Very nice beer garden with a view of the Rhine. A fantastic location. Very friendly staff. We stopped by for cake and coffee. The food didn't blow us away.

We were there late on a Saturday afternoon. The beer garden and beach area were sparsely attended. But there was trash lying around in the beach area, and glasses and plates were still lying around in several places. Even though it wasn't busy, we had to search for a seat. It took a long time for us to place our drink order. Drinks weren't brought exactly promptly either. But none of the waiters who were with us felt it necessary to clear away our empty glasses and plates. When paying, we pointed out the extremely unclean condition. Instead of reacting, they simply referred the staff to their colleagues. That's not something you do. Criticism isn't expressed in front of the guests, but rather internally. We will definitely not go there again.

On our first visit around midday – on a very warm day – we immediately found a good seat outside. The service started promisingly: A friendly and humorous waitress came to us promptly and took our drink order. The drinks were served quickly and were pleasantly chilled – perfect for the summer temperatures. We ordered our food at the front counter. Unfortunately, the employee there seemed a bit unfriendly and abrupt, which slightly dampened the positive first impression. The coleslaw obviously came from a bucket, as did the potato salad – which shouldn't normally be a problem. However, my coleslaw was very watery, apparently not properly drained. That was a shame and could have been avoided. The grilled meat, on the other hand, was excellent – ​​well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. The potato salad also tasted perfectly fine and went well with the dish. Overall, it was a successful visit: We were comfortably seated, received friendly service (with a few minor reservations at the food counter), and had cool drinks and good grilled meat. Highly recommended for a casual visit in summer weather – with some room for improvement in the side dishes.

You can choose whatever you want. Whether you want to go to the ice cream parlor, the beer garden, or the beach bar. Everything's right next to each other, so there's something for everyone. Since we only had drinks, I can't comment on the food.

We were there in the evening and wanted to have another beer on this hot day. As we sat down, the friendly waitress came over and politely informed us that they were about to close and we could only place one order. At that point, it was about 8:50 p.m., and according to Google, opening hours are 10 p.m. We received our drinks and figured we could at least enjoy them in peace. Well, we paid the bill without the staff!!! Everything closed at 9:10 p.m. and everything was cleared away, so that as a guest, you feel compelled to leave. We'd like to try it again, if it's a bit earlier. The experience there wasn't so great. My understanding is that they're open, they announce the last round at 9:50 p.m. All guests are served until 10:10 p.m. (if it's busy, so there are more than six people) and then they clean up, but they don't chase everyone out so they can leave at 10 p.m. That's not service!!!

Nice team that does a really great job, especially when it's full when the weather is nice. And a short chat is also possible. Spent my wife's birthday there with coffee and cake. Always happy to come by.

We arrived at 8:45 p.m. (weekend, summer) to have a drink. The online booking states that the beer garden closes at 10:00 p.m. Unfortunately, we were turned away, saying it was no longer busy. Other guests who were already seated and wanted to order more were also asked to leave. Poor service. Absolutely disappointing.

If the online opening hours are until 10 p.m., it's really annoying when you're turned away at 8:30 p.m. with the message "last round is already over." It's simply frustrating when you've driven there with friends.

We were out cycling and spontaneously stopped in. A good, fast-paced beer garden with friendly staff.

The Amarena sundae contained neither Amarena cherries (instead sour cherries from a jar) nor Amarena sauce!

A beer garden by the ferry from Hitdorf to Cologne Langel. A simple beer garden atmosphere. A good selection of beers. Fast food from the snack bar without waiter service. Drinks are served at your table. This is a great place for a quick break with a cold drink and a snack after a walk along the Rhine. For a longer stay, it's too cramped and not particularly appealing.

Nice surroundings but restaurant and beer garden far too crowded on Sunday. There were 15 men at a table on the terrace who were very loud and almost all of them were smoking, even though they were eating at neighboring tables. Ruthless!!!

Waren hier kürzlich mit ein paar Freunden, die Auswahl der Biere ist wirklich gut gelungen, es gibt teilweise Bier welches man nur aus dem Urlaub kennt. The food is also delicious and the atmosphere and the view of the water round everything off. Highly recommended!

Ordered iced coffee and. CAPappucino with cream, after 20 minutes they asked again what was ordered. The iced coffee was made without cold coffee. Cream from a can. It's better to wait until the beer garden is open again.

It's always nice to sit there. Whether with or without children. You have a beautiful view of the Rhine. There is a playground right there. When the beer garden is open, it's worth ordering something from the grill there!

What a beautiful place. When the weather is nice, sit outside here and look at the Rhine. Enjoy delicious things while doing it. The staff is very nice. Always my pleasure.

Rustic ambience with a view of the Rhine, it was well attended for March but it certainly fills up quickly in the summer. We ate waffles with cherry ice cream and cream and an ice cream sundae and were very satisfied. There was also enough parking space.

