Jägerhof Holderberg in Moers

It used to be good, but now I can't recommend it at all. The food was carelessly thrown together and didn't taste good anymore. The owner and staff, including the cook, have probably changed... what a shame.

The blueberry pancakes were delicious, and Dino's plate of cutlets was excellent! Thank you!

UPDATE FROM JANUARY 3, 2026: Apparently, there has been a change of ownership. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined significantly: stale bread and an unidentifiable (rather tasteless) dip were served beforehand. The Feldschlößchen malt beer we ordered (listed on the menu) was unavailable, and Vitamalz was served instead without our request (which I don't like and therefore sent back). The meal we ordered (Jägerhof fillet pan) was partly okay (meat), partly edible (fried potatoes), and partly inedible (vegetables). Overall, it was too greasy, and unfortunately, only canned mushrooms were used. The service was friendly, but clearly inexperienced in the restaurant business. After the meal, only half the table was cleared, and we weren't asked if we wanted any more drinks. We went to the bar to pay because no server came back to our table. And this was despite the restaurant only being moderately busy. The food was friendly, but clearly inexperienced in the restaurant business. CONCLUSION: WE WON'T BE BACK. The food (grilled fish with sides) was very well seasoned and prepared, but also a bit pricey. The service was very friendly and attentive, yet not intrusive. However, the ambiance is a bit too cluttered. The beautiful old building itself is very inviting, and the historical decorative elements are lovely to look at. However, for my taste, there was too much modern decor inside, like Easter bunnies and eggs, etc. Less is sometimes more. 😉 We'll come back when the beer garden season starts.

Surprisingly spacious, we reserved a table for 18 people with our family. When I first entered, I was a little skeptical about the size of the restaurant, but to my surprise, we were led into another room that was much larger. This room had four long tables set up, and could comfortably seat about 40 people. From there, you could access another room with several more tables. There was also a covered outdoor area (interesting for smokers 😉). The restaurant is rustically but stylishly furnished, with lots of dark wood, heavy furniture, and yet a cozy atmosphere. The menu is excellent. It includes meat, fish, and all kinds of pancakes 😍. Both meat-eaters and vegetarians will find something to their liking. For example, the 500g steak with fried potatoes was simply delicious, cooked to perfection, yet incredibly tender, and served with delicious herb butter. The roast duck leg with dumplings and red cabbage was very well prepared, and the sauce was perfectly seasoned. I also recommend the salmon pancake; it tastes fantastic. And to top it all off, a dream of a dessert. However, I do have one point of criticism: the staff was very friendly, but unfortunately, we had to wait a very long time for our food. We were only able to order drinks half an hour later, and then another hour before we could order our food. About half an hour after that, we finally received our food, but at least we all arrived almost at the same time. It's possible that the restaurant was packed that day. This was our first time at Jägerhof Holderberg, and we would gladly return, hoping that we won't have to wait so long next time.

We've been coming here for years and have never had a bad meal. Just today we enjoyed incredibly delicious food in a lovely atmosphere with excellent service. ...and the portions are huge. We'll definitely be back.

We always enjoyed eating here, but yesterday was our last time. Unfortunately, the staff couldn't manage to serve all the food at the same time (after a 1.5-hour wait). The fries for our 3-year-old arrived about half an hour earlier than the rest of the food. And be warned... they served a handful of fries for €4.50, including ketchup, which wasn't enough to satisfy him. So we ordered more fries and paid €9.50 just for a few fries with ketchup! The main courses arrived in three separate batches for five adults, all the same dish! The last pancake (which were all cooked to varying degrees, from very well done to just barely cooked) arrived after the first ones had already been eaten. To top it all off, we also had an unordered drink on the bill for a whopping €7, which we unfortunately only noticed later. ...``` ``````````````````````` `` ` ` ` ` All in all, really very disappointing... even the ambiance can't make up for it.

Unfortunately, another disappointment!! We were there yesterday with 15 people. Food: lukewarm; they were out of fries; we ordered tagliatelle, but received a different type of pasta, which isn't a big deal, BUT the pasta was hard; the pancakes were left uneaten, there was plenty of cheese on them, but the actual topping was missing; there were no steak knives for the steak on the hot stone, and no plates for the cooked meat; the venison stew contained bones and the meat was unfortunately tough; We received our first drinks promptly, but subsequent drinks only arrived after we asked and took 30 minutes. The staff walked past empty glasses on the tables several times and didn't notice. Why don't you want to sell drinks? What was wrong with the food? I've already made a reservation for 25 people for September and I'm considering canceling. I'll try you again...before I cancel. You need to improve. This is unacceptable...

