Everything was great, it wasn't the last time I was there

I recently went to dinner with someone at the Jägerhof. Unfortunately, it wasn't clear on the homepage or anywhere else that you HAD to sit outside. Closed inside because outside is open. I've never experienced that before either. If I had known this beforehand, I would have reserved a table somewhere else, because of course what I feared happened. As soon as the food arrived, we had a plague of flies. Disgusting and very annoying. It may not bother other people, but it does bother me. On the subject of food & service: I ordered my steak medium rare, I got it just medium rare, almost done. Well, it was somewhat edible, so I didn't let it go back. The fried potatoes were too soft for my taste and very fatty. The salt was forgotten the first time I asked, but the second time it worked (different service staff). As the evening progressed, we were hardly noticed after the rooms had been cleared away. Nobody came to our table to ask if we would like dessert or something to drink. Conclusion: Since neither the food nor the service convinced me, I won't be coming back.

Everything perfect. Go eat there again. I can only recommend.

We were there on Saturday evening with 4 women and had reserved in advance. Our table was in the beer garden, chairs without seat cushions. The orders were received within the normal time frame. The restaurant was about half full inside and out, but not so much inside. I get a dirty starter plate with herbs from the previous guest still stuck on it. When I called the waitress's attention straight away, she replied: "That's not bad, it's just from my hands." Didn't make it any better for me, I asked for a clean one. I then got a plastic tray for coffee pots (photo attached) There would be no more plates. (Restaurant not even half full! All tables inside are set, no guests) The meals were tasty. ... It was on to the main course. There was a dead 1 cent spider stuck under a piece of melon for decoration. My fillet pan with fried potatoes was a fryer fat soup with a filling. It's a shame about the actually fried vegetables and potatoes, everything was swimming in oil in the pan. Except for the dead spider, the pancakes we ordered were found to be appetizing. The drink we ordered for the main course found its way to the table after 20 minutes. Nothing was ever cleared away. In order to have space to eat, we had to put the dishes and glasses we had used on the dirty bar table next door that had apparently been placed there for that purpose. We waited a full 30 minutes for the bill (asked two waiters) and were then asked to pay inside. The waiter who took over the cashier then kindly tried to save the evening with a drink on the house. However, I can't drink enough alcohol to forget that terrible evening. Under the motto: Experience gastronomy it is something different. For the prices that are quoted there, I expect the service and quality that is usual in such restaurants. Definitely not achieved here!

The food was very tasty and the staff was really friendly. Unfortunately a star deducted because we waited a really long time for food. Otherwise there would have been 5 :)

Today we spontaneously went to the Jägerhof for lunch. We sat comfortably outside and enjoyed a very good meal. Price performance is right. We'd love to come back. Renate and Michael

Never experienced such a catastrophe... wrong table, dilapidated decoration and rooms, food was floating in oil, the bottom of the pancake was black, the last person got their food 50 minutes after the first...

The food was not justified for the price-performance ratio. There were four of us there and the food was not brought together, but the third and fourth dishes came individually, over 20 minutes apart. The fillet was burnt and tough, the turkey was slimy. We don't go there anymore.

A beautiful place with delicious and beautifully served food. A relaxed atmosphere, very nice waiter service, it was my first time there and I will visit there again soon.

And no, it's not slander, it's fact and I have witnesses for that! ..... dead-cooked, unseasoned leaf spinach - consistency like "Blubb", with indefinable tasteless bechamel sauce and half-cooked prawns 🤢. After a quarter of the pan (24€) I had to push everything to the side, otherwise... When the service staff asked if everything had been okay, which was obvious given the almost identical leftovers in the same dish twice, I said that it didn't taste good at all. You would tell the kitchen. No excuse - nothing. Fully billed. There were also some dissatisfied guests at the next table.

Ambience OK, but getting old. Service friendly, but doesn't listen. Turkey schnitzel was like slime, in my opinion molded meat. The Viennese style schnitzel, on the other hand, was of good quality. After we sent the dish back, it came back identical. No food was eaten and the full price was charged despite the complaint. We won't go here again.

A very nice restaurant with good traditional German cuisine. Food was really great. But unfortunately maybe it was just bad service that day. They were all nice but you almost forgot every guest. We had to let us know three times if we wanted something and we waited a long time for that. As I said, it may have been too crowded for the store that day. It's definitely worth a visit.

