We celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Grill restaurant in the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten. We were assured over the phone that our table would be set, but upon arrival, we immediately noticed that it hadn't been. The first waiter was very friendly and even congratulated us on our anniversary. Shortly after, however, a second waiter arrived and asked us to leave our table. He then proceeded to move our belongings from the table to another one, which is completely unacceptable in a restaurant of this caliber. He explained that the table was reserved for four people and that a mistake had been made. We moved, even though the new table was considerably smaller and in a less desirable location. A little later, however, we saw that only two people were seated at "our" original table. When the restaurant manager later approached us, he explained that there had actually been three guests, but only two had turned up – the second contradictory explanation in a short period of time. ' ... In addition, the restaurant manager spoke almost exclusively to my husband, very quietly and directly using the informal "du" (you), which was completely inappropriate in this situation and in a hotel of this caliber. As "compensation," we were offered a complimentary drink (which was already a free drink). However, this did nothing to improve the unpleasant experience. Being moved from a window seat to a cramped table, receiving contradictory information, being addressed inappropriately—all this despite the fact that it was known we were celebrating our wedding anniversary there. Unfortunately, we felt unwelcome and unappreciated overall. Very disappointing for a hotel of this standard.

Great atmosphere with friendly staff and good food. We'd love to come back.

Such a nice and passionate bartender. He very charmingly explained the design concept of this beautiful restaurant to me today, when there were hardly any guests yet – and you could tell he loves the Fairmont and his work there. Plus the great ambiance and fine drinks – magnificent. Truly five stars. Thank you*

It's been a while since we visited the restaurant. The ambiance, the service, the food, basically everything, was excellent. We enjoyed the evening, and the crepes prepared at our table were the crowning glory. We'd love to come back soon.

Hello, we were at the Grill the weekend before last. It was a birthday present from my friends. We had a very nice seat. My starter, chanterelle risotto, was delicious. My main course consisted of sea bass, parsley potatoes, and a green salad. The fish was very, very tasty, but it had a slightly off flavor. The parsley potatoes I ordered weren't served at the same time as the fish and salad, but were served about four to five minutes later, which I found a bit disappointing. Overall, it was an experience and very good food, with a slight drawback because of the potatoes.

We were in Hamburg on a short family trip. Since we love to eat everything and eat very well, we tried the Grill restaurant. The menu is varied, and all the dishes we tried were spot-on and perfectly prepared. It was also great to see that several dishes were prepared at our table by the very friendly wait staff. For example, we had steak tartare and crêpe Suzette... All four of us really enjoyed it, and we'll definitely be back next time we're in Hamburg.

Great steak and appetizers, skip the pasta.

A visit to "The Grill" restaurant at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten? This should definitely not be a one-time item on your culinary bucket list – on the contrary: It was an all-around extraordinary experience that went far beyond a simple dinner. During the approximately two hours we spent there, we were welcomed with unparalleled warmth and attention. The cuisine: a true masterpiece! Each course was meticulously thought out and perfectly prepared – a delight that bears the hallmarks of a highly professional kitchen team. Many thanks to J.E. And the service? The word "waiter" wouldn't do it justice. What we encountered were true hosts – highly trained restaurant professionals who impressed us with their sensitivity, poise, and genuine passion for their work. We felt in the best of hands from the first to the last minute. Thank you so much for this unforgettable evening on our 11th anniversary – we will definitely be back soon!

We always enjoy visiting the Martini Bar for a delicious drink. The bartenders' recommendations are always a highlight for us. Thanks to Lennart for the great recommendations and excellent service.

Wir gehen seit Jahren in den Grill, wie es bereits unsere Eltern und Grosseltern getan haben. Das Verhältnis von Preis zu Qualität ist nicht mehr in Ordnung! Wasser für über 14 Euro, Ein durchschnittliches Filet für 79 Euro (ohne Beilagen), Cocktails für 38 Euro und jede Beilage extra verrechnet ist völlig überteuert und durch die grundsätzlich freundliche Atmosphere und das schöne Ambiente nicht mehr auszugleichen. Als alte Hamburger Familie rufen wir andere Gäste dazu auf, dies nicht mehr mitzumachen. Mögen Ein-Tages-Touristen das in Kauf nehmen. Eine Hamburger Institution ist das für unseren Geschmack nicht mehr. Used to be the top location in Hamburg. Now overpriced and not worth it, not recommended any more.

Ich übernachtete im Hotel und wollte das Restaurant ausprobieren. Der Service am Tisch war perfekt, der Cocktail vor dem Essen auch dank des sympatischen Barkeeper, eine tolle Einstimmung. Das Essen war ebenfalls ohne Kritikpunkte.

If you want to treat yourself, a visit to the Grill is recommended. It's definitely an upscale and accordingly expensive restaurant, but the service is excellent and the food truly delicious. We were here for our anniversary and had a lovely evening. As the name suggests, the dishes are meat-heavy.