A very nice restaurant, and much more than just a pancake house. The schnitzels here were excellent and really large – we ordered two! The ambiance is rather rustic, with photos from Moers' past. All in all, well worth a visit!

We got a table for two on December 25th at 4 pm for 7:30 pm. The service is first-class, and the food is a truly delicious treat. We were completely satisfied 🤌🏻💖 You couldn't ask for a better way to spend Christmas Day. We always love coming back here. Thank you for being there ❤️🙏🏻

The food was burnt and tough! The entire meal was extremely greasy and, unfortunately, inedible. The sanitary facilities were also very poor, with water damage and holes in the ceilings. We ordered fries with our main course...after about 15-20 minutes, we were told they were out of fries...we then ordered hash browns...after some time, we were told they were also out of hash browns. In the end, we all had fried potatoes, which were more like chunks of potato than actual fried potatoes. Unfortunately, the entire experience was very disappointing. Definitely not recommended. What a shame.

I was only partially impressed today. The appetizer, prawns, was completely overcooked, and the side dish for the main course, fried potatoes, was almost cold. Nevertheless, I have to give the steak top marks; the quality and cooking time were perfect. You should allow plenty of time, as everything takes a little while.

The food used to be very good here...yesterday was definitely our last visit! Drinks were served quickly, as was the food. For two out of six people, the food was okay. The sausage was swapped for salami without being asked. The filet tips tasted bitter. The "Grillfest" dish was a disaster. One piece of meat was completely burnt. The second was tough and dry. The "Hammsteak" was the worst meatball ever. The dessert we ordered was missing. After we complained, no one came to ask if we wanted more drinks...even though only two other tables were occupied. It's a shame that a once good restaurant has been run into the ground like this.

Unfortunately, it's not as good as it used to be. Hopefully, this is only temporary; we've been coming regularly for well over 10 years.

We were there today with a large group. Everyone was very satisfied. The food was very good and plentiful, and the service was very friendly and attentive. We'd gladly come again.

I was looking forward to a delicious Jägerschnitzel, but it seems the chef got lost in the woods while mushroom hunting and was never seen again. Instead, I was served a small cup of an undefinable, rather "interesting" sauce in which a single, chopped-up, third-rate mushroom appeared to have met its miserable end in a can. Any random fast-food joint could do much better. The schnitzel and fried potatoes were nothing to write home about, but they were okay.

We returned to the Jägerhof after a long time. I have to say, the food really left a lot to be desired. The fish was still raw. We couldn't eat it, so we sent it back. They still charged us for it, which we found really lousy. The pancakes looked like they had been salted afterwards, as some spots were too salty and others lacked salt. Quite odd. The side salads were very poorly prepared. We certainly won't be visiting the restaurant again. What a shame ☹️

The ambiance is truly beautiful—if you like a rustic, rustic style, you'll feel right at home here. The staff was also very friendly and attentive, nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with the portions. I had a pasta dish for over 18 euros, and my companion had a steak with fried potatoes for over 30 euros—both portions were tiny. Honestly, I've never had such small portions in a restaurant, and at these prices. I wasn't even full. Especially with pasta and potatoes, which don't cost much to produce, they could have been a bit more generous. It's a shame, because the atmosphere and service would have made for a lovely evening—but the value for money here isn't right at all.

I went to the Pfannekuchenhaus with a group of ten people. The restaurant's ambiance is vintage and cozy. The menu is extensive and offers pancakes as well as classic meat dishes. The service is friendly and prompt. The pancakes themselves were consistently a bit too mushy and bland. Almost twenty euros is too much for that.

