Canceling a Lieferando order after more than 30 minutes is simply poor service. If you can't or don't want to deliver, you should cancel immediately so you can look elsewhere.

Hmm, sometimes yes, sometimes no. We were there with nine people. Long waiting times, etc. Five dishes were highly questionable. Four were satisfactory. The service was friendly and attentive. I don't know if that's enough to warrant a return visit. Even a real hand-painted Breughel wouldn't help.

Three of us went to eat at the Jägerhof on Friday. The food and service were impeccable! Our meal was delicious! We had creamed schnitzel with fries, salad, baked potatoes with quark, and vegetables. Salad! It all came at the same time. 👍👍

We were there today with friends and were a group of 10 people. The service was attentive, but the food was the worst I've ever been served in a restaurant! The pan-fried prawns were completely inedible, and the rump steak was at best satisfactory. The food was served inappropriately and not together, so some people had almost finished their meals. The ambiance was okay... but the restrooms and the hygiene conditions there were disgraceful. For us and my friends, it was definitely the first and last time.

I honestly wonder how this restaurant gets its customers. The food was bland and uninspiring. First, we had to wait a long time for our drinks and then for the food. Well, that's not entirely true, because the "first" food arrived quite quickly. We were there with a group of 10 people, and almost everyone received their food at different times. I've NEVER experienced anything like this in a restaurant before!!! My ordered dish was the spinach pancake with Béarnaise sauce and a fried egg. When my food arrived, I asked the waiter if I could still get the Béarnaise sauce. He said it was already in the pancake. After wondering why no sauce appeared during my meal, I showed the waiter the inside of my pancake, and he must have been told that the sauce was out. This kind of information MUST be provided when ordering! The fried egg also resembled a size XS egg. Other dishes at our table were more of a disaster than a delicious, solid meal. The salad was a tragedy, the sauces were flavorless and all extremely watery. The drinks were also so watery (just a guess) that you could only guess they were supposed to be Fanta or Coke. Conclusion: All in all, a complete disappointment. We definitely won't be coming back. P.S. The restroom area was also a disaster. No soap or hand towels, mold under the ceiling, and a generally unkempt area. I think this area, in particular, says a lot about a restaurant!

We went to the Jägerhof with a group of ten people, piqued by TikTok videos. Unfortunately, we were disappointed overall. The drinks arrived quickly, but the food took a very long time to arrive. When it finally arrived, the sauces were far too thin, the sweet potatoes were far too dry, and the fried potatoes had barely any roasted flavor. Furthermore, the food arrived in an inappropriate order, so some people were served significantly later. Overall, it was unfortunately not the experience we had hoped for. For us, it was probably the first and last time.

I'm extremely disappointed. The service was extremely different from the orders. Dishes were brought out with missing sauces. Only after asking did they ask the kitchen and were told "No more" (but it was served). The restrooms are absolutely terrible. It stinks strongly of chlorine, and I didn't want to know what kind of liquid my shoe was standing in. I think the soap is watered down, the mold on the ceiling hangs over your head when you pee, and there are no towels to dry yourself with.

It was my first visit. The atmosphere was very nice, even if it was a bit noisy due to the crowd. The food was delicious and could easily be prepared with extras. There was certainly enough to fill you up. The main course took a little longer to arrive, but the restaurant was full. Our server, Angelina, was really nice, very attentive, and served us well. Only to a limited extent. We were there with a larger group, and hardly anyone was particularly impressed with the food. My wife and I ordered pancakes because the restaurant advertises them. However, they were barely edible because the batter had a consistency reminiscent of mashed potatoes. I can't really recommend the restaurant.

Something has changed there (changed ownership?) Unfortunately, not in a positive direction. Barely 40 minutes after ordering, we received a message saying the pancake batter was out and needed to be made again... It took a correspondingly long time for our food to arrive; we had to wait about 90 minutes. (There were a maximum of four tables occupied at the time.) No batter in a pancake house... Then the food arrived, and we had canned mushrooms!!! in watery sauce on the pancakes and Jägerschnitzel. Furthermore, the spritzer bottles weren't clean, so we had dirty glasses and canned mushrooms, and long waits... Criticism was heard but not accepted or acted upon. As a result, we canceled a planned and reserved family celebration there. We won't be going there again for the time being.