I've eaten at Grill Vier Jahreszeiten several times and have generally been satisfied, but unfortunately, my last visit was disappointing. The service this time left much to be desired: The waitress didn't proactively ask if we wanted anything to drink; we had to ask ourselves. The rest of the service was also lacking in attentiveness. On top of that, there was a long wait for the food, which wasn't communicated. Another problem was the uncomfortably hot restaurant. It was extremely warm, so a functioning air conditioning system would be truly desirable, especially on hot days. It was also disappointing that my polite request to have a small "Happy Anniversary" message written on the dessert (which was done without any problems on a previous visit) was met with a rather negative response. It seemed as if they didn't want to fulfill this request, which is a shame, especially on a special occasion. I hope the restaurant works on these issues, because the quality was better in the past. Perhaps it was just an off day, but unfortunately, experiences like these tend to stick in your mind.

We ate at the Grill. The ambiance is beautiful, but our tartar, prepared at our table, was completely overseasoned. The service left a lot to be desired. It's a shame, I had hoped for more from this restaurant.

Everything is really incredibly good. Every dish I have ordered so far has always been excellent in terms of taste and presentation. The furnishings are incredibly beautiful and elegant, and the various bars invite you to linger. The atmosphere is quiet but luxurious, the guests are always pleasant (the prices are probably selected in advance). My absolute favorite restaurant in Hamburg and possibly even in all of Northern Germany!

Due to a special occasion we treated ourselves to an evening at the grill. And we weren't disappointed. Everything from A to Z, great service, absolutely excellent food and one of the best Crêpe Suzette I've eaten in a long time. It could be that we stop by here again - absolutely recommended!

Man ist schon etwas irritiert….gediegenes Ambiente und vorne steht ein DJ, der für die Musik sorgt. Wir bekamen einen schönen Platz auf der „Empore“ angewiesen und saßen erhöht mit perfektem Ausblick. Der DJ spielte gute Musik „aus meiner Jugend“ in angemessener Lautstärke. Durchaus nicht störend. Die Begrüßung: Jeder vom Service, der uns über den Weg lief, begrüßte uns herzlich. Den ultimativen Wohlfühlfaktor lieferte unsere sehr persönliche Betreuung durch einen Herrn mit „italienischen Wurzeln“. Sehr schöne Empfehlungen, immer ein freundliches Wort auf den Lippen. Sauerteigbrot mit gesalzener Butter als Einstieg. Meine Frau wählte Lachs mit Kartoffelpuffern sowie gegrillten grünen und weißen Spargel, ich nahm Jacobsmuscheln und Hummer Termidor. Alles sehr schmackhaft. Der Kartoffelbrei bei den Jacobsmuscheln hätte eine kleine Prise Salz vertragen können. Der Hummer Termidor mit Kartoffelbrei und Spinat war Schmackofatz vom Feinsten. Der gegrillte Spargel war ebenfalls sehr gut. Als „Dessert“ ließen wir uns Blinis mit „Allerlei“ bringen. Kaviar, fluffige Creme fraiche, Schnittlauch, Zwiebel, Eigelb, Eiweiß….herrlich. Alles abgerundet durch ein Glas Ruinart und eine Flasche Sancerre. Fazit: Ein sehr schönes „Wohlfühl-Gesamtpaket“, vielen Dank für einen sehr schönen „Hamburg-Abschluss“.

The food was very good. The ambience is classic, vintage and beautiful. Unfortunately, service did not meet our expectations. We got a moldy dessert, after which we were offered a free round of desserts - but we were also given a second bottle of Silvaner without asking and poured. Glasses not refilled etc. As I said, everything is negligible when I go out to eat around the corner for 30 euros. I have different expectations in this price segment. I don't just want to pay the rent on the Alster, but I also expect first-class service

Das Essen im Restaurant Grill war ausgezeichnet . Ich war mit meinem Sohn geschäftlich in Hamburg und haben am Abend den Tag im Grill ausklingen lassen . Der Service war ebenfalls exzellent. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Virkelig god service, kommer med vand når glassene er tomme, laver noget af maden foran en, hvilket var virkelig sejt og underholdende at se. Luigi var virkelig en fornøjelse og virkelig sød og rar.

Perfekt für ein Abendessen mit meiner Partnerin. Klassisches Ambiente mit modernen Akzenten und trotzdem warm und einladend durch die gute Beleuchtung. Das Essen war auf höchstem Niveau, was aber am meisten aufgefallen ist, war die tolle Bedienung durch Luigi. Man merkt die über 30 Jahre Zugehörigkeit. Luigi hat uns den Abend so angenehm gemacht, dass wir auf jeden Fall wiederkommen werden. Sehr zu empfehlen!

