Had Jägerschnitzel and it was really good.

Such a wonderful and quaint restaurant is very rare these days!! We came here with our friends. You feel at home as soon as you walk in. Very diverse and quaint decor and a lovely outdoor area. The menu is varied and a bit different than usual, but in a good way. The staff was quick and very friendly. I'm glad I found this restaurant and will definitely go back!! Keep it up!!

It's been an up and down experience over the past few years. We've been coming to the Jägerhof regularly for years. Unfortunately, it's been mediocre to bad for some time now. The food isn't completely bad, but overall it's not consistent and, above all, not worth the price. For example, in my Jägerhof filet pan meal, the fried potatoes weren't properly fried and were swimming in oil. The food was really bland and boring in taste. Okay, you can add salt and pepper yourself, but that alone isn't enough for a dish costing around €23. My wife's meal didn't arrive completely, and the rest wasn't served for a good 10 minutes. Her food was cold. Much more attention, for example, with drinks, would be highly recommended. Every time someone doesn't ask for drinks or, for example, dessert, is a missed opportunity to make money. Overall, I'm afraid I can't recommend it at the moment. Maybe we'll try it again sometime, but we have to notice a clear improvement, otherwise there are other good places.

We were there last night with four people. We waited two hours for the food. Something went wrong in the kitchen. No one asked if we wanted something to drink. The food came at different times so we couldn't eat together. The pancakes were lukewarm. The Holstein schnitzel came with a mini fried egg. The fries were inedible as they were way too salty. They didn't even bring more mayonnaise when we asked for it. I complained about the food and pointed out that I wouldn't pay for it. The server then canceled the order and we got a free drink.

Simply delicious home-cooked food, with very friendly service. Delicious appetizers that everyone should try. The ambiance is simply a matter of taste.

We ordered three main courses. The schnitzel came first and was good. The Jägerhof pan-fried dish arrived 10 minutes later and was unbearably cold and swimming in oil. The pasta with prawns came another five minutes later and was good. We didn't charge for the second meal either, even after we asked for it. Nice beer garden, but unfortunately it was our last visit.

Yesterday I went to the Jägerhof for the first time with two friends. We sat in the beer garden, which I think has a nice atmosphere, but is also a bit old and disorganized. I find the old coffee garden more off-putting than inviting. Unfortunately, guests come out from inside to smoke and just stand anywhere, leaving you sitting in the smoke. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food came (almost) at the same time. I was glad I decided at the last minute to go for the Wiener Schnitzel instead of a pancake. So much curry sauce was oozing from the Bombay pancake that you couldn't see any batter anymore. The Allerlei pancake had so much cheese on it that you could hardly see any batter. It's fine for those who like it, but a bit overdone for my taste. The schnitzel was very tasty and plentiful, but the fried potatoes were unfortunately very greasy and mushy. For me, another visit there is unfortunately not worth it.

What a disappointment 😞 I've been meaning to eat there for some time. I discovered the Jägerhof through TikTok! I thought the ambiance was good, it would be perfect for the next company party, but the service is terrible 👎🏻 We ordered salads with our meal, but they never arrived. After I asked the first time, I was told they were coming! After the second time, I gave up 🤷 Well, that can happen, I asked for the bill and said it would have been nice if we'd gotten our salads! He apologized several times. At the end, we would have liked a Coke and a water 🤣🤣🤣 what can I say 😉 we didn't get either. Okay, guys, that's it for us.

We've known the place for decades and celebrated our wedding there. After a long break, we returned for pancakes and were terribly disappointed. The beer garden was rundown and old. The good old hunter's pancake wasn't what it used to be. Unfortunately, the taste was reminiscent of a ready-made powder with lots of e-ingredients... It had nothing to do with Bolognese. The tuna version was a kind of pizza with lots of processed cheese. The house rose wine was undrinkable, and even the side salad wasn't good. It was also a ready-made mix, and the many brown spots weren't appetizing... A real shame.

Unfortunately, the waitress provided incorrect information. Two children's menus for €8 were ordered. The waitress asked, "Large or small?" The children exclaimed loudly. My question as to whether this was still the children's menu was answered with a yes, also because the sauces were supposed to be served separately. The bottom line: they were charged for two adult portions, and an extra €10 for the sauces. An extremely expensive treat...