We spontaneously stopped by here today during our bike ride and were drawn in by the rustic ambiance. The restaurant has a lot of charm and we really liked it. We were served quickly and very kindly by Angelina. We ordered a pancake and a creamed schnitzel. They offered bread and dip on the house beforehand. The portions were so large that we could barely finish them. We found both very tasty. We deducted one point because the cream sauce felt more like gravy, and the homemade drink tasted like still sparkling wine (instead of a mixed berry drink). The menu is very appealing and varied—we'd love to come back and try everything. It's also worth mentioning that they have "theme days" during the week. Different schnitzels on Mondays, steak on Tuesdays, etc. There's something for everyone.

The schnitzels are the best 👍 Cozy and rustic, if you like that kind of food, this is the place for you.

I'm not really sure how to handle awarding stars. I've been coming to this restaurant for years, and friends keep coming back because they've been very satisfied. Both with the location and with the food and the staff. Unfortunately, over the past six months or so, I've noticed that a lot has changed. For the worse. Be it when taking orders – it often takes longer than in the past. Or the food! A lot has changed here. Pancakes are often more than brown. The apple strudel was almost hard to eat with a saw because it was still partially frozen. (I returned it). The bill was incorrectly listed. The other table's charge was also listed. It seems like there's been a hectic mess there recently. I've been wondering if a new owner has taken over. Since I've always been well served there for at least seven years and have been extremely satisfied, I won't give up hope that the sometimes unsatisfactory service is just a temporary occurrence. The staff was and still is very friendly, but sometimes they seem a bit overwhelmed. During busy times, I'm very understanding, but during a manageable visit, things should run smoothly. Since I've always been extremely satisfied over the years, I hope this was just a temporary exception and will check it out on my next visit. It would be a shame to lose the previously excellent reputation.

Hello, I'd heard a lot about the Jägerhof Holderberg and seen it on TikTok, and today I decided to try the restaurant for a family celebration. My attempt to reserve a table via the website was unsuccessful. No confirmation. I got on my bike and asked for a table on site, but was given an uncomfortable table with a bar stool in the lobby. 😕 After half an hour and upon request, I was able to place my order. Unfortunately, they were out of fillet steak! 😏 I accepted the recommendation to order a rump steak (300g) with fried potatoes, requesting that the steak be served medium rare. I received a steak weighing a maximum of 200-250g, which was closer to medium-well done. Overall, the service was very "reserved." Drinks are available upon request. I was disappointed and really can't recommend this place, especially considering the ambitious prices.

Yes. They offer delicious pancakes with savory or sweet toppings, among other things. They're very generous and well-filled. Anything you don't manage to finish can be packed up and taken away upon request.

We ate at the Jägerhof on Friday and were unfortunately a bit disappointed. They were out of orange soda and fries, something I've never experienced before... My tomato soup was delicious, as was my pancake. My companion's dessert was also forgotten... The Jägerhof has seen better days.

We gathered at the Jägerhof with about 35 people on a Saturday evening for a class reunion. As discussed, the bar and the adjoining room were reserved for us. There were no complaints during the reunion, and a post-reunion survey revealed that everyone was very satisfied with both the food and the service.

Quaint, great staff and food always a pleasure

Very good food, a lovely and peaceful outdoor atmosphere. The meat dish was served with a (permanently) hot stone for self-grilling. A wide selection of dishes was available. There was an outdoor play area for children. Very friendly and competent staff – especially the nice waiter, who, much to the surprise of the other guests at the table, played along brilliantly when settling the bill without anyone knowing! :)

Canceling a Lieferando order after more than 30 minutes is simply poor service. If you can't or don't want to deliver, you should cancel immediately so you can look elsewhere.

Hmm, sometimes yes, sometimes no. We were there with nine people. Long waiting times, etc. Five dishes were highly questionable. Four were satisfactory. The service was friendly and attentive. I don't know if that's enough to warrant a return visit. Even a real hand-painted Breughel wouldn't help.