A simple wow and an experience! Enjoy a perfect dinner at Fairmont Vierjahreszeiten - GRILL. We enjoyed a delicious birthday course menu with a suprise at the end. Our highlights started with salmon tartar with avocado mouse and beef tartar…and we felt in love with the taste. The steak was perfect and on point. The fish of the day was ok. At the we were suprised with a happy birthday and a delicious cake! Enjoy your dinner or lunch next to the fireplace that create an elegant, homely atmosphere and emphasize the harmony of tradition and modernity. It was an to expensive birthday dinner but it was definitly worth it. The service was outstanding xoxo

We went there for a goose meal and it was great! The food is a culinary delight. The staff is excellent and cannot be praised enough. The carving on site and the sommelier's recommendation couldn't have been better. Always attentive and yet reserved, something you rarely find today. Overall, it was another fantastic evening for us. Absolutely recommended and once again the staff and management deserve special praise.

We went there for dinner with friends as part of a stay in Hamburg and really enjoyed the stay. There really is absolutely nothing to complain about here. Starting with the fantastic service, which was always present and yet unobtrusive throughout our stay, to the great food and drinks, each of which deserved its own rating, it was once again a great experience and a great stay. We are already looking forward to our next stay in Hamburg, which will definitely include another evening at the grill. Thank you!!

Tengo muy buenos recuerdos de almuerzos impecables con mis abuelos en el Grill hace siglos. La larga renovación detallada parece apropiada y proporciona un ambiente elegante pero contemporáneo para esta institución de Hamburgo. Reservamos una mesa semanas antes como un viajero individual alojado en las instalaciones. Tienes dos horas para disfrutar de tu comida. Llegué puntual y bienvenido fue amable, profesional y el servicio fue sin pretensiones, lo que es un buen cambio. Steak Tartare como entrante llegó pre-preparado (no al lado de la mesa) con demasiadas alcaparras para este agarrotamiento de la porción y no como se pidió, pero aún así sabroso. La captura del día estaba muy bien preparada y el pescado fue salvado afortunadamente por el camarero antes de que el camarero junior casi asesinase por completo el lenguado de 600 gr mientras intentaba filetearlo por primera vez...?! Los lados eran o un poco demasiado frío y demasiado dulce para mi gusto (ensalada de pepino) o demasiado salado y por desgracia solo tibio para las patatas fritas, pero eso es probablemente estilo a la casa y la combinación lo niveló. Carta de vinos llegó sorprendentemente después del entrante. Después de la cena mientras pagaba le pregunté si la comida se podía envolver en bolsa de perrito y vino / agua se podía llevar a la habitación que estaba de acuerdo. Solo la botella vintage francesa lo hizo después de un tiempo no con el corcho correcto, sin embargo (corcho Riesling alemán en su lugar, vaya figura) , ni el agua ni la bolsa de perro llegaron arriba. Qué fastidio para los sin techo. Nadie dijo gracias / Danke / adiós / tschuess o Auf Wiedersehen cuando me fui después de 75 minutos. Todavía disfruté del vino una vez que llegó a mi habitación :) .

Absolute Spitzenklasse! Speisen sind qualitativ absolute Spitzenklasse. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und entspricht dem Anspruch des Restaurants. Die Steaks sind ein Traum! Die Hummersuppe muss man probieren! Super lecker.

The service is of course something special here compared to a normal restaurant. The waiter was very nice, water was poured without being asked, a side table was set up for the handbag and, and, and... It's a nice atmosphere here, relatively quiet so you can have a good conversation. Depending on what you order, I actually find the prices really reasonable for a special evening here. The food was of course also very tasty, the sauce was very aromatic and the turkey meat was not dry and had a crispy skin on the outside. If you're looking for something special, I would definitely consider the GRILL again!

Das war leider eine Enttäuschung :( Mein Mann und ich wollten zu meinem Geburtstag im Grill einen schönen Abend verbringen. Die Frau am Empfang war sehr freundlich und gratulierte mir nett und sagte: ich führe sie nun zu ihrem gewählten Tisch… Aber wir gingen daran vorbei! Der vorreservierte Tisch war leider vergeben. Das saß ein anderes Paar! Den von mir bestellten Weißwein habe ich nicht bekommen, stattdessen, wurde mir ein anderer Wein gebracht ohne mich zu informieren. Mit der Begründung, dass der gerade offen ist!! Die Vorspeisen kamen wie bestellt. Meine Hauptspeise, Wolfsbarsch Filet mit Champagner Schaum, war ein dickliche Soße, langweilig und im gesamten eine herzlose Offenbarung. Hinzu wurde mir die falsche Beilage serviert! Auch wurde meine Frage, ob es dazu frische Trüffel gibt, nicht beantwortet obwohl der Kellner fragen wollte. Wir hatten vor dem Abendessen Getränke in der Wohnhalle vom Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten. Der Bellini für 29€ pro Glas ist auch nicht besonders schmackhaft und zu teuer! Auch dort war die Bedienung überlastet obwohl es nicht voll war.

