. Very friendly staff.

The ordering system is really great. A new round can be ordered every 10 minutes via tablet. The food is very tasty and it's great that you can try a bit of everything. I'm always happy to be back when I'm in my old homeland.

The quality of the food and service was very good on the first visit. In the meantime, however, things have slowed down a bit and there is little vegetarian choice for sushi. However, food comes very quickly and the price is okay compared to Cologne city center.

Compared to other sushi restaurants, the food is acceptable and tasty. The tablet was put down without comment. Otherwise, the food came quickly, the mochi ice cream is very expensive at €1, but also very tasty.

So the location doesn't blow you away, but that's not why I was there. The food is, in my opinion, absolutely fantastic. Ordering via the tablet works without any problems and the prices are reasonable for the really tasty meals.

Simply great! We looked for a restaurant on the way to Altenberg Cathedral and discovered the Japan House. A great idea to be able to order your food with your tablet. We are vegetarians and were able to order delicious food. The food we ordered came within minutes and was served with a smile. We would love to come back 😃

More Asian decorations won't hurt.

The food was great. Ordering is done online. Served quickly. But...when it became empty, we were sitting outside, there was a rustling in the bush and two rats scurried across the terrace. Pure nature, I don't have to have it.

The restaurant is located in a rather isolated area in the open countryside. Unfortunately there was a truly nauseating smell of manure in the area. The restaurant looks shabby and neglected. The interior was equally neglected, superficial cleaning, there were many cobwebs. You could order with the tablet every 10 minutes, quite convenient and the dishes arrived quickly. We were there for lunch. The food was mostly tasteless. I think most of it was frozen. Only a few dishes convinced me. For dessert you could only choose ice cream and fruit, which I think was a little too limited. The hot dishes like chicken and meat were quite good, while the Nudeln had no flavor at all. In general I don't think we will return to this place, especially after this experience I don't think it would be worth trying to go back for dinner.

The Japan House is not a classic sushi restaurant in terms of its presentation. The old half-timbered house has been misused and that has a huge impact on the ambience. It's not particularly cozy and if you want to eat typical Asian food, this is the wrong place. At least it's nice that you can sit outside. Like in many other sushi restaurants, you order your food using a tablet, which I personally really like. You can order 10 dishes at the same time per round. The food isn't bad, but almost all of the dishes just lack real taste. Our highlight was the dessert, both the baked banana and pineapple as well as the ice cream are very tasty. The service is extremely fast and the staff is friendly, but also a bit taciturn and the dishes are only served in a "quick jagged" manner, a bit carelessly. But in my opinion that can be tolerated. For an evening without much going on and without high expectations, the restaurant is certainly quite nice, but nothing more. Parking spaces are available free of charge directly in front of the house.

After the price increase we went back for the first time and felt the quality had increased a bit as well as the selection (at lunch). Although it no longer has the unbeatable P/L ratio it used to have, it is still a recommendation! We're coming back more regularly now.

The food was amazing. Service was very fast. The people working there do not mind kids being kids. Only a few dining there were rolling their eyes. Children could also play outside, if the weather is good. The owner provided toys for the kids to play, which was really nice. I highly recommend it. Do reserve the seats there though.

The only point deducted is the ambience. The service was friendly. We were there at 2:00 p.m. The food, hot and cold, was served quickly.

We have been guests here several times and would not have been if the Japan House had not made certain points: • The ordering concept via the tablets is super smart. • The appetizers themselves are delicious. • The variety of appetizers is good in the evenings, okay at lunchtime. • Everything ordered is brought to the tables quickly. If you decide to visit, you should know that you have to make the following compromises: • The staff acts quite hectically - from the table reservation phone call (this week there wasn't even time to say goodbye), to being shown to the table, to placing the bowls on the tables (several were literally slammed down and even slipped a bit) . The obligatory question about how the guests like it and whether everything is OK is also saved here. It's obviously a matter of quickly "processing" the guests, which means that friendliness and cosiness are completely lost. • The location is neither authentically Japanese nor particularly lovingly furnished, but rather functional. We would always recommend getting a table in the winter garden. Finally, a tip for everyone who wants to try the Japanese house: For dessert, be sure to choose the delicious ice cream with sesame or green tea flavor!