Three of us went to eat at the Jägerhof on Friday. The food and service were impeccable! Our meal was delicious! We had creamed schnitzel with fries, salad, baked potatoes with quark, and vegetables. Salad! It all came at the same time. 👍👍

I honestly wonder how this restaurant gets its customers. The food was bland and uninspiring. First, we had to wait a long time for our drinks and then for the food. Well, that's not entirely true, because the "first" food arrived quite quickly. We were there with a group of 10 people, and almost everyone received their food at different times. I've NEVER experienced anything like this in a restaurant before!!! My ordered dish was the spinach pancake with Béarnaise sauce and a fried egg. When my food arrived, I asked the waiter if I could still get the Béarnaise sauce. He said it was already in the pancake. After wondering why no sauce appeared during my meal, I showed the waiter the inside of my pancake, and he must have been told that the sauce was out. This kind of information MUST be provided when ordering! The fried egg also resembled a size XS egg. Other dishes at our table were more of a disaster than a delicious, solid meal. The salad was a tragedy, the sauces were flavorless and all extremely watery. The drinks were also so watery (just a guess) that you could only guess they were supposed to be Fanta or Coke. Conclusion: All in all, a complete disappointment. We definitely won't be coming back. P.S. The restroom area was also a disaster. No soap or hand towels, mold under the ceiling, and a generally unkempt area. I think this area, in particular, says a lot about a restaurant!

I'm extremely disappointed. The service was extremely different from the orders. Dishes were brought out with missing sauces. Only after asking did they ask the kitchen and were told "No more" (but it was served). The restrooms are absolutely terrible. It stinks strongly of chlorine, and I didn't want to know what kind of liquid my shoe was standing in. I think the soap is watered down, the mold on the ceiling hangs over your head when you pee, and there are no towels to dry yourself with.

Something has changed there (changed ownership?) Unfortunately, not in a positive direction. Barely 40 minutes after ordering, we received a message saying the pancake batter was out and needed to be made again... It took a correspondingly long time for our food to arrive; we had to wait about 90 minutes. (There were a maximum of four tables occupied at the time.) No batter in a pancake house... Then the food arrived, and we had canned mushrooms!!! in watery sauce on the pancakes and Jägerschnitzel. Furthermore, the spritzer bottles weren't clean, so we had dirty glasses and canned mushrooms, and long waits... Criticism was heard but not accepted or acted upon. As a result, we canceled a planned and reserved family celebration there. We won't be going there again for the time being.

Only to a limited extent. We were there with a larger group, and hardly anyone was particularly impressed with the food. My wife and I ordered pancakes because the restaurant advertises them. However, they were barely edible because the batter had a consistency reminiscent of mashed potatoes. I can't really recommend the restaurant.

We just returned from dinner. We both had the "Goldsmith Pancake" dish. The menu description is very appealing and inviting. We were greeted very quickly by a friendly server. The drinks arrived fairly quickly. The food we ordered also arrived shortly afterward. Unfortunately, the portions on the plate were very little in line with our expectations. The pancake with the three grilled beef medallions was half buried under a thick "pepper cream sauce." This almost tasteless roux had nothing to do with a pepper cream sauce, except for a few peppercorns. The pancake had since softened under the "sauce." Simply a disaster. The only positive aspect of our visit was the friendly service. The dishes on the menu evoked high hopes for a culinary experience. Unfortunately, the reality was different. The beer garden looks unkempt, with withered plants, etc. Overall, we had the impression that a lot of furniture had been used that had already been discarded elsewhere. A lot of it didn't fit together. The beer garden doesn't invite you to linger for long. Unfortunately, it was a wasted evening for us.

Five of us went there for dinner today. Hussein served us very courteously. The portions were freshly prepared and plentiful, enough to satisfy everyone. The restaurant is nicely decorated. We'd be happy to come back.

It was recommended to me by colleagues on a business trip. I was totally amazed by the service and the quality of the food. I'll be happy to go back next time I'm in Duisburg.