The food was delicious. The ambience itself is quite nice with a beautiful garden. However, I personally couldn't enjoy the visit at all. First of all, we were made to wait a really long time to even order drinks. Then unfortunately it took a really long time until we got something to drink or eat. It's a shame. But what is really an absolute no-go for me is that people smoke everywhere, at least in the garden. Either from the left or from the right there is constant smoke from cigarettes or similar that drifts towards your own table. You lose your appetite and the desire to eat. If we hadn't been invited, I would have left immediately. Apparently this is also what the restaurant wants, as ashtrays are distributed throughout the entire outdoor area. Today it is common practice to at least offer smoking and non-smoking areas (including in the garden)... I definitely won't visit the restaurant again, even though the food was delicious.

Ordered two pancakes - 1x sliced ​​beef, 1x vegetables. I thought the first one was delicious, but next time I would probably choose one with mince because it goes together better. I found the one with vegetables a little underseasoned. The onion soup beforehand was great! The steaks looked very visually appealing. The restaurant itself is great. The food is great, the portions are more than generous, there is a large selection of dishes. If you can't manage it, you can have it packed up. Cozy atmosphere, very nice beer garden. BUT... the service is a disaster. The boys and girls are very friendly, but seem overwhelmed. Orders were sometimes taken incorrectly or forgotten, drinks were only given at the beginning, no more questions were asked about them and it took forever before anyone even came to our table. We completely understand that it will take longer if it is full. But they didn't even check our table to see if there were any more drinks and everything was OK. Unfortunately, such service makes us avoid this restaurant. It's a shame because the rest is TOP. We were there about 15 years ago and it was the same way. Even then, a meal that we had ordered was forgotten. We were now hoping that something had changed after such a long time. Unfortunately none. Guys... change the service! Then we'd love to come back.

We were there for the first time today, based on a recommendation. We weren't disappointed! Every meal was super delicious. We were there with 6 people, my son's food came a little later than ours!! It is advisable to make a reservation at peak times, especially when the beer garden is not open (autumn/winter). If you like grilling yourself, you should try the hot stone. Grilling yourself at the table is a delicious treat.

Wir waren zum x- ten Mal zum Abendessen dort. Es war das letzte Mal! Der Service war sehr nett, aber,aufgrund der Menge der Gäste,völlig überfordert . Nach 1,5 Std kam das Essen, welches nicht besonders war. Bratkartoffeln schwammen im Öl. Das Fleisch vom heißen Stein bruzelte auf diesem schon beim Servieren und war dadurch unten verbrannt. Der Pfannkuchen war nicht durchgegangen! Der Spielbereich der Kinder wackelig und extrem dreckig. Jetzt reicht es mit Holderberg

Unfortunately, the food often comes so staggered that sometimes one person starts and finishes alone until the last person gets their food. And that with just 5 people. The waiting time is sometimes 1 hour and the fillet is always served on the hot stone (instead of separately), which means that the meat burns quickly. The service sometimes seems overwhelmed, but despite everything, it's really friendly. When two drinks were ordered at the same time (one of them WITHOUT alcohol), it was no longer known which one was without alcohol. Sometimes it's really a shame.

How many stars do you give? There were six of us, four of whom were very satisfied. On the negative side, the plates weren't completely clean and the edge of my glass was a bit cracked. Actually had to stand out. With five menus, almost everything was perfect. In menu number 6, the fish was unfortunately still half raw and had to go back to the kitchen, and the spinach also tasted unreasonable. Dessert took quite a long time and the hot raspberries weren't really warm and the ice cream had been sitting for too long before it was served. Nevertheless, most guests were generally satisfied. The house was a bit old and there was no paper in the toilet. But there was a lot to do today...

Wir waren mit der Familie an einem schönen Frühlingstag im Jägerhof in Holderberg mit der Familie Essen. Für die kleinen gibt's "Kinderportionen" für die Erwachsenen "Raubtier" -portionen. Wer also ausgehungert sein sollte, für den ist es genau das richtige. Abgesehen Von der Menge war aber auch der Geschmack des Essens eine klare Spitzeleistung. Qualität und Quantität also kaum zu bemängeln. Die Kellner und Location Reihen sich in meine sehr Gute Einschätzung ein. Urig, mit Biergarten, Platz für viele Personen. Die Kellner sind schnell, freundlich, sehr aufmerksam und denken mit. Alles in allem ein gelungener Nachmittag. Gerne wieder.