The drinks arrived fairly quickly. The food we ordered also arrived shortly afterward. Unfortunately, the portions on the plate were very little in line with our expectations. The pancake with the three grilled beef medallions was half buried under a thick "pepper cream sauce." This almost tasteless roux had nothing to do with a pepper cream sauce, except for a few peppercorns. The pancake had since softened under the "sauce." Simply a disaster. The only positive aspect of our visit was the friendly service. The dishes on the menu evoked high hopes for a culinary experience. Unfortunately, the reality was different. The beer garden looks unkempt, with withered plants, etc. Overall, we had the impression that a lot of furniture had been used that had already been discarded elsewhere. A lot of it didn't fit together. The beer garden doesn't invite you to linger for long. Unfortunately, it was a wasted evening for us.

Five of us went there for dinner today. Hussein served us very courteously. The portions were freshly prepared and plentiful, enough to satisfy everyone. The restaurant is nicely decorated. We'd be happy to come back.

We had dinner here with our family some time ago – everything was fine then, overall satisfactory. Due to the beautiful location, we wanted to sit in the beer garden again this time with our family (nine people) and spend a cozy evening. At first, things went relatively well: The drinks arrived promptly, and we were asked if everything was okay. However, the draft Coke was lacking carbonation, to which the server replied that it was probably out of carbonation and they had run out. As the meal progressed, we were repeatedly served by different servers, which made things confusing. We waited an additional 15 minutes for the last dish; after asking, it arrived five minutes later. Later, we learned from another server that they had carbonation again. On our first visit, the "Feldschlösschen" malt beer was already out – unfortunately, it was again this time. However, we weren't informed in advance and were given Vitamalz instead, which was a bit unfortunate. The quality of the drinks fluctuated even with subsequent orders: sometimes the Coke was fine, then again it was still. Non-alcoholic wheat beer was also unavailable. Overall, we had to wait a very long time for drinks on average. Opinions were divided among our group when it came to the food: only 2 out of 9 people were truly satisfied. Some dishes were barely seasoned, the steak and one pancake were unfortunately very burnt, and the salad was simply sad. My Pancake Bombay was delicious! The generous portions of the pancakes and schnitzel deserve a mention. It was also somewhat disappointing that the menus – as on our first visit – were very dirty. Back then, we had chalked it up to being busy, but this time it was less busy. In the end, we waited a very long time for a new Coke, which never arrived. The bill arrived 20 minutes after we asked for it, and then we waited another 10 minutes to pay, as the server immediately turned around and walked away. Only when we got up did the employee arrive. Conclusion: The location is truly beautiful and has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, our second visit was a disaster in terms of food. We hope this will be taken as constructive feedback to improve processes and service – however, we ourselves will not be returning and cannot currently recommend the restaurant.

We went there for the first time today and won't be back. A handful of linguine with four prawns for 23 euros, a mediocre pancake drenched in powdered sugar with a tiny slice of melon for 16 euros. Such a wonderful and quaint restaurant is very rare these days!! We came here with our friends. You feel at home as soon as you walk in. Very diverse and quaint decor and a lovely outdoor area. It's been an up and down experience over the past few years. We've been coming to the Jägerhof regularly for years. Unfortunately, it's been mediocre to bad for some time now. The food isn't completely bad, but overall it's not consistent and, above all, not worth the price. For example, in my Jägerhof filet pan meal, the fried potatoes weren't properly fried and were swimming in oil. The food was really bland and boring in taste. Okay, you can add salt and pepper yourself, but that alone isn't enough for a dish costing around €23. My wife's meal didn't arrive completely, and the rest wasn't served for a good 10 minutes. Her food was cold. Much more attention, for example, with drinks, would be highly recommended. Every time someone doesn't ask for drinks or, for example, dessert, is a missed opportunity to make money. Overall, I'm afraid I can't recommend it at the moment. Maybe we'll try it again sometime, but we have to notice a clear improvement, otherwise there are other good places.

We were there last night with four people. We waited two hours for the food. Something went wrong in the kitchen. No one asked if we wanted something to drink. The food came at different times so we couldn't eat together. The pancakes were lukewarm. The Holstein schnitzel came with a mini fried egg. The fries were inedible as they were way too salty. They didn't even bring more mayonnaise when we asked for it. I complained about the food and pointed out that I wouldn't pay for it. The server then canceled the order and we got a free drink.

Yesterday I went to the Jägerhof for the first time with two friends. We sat in the beer garden, which I think has a nice atmosphere, but is also a bit old and disorganized. I find the old coffee garden more off-putting than inviting. Unfortunately, guests come out from inside to smoke and just stand anywhere, leaving you sitting in the smoke. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food came (almost) at the same time. I was glad I decided at the last minute to go for the Wiener Schnitzel instead of a pancake. So much curry sauce was oozing from the Bombay pancake that you couldn't see any batter anymore. The Allerlei pancake had so much cheese on it that you could hardly see any batter. It's fine for those who like it, but a bit overdone for my taste. The schnitzel was very tasty and plentiful, but the fried potatoes were unfortunately very greasy and mushy. For me, another visit there is unfortunately not worth it.