Absolut enttäuschend! Wir hatten unsere Freunde, die nicht in HH wohnen dort eingeladen, der Abend war mir überaus peinlich! Zunächst war unser Tisch zur vereinbarten Zeit nicht fertig, wir wurden gebeten so lange an der Bar zu warten. Problem: wir kamen nicht in die Bar, da diese bereits maximal ausgelastet war. Somit drückten wir uns 30 min im Durchgang zu Bar rum. Die Qualität das Speisen war maximal durchschnittlich und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis entbehrt jeder Grundlage! Das Angebot der Speisen wird in anderen Restaurants, in denen vergleichbare Preise zu zahlen sind, geschmacklich besser und liebevoller präsentiert. Der Service war freundlich aber sichtlich gestresst, da das Restaurant komplett ausgelastet war. Dafür gibt es den 2. Stern. Meine Empfehlung: einfach nach der Drehtür zur Hotellobby nach rechts ins Haerlin abbiegen, dort werden alle Erwartungen übertroffen!!

Really a beautiful place. The service was top notch, the food was fantastic. It really is a place you should visit. We had booked a table and got to sit in the living room with the fine wallpaper. We both got a delicious steak, with truffle fries and béarnaise (really delicious sauce). For dessert we had creme brulee and pavlova. 2 really good desserts.

Wie immer war unser Pre-Christmas-Dinner wunderschön. Nicht nur stimmt einen das weihnachtliche Ambiente dieses Hotels ein, nein auch der Grill hat seit der kompletten Renovierung einen ganz besonderen Zauber. Was neben der perfekten Speisekarte hervorzuheben ist, ist der ganz besondere Service. Ich kennen nur ganz, ganz wenige Restaurants, die so ein so perfekt geschultes, erstklassiges Personal haben, welches einem regelrecht den Aufenthalt verzaubert.

Yesterday evening we had the pleasure of visiting the “Grill” restaurant in the renowned Hotel Vier Saisonn in Hamburg. We were impressed by the stylish ambience and the exquisite cuisine. We would particularly like to highlight the lobster cocktail that was served as an appetizer. The freshness and sophistication of this dish were impressive. For the main course we chose the beef fillet, accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes, aromatic noble mushrooms and delicious bacon-Brussels sprouts. Every component was perfectly prepared and harmonized wonderfully with each other. The crowning finale was the Crêpe Suzette prepared at the table. This classic dessert was presented with great finesse and was a real treat. A special thank you goes to Ms. Tamara Weilguni, whose perfect service expertise, friendliness and optimal advice made the evening unforgettable. Her smile and professionalism contributed greatly to this wonderful experience. We are already looking forward to our next visit and can warmly recommend the “Grill” at the Hotel Vier Saisonn. A place where warmth, perfect service and culinary excellence come together.

Enjoyed good shrimp cocktail and a great fillet of beef with gratin

We were guests at the hotel and wanted to take this opportunity to try out the Grill restaurant again. The last time we were there was about 2 years ago. In summary, the conclusion is rather disappointing, which is due to various circumstances: There are only two services, either at 6pm or 8.30pm. This gives the guest very little flexibility in terms of time. Due to our arrival in the evening we had to decide on 8.30 p.m. We still asked, but the table wasn't available beforehand. The late seating meant that we received our main course at around 10:15 p.m. Definitely too late for us and we couldn't really enjoy the sole anymore. Ordering the champagne took quite a long time because half the bottle was apparently not available. They then charged for 4 glasses instead, which ended up being more expensive than the bottle we wanted. It's a detail, but still a bit jarring (considering the overall experience). Side note: To our astonishment, we saw someone trying to bring the half bottle we wanted and then disappearing halfway there. When ordering the appetizer, I asked how big the lobster roll was. We then received scallop gratin instead. When I pointed out that we had ordered the lobster rolls, the answer was that we said scallops. Something you shouldn't answer in service (even if the guest is actually wrong, which was definitely not the case with us) . 1/2 lobster, which we also ordered as a starter, is clearly overpriced. Shrimp cocktail and lobster bisque were very good. The sole for the main course was excellent. One of the inserts wasn't right, but we decided not to replace it. Unsightly: unfortunately there was still a hair in the sole plate. Atmosphere: We generally like the restaurant and the Martini Bar very much. The furnishings look tasteful and have style. The martinis were very good. Unsightly: there was apparently a wedding that evening. We heard loud music and screaming behind us (the room was separated by a door), music from the DJ was coming from the front. That reduced the ambience significantly. And at more than 500 euros for dinner for two, you can expect certain things to be impeccable. Although the food was excellent, we probably won't be returning for dinner.