We ordered our food relatively late and then unfortunately came the disappointment. Two out of five meals came quite quickly, then the next one almost 10 minutes later, then the next one 5 minutes later. At the fifth meal we had to ask. The pancakes were tasty, but not fully baked. The fillet steak was great. The chicken schnitzel and the fried potatoes didn't taste good at all (almost not seasoned, as did the salad). It was positive that we were offered a coffee as an apology. Ultimately, the prices didn't match the quality of the food. It's a shame, but not recommended.

Wir hatten unseren Stammtisch zum 2‘ten Mal im Jägerhof und haben zu 6 Personen draußen gesessen. Obwohl es voll war, kam das Essen und die Getränke sehr schnell. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und der Service sehr zuvorkommend.

Special requests were taken into account. Before the starter there was a basket of fresh bread and a bowl with a delicious dip. However, the dip was a bit small for us (4 people). When asked, the waiter immediately brought a second bowl. The food was great. Steak on point. Schnitzel crispy. Fried potatoes are not fancy but really delicious home cooking. The two pancakes were so big and so richly topped that half of them had to be taken home. The waiter ensured safe packaging. All in all a lovely evening. We will definitely come back again. Update April 14, 2024 Were here again on Sunday. Again, absolutely great. Because of the great weather we sat outside this time. Just as “quaint” Parasols and wicker fences did a great job of blocking out too much sun and wind. Drinks came quickly and the food for 5 people came almost at the same time. Various schnitzels and pancakes, all again 1A. Before that, as a greeting from the kitchen, there was fresh bread with paprika dip and olives. Really tasty. Service attentive, fast and super friendly. Our next visit is already planned.

Celebrated communion there. We were there from 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., which is why we paid so much money per person because everyone ordered 4-5 drinks. If you had just been there for dinner you would have paid significantly less per person. The food was very tasty and the ambience was also very nice. The employees were also very nice. Overall, we like being there and it is always a good place for larger events.

The food is good, home-style with a few whistles...and of course there are a lot of pancakes left! Our most popular restaurant for more than 38 years. The food is always very good. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy. The service is young, motivated, fast and very friendly! We also regularly go to the beer garden, which is simply great!!! Also suitable for bike trips.

Unfortunately, it has diminished significantly. It used to be great, but now the price/performance ratio in the area of ​​schnitzel and pancakes no longer matches at all. Just mediocre in all areas. Prices have risen sharply, okay, minimum wage etc., but then there is less on the plate. Fried potatoes are more like mashed potatoes. For the price, if you add another 20%, you can really eat somewhere else.

Waren nach längerer Zeit mal wieder dort und es hat uns geschmacklich gar nicht mehr gefallen. Mein Essen kam 15 Minuten später als das der anderen, konnte fast alleine essen und das war nur ein Pfannkuchen der halb abgebrannt war . Mein Mann bestellte sich Steak vom Lavastein , der Stein war schneller kalt als das Steak medium war . Zu den Pommes fehlte die Majo und Pfeffer fehlte schon um 18:00 Uhr auf dem Tisch. Man füllt vor der Öffnung alles auf . 3 x mussten wir darauf hinweisen wo mein Essen bleibt und das die Majo und Pfeffer fehlt . Mein Sohn bestellte Wiener Schnitzel was eher eine Portion für ein kleines Kind war und zum Schluss meine Schwiegertochter sie bestellte sich die Jägerhofpfanne mehr Pilze als Fleisch und das Fleisch so viel Fett dran das davon die Hälfte weg konnte. Ach ganz vergessen meine Zwiebelsuppe zur Vorspeise insgesamt 3 Lorbeerblätter drin ein Stück saß dann in meinem Zahn fest . Alles in allem einfach nicht mehr das was wir mal kannten. Trotz der Beschwerde noch nicht mal als Entschädigung einen Absacker. Wir wissen wo wir nicht mehr Essen gehen. Den Nachtisch haben wir uns dann gespart , wer weiß was da nicht gestimmt hatte .