We had dinner here with our family some time ago – everything was fine then, overall satisfactory. Due to the beautiful location, we wanted to sit in the beer garden again this time with our family (nine people) and spend a cozy evening. At first, things went relatively well: The drinks arrived promptly, and we were asked if everything was okay. However, the draft Coke was lacking carbonation, to which the server replied that it was probably out of carbonation and they had run out. As the meal progressed, we were repeatedly served by different servers, which made things confusing. We waited an additional 15 minutes for the last dish; after asking, it arrived five minutes later. Later, we learned from another server that they had carbonation again. On our first visit, the "Feldschlösschen" malt beer was already out – unfortunately, it was again this time. However, we weren't informed in advance and were given Vitamalz instead, which was a bit unfortunate. The quality of the drinks fluctuated even with subsequent orders: sometimes the Coke was fine, then again it was still. Non-alcoholic wheat beer was also unavailable. Overall, we had to wait a very long time for drinks on average. Opinions were divided among our group when it came to the food: only 2 out of 9 people were truly satisfied. Some dishes were barely seasoned, the steak and one pancake were unfortunately very burnt, and the salad was simply sad. My Pancake Bombay was delicious! The generous portions of the pancakes and schnitzel deserve a mention. It was also somewhat disappointing that the menus – as on our first visit – were very dirty. Back then, we had chalked it up to being busy, but this time it was less busy. In the end, we waited a very long time for a new Coke, which never arrived. The bill arrived 20 minutes after we asked for it, and then we waited another 10 minutes to pay, as the server immediately turned around and walked away. Only when we got up did the employee arrive. Conclusion: The location is truly beautiful and has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, our second visit was a disaster in terms of food. We hope this will be taken as constructive feedback to improve processes and service – however, we ourselves will not be returning and cannot currently recommend the restaurant.

We went there for the first time today and won't be back. A handful of linguine with four prawns for 23 euros, a mediocre pancake drenched in powdered sugar with a tiny slice of melon for 16 euros. That was pretty outrageous. The only positive thing to say is that the salads were good. The best thing about our visit was the friendly waitress.

Such a wonderful and quaint restaurant is very rare these days!! We came here with our friends. You feel at home as soon as you walk in. Very diverse and quaint decor and a lovely outdoor area. The menu is varied and a bit different than usual, but in a good way. The staff was quick and very friendly. I'm glad I found this restaurant and will definitely go back!! Keep it up!!

It's been an up and down experience over the past few years. We've been coming to the Jägerhof regularly for years. Unfortunately, it's been mediocre to bad for some time now. The food isn't completely bad, but overall it's not consistent and, above all, not worth the price. For example, in my Jägerhof filet pan meal, the fried potatoes weren't properly fried and were swimming in oil. The food was really bland and boring in taste. Okay, you can add salt and pepper yourself, but that alone isn't enough for a dish costing around €23. My wife's meal didn't arrive completely, and the rest wasn't served for a good 10 minutes. Her food was cold. Much more attention, for example, with drinks, would be highly recommended. Every time someone doesn't ask for drinks or, for example, dessert, is a missed opportunity to make money. Overall, I'm afraid I can't recommend it at the moment. Maybe we'll try it again sometime, but we have to notice a clear improvement, otherwise there are other good places.

We were there last night with four people. We waited two hours for the food. Something went wrong in the kitchen. No one asked if we wanted something to drink. The food came at different times so we couldn't eat together. The pancakes were lukewarm. The Holstein schnitzel came with a mini fried egg. The fries were inedible as they were way too salty. They didn't even bring more mayonnaise when we asked for it. I complained about the food and pointed out that I wouldn't pay for it. The server then canceled the order and we got a free drink.

Simply delicious home-cooked food, with very friendly service. Delicious appetizers that everyone should try. The ambiance is simply a matter of taste.

We ordered three main courses. The schnitzel came first and was good. The Jägerhof pan-fried dish arrived 10 minutes later and was unbearably cold and swimming in oil. Nice beer garden, but unfortunately it was our last visit.

Yesterday I went to the Jägerhof for the first time with two friends. We sat in the beer garden, which I think has a nice atmosphere, but is also a bit old and disorganized. I find the old coffee garden more off-putting than inviting. Unfortunately, guests come out from inside to smoke and just stand anywhere, leaving you sitting in the smoke. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food came (almost) at the same time. I was glad I decided at the last minute to go for the Wiener Schnitzel instead of a pancake. So much curry sauce was oozing from the Bombay pancake that you couldn't see any batter anymore. The Allerlei pancake had so much cheese on it that you could hardly see any batter. It's fine for those who like it, but a bit overdone for my taste. The schnitzel was very tasty and plentiful, but the fried potatoes were unfortunately very greasy and mushy. For me, another visit there is unfortunately not worth it.

What a disappointment 😞 I've been meaning to eat there for some time. I discovered the Jägerhof through TikTok! I thought the ambiance was good, it would be perfect for the next company party, but the service is terrible 👎🏻 We ordered salads with our meal, but they never arrived. After I asked the first time, I was told they were coming! After the second time, I gave up 🤷 Well, that can happen, I asked for the bill and said it would have been nice if we'd gotten our salads! He apologized several times. At the end, we would have liked a Coke and a water 🤣🤣🤣 what can I say 😉 we didn't get either. Okay, guys, that's it for us.