We've known the place for decades and celebrated our wedding there. After a long break, we returned for pancakes and were terribly disappointed. The beer garden was rundown and old. The good old hunter's pancake wasn't what it used to be. Unfortunately, the taste was reminiscent of a ready-made powder with lots of e-ingredients... It had nothing to do with Bolognese. The tuna version was a kind of pizza with lots of processed cheese. The house rose wine was undrinkable, and even the side salad wasn't good. It was also a ready-made mix, and the many brown spots weren't appetizing... A real shame.

Unfortunately, the waitress provided incorrect information. Two children's menus for €8 were ordered. The waitress asked, "Large or small?" The children exclaimed loudly. My question as to whether this was still the children's menu was answered with a yes, also because the sauces were supposed to be served separately. The bottom line: they were charged for two adult portions, and an extra €10 for the sauces. An extremely expensive treat...

Guys, you've let your guard down. We were there today and were more than disappointed. My pancake was supposed to have olives, but it didn't come with any. Then the waitress came and brought it with capers and thought I was stupid enough not to notice. The general cleanliness of the tables, cutlery, and restrooms leaves a lot to be desired. No vanilla ice cream left. My daughter ordered ice cream with seasonal fruit, and then the ice cream arrived with a sliced ​​strawberry and a wafer-thin slice of orange. Google what "seasonal fruit" means! We had to ask for toilet paper three times. And the cutting of the bread in the middle of the aisle – simply wonderful: first the cashier, then through your hair, and then cutting the bread. To top it all off, I got my pants caught on something sticky under the table. I feel really sorry for the money I spent that evening.

We were disappointed when we ordered our drinks: wheat beer was sold out (early evening on a Monday). We were looking forward to the seasonal asparagus menu, which was advertised on social media. Unfortunately, it was also sold out. The restaurant itself was rather quiet, however. Nevertheless, we wanted to give the place a chance. Our two meals arrived within 10 minutes of each other, so the first was already cold before the second even arrived. The taste was good, but the price/performance ratio was rather poor. The Holstein-style schnitzel came with a few fried potatoes and only one fried egg, which was a bit lean. My companion didn't feel full. The pasta with prawns was pleasing, but there were hardly any pasta and the cherry tomatoes were also missing. There was a lot of chili on the plate, which made the food borderline spicy. Overall, a rather expensive and unsatisfying visit. Should we give this place another chance? Maybe for pancakes, we'll see.

We had a delicious dinner one evening in May, and we were both satisfied. The menu is very extensive, so there should be something for everyone. There are also seasonal and daily specials. The atmosphere is very cozy, the service is extremely friendly, and we didn't find it too expensive. Parking is available right outside. The beer garden also looked cozy, but it wasn't open due to the weather.

It took a good half hour before we were served, and with two people it's still acceptable, even these days with staffing problems. When we placed our orders and got the starters (onion soup), where the soup wasn't very tasty and the bread in it wasn't from the day before but from three days ago, so you couldn't chew it, I slowly started to lose my mood. But when it was time for us to get the food, my father was the first to get his. That was all well and good, we got our food half an hour later and my father was finished. I wonder how this happens when you're busy working the tables in the kitchen. The food was definitely too greasy, everything was dripping in oil, and after my father examined his food more closely and realized that they thought they could serve the dish the customer wanted with products without pointing it out to the customer or asking, it was a disgrace. My father had a farmer's pancake, which is usually with mettwurst. Instead of mettwurst, my father got salami and grilled bratwurst, these small ones. Now find the mistake. The boss didn't even have the courage to listen to it or to justify himself, what a pathetic thing to do. When you run a place like that, you have to take responsibility for your mistakes. The service was super friendly and helped us. My mother and I had our food packed up. We were fed up of waiting. You don't see us there anymore, which is a shame, but this place is pathetic these days, too expensive to have to subject yourself to a meal like that. If you want to go out for a nice, delicious meal, you'd be better off going somewhere else. But not there.