Ambience like a train station, very loud, the table top of the table we were sitting at was broken so you could see the chipboard inside. Wondering how to keep it hygienically clean. The food was ok, mostly tasty, the orders were served quickly but chaotically. Price performance is actually too expensive.

Here you get good portions of Japanese dishes. Sushi is recommended and always very fresh. Warm dishes are also delicious. If you want to pick up, you can give the numbers of the courts by phone or use a pad on site and write down the items you want to take with you. Chopsticks, wasabi and ginger are always sufficient. So far we haven't had any nasty surprises and the takeaway orders have always been flawless.

Wow, you really can't beat the unfriendliness. You are served food like a street dog is thrown a bone - that's not possible. Lunch now costs €18 and the offering is simply too meager for that. We won't be coming back again.

Have been here very often. Unfortunately it is now very expensive. I miss the almost €18 it previously cost, but the Japan House can't help it. Actually very tasty food, but unfortunately it has deteriorated significantly over time.

The concept doesn't work with more than 6 people. It is ordered via tablet. Three small dishes per person per process and then the ordering process is blocked for a few minutes. The waitress then places the many small plates on the table for all the guests. Now the searching and continuous passing on begins. It's hard to think about eating.

Not recommended, especially with several people! We always had to wait for a long time, were put off in an unfriendly manner and something was often forgotten. Some of them still didn't go home full, after 2 hours things were still missing. Staff are obviously completely overwhelmed with this system, the operators fill the house to the last corner and then fail to provide adequate service. “It’s so full that you have to wait.” It's stuffy, loud and warm. Not recommended at all for €30 and very high drink prices! When I tried to talk to someone about it and express that we were dissatisfied, I was very rudely reprimanded, "People still come to eat regardless of whether you say it was bad" etc. True, but not us. We were not accommodated and, mind you, with a bill of over €600, we were treated so unprofessionally and cheekily, as a potential guest you should know that! Preferably zero stars!

We dined there on a Saturday with a large group. Unfortunately, many dishes were not served at all or only after a very long wait. We spoke to the staff several times in a friendly manner. However, the answer “it is very full and then you just have to wait” is not acceptable - at a price of p.p. 30€ excluding drinks Loveless atmosphere, very bad air and a very high volume. The Japan House is always busy so it is advisable to reserve a table. There are free parking spaces directly in front of the building. The somewhat bland and cheap-looking atmosphere isn't exactly comfortable and it's always a bit noisy due to the many guests. But that fades into the background as soon as you get the food. No matter whether sushi, noodles, fried main and side dishes. From sashimi to salad to dessert, everything here is very tasty and of top quality. You can order food and drinks in a modern and uncomplicated way using a Samsung tablet. The food is served very friendly and quickly. Ordering via tablet is also fun in a group and encourages people to try things out and share. Conclusion: the Japan House is not necessarily the first choice for a romantic evening for two. Highly recommended for a sociable evening with family or friends with excellent food and good value for money! We come here regularly!

We are regular guests at the Japan House because we are absolute sushi fans. We have been to many other sushi restaurants in other cities and countries and we always look forward to going to Japanhaus again. Except for one restaurant in Pompeii, which was also good, the Japan House is by far the best. The concept of ordering via iPad with several rounds of all you can eat is great. The quality and craftsmanship of the sushi was very good and tasty. The selection is plentiful and is enough for us because we don't eat all the things with mayonnaise and/or cream cheese (which there is a lot of in other restaurants). I try the miso soup everywhere and here too I always find that the one in the Japanese house is the tastiest. Be sure to try salmon salad or tuna salad, the dressing is unique. The employees are always very friendly and the service is quick. You can park right in front of the house, it can get tight on weekends, but we always got a parking space. The two of us almost always go without a reservation, but on the weekend or with several people I would call ahead.

Food's always good, staff is super friendly and All You Can Eat Sushi for around 30€ is a good deal. They've got a nice variety of sushi, tempura and similar stuff to choose from. Drinks are extra but relatively fairly priced. Definitely the go-to Sushi experience in the area.

