Worse restaurant and pathetic atmosphere and bad food. Usually i am fond of Indian restaurants but this one was one of the worse i visited in Germany.

Great quality food, tasted fresh. Had palak paneer, bhindi masala, tandoor roti and mixed pakora. Mixed pakora are a can’t miss - delicious, crispy and nice seasoning.

Worst restaurant experience I’ve had in Germany. I usually enjoy promoting Indian restaurants for their great taste and atmosphere, but this place was the complete opposite. The food was disappointing, and the flavors were far below expectations. The Mango Lassi tasted more like chaas and was overly sweet. They charged €6.50 per glass for that, and honestly, I hesitated to even pay for such a poor drink. The atmosphere was dull and uninviting. I actually felt like leaving the moment I walked in, but I decided to give it a chance unfortunately, that was a mistake. The entire experience felt overpriced considering the service, the food quality, and the overall ambience. The 5 star ratings are fake, and they are trying to manipulate the ratings but won’t do anything to improve the taste, service and experience. Total Shit.

Very tasty Indian food served with a warm and friendly service. Very reasonable prices compared to the quality and quantity of the food. The best part of this restaurant is that one feels like visiting a friend and being entertained in their living room.

For lunch, I ordered the vegetarian dish (cheese, spinach, and rice): very tasty in a friendly atmosphere, and very good value for money. It's great to have discovered this restaurant near the cathedral.

Bad Experience. The owner was really drunk and smokes near the entrance all the time. Employees were also drinking in between. The food is okay. Washroom is not that much hygienic. We didn't like the attitude of employee and owner.

Excellent Indian taste and good Hospitality

To rate a restaurant good, either the service has to be good, or the food. When asked for a good chicken curry suggestion, we were given stark "why so many questions?" response. The food poor, and when we informed the waiter, we got an adamant response. I would rather eat from a person who doesn't know how to cook and I can assure you that it will still be better than this ☺️

Tried Indian food for the first time in our life, lamb butter.....surprisingly good 👍 ☺️ the service is also very friendly and attentive, we were satisfied and would gladly come back.

Deserves a praise for what they serve, real quality Indian spice and food. The owner was present when I was dining and he’s dedicated in providing authentic Indian food. I had lamb vindaloo. Delicious and spicy 😋.

0.5 stars if its an option and thats for changing my seat twice. First of all Nothing looks inside as Jaipur and its quite messy. I tend to promote always Indian restaurants across europe but this one doesn’t really deserve.

Very old and tired looking restaurant - BUT the food we got was wonderful, Best juicy Tandoori chicken we've had from around the world. Lamb Vindaloo was tender and nice, food came in a insulated copper bowl with a little burner underneath, which looks good and keeps the sauce and rice hot for a long time... The naan was ok... A little dencer than I'm used to, more like a Lebanese flat bread in texture, still ok to eat.. Needs a makeover though, a bit dirty due to the type of furnishings of the decor and years of operation, but food was good

The restaurant was very nice and hygienic, I liked that. However, I personally found the food to be a bit overly seasoned. My wife and children, however, enjoyed it very much. The team was very friendly and accommodating. Overall it was a pleasant visit. Taste is of course subjective, and perhaps I would try a different dish next time. In any case, the atmosphere was pleasant. We'd love to come back.

Indians particularly Gujaraties always love vegetarian indian dishes and a far away place Europe you get your testy food dishes then it's wow experience and in typical Indian atmosphere and environment, in one's own language, namaste welcome what more we wants. We enjoyed full dish lunch with sweet. Pass more than hour . Great experience. Tiger we can't forget.

Los indios en particular Gujaraties siempre aman los platos vegetarianos de la India y un lugar lejano de Europa se obtienen sus platos de comida de prueba, entonces es una experiencia sorprendente y en el ambiente típico de la India y el medio ambiente, en el propio idioma, namaste bienvenida a lo que más queremos. So today was one of those days were I regretted spending hard earned money at one of the worst indian restaurants i’ve been to. So to began with, It was hard to understand the service staff as all of them mumbled rather than speaking clearly, secondly on the menu they had a chef’s recommendation platter with a few items mentioned for about 26 euros, Me and my wife thought that it’ll probably be for 2 people, so we asked the lady and she confirmed it as well that yes you can share. So now our order came and I was surprised seeing the quantity of each item , the quantity was sort of like when you give taste test samples for free. And the taste was bland and the tandoori chicken was burned as well. and I also had to remind them that there were two more items in the platter. So to summarise our amazing trip to köln was ruined by a mediocre dinner.