Simply wonderful, every time. I can't live without regularly eating my sheep's cheese pan there. The service is always first-class, and it feels like "coming home."

We've known the place for decades and celebrated our wedding there. After a long break, we returned for pancakes and were terribly disappointed. The beer garden was rundown and old. The good old hunter's pancake wasn't what it used to be. Unfortunately, the taste was reminiscent of a ready-made powder with lots of e-ingredients... It had nothing to do with Bolognese. The tuna version was a kind of pizza with lots of processed cheese. The house rose wine was undrinkable, and even the side salad wasn't good. It was also a ready-made mix, and the many brown spots weren't appetizing... A real shame.

Unfortunately, the waitress provided incorrect information. Two children's menus for €8 were ordered. The waitress asked, "Large or small?" The children exclaimed loudly. My question as to whether this was still the children's menu was answered with a yes, also because the sauces were supposed to be served separately. The bottom line: they were charged for two adult portions, and an extra €10 for the sauces. An extremely expensive treat...

Unfortunately not so good that day.

Guys, you've let your guard down. We were there today and were more than disappointed. My pancake was supposed to have olives, but it didn't come with any. Then the waitress came and brought it with capers and thought I was stupid enough not to notice. The general cleanliness of the tables, cutlery, and restrooms leaves a lot to be desired. No vanilla ice cream left. My daughter ordered ice cream with seasonal fruit, and then the ice cream arrived with a sliced ​​strawberry and a wafer-thin slice of orange. Google what "seasonal fruit" means! We had to ask for toilet paper three times. And the cutting of the bread in the middle of the aisle – simply wonderful: first the cashier, then through your hair, and then cutting the bread. To top it all off, I got my pants caught on something sticky under the table. I feel really sorry for the money I spent that evening.

We visited spontaneously and received a very warm welcome. Very friendly staff. A large selection of drinks and food. We enjoyed it immensely and were delighted. We'll definitely be back. A very pleasant surprise. Thank you for this.

We went there for the first time today with high expectations, having discovered the restaurant on social media. We were disappointed when we ordered our drinks: wheat beer was sold out (early evening on a Monday). We were looking forward to the seasonal asparagus menu, which was advertised on social media. Unfortunately, it was also sold out. The restaurant itself was rather quiet, however. Nevertheless, we wanted to give the place a chance. Our two meals arrived within 10 minutes of each other, so the first was already cold before the second even arrived. The taste was good, but the price/performance ratio was rather poor. The Holstein-style schnitzel came with a few fried potatoes and only one fried egg, which was a bit lean. My companion didn't feel full. The pasta with prawns was pleasing, but there were hardly any pasta and the cherry tomatoes were also missing. There was a lot of chili on the plate, which made the food borderline spicy. Overall, a rather expensive and unsatisfying visit. Should we give this place another chance? Maybe for pancakes, we'll see.

Perfect for good meat. Steaks cooked on a hot stone. Excellent goulash soup. Rustic atmosphere, great beer garden.

The price-performance ratio seems to be right, and the salads are very large. They'd easily feed 10-15 rabbits! 😉

We had a delicious dinner one evening in May, and we were both satisfied. The menu is very extensive, so there should be something for everyone. There are also seasonal and daily specials. The atmosphere is very cozy, the service is extremely friendly, and we didn't find it too expensive. Parking is available right outside. The beer garden also looked cozy, but it wasn't open due to the weather.

The various schnitzel variations are definitely recommended. The daily specials are also definitely worth a look! The service itself is very friendly and quick, but you do have to wait a bit longer for drinks compared to other restaurants. We still enjoy coming here (it's really nice outside, especially) and are happy to wait a few minutes...

The Jägerhof is a great restaurant! But people are divided when it comes to the food. I've only tried pancakes so far and have never had any complaints. Others, however, have found clear flaws in other dishes. Be it the meat that wasn't cooked all the way through or the food that was unfortunately already cold. I find the ambiance very nice in its rustic style. I think the prices are reasonable. Ultimately, I can recommend the Jägerhof.