Guys, you've let your guard down. We were there today and were more than disappointed. My pancake was supposed to have olives, but it didn't come with any. Then the waitress came and brought it with capers and thought I was stupid enough not to notice. The general cleanliness of the tables, cutlery, and restrooms leaves a lot to be desired. No vanilla ice cream left. My daughter ordered ice cream with seasonal fruit, and then the ice cream arrived with a sliced ​​strawberry and a wafer-thin slice of orange. Google what "seasonal fruit" means! We had to ask for toilet paper three times. And the cutting of the bread in the middle of the aisle – simply wonderful: first the cashier, then through your hair, and then cutting the bread. To top it all off, I got my pants caught on something sticky under the table. I feel really sorry for the money I spent that evening.

We visited spontaneously and received a very warm welcome. Very friendly staff. A large selection of drinks and food. We enjoyed it immensely and were delighted. We'll definitely be back. A very pleasant surprise. Thank you for this.

We were disappointed when we ordered our drinks: wheat beer was sold out (early evening on a Monday). We were looking forward to the seasonal asparagus menu, which was advertised on social media. Unfortunately, it was also sold out. The restaurant itself was rather quiet, however. Nevertheless, we wanted to give the place a chance. Our two meals arrived within 10 minutes of each other, so the first was already cold before the second even arrived. The taste was good, but the price/performance ratio was rather poor. The Holstein-style schnitzel came with a few fried potatoes and only one fried egg, which was a bit lean. My companion didn't feel full. The pasta with prawns was pleasing, but there were hardly any pasta and the cherry tomatoes were also missing. There was a lot of chili on the plate, which made the food borderline spicy. Overall, a rather expensive and unsatisfying visit. Should we give this place another chance? Maybe for pancakes, we'll see.

Perfect for good meat. Steaks cooked on a hot stone. Excellent goulash soup. Rustic atmosphere, great beer garden.

We had a delicious dinner one evening in May, and we were both satisfied. The menu is very extensive, so there should be something for everyone. There are also seasonal and daily specials. The atmosphere is very cozy, the service is extremely friendly, and we didn't find it too expensive. Parking is available right outside. The beer garden also looked cozy, but it wasn't open due to the weather.

The various schnitzel variations are definitely recommended. The daily specials are also definitely worth a look! The service itself is very friendly and quick, but you do have to wait a bit longer for drinks compared to other restaurants. The Jägerhof is a great restaurant! But people are divided when it comes to the food. I've only tried pancakes so far and have never had any complaints. It took a good half hour before we were served, and with two people it's still acceptable, even these days with staffing problems. When we placed our orders and got the starters (onion soup), where the soup wasn't very tasty and the bread in it wasn't from the day before but from three days ago, so you couldn't chew it, I slowly started to lose my mood. But when it was time for us to get the food, my father was the first to get his. That was all well and good, we got our food half an hour later and my father was finished. I wonder how this happens when you're busy working the tables in the kitchen. The food was definitely too greasy, everything was dripping in oil, and after my father examined his food more closely and realized that they thought they could serve the dish the customer wanted with products without pointing it out to the customer or asking, it was a disgrace. My father had a farmer's pancake, which is usually with mettwurst. Instead of mettwurst, my father got salami and grilled bratwurst, these small ones. Now find the mistake. The boss didn't even have the courage to listen to it or to justify himself, what a pathetic thing to do. When you run a place like that, you have to take responsibility for your mistakes. The service was super friendly and helped us. My mother and I had our food packed up. We were fed up of waiting. You don't see us there anymore, which is a shame, but this place is pathetic these days, too expensive to have to subject yourself to a meal like that. If you want to go out for a nice, delicious meal, you'd be better off going somewhere else. But not there.

It's very nice to sit outside in the beer garden. I ordered an unusual dish for this place, zander fillet, but it was on the menu. My conclusion is, don't experiment but take what is offered. There are meat and pancake dishes that do well and are popular. Other things can be left alone. At least a 4+ for ambience