This is the worst Indian restaurant to visit. The owner is extremely rude, and none of the staff in the restaurant have polite manners for speaking or greeting customers. On top of that, the food was pathetic, and they practice discrimination, which I hate the most. I would never recommend anyone to go to this restaurant.

I do not k know where to begin. Amaaaazing food. I guess all these years I have been in the EU, without a doubt this was one of the best desi food I had. We had the tandoori mix grill. Serving size was good. It was more than enough for two people. The owner is a very nice guy. Really appreciate the talk to him. Very hospitable. One thing, service could have been better.

To avoid making a really long review I am going to summarize the situation I had with my family. The samosas we ordered were actually rotten resulting in my mom being very sick. The service was DEVSATINGLY slow. The restaurant at the moment wasn't very crowded with barely 3 table full *including us* with an average of 3-4 people. Nevertheless, the restaurant took an hour to get the plates ready for the starter and nearly another 35-45 minutes to serve the starter. However, if your in the restaurant and it's too late I would consider ordering something from the meat if you are not a vegetarian as the cooks only made the non-vegetarian option horrendously.

We felt absolutely comfortable. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and shows absolute attention to detail. The food was completely delicious and very suitable for vegetarians (large selection) The employees are also very nice, so an absolute recommendation from me!

It was many years ago very good, sadly it was very disappointing, the chicken (I assume had been cooked then frozen then reheated) the meal tasted more like it come from a tin. The naan was very good!

Very disappointing, haven't visited for a number of years (having not been in Cologne for a number of years). Dish was thin and the chicken seemed to have been pre-cooked sometime in the past (reminded me of tinned curry), naan was good. Service slow (considering there was only three tables in use).

This place used to be good. So went there after a long time. Worst indian food i had in Germany. Was there on 15.12.2023, around 21:00. Odered Kadai chicken and Nan. What they served had nothing to do with Kadai. And looked very old. When they asked, I gave them the above feedback. They then brought new curry. But the damage was already done. Struggled with severe diarrhoea the whole night! Filthy place!

Das Essen ist ganz gut, der Service ist nett, aber unbeholfen, unaufmerksam und lustlos. Alle Getränke waren waren warm (Bier, Softgetränke, Wasser) und das im Sommer. Nach der Bestellung müssten wir über eine Stunde auf das Essen warten und dann kam nur die Hälfte, weil die restlichen Bestellungen ausverkauft waren, ist dem Service/Küche erst aufgefallen ist, als das Essen auf dem Tisch kam und man nachgefragt hat. Die Rechnung war komplett falsch aufgestellt, sowas geht gar nicht. Fazit: Nicht nochmal

Sir, Owing to the very poor service that I received on the 12th of May 2023 at your restaurant, Good Food Cafe, I wish to air my complaints. I was unhappy with the staff's attitude and also the quality of the food. Firstly, the staff portrayed a large amount of incompetence and a bad attitude towards customers.

Authentische indische Küche aus der Region Jaipur. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich und erklärt sein Kochkonzept gerne. Er ist seit 29 Jahren mit dem Restaurant in Köln und kocht authentische indische Hausmannskost. Ein sehr fein-balancierter Geschmack. Eines der besten indischen Restaurants in Köln.

Der Chef ist extrem nett und die Kellner*innen auch. Das Essen echt toll und die Stimmung war schön. Echt ein tolles und entspanntes Restaurant.

Den einen Stern bekommt lediglich der Koch, da das Essen wirklich gut war. Darüber hinaus sind wir jedoch noch nie so unfreundlich behandelt worden wie in diesem Lokal. Weder begrüßt, noch verabschiedet, kein einziges Lächeln von der Kellnerin, kein Wort vom Kellner. Es war unfassbar. Dementsprechend unwohl haben wir uns auch gefühlt. Never ever!

Authentic Indian food is hard to get in Germany. This is an exception. Mutton vindaloo was phenomenal.

When it comes to curry we are very fussy and hands down this is the best Indian meal we have had in Europe so far! Highly recommend 👌🏽