As a family, we have been visiting the Four Seasons Hotel on and off for 15 years and the grill is one of the main reasons why. The whole team is very friendly and creates a very pleasant atmosphere. The renovation last year further developed the old charm. As a starter you can recommend the lobster rolls, the scallops and the beef consommé. The main courses Wiener Schnitzel, Saison Burger and the chicken breast are all very tasty. On our last visit we tried the Oldenburg Land Duck and that was definitely the right decision. Together with the presentation at the table and the delicious side dishes, it was a great experience. Homemade ice cream is recommended for dessert. A special highlight is Crêpe Suzette, which is flambéed at the table. There are exclusive pralines from Sprüngli to accompany your coffee. We are already looking forward to our next visit to the grill!

Second visit within this week. Nice and professional service and you feel like you're in good hands. Very nice and high-quality ambience, where everything fits well in terms of color and style. The employees' clothing is also very selected and attractive. The food, as expected, was great and I have nothing to complain about, except that the Wiener Schnitzel could have had a few more fried potatoes.😜😊 Thank you and see you soon.

Hemos reservado una mesa para celebrar mi cumpleaños y nos quedamos muy decepcionados. Soy miembro del Fairmont President Club, un estatus que hay que ganar y debo admitir que nunca he tenido una experiencia tan pobre en ningún hotel Fairmont en el mundo. Para empezar, la respuesta que he recibido a mi pregunta de por qué servimos el champán más pequeño entre los invitados que nos rodeaban, fue que eran invitados muy especiales, que aparentemente no éramos especiales. La siguiente decepción fue cuando pedimos una copa de sauterne con nuestros desiertos, y el servidor vertió un líquido de color burdeos que claramente no era lo que hemos pedido. Colocó estratégicamente la botella con la etiqueta lejos de nosotros y cuando se le pidió que mostrara lo que había vertido, declaró que el bar no tiene sauterne y quería que probara lo que fuera que ya había vertido. Sin disculpas, sin comunicación con respecto a su decisión, y el gerente después de que me quejé nunca lo había reemplazado. Nadie reconoció mi cumpleaños y en general la experiencia fue bastante pobre. Llamé al día siguiente para hablar con el gerente del hotel y quienquiera que fuera la mujer que me llamó, carecía de cualquier capacidad de resolución de problemas, y no era con quien solicité hablar. La comida también era mediocre, el termidor de langosta se dibujaba en salsa bechamel y espinacas, rellenos baratos, que dominaban totalmente el sabor de la langosta. Creo que 2 estrellas son más apropiadas, el hotel es hermoso, por lo tanto 3 estrellas.

Great food, great drinks, really top service - really thank you for the evening. Unfortunately, shocking moments - highest number of mice on table 4 at the same time. The staff handled it excellently, but not so great if you were disturbed…

The ‘Grill’ used to be an art deco masterpiece! Since its renovation however, it transformed into an ‘Instagram’ show off place, overloaded with decoration - very nouveau riche. The worst thing is the introduction of different seating times, making it more of a volume business, rather than allowing guests to enjoy an unforgettable night as it used to be. Really sad to see the changes, but maybe as a 40 year old, I’m not the target group anymore.

Anyone who has been here and doesn't know how to appreciate and enjoy it is lost. Classic grill menu in the best possible sense, prepared to the point with great attention to detail, the highest quality, opulent wine list, absolutely seductive the newly designed boudoir: a true work of art has been created here. Wer hier war und es nicht zu schätzen und genießen weiß, ist verloren. In allerbesten Sinne klassisches Grill - Menü, mit großer Aufmerksamkeit zum Detail auf den Punkt zubereitet, allerhöchste Qualität, opulente Weinkarte, absolut verführerisch das neu gestaltete Boudoir: Hier ist ein wahres Gesamtkunstwerk entstanden. Wir danken allen, insbesondere vom aufmerksamen und entspannten Service, aber auch den innenarchitektonischen Genies dieses Raumes, pariserische Eleganz, Leichtigkeit des Südens in die Hansestadt transferiert. Einmalig!

The receptionist was very friendly and we immediately felt very comfortable. The starter was excellent, although one might think about serving a small potato pancake more with three salmon rolls. The steak was of very good quality and comparable to Theo's in preparation and taste. The only problem was that the steak was extremely salty and therefore didn't taste good. It was just barely edible. When the waiter came and asked how it tasted, I said it was too salty, but didn't ask for another one since I had already eaten half of it. I thought it was a shame that the waiter didn't respond. Looking back, I don't know why I ate the steak even though I wasn't satisfied. But something like that shouldn't have happened in a restaurant in this price range. All in all, it was still a nice evening. Finally, I would recommend differentiating yourself more clearly from Theo's. Of course the interior is much nicer, but the menu is missing something special, such as Beef Wellington. Something that is not available in other restaurants.