We were at the Jägerhof with 7 people on a Tuesday evening. I had already read the reviews and warned my people that it would be better to avoid schnitzel and fried potatoes if someone didn't want a lot of oil and mushy potatoes on their plate; So no one has tried it! 2 of us had pancakes (1x tuna, 1x half hunter with minced meat sauce), both came to the table lukewarm and the cakes themselves were very doughy and soggy. Not how we imagine a nice, crispy flatbread. A lot doesn't always help. You had to look for the meat in the (homemade) goulash soup and it wasn't hot either. The 2 meat dishes (grilled sirloin steak and steak on the hot stone) were very good, so the quality of the meat! My farmer's pan contained 3 tiny pieces of meat, buried under a no longer present "mushroom cream sauce" and a pile of mushy "grilled vegetables". Nothing really hot. I ordered the sauce, unfortunately it really wasn't a cream sauce and everything melted back into a watery affair on the plate. We were lucky with our service. The young man was attentive and enjoyed laughing with us, even joining in on the odd joke. The serving of the food also went well, unlike some reviews where the first person finished eating before the last person got theirs. We were lucky here too! Conclusion: we had a wonderful, relaxed evening with a nice and super cool waiter, the atmosphere was nice, a bit rustic... just the way we like it! Only the food leaves a lot to be desired, which unfortunately doesn't fit the price-performance ratio at all. Unfortunately there is no option for us to visit the Jägerhof again!

We were there with 9 people, after waiting over 1:45 hours for the food and the last three dishes were still not there, in the meantime the others had already finished their food, so we left. Without words!

Good, home-style cooking, friendly and fast service. We didn't have to wait long for our food, even though it was a Sunday and rush hour, and best of all, it was reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back again.

We were there on Saturday, and admittedly, it was very busy. However, in my opinion, it's not okay to have to wait half an hour before you could place a drink order. Our food order was taken another 15 minutes later. The staff gave us mixed impressions: from exemplary attentiveness and extremely friendly to just barely acceptable. After ordering, it took another 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive—we were put off in the meantime—and we waited over 60 minutes for the food. The food itself was great: my steak was cooked to perfection. Thank you for serving the sauce separately.

A very cozy restaurant. We were there for the third time and will come more often. The occupancy rate is very high, so you should reserve in advance. The service staff have their hands full and are very friendly and helpful, but at peak times, when all tables are full, you have to wait a while for your drinks. But as I said, once all the tables have something it will be noticeably better. But personally, I would rather go to a restaurant that is busy than one where you can count the guests on one hand. When it's always busy, the ingredients are always fresh and the store is healthy. I'm already looking forward to the next visit...

Hello first of all, I ate there for the first and last time today. I'll start with food! As an appetizer we got some bread with a dip that was super delicious! Starter of porcini mushroom soup, which was good, I'm cautious about claiming that it was seasoned with flavor enhancers, but it tasted as I said! The starter plate was very meager and for the price you could have had some bread with it! The main course Jägerschnitzel was far from the Jägersauce, more like cream schnitzel! The cream sauce was mixed way too thick and definitely helped with an amplifier, portion was good but the biggest disaster was the fried potatoes!!! They were definitely greasy and mushy out of the package! Hardly edible! The dessert was so-so! Cream from the spray can!!! A no-go when it comes to prices! The staff was actually very nice except for the waiter who probably missed our criticism....otherwise the rest of the staff were very nice... Conclusion: dear Jägerhof team, I and my companions are very happy, I'm not sorry again because the ambience is really great

Unfortunately there was no bread for the starter platter (some meat and fish). The fried potatoes in all 4 dishes were very mushy and partly discolored. At first I thought it was mushrooms or something. It looked indefinable. I told the waiter and showed it because I didn't eat it, but unfortunately there was no response. The schnitzel was okay. With the cappucino there was a walnut-sized piece of dry cake. This tasted like stale bread. But my dog ​​was happy about it. For us, the food at the Jägerhof was a BAD TRAP, the service and service left something to be desired. Since we were invited in the evening, we were initially happy. For an ordered pan - Cake with fresh champions we got a pizza-like part with a "mega" lot of cheese 70-80% 10-20% dough and a maximum of 5% of champions and the whole thing was so tasteless that you couldn't define what it was supposed to be!? You couldn't eat that with the best will in the world. My wife ordered a schnitzel with rösti which came straight from the fryer with very bad or very old fat, it definitely tasted that way, so my wife had heartburn all night and burped until the early morning. The pancakes made me feel very sick all night and the next morning and I vomited twice. No thanks and please never eat this food again. The ambience was actually very nice and put together with a lot of effort, but if it's too cold in the room then the food doesn't taste good. Not recommended for us, no thanks

Last time we waited 40 minutes for dessert because it was forgotten. And today my friend got his food within 5 minutes, while mine wasn't served until 15 minutes later, by which time he had almost eaten it. The waiter was out of the room for just a minute and then his food arrived. The food was really great, but it's impossible that we couldn't eat together. If there were four or more people, it was also possible for all dishes to be served at the same time. In addition, it was extremely cold in the room, so it was anything but comfortable to sit there. To be honest, I'm really disappointed...