I can't say much yet. Was just there today for some hot chocolate. Great view directly over the Rhine, chocolate was good. Service nice. 3.50 for a white chocolate is also totally ok. Next time the food will be tested.

Incredible beer list; 14 varieties on tap plus numerous bottled beers at moderate prices. The staff was friendly and quick, there is a snack (no special selection for vegetarians, but the fries were tasty) and ice cream. An ideal destination for beer enthusiasts and families (playground right next door). Addendum, March 15, 2025: Not a good idea to switch to individual portions in plastic packets for ketchup and mayo. Special fries with these tiny (17ml?) portions are a joke. It is better to increase the price than to skimp at the expense of guests and the environment; You don't do that with beer either.

You don't necessarily go here for the cuisine. We go there more for the ambience and the view. You can't go wrong with the drinks. The simple dishes we tried weren't a sensation, as some were frozen, but still not bad. We come back regularly.

After half an hour, despite two requests, no waitress came to take the order. An attempt to order at the counter was rejected. At some point we got tired of waiting and went on hungry and thirsty.

A dirty cup is served to me as marbled. The dirt could be scraped off. The waitress patted the cup all around with her fingers and asked seriously if I wanted to drink more. Disgusting.

A questionable concept I recently visited the playground next to the beer garden and was surprised at the situation there. The smell of old, rancid fat hangs in the air, especially within about 50 meters of the beer garden. You could almost think that the frying fat would be refilled rather than actually changed. What surprises me even more is the decision to place a beer consumption facility right next to a children's playground. Shouldn't one be a role model for children instead of openly indulging in one's vice? It would be desirable if more consideration was given to the well-being of children - both in terms of air quality and behavior.

Negatives: Unfortunately, half of what was listed on the menu didn't actually exist. Unfortunately, the sausage that was offered was not tasty at all. Cheap sausage from some discount store, it definitely tasted like anything other than bratwurst. Positive: I think the ambience and location are great 👍🏼 Conclusion: Should a new tenant be found with a little more knowledge. The beer garden could actually be a blast. So definitely a flop 👎

It's going ok , Attentive service is nice but intrusive is annoying. As soon as you sit down, an order is requested. Then again and again, seemingly every 15 minutes, the waiter comes by and asks for new orders. The coffee was so-so, the wine spritzer was okay Terrace and interior need renovation. The menu was kept quite slim. As an ice cream parlor, the only ice cream from Mövenpick is a no go for me

Nice on the ferry on the Rhine. On nice days there is always something going on there. I can't say anything about the food as I didn't eat it.

We came here a few weeks ago after a short walk along the banks of the Rhein. My mother was in a wheel chair but we didn't find it took difficult to find a place for us to sit comfortably even though the place was quite busy. We had chosen a table in the beer garden section so the young man who came to serve us was happy to bring us our beers but he informed us that we'd have to go into the cafe to order coffee. Hmm... Anyway the draft Andechs Helles and Belgian Leffe blond beers were excellent. As the beer kicked in so did the temptation to try some of the sausages that were being grilled nearby. So here, you have to separately go to the lady doing the grilling and from whom I ordered a curry wurst with pommes and a Krakauer in a bread roll. Delicious. Whilst I was away getting the food a kind neighbouring customer had taken it upon himself to go & get my mother a coffee. How kind.

I ordered a turkey steak with fries (€8.30). Considering that everything is TK, the waiting time was a bit long and there wasn't much going on. There was a large water (€4.20) and Pina Colada (€6.50) to drink. Waiting time here is very long. Only beer comes directly. The colada mainly tastes like cheap alcohol, but there's a lot in it. One was enough for me. Sitting on the Rhine is nice, but a clear view of the Rhine would be even nicer. For €19 I didn't really get full, but it was close.

We really enjoy being there. My husband loves the beef sausage there. The location is really beautifully located directly on the Rhine. We always combine a visit there with a walk. For families with children, there is a playground right next to the restaurant.

Sitting on the terrace by the Rhine is always nice. Unfortunately, it's an absolute no-go if you order a latte macchiato with Amaretto syrup (emphasis on syrup) and then have real Amaretto in it. I was there in the car and thank God I enjoyed it straight away.

I enjoyed the stay. The food is good for self-pickers and despite the limited offerings. The drinks are brought. This happens surprisingly quickly. Thanks to the nice and friendly staff.

Unfortunately, the best years seem to have been over for a while. The service was very friendly, but the food was more than simple.

The ice cream was delicious, you can sit comfortably on the terrace with a beautiful view of the Rhine. Service was very mixed, the first waitress was friendly, the second extremely annoyed. There was probably trouble with the previous customer, she came to our table cursing and wasn't friendly anymore either. You don't actually need anything like that as a guest.