You can choose 5 dishes per round and person using a tablet. The food is freshly prepared and served quickly. The friendly owners and their team take good care of their guests, so we always feel comfortable. I've had several previous owners in the old half-timbered house who unfortunately didn't last, so I'm very happy that the Japanese house was able to establish itself and is obviously doing so well. There has been a lot of upgrades since it opened and the kitchen is constantly improving. We always enjoy coming here.

Being Sunday and fully booked, staff would be tired but A smile on staff’s face would add to the experience. Lots of variety for vegetarian too. Small portions avoid wastage and good to taste all varieties. Loved the place and will surely visit again.

Here you can enjoy Asian cuisine in “all you can eat” mode for 2 hours and order via tablet. This means that anyone can reorder at any time of their choice (time limit for food orders after 5 pieces, but no “hurdle” until the food is eaten) - drinks can be ordered at any time. The staff is careful and quick, but speaks very little. There are many parking spaces in front of the house (also on the other side of the street). When the weather is nice you can sit outside very well. Overall all good!

Pretty inconspicuous from the outside but really good on the inside. The Japan House is in an old half-timbered house and is not externally recognizable as a sushi restaurant. Inside it is rustic and rather functional. You order food from trays. Every 10 minutes you can order 5 dishes per participant, which will gradually be brought to the table. The waiting time varies quite a bit. Depending on how full the restaurant is. The food is good. There is nothing wrong with the quality of the dishes and the selection is great. In the evening there is even more choice of dishes than at lunchtime but the price is also higher. We have always been happy with the Japan House for many years. The employees are nice and accommodating. You can pay in cash or with EC card. In summer you can eat in the large garden. There are parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant, behind the house or on the opposite side of the street. Bus number 260 also stops directly in front of the restaurant.

The ambience is rather sparse and a new coat of paint would be beneficial. The food comes quickly in clear portions. This makes it easy to try different dishes. The staff is friendly and on the ball. All in all, worth a visit/try!

The food was delicious and there was a large selection. However, you have to say that the prices are VERY high. 29.99 for an adult is quite a lot of money. In other restaurants you pay as much for a steak or something similar and then feel just as full as after 2-3 rounds of ordering in the Japanese house. I also think that you have to pay an additional €1 per piece for the mochi ice cream, even if it is delicious. So if you can eat a LOT and like good Japanese/Asian food, this is the place for you.

Ist das einzige Restaurant das mich dazu bewegt hat es mehrfach im Jahr zu besuchen. Perfekt wenn man ruhig wss essen gehen will. Leider hat hier und da ds essen die Angewohnheit viel Salz abbekommen zu haben.

Qualität hat nachgelassen. Wir waren in den letzten Jahren unregelmäßig an und zu mal hier zum Essen. Der letzte Besuch wird jedoch erst mal der vorerst letzte gewesen sein. Die Qualität hat nachgelassen. Gerichte, die vormals gut waren, waren diesmal kaum essbar. Warme Gerichte wurden lauwarm oder kalt serviert. Teilweise war nicht erkennbar, was serviert wurde, da das Aussehen der servierten Gerichte von denen im "Katalog" sehr abweicht. Das wäre tolerierbar, wenn incl. einem Getränk pro Person nicht über 30 EUR, sondern vielleicht nur 20 EUR verlangt würden.

Das Japanhaus ist in einem alten Fachwerkhaus. Bestellt (all you can eat) wird über ein Tablet (-find ich super, man sieht auch Fotos vom Essen), es gibt sehr viel Auswahl. Dazu hat man 2 Std. Zeit. Das Essen kommt schnell und ist so Mega lecker 🥰👍🏻 Der Service ist o.k. Essen und Getränke werden auf den Tisch gestellt, geredet wird kaum. Was ich nicht schlimm empfunden habe. Kostenlose Parkplätze sind genügend vorhanden. Man sollte ggf. vorher anrufen oder reservieren. Ich würde jedenfalls zum Essen definitiv wieder kommen.