Mi servidor Nicholas era muy atento y hablador y tuvimos una gran conversación y me recomendó algunas otras cosas para visitar en Hamburgo. Since the very elegant restaurant was located in our hotel, we visited it at lunchtime and enjoyed an excellent lunch. All of the food we ate was excellent. Meat and fish were top. All employees are very respectful, always polite and helpful. As is the case in the entire hotel. We had a very nice afternoon. Absolutely recommended.

I was passing by the street when I turned around and saw the Hotel and looked for information and it said Restaurante Grill, I entered and I loved the food, the service and a charming Spanish woman who served us in our Spanish language. I felt well cared for.

Very relaxed atmosphere, very lovely hosts and delicious food. There are several very good bars in the building. There is also creative experimentation with great attention to detail! :)

We visited the Grill while staying at Vier Jahreszeiten and we were not disappointed! The service was absolutely spectacular, and our waiter was great at conversing with us and creating an amazing experience. The Crepes Suzette is for sure recommended, great show! 5/5

Food Quality is outstanding! The Design and atmosphere reminds on The Great Gatsby. You Can See and feel the good team work and passion they have in their work attitude.

Great experience. The staff was very nice and the food is excellent! Also perfect view! We loved the lobster and the beef tar tar. Also the caviar can be very much recommended. The service is absolutely fantastic since everyone is very attentive and friendly.

Delicious food and good wine recommendations. Today's fish is the best fish dish I've tasted and the beef tartar was gigantic. Both things were arranged at the table. Cozy and relaxed atmosphere, although the place is very posh and expensive. Our waiter Connor (and the others) were very helpful and had a good sense of humour. All in all a really good experience.

In my humble opinion the best steak restaurant in Hamburg. Point. But first things first: My best friend and I were at the Hotel Vier Seasons on Friday at 5:30 p.m. to get us in the mood for the evening with a small pre-dinner cocktail. The beautiful hall, which is located directly in front of the restaurant, is simply iconic, homely and invites you to linger. So we snuggled up in the armchair and enjoyed a wonderful, tangy whiskey sour. A very nice lady accompanied us to the restaurant at 6 p.m. sharp, where we immediately took our place on the gallery. We had a great view over the main room and also a small sofa. That's why for us it's the best place in the whole house. Our contact person for the evening was Johann, who looked after us with an incredible amount of charm, reserved attention and extensive product knowledge. At this point, thank you very much, dear Johann, you and your colleagues ensured an unforgettable evening with your impeccable service. Ambiance and service are two extremely important aspects of a restaurant, but the food comes first. And that was just a bomb! We had Ossietra Caviar, Scallops and Lobster Rolls as starters. The caviar was creamy, slightly mineral, pleasantly salty and very umami. The scallops were grilled to perfection and the combination with the champagne foam was simply brilliant. Definitely try it! The lobster rolls were nicely spicy thanks to the iconic Old Bay seasoning and the lobster was sweet and light. All in all, a harmonious atmosphere from the sea. On Johann's recommendation, the starter was accompanied by probably the most delicious rose sweet wine I have drunk in my life. For the main course we chose the Chateaubriand from Greater Omaha Packing Inc. and the Jack's Creek Wagyu. Both were beautifully carved at the table (Dinner and a Show is always great, but more on that later...) and were perfectly medium-rare. The Chateaubriand was as tender as butter and the knife barely had any trouble cutting it. The taste is slightly nutty, intensely meaty and with a nice crust. The Wagyu, on the other hand, was just butter in the best sense of the word. It melted in the mouth with a very, very light bite. World class. It is said that dessert is the most important course in a meal because you leave the restaurant thinking about dessert. And the grill at Four Seasons delivered. Here I also take up the Dinner and a Show aspect again, because in addition to a Creme Brulee (my personal favorite dessert), we also ordered the Crepes Suzette. Johann then prepared these in front of our eyes (and our corresponding enthusiasm), with the flash of flame during flambéing being of course the highlight. No matter how many times I see it, it's always cool. Both tasted great and were an absolutely worthy end to our menu. Thank you for an incredibly lovely evening.

This is a superb place to go for a high-end dining experience. The room is beautiful, with classic wood panelling and decor. The service is excellent - friendly, efficient, professional and not over bearing. The menu is excellent for seafood and meat lovers, although vegetarians are also catered for. We had beef tartare to start, followed by a half lobster and burger for mains and sides of broccoli, fried potatoes, spinach and mushrooms. Every dish was delightfully cooked and tasty and generously portioned. The drinks menu was also extensive and the whole experience superb.

This spot is a great place for lunch or dinner if you wish to eat top quality meats or seafood in one of the great, old fashioned Grill restaurants of europe.