First time guest here, great atmosphere, friendly and prompt service. The food from the “hot stone” convinced us, very good quality. We will definitely enjoy the outdoor dining as soon as the temperatures allow it. We also have the Jägerhof on the plan as a destination for an e-bike tour from the Lower Rhine. Recommended.

It was very cold inside. There was insufficient crew and insufficient experience. The kitchen seemed stressed with their bell. The food itself was otherwise good.

Unfortunately, the table we reserved wasn't good because it was too close to the neighboring table. A place setting was missing, even though I had specified the number of people when making the reservation. The non-alcoholic beer was way too warm. In my opinion, the “Favorite” pancake was not seasoned enough, but that is of course a matter of taste. Unfortunately, our five dishes at the table were not served at the same time, so the first ones were almost finished when the last dishes were served. It was also cleared away while people were still eating at the table. In my opinion the price is also not justified. All in all, not a recommendation in my opinion.

Portions were too small for the price [€33 per leg of goose] Goose was good, red cabbage was okay, dumplings were a disaster for everyone. Ragout arrived late because it was forgotten, then without meat, then after a long time again with meat. Cleanliness of the toilets so-so. Unfortunately I wouldn't eat here again.

Unfortunately, a restaurant that makes life difficult for itself - the menu shines with quantity, but unfortunately the quality falls by the wayside! The dishes are drowned in (convenience) sauce and generously garnished with parsley. Furthermore, the kitchen cannot serve the number of tables in a timely manner, so there was a difference of over 1 hour between the first and last main course at the table. No blame for the motivated service; The crux of the matter is the overall concept! A smaller menu, less “chi-chi” and more focus on the craft of cooking instead of preparing would be nice!

I had an appointment there on Saturday with a friend and a few other people. Unfortunately almost everyone canceled. I then ordered a delicious pineapple ham pancake because I don't like onions. This was very tasty with a curry sauce. There was even a small mixed salad and bread with herb butter. The journey with the bus and bus from Dinslaken was completely worth it. The service was also very nice and accommodating. The only thing that bothered me was the toilets, as the cubicles were very narrow. Otherwise, I can highly recommend this restaurant

Yesterday we organized a “Christmas dinner” for the employees of a clinic. The evening also exceeded all culinary expectations: Although the restaurant was very busy, the excellent food came to everyone at the same time, it was a variety of dishes and the starter platter and the dessert were lovingly prepared and tasted perfectly. The employees were extremely warm and empathetic and contributed a lot to the success of the evening. The Restaurant Jägerhof can only be highly recommended!! We have been enjoying going to the Jägerhof for 30 years and have never been disappointed. There is a large and varied menu, and we particularly love the hot stone meat. The meat quality is really excellent. Of course, this also applies to all other dishes. The entire staff is super friendly and the service is also great! We are and will remain fans!!!!

Wir waren bereits mehrmals hier. Das Essen ist wirklich lecker und bisher waren die Portionen aus unserer Sicht eher zu groß als zu klein. Allerdings ist der Service stark unterschiedlich. Teilweise dauert es recht lang bis man bestellen kann, manchmal wartet man sehr lange auf die Getränke oder das Essen. Höhepunkt war, als wir zu viert hier waren. Ein Essen (Pfannkuchen) kam nach ca. 45 Minuten, die weiteren 3 Essen (Fleisch vom heißen Stein) ließen weiter 45 Minuten auf sich warten. Das darf bei einer Gruppe nicht passieren!

Everything was great, it wasn't the last time I was there

Wir waren zunächst etwas verunsichert, da wir viele negative Bewertungen gelesen haben. Dennoch waren wir bisher immer zufrieden und wollten uns selbst von der gleich bleibenden Qualität überzeugen. Wir waren mit insgesamt vier Personen und unterschiedlichen Gerichten absolut begeistert. Die Qualität des Essens war vorzüglich und die Mitarbeiterin und ihr Kollege waren zuvorkommend, freundlich und kompetent. Alles in allem perfekt. Wir kommen wieder und lassen uns von angeblichen negativ Bewertungen nicht beeinflussen.