The atmosphere is rustic (meant in a positive way) The sanitary facilities should definitely be renovated. The sanitary facilities can only be given a maximum of half a star.

First of all, I would like to say that I have always been satisfied so far. We celebrated confirmations here and often just visited on the weekends. But what happened last Saturday was a real outrage. Has the restaurant changed ownership? We wanted to spend our wedding day with the groomsmen at the Jägerhof. So we had booked a table a few days before. When we arrived on time, we saw a lot of people standing at the registration desk waiting to be assigned a table. We can't be interested because we had reservations, I thought. The waiter simply said: Please wait here, the table will be free soon. 10 minutes later we asked again. Even after 15 and 25 minutes. Always the same answer. That doesn't work. Especially since we weren't even offered drinks. I don't know what went wrong, but it almost ruined our wedding day. After our last inquiry, 25 minutes after we arrived, we left. Luckily we got a table at another restaurant.

It was a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately this time we always had to wait a long time for our drinks. But I'd love to come back 🤗

Schöne Location, aber leider auch sehr laut, wenn es voll ist - und es ist meistens voll! Leider sind die Speisen-Preise auf der Website nicht aktuell! Man kann gut 5 € aufschlagen! Dafür sind die Portionen aber auch reichlich.

Onion soup and roast beef as starters, as well as lava stone fillet and sirloin steak with pepper sauce. And what can I say "It was perfect" quality of the meat, taste, appearance of the food... There is one small point of criticism. There were five of us and two had already finished their main course when the other three arrived. But given that the economy was very busy, it is excusable. Thank you for a thoroughly successful evening.

Although potato pancakes had been pre-ordered for 15 people to eat, after 8 portions had been delivered they said that the potato pancakes had run out. You should order something else expensive for dinner. That's why I don't rate the food.

The food (grilled fish with side dishes) was very well seasoned and prepared, but also a bit expensive. The service was very friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. However, the ambience is a bit too crowded. The beautiful old building alone looks very inviting, and the historical decorative parts are also nice to look at. Today we went to a regulars' get-together for Smart drivers at the Jägerhof with around 30 people and everyone was simply thrilled with the food and the great service. Essen definitiv eine 11/10. Ich hatte das Steak auf dem Hotstone und der Inhaber hat sich genügend Zeit genommen mir zu zeigen, wie man den heißen Stein am besten nutzt und das maximale Geschmackserlebnis bekommt. Auch die Bedienungen waren mehr als aufmerksam. Der Jäger Hof ist definitiv einen Besuch wert.

Cold room but the worst thing is the passage to the smoking area. It's so cold in the hall that you have to sit and eat with a jacket on. Ich habe nicht erste mal dort gegessen, aber vielleicht letzte mal. Das Essen war so mittelmäßig, Pfannkuchen von meiner Freundin verbrannt- die Dame von Bedienung hat aber gesagt, dass es knusprig werden soll 😂knusprig ja,aber nicht verbrannt. Meine Freundin hat neue bekommen, Gott sei Dank. Das knaller war aber creme brulee-fisch vorbereitet ist anders das war alt,hart,wie Schmalz. Einfach ungenießbar. Ich finde sehr schade, weil das so gute Restaurant war und ich bin früher gerne dort gewesen. Preise sind auch stark gestiegen, das ist aber glaube ich überall so.

Mein Essen hatte die Optik von Hundefutter, einfach lieblos drauf geschmissen und das von der Sessionkarte Wild mit Rotkohl und bisschen Schnickschnack komplette Katastrophe. Der Rotkohl ausgetrocknet und Fleisch im Ragout nicht vorhanden nur Fasern wie beim Pulledpork das ganze schlug mit 25,00 Euro zu gute. Der Service war super freundlich muss dazu gesagt sein. Die Toiletten haben auch die besten Zeiten hinter sich.

wir waren heute hier weil mein Mann früher immer als Kind hier war,und davon so geschwärmt hat.Er fand sein essen auch super lecker,meiner Tochter und mir hat's leider überhaupt nicht geschmeckt.Der Service war super und super super nett,da wo wir saßen war es leider etwas kalt.Ansonsten schmeckt es dort sicher lecker wenn man vielleicht einfach was nimmt was man kennt🙂