It's very nice to sit outside in the beer garden. I ordered an unusual dish for this place, zander fillet, but it was on the menu. My conclusion is, don't experiment but take what is offered. There are meat and pancake dishes that do well and are popular. Other things can be left alone. At least a 4+ for ambience

We were at the Jägerhof with 7 people on a Tuesday evening. I had already read the reviews and warned my people that it would be better to avoid schnitzel and fried potatoes if someone didn't want a lot of oil and mushy potatoes on their plate; So no one has tried it! 2 of us had pancakes (1x tuna, 1x half hunter with minced meat sauce), both came to the table lukewarm and the cakes themselves were very doughy and soggy. Not how we imagine a nice, crispy flatbread. A lot doesn't always help. You had to look for the meat in the (homemade) goulash soup and it wasn't hot either. The 2 meat dishes (grilled sirloin steak and steak on the hot stone) were very good, so the quality of the meat! My farmer's pan contained 3 tiny pieces of meat, buried under a no longer present "mushroom cream sauce" and a pile of mushy "grilled vegetables". Nothing really hot. I ordered the sauce, unfortunately it really wasn't a cream sauce and everything melted back into a watery affair on the plate. We were lucky with our service. The young man was attentive and enjoyed laughing with us, even joining in on the odd joke. The serving of the food also went well, unlike some reviews where the first person finished eating before the last person got theirs. We were lucky here too! Conclusion: we had a wonderful, relaxed evening with a nice and super cool waiter, the atmosphere was nice, a bit rustic... just the way we like it! Only the food leaves a lot to be desired, which unfortunately doesn't fit the price-performance ratio at all. Unfortunately there is no option for us to visit the Jägerhof again!

We were there on Saturday, and admittedly, it was very busy. However, in my opinion, it's not okay to have to wait half an hour before you could place a drink order. Our food order was taken another 15 minutes later. The staff gave us mixed impressions: from exemplary attentiveness and extremely friendly to just barely acceptable. After ordering, it took another 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive—we were put off in the meantime—and we waited over 60 minutes for the food. The food itself was great: my steak was cooked to perfection. Thank you for serving the sauce separately.

A very cozy restaurant. We were there for the third time and will come more often. The occupancy rate is very high, so you should reserve in advance. The service staff have their hands full and are very friendly and helpful, but at peak times, when all tables are full, you have to wait a while for your drinks. But as I said, once all the tables have something it will be noticeably better. But personally, I would rather go to a restaurant that is busy than one where you can count the guests on one hand. When it's always busy, the ingredients are always fresh and the store is healthy. I'm already looking forward to the next visit...

Unfortunately there was no bread for the starter platter (some meat and fish). The fried potatoes in all 4 dishes were very mushy and partly discolored. At first I thought it was mushrooms or something. It looked indefinable. I told the waiter and showed it because I didn't eat it, but unfortunately there was no response. The schnitzel was okay. With the cappucino there was a walnut-sized piece of dry cake. This tasted like stale bread. But my dog ​​was happy about it. It would have been better to leave that out entirely instead of adding old, stale cake. The pancakes were good, unfortunately the cream was from the spray bottle. If the food had been great, the hefty price for everything would have been okay. But....Unfortunately no. We won't come back again. The ambience is great but unfortunately that's it.

Starter of porcini mushroom soup, which was good, I'm cautious about claiming that it was seasoned with flavor enhancers, but it tasted as I said! The starter plate was very meager and for the price you could have had some bread with it! The main course Jägerschnitzel was far from the Jägersauce, more like cream schnitzel! The cream sauce was mixed way too thick and definitely helped with an amplifier, portion was good but the biggest disaster was the fried potatoes!!! They were definitely greasy and mushy out of the package! Hardly edible! The dessert was so-so! Cream from the spray can!!! A no-go when it comes to prices! The staff was actually very nice except for the waiter who probably missed our criticism....otherwise the rest of the staff were very nice... Conclusion: dear Jägerhof team, I and my companions are very happy, I'm not sorry again because the ambience is really great

Nice quaint restaurant. Unfortunately the service is really bad. The drinks ordered are called out impolitely loudly in train station slang. The fact that he didn't add Digger at the end of the sentence is everything. Food is served without cutlery at the table. If you ask, you can get some... but it takes time. I ate a Jägerschnitzel which was unfortunately VERY fatty. The meat was thin (probably pounded to give it more surface area), the breading was soggy and the taste of everything, including the fried potatoes, was covered in fat. Really VERY bad for €18.50. This is how I imagine a schnitzel in a rest stop restaurant on the highway. It's a shame because the store is really nice. I would say a clear case of bad management. Absolutely no recommendation.