Grill is one of the 3 Restaurants inside the 4 Season in Hamburg, the restaurant has an amazing view over the Internal lake of the city, very central, the Restaurant offer a very various menù from Pasta to Burgers and Grilled fish to Beef tartare, everything served and presented in a very 4 Season way, the prices are normally higher then around, but that's to be expected in such a place, service is impeccable, food has certainly and high quality. The wine menù is wide, with a good choice from Germany, Austria, France and Italy. Location: 9 Vibes: 8 Service: 9 Food: 9 Wine Menù: 8 Absolutely a must try in Hamburg for a special occasion. For 2 people with a bottle of wine the price is going to be around 300-400€ for the dinner

Why didn't we come here earlier when we visited Hamburg? Absolutely fine food, an exquisite wine list and a very nice ambience. The lunch tasted twice as good thanks to the attentive and charming service

Very nice atmosphere. Very courteous staff. Toilets good but only paper towels and no hand cream...poor for 5*. Cole slaw with the burger tasted like the refrigerator and smelled unfresh. Was then replaced with cucumber salad. Crèpe Suzette was supposed to be flambéed at the table, but it came to the table ready on the plate...what a shame! It wasn't announced that way. Monkfish was average. Shrimp cocktail was optional. All in all, the food is completely overpriced and, above all, it doesn't do justice to a 5* hotel. The ambience is great and the DJ is very good, but overall it's not worth the high price.

The grand hotel vibe is comparable to the main establishments in France and Switzerland, the food wasn't particularly sophisticated but is in keeping with a classic bistrot style. Food: Fresh fish, very good selection of meat. Great selection. Everything fresh. Everything is very high quality. Special requests or allergies are no problem. Drinks: huge selection of high quality. Everything was perfectly prepared. Refills are always given. Service: extremely fast, friendly and attentive. Very personal. Ambiance: harmonious and simply cozy and not aloof. You feel good. The only drawback. The fireplace was running and it was extremely warm at the end.

„The Grill“ - ein neues Konzept für den einst bewährten, überaus gediegenen und souverän-gelassenen und nunmehr zu Zwecken der Umsatz- und Platzmaximierung renovierten „Vier Jahreszeiten Grill“ überzeugt am Wochenende jüngere Gäste mit lauter, bassbetonter, nicht endenwollender Popmusik zur gewohnt erstklassiger Küche und augenfälligem, aber ästhetisch fragwürdigen Chi-Chi (freiliegende Plastikperlen als Tischdekoration), etwas hektischerem, nicht mehr ganz fehlerfreiem, aber immer noch kompetenten Service und ganz allgemein mit einer eher das selfie-affine Kardashian-Publikum ansprechenden, unruhigen Atmosphäre. Dazu passt, dass man bei „zu langer“ Sitzzeit und unabhängig von den Bestellungen herauskomplimentiert wird, um die nächste Charge von Gästen zu bedienen. Viel Security am Eingang gemahnt an einen jüngsten, unerfreulich-gewalttätigen Vorfall in einem hauseigenen Schwesterrestaurant mitsamt Drohungen, das Hotel abzubrennen. Kurz: es ist einfach bunter geworden. Wer’s mag. Chacun à son goût.

We were warmly welcomed and given a very nice table! It was a very special evening! The new beginning in the grill was more than successful! The food was to die for and the service was perfect! A very successful evening all around

now this is an experience booked about a week in advance for a special occasion. My special request for the occasion was taken care of at the end of the meal without a reminder. Excellent. From the moment one enters you are taken care of very well. Service standards are excellent. Excellent choice of wines and aperitifs, including the Martini bar. The risotto is perhaps one of the best ever. The burger was decent. An excellent place to not only have a nice meal but also to savor the experience. Paid parking is available at the hotel at about Euro 6 or 7 / hour.

Das Restaurant GRILL hat uns in allen Belangen begeistert. Selten habe ich ein so geschmackvoll und detailverliebt eingerichtetes Restaurant gesehen. Mein persönliches Highlight ist die Martini-Bar mitten im Geschehen. Ein echter Hingucker. Wir durften bereits die ersten Spargelgerichte probieren. Der Küchenchef hat das Feedback höchstpersönlich eingeholt - toll! Geschmacklich hervorragend, der Service sehr zuvorkommend. Der schöne Alsterblick ist das i-Tüpfelchen!

Ich hatte heute gestern das Vergnügen, im GRILL in Hamburg zu Mittag zu essen, und ich muss sagen, es war eine absolut fantastische Erfahrung! Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist einfach wunderbar. Die gemütliche Atmosphäre und das stilvolle Dekor schaffen eine einladende Umgebung, die perfekt für ein entspanntes Mittagessen ist. Die Speisekarte bietet eine vielfältige Auswahl an köstlichen Gerichten, und ich entschied mich für das Spargel Risotto der aktuellen Speisekarte. Super lecker und definitiv empfehlenswert!