We've been coming here for years, but today was the last time. Let me start from the beginning. It took a good half hour before we were served, and with two people it's still acceptable, even these days with staffing problems. When we placed our orders and got the starters (onion soup), where the soup wasn't very tasty and the bread in it wasn't from the day before but from three days ago, so you couldn't chew it, I slowly started to lose my mood. But when it was time for us to get the food, my father was the first to get his. That was all well and good, we got our food half an hour later and my father was finished. I wonder how this happens when you're busy working the tables in the kitchen. The food was definitely too greasy, everything was dripping in oil, and after my father examined his food more closely and realized that they thought they could serve the dish the customer wanted with products without pointing it out to the customer or asking, it was a disgrace. My father had a farmer's pancake, which is usually with mettwurst. Instead of mettwurst, my father got salami and grilled bratwurst, these small ones. Now find the mistake. The boss didn't even have the courage to listen to it or to justify himself, what a pathetic thing to do. When you run a place like that, you have to take responsibility for your mistakes. The service was super friendly and helped us. My mother and I had our food packed up. We were fed up of waiting. You don't see us there anymore, which is a shame, but this place is pathetic these days, too expensive to have to subject yourself to a meal like that. If you want to go out for a nice, delicious meal, you'd be better off going somewhere else. But not there.

It's very nice to sit outside in the beer garden. I ordered an unusual dish for this place, zander fillet, but it was on the menu. My conclusion is, don't experiment but take what is offered. There are meat and pancake dishes that do well and are popular. Other things can be left alone. At least a 4+ for ambience

We were at the Jägerhof with 7 people on a Tuesday evening. I had already read the reviews and warned my people that it would be better to avoid schnitzel and fried potatoes if someone didn't want a lot of oil and mushy potatoes on their plate; So no one has tried it! 2 of us had pancakes (1x tuna, 1x half hunter with minced meat sauce), both came to the table lukewarm and the cakes themselves were very doughy and soggy. Not how we imagine a nice, crispy flatbread. A lot doesn't always help. You had to look for the meat in the (homemade) goulash soup and it wasn't hot either. The 2 meat dishes (grilled sirloin steak and steak on the hot stone) were very good, so the quality of the meat! My farmer's pan contained 3 tiny pieces of meat, buried under a no longer present "mushroom cream sauce" and a pile of mushy "grilled vegetables". Nothing really hot. I ordered the sauce, unfortunately it really wasn't a cream sauce and everything melted back into a watery affair on the plate. We were lucky with our service. The young man was attentive and enjoyed laughing with us, even joining in on the odd joke. The serving of the food also went well, unlike some reviews where the first person finished eating before the last person got theirs. We were lucky here too! Conclusion: we had a wonderful, relaxed evening with a nice and super cool waiter, the atmosphere was nice, a bit rustic... just the way we like it! Only the food leaves a lot to be desired, which unfortunately doesn't fit the price-performance ratio at all. Unfortunately there is no option for us to visit the Jägerhof again!

It's a shame, the food was partly good and partly not. The steak was very good, the pork loin skewer was subpar. The ambience is partly rustic, but that's not a defect, rather the entrance area is very run down. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

This rating has changed over the years, just as the Jagerhof Holderberg has probably changed over the years. Unfortunately we left again today after 60 minutes of nothing accomplished. Nothing drank and nothing ate. There was simply no one coming.

We were there with 9 people, after waiting over 1:45 hours for the food and the last three dishes were still not there, in the meantime the others had already finished their food, so we left. Without words!

Good, home-style cooking, friendly and fast service. We didn't have to wait long for our food, even though it was a Sunday and rush hour, and best of all, it was reasonably priced. We'll definitely be back again.

There were four of us and we were completely satisfied from the reservation to the nightcap. Nice welcome, a rustic, beautiful and original Jägerhof ambience to feel good. Given the great weather, we decided to go to the beer garden. There was a great atmosphere there too. The service was prompt, friendly and made special requests possible immediately. Attractive ambience and beautiful beer garden. That's about it. Schnitzel Holstein warmed up as well as the fried potatoes, which don't deserve their name, more like steamed potatoes, so not crispy but mushy. It might be worth a visit for a beer in the beer garden.