I recently went to dinner with someone at the Jägerhof. Unfortunately, it wasn't clear on the homepage or anywhere else that you HAD to sit outside. Closed inside because outside is open. I've never experienced that before either. If I had known this beforehand, I would have reserved a table somewhere else, because of course what I feared happened. As soon as the food arrived, we had a plague of flies. Disgusting and very annoying. It may not bother other people, but it does bother me. On the subject of food & service: I ordered my steak medium rare, I got it just medium rare, almost done. Well, it was somewhat edible, so I didn't let it go back. The fried potatoes were too soft for my taste and very fatty. The salt was forgotten the first time I asked, but the second time it worked (different service staff). As the evening progressed, we were hardly noticed after the rooms had been cleared away. Nobody came to our table to ask if we would like dessert or something to drink. Conclusion: Since neither the food nor the service convinced me, I won't be coming back.

Everything is great. Go eat there again. I can only recommend it.

We were there on Saturday evening with 4 women and had reserved in advance. Our table was in the beer garden, chairs without seat cushions. The orders were received within the normal time frame. The restaurant was about half full inside and out, but not so much inside. I get a dirty starter plate with herbs from the previous guest still stuck on it. When I called the waitress's attention straight away, she replied: "That's not bad, it's just from my hands." Didn't make it any better for me, I asked for a clean one. I then got a plastic tray for coffee pots (photo attached) There would be no more plates. (Restaurant not even half full! All tables inside are set, no guests) The meals were tasty. ... It was on to the main course. There was a dead 1 cent spider stuck under a piece of melon for decoration. My fillet pan with fried potatoes was a fryer fat soup with a filling. It's a shame about the actually fried vegetables and potatoes, everything was swimming in oil in the pan. Except for the dead spider, the pancakes we ordered were found to be appetizing. The drink we ordered for the main course found its way to the table after 20 minutes. Nothing was ever cleared away. In order to have space to eat, we had to put the dishes and glasses we had used on the dirty bar table next door that had apparently been placed there for that purpose. We waited a full 30 minutes for the bill (asked two waiters) and were then asked to pay inside. The waiter who took over the cashier then kindly tried to save the evening with a drink on the house. However, I can't drink enough alcohol to forget that terrible evening. Under the motto: Experience gastronomy it is something different. For the prices that are quoted there, I expect the service and quality that is usual in such restaurants. Definitely not achieved here!

The food was not justified for the price-performance ratio. There were four of us there and the food was not brought together, but the third and fourth dishes came individually, over 20 minutes apart. The fillet was burnt and tough, the turkey was slimy. We don't go there anymore.

Der Service war unterirdisch. Die 4 Gerichte kahmen zu 3 unterschiedlichen Zeitpunkten an, keine offene Kommunikation keine Entschuldigung, nix. Das gegrillte Gemüse war zum größten Teil aus der Dose, das Schweinefilet war zäh und der Preis der Pfannekuchen bei einer solchen Portionsgröße wirklich unverschämt. Früher war es mal wirklich ein gutes Restaurant, aktuell nicht mehr empfehlenswert.

Today we spontaneously went to the Jägerhof for lunch. We sat comfortably outside and enjoyed a very good meal. Price performance is right. We'd love to come back. Renate and Michael

Never experienced such a catastrophe... wrong table, dilapidated decoration and rooms, food was floating in oil, the bottom of the pancake was black, the last person got their food 50 minutes after the first...

The food was very tasty and the staff was really friendly. Unfortunately a star deducted because we waited a really long time for food. Otherwise there would have been 5 :)

A beautiful place with delicious and beautifully served food. A relaxed atmosphere, very nice waiter service, it was my first time there and I will visit there again soon.

Ah yes, I'm receiving a report for "defamation" today regarding this recession. This is how reviews are handled here 👎🏻😡 It's not the first bad review here. And no, it's not slander, it's fact and I have witnesses for that! ..... dead-cooked, unseasoned leaf spinach - consistency like "Blubb", with indefinable tasteless bechamel sauce and half-cooked prawns 🤢. After a quarter of the pan (24€) I had to push everything to the side, otherwise... When the service staff asked if everything had been okay, which was obvious given the almost identical leftovers in the same dish twice, I said that it didn't taste good at all. You would tell the kitchen. No excuse - nothing. Fully billed. There were also some dissatisfied guests at the next table.