Das Essen ist ein wahres Erlebnis und das Highlight was das Crêpe Suzette, welches am Tisch zubereitet wird. Der Umbau hat dem Grill einen besonderes Touch gegeben mit stilvollem Design und ein weiteres Highlight ist die Martini Bar. Immer wieder gerne und wir kommen wieder.

Eine tolle Erfahrung hier gewesen zu sein. Super Service, sehr Aufmerksam! Alle sehr freundlich. Es wurde einem alles toll erklärt. Der Wein wo empfohlen wurde war sehr lecker und passend. Das Essen fantastisch. Als Dessert fast ein muss, dass Crêpe Suzette. Es wurde am Tisch von der tollen Tamara zubereitet und bietet ein Erlebnis. Nach dem Essen haben wir noch die tollen Kreationen vom Herrn Blake an der Martini Bar genossen. Dazu ist das ganze Restaurant ist sehr detailorientiert. Tolle Einrichtung und sehr gemütlich.

The careful "renovation" has done the grill in the Hotel Four Seasons a lot of good - the murals in particular are unique. As expected, the service at HVJ is of course at the highest level - but in my opinion, the grill doesn't quite match its prices when it comes to food. A great location for a lunch on the Binnen-Alster!

Wir besuchten den Grill zu zweit an einem Freitagabend. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Das Essen ist gut, wird aber dem extremen Preis nicht gerecht. Insbesondere die gewünschte Garstufe wurde höchstens annähernd getroffen. Wirklich enttäuschend war der Service. Wir musste zunächst richtig gehend unfreundliche Türsteher passieren. Ob und warum deren Präsenz erforderlich ist, erschließt sich uns nicht. Der Service am Tisch durch die sehr jungen, ständig wechselnden Kellner (Auszubildende?) war kaum organisiert und bestenfalls lehrbuchmässig. Einen kompetenten Restaurantleiter oder Oberkellner haben wir den gesamten Abend über nicht gesehen. Eine echte Ansprache der Gäste mit persönlicher Note gab es nicht. Gegen Ende des Abends wurde um die verbleibenden Gäste herum aufgeräumt und neu eingedeckt. Die Unterhaltungen des Personals dabei waren nicht zu überhören. Insgesamt wird der Grill seinem Ruf und der opulenten Erscheinung aktuell nicht gerecht. Andere Steakhäuser in Hamburg sind eindeutig überlegen.

For the main course we had a Chateaubriand with various side dishes, here too 10 out of 10 points! We will be back definitely.

Service wasn't ok. No wine list shown, although wishes to drink wine were expressed. 50 minutes waiting time on the main slope. Immediately after dessert we were asked to pay the bill and clear the table. If the main course had been served on time, this problem would not arise at all. The service staff didn't even know whether the tartare was hand-cut. Something like that doesn't belong in a restaurant in this price range. The quality of the food is top. All dishes prepared perfectly. Ambient is great. Shame about the service.

First of all, it should be noted that the food is still impeccable. Whether the interior design innovations are an improvement, ingratiation with the zeitgeist or both is a question of attitude. In any case, what is annoying is the fact that after asking for the wine list, the full one is not brought, in which, in addition to the usual overpriced labels, there are also price/performance miracles, a small one is handed over that only contains the first-mentioned items. What's really frustrating, as in so many restaurants, is the service. Just our highlight should be mentioned here: the waiter pours the wine from the new bottle (different vintage than the previous bottle) into the glasses that still contain the other wine...

Der Jahreszeiten Grill war immer eine sichere Bank in Hamburg für hanseatisches Ambiente, makellosen Service, sehr gutes Essen und tolle Weine. Seit der Renovierung und der Umbenennung ist irgend etwas ins Rutschen geraten. Die Umgestaltung ist sehr gelungen, das Ambiente unverändert hanseatisch mit toller Ergänzung durch die Bar und die Meeresfrüchteauslage. Wenn der Rest doch auch nur geblieben wäre... Die Gans nach wie vor sehr gut, aber die Weinkarte ist deutlich ausgedünnt, dafür im Preis massiv angezogen. Die interessanten Weine sind in der Haerlin Weinkarte zu finden, die aber nur nach penetranter Nachfrage gebracht wird. Insbesondere der Service wird dem (früheren?) Niveau des Hauses in keiner Weise mehr gerecht, ich spare hier die Details besser aus. Der Höhepunkt allerdings: eine interessante Cuvee aus verschiedenen Jahrgängen des gleichen Weines in einem Glas... Mir ist nicht ganz klar, was man hier bezweckt, aber ich hoffe, das war ein einmaliger Ausrutscher. Dank an den sehr liebenswürdigen Barkeeper, der hier versuchte zu retten, was zu retten war, ohne dass sich ein Maître, Chef, Commis o.ä. dazu bemüßigt fühlte