For an ordered pan - Cake with fresh champions we got a pizza-like part with a "mega" lot of cheese 70-80% 10-20% dough and a maximum of 5% of champions and the whole thing was so tasteless that you couldn't define what it was supposed to be!? You couldn't eat that with the best will in the world. My wife ordered a schnitzel with rösti which came straight from the fryer with very bad or very old fat, it definitely tasted that way, so my wife had heartburn all night and burped until the early morning. The pancakes made me feel very sick all night and the next morning and I vomited twice. No thanks and please never eat this food again. The ambience was actually very nice and put together with a lot of effort, but if it's too cold in the room then the food doesn't taste good. Not recommended for us, no thanks

Already here for the 3rd time. Always very good! In particular, the lava steaks (raw, which you can fry yourself on hot lava stone) are terrific.

Hello, I had dinner with my partner today and I have to be honest: Even though we've always enjoyed coming, we probably won't be coming back. Last time we waited 40 minutes for dessert because it was forgotten. And today my friend got his food within 5 minutes, while mine wasn't served until 15 minutes later, by which time he had almost eaten it. The waiter was out of the room for just a minute and then his food arrived. The food was really great, but it's impossible that we couldn't eat together. If there were four or more people, it was also possible for all dishes to be served at the same time. In addition, it was extremely cold in the room, so it was anything but comfortable to sit there. To be honest, I'm really disappointed...

First time guest here, great atmosphere, friendly and prompt service. The food from the “hot stone” convinced us, very good quality. We will definitely enjoy the outdoor dining as soon as the temperatures allow it. We also have the Jägerhof on the plan as a destination for an e-bike tour from the Lower Rhine. Recommended.

It was very cold inside. There was insufficient crew and insufficient experience. The kitchen seemed stressed with their bell. The food itself was otherwise good.

Unfortunately, the table we reserved wasn't good because it was too close to the neighboring table. A place setting was missing, even though I had specified the number of people when making the reservation. The non-alcoholic beer was way too warm. In my opinion, the “Favorite” pancake was not seasoned enough, but that is of course a matter of taste. Unfortunately, our five dishes at the table were not served at the same time, so the first ones were almost finished when the last dishes were served. It was also cleared away while people were still eating at the table. In my opinion the price is also not justified. All in all, not a recommendation in my opinion.

40min. Waited for drinks and got the food first! It was just a mess there! Order only partially received...waiter responds to complaints stroppy! Never again !

But we would still like to come back and let you convince us again.

12/25/24 The store was very full, the wait for the first drink was almost 45 minutes. Food came after 1:45h. Portions were too small for the price [€33 per leg of goose] Goose was good, red cabbage was okay, dumplings were a disaster for everyone. Ragout arrived late because it was forgotten, then without meat, then after a long time again with meat. Cleanliness of the toilets so-so. Unfortunately I wouldn't eat here again.

Unfortunately, a restaurant that makes life difficult for itself - the menu shines with quantity, but unfortunately the quality falls by the wayside! The dishes are drowned in (convenience) sauce and generously garnished with parsley. Furthermore, the kitchen cannot serve the number of tables in a timely manner, so there was a difference of over 1 hour between the first and last main course at the table. No blame for the motivated service; The crux of the matter is the overall concept! A smaller menu, less “chi-chi” and more focus on the craft of cooking instead of preparing would be nice!

We were very disappointed with the quality of our food in a very cold brisk room. We didn't have such defects before. My Jägerschnitzel was not worth the money. The cold fried potatoes, which appeared to be very large potatoes on my plate, were just one of several deficiencies. The expected mushrooms were simply missing from a sauce that was served in a small pot. My wife's pancake dish was garnished with approx. 5-6cm plastic wrap. I hope this criticism motivates you to achieve better quality in terms of food and indoor climate.

I had an appointment there on Saturday with a friend and a few other people. Unfortunately almost everyone canceled. I then ordered a delicious pineapple ham pancake because I don't like onions. This was very tasty with a curry sauce. There was even a small mixed salad and bread with herb butter. The journey with the bus and bus from Dinslaken was completely worth it. The service was also very nice and accommodating. The only thing that bothered me was the toilets, as the cubicles were very narrow. Otherwise, I can highly recommend this restaurant

Yesterday we organized a “Christmas dinner” for the employees of a clinic. The evening also exceeded all culinary expectations: Although the restaurant was very busy, the excellent food came to everyone at the same time, it was a variety of dishes and the starter platter and the dessert were lovingly prepared and tasted perfectly. The employees were extremely warm and empathetic and contributed a lot to the success of the evening. The Restaurant Jägerhof can only be highly recommended!! Nice beer garden/terrace with not the classic beer garden furniture. Service came at comfortable intervals to provide care.
