Today, six of us ate at Cafe del sol Moers. We had a table reserved for 5:00 p.m. At 5:30 p.m., a waitress came and took our drink order. After desperately trying to get attention, we were able to order our food at 6:00 p.m. Among other things, we ordered two chili cheese burgers without tomatoes and without jalapeños. We were delivered two vegan jalapeño burgers. Unfortunately, we only noticed this after our two grandchildren refused to eat them because they "tasted disgusting." My grandchildren's exact words. Complaining was impossible because there were no waiters to be seen. So we gave all the children some of our food. Drink orders were extremely slow or were completely forgotten. Empty glasses and more or less eaten plates piled up on our table until after 7:00 p.m. and were only cleared away after we pointed them out. While clearing the table, the waitress dropped some mayonnaise from the plates, which landed on an unoccupied chair. She turned around briefly, and that was that. After nothing happened, we spoke to her about it on one of her next, frugal, visits. She then fetched a rag and wiped the chair clean; the mayo on the floor wasn't on her agenda. Everyone makes mistakes, and things can go wrong, but this service was simply a complete miscast. The only positive thing about this evening was the very friendly waiter who at least canceled the incorrectly delivered burgers. We've been to Cafe del Sol many times, but after this evening, we'll be taking a longer break.

Unfortunately, the interior is far too loud. The service isn't top-notch, but it's okay. The prices are quite high.

If you just want breakfast, it's still a good alternative. The selection is limited, but the value for money is good if you opt for the buffet.

Very poor service!! We sat there for 10 minutes, and all the waiters were furious! Was there a problem?! We got up and left.

We were at Cafe Del Sol with a group of seven people. The restaurant has a cozy dining room. All of the dishes we chose were of good quality. The service was very friendly, and we felt very comfortable. Many thanks to the waitress, Supi. It was very busy, especially on the Saturday we were there, so I would recommend making a reservation. We all agreed that we would definitely come back again.

Dear Café del Sol Team, Unfortunately, we have to say that the quality of your service has declined significantly recently. During our recent visits, we repeatedly had to wait for long periods of approximately 20 to 30 minutes before we even had the chance to place our order. Afterwards, a similarly long wait often passed before the food and drinks were served – and even then, something from our order was often missing. Our last visit was particularly disappointing: There was an insect in one of our drinks. Although we were subsequently offered an alternative drink, it was not a substitute of equal quality, but rather a cheaper option. This unfortunately leaves the impression that our complaint was not taken seriously. We have enjoyed visiting Café del Sol in the past because we liked both the ambiance and the selection of food and drinks. It is all the more regrettable that we have had such negative experiences several times since then. We would very much like to see the restaurant improve its service quality, attentiveness, and customer focus so that guests feel welcome and well looked after.

The rolls for breakfast were rock-hard and dry, and the service could have been much improved. First, the drinks went missing, according to the waitress, and when paying, they were charged for items they didn't even order.

We had breakfast at Café del Sol today (February 2025). As always, everything was great. The selection was extensive and incredibly delicious. I really like the ambiance, and we always feel well looked after. The staff is on the ball, and you never have to wait long for drinks or food. See you soon.... So, my dears, today (August 25, 2025) we did it again, and this little break there is always lovely. We especially love the staff. They're really great and always have a smile on their faces.

I haven't been there for a long time and I ordered a macha that was so disgusting and only tasted like water. I paid for it but I'll never go there again.

The staff was a bit overwhelmed, but everyone was very friendly. 👍 The food was good, and the kids loved it too.

We were there for the first time today and were absolutely thrilled. Great food, fantastic ambiance, and our server, Ensar, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I've rarely encountered such a nice person. Truly fantastic!

A nice café with the usual suspects on the food and drink menu. You can also go there for brunch on weekends, but I think it's a good idea to reserve a table, as it gets quite busy on those days.

I ordered a salad. While eating, I noticed that the leaves had brownish edges, but I thought it might have been pre-cut and not quite fresh. About an hour after eating, I had severe abdominal pain. Now, overnight, too. I don't know why a store has to cut corners on salad and serve customers something spoiled. It certainly costs next to nothing to buy! UNSTORE OF THE DECADE for me!

Unfortunately, the Moers branch is declining. The service is abysmal: there are too few waiters, tables aren't cleared, and new customers wait forever to be served.

If you want a quick meal (about a 5-minute wait), this is the place to be. We were seated very comfortably. The ambiance was pleasant. Unfortunately, my girlfriend's special requests weren't really accommodated, as promised by the server at the beginning of our order. The homemade lemonade was very good, with a slightly bitter note from the raspberries. Very refreshing. Everything was perfect. 👍👍 The passion fruit iced tea was fruity and sweet, but could have been a bit colder. Then it would have definitely been even better. Still, very tasty. ☺️☺️

Wonderful cafe with very good staff and nice ambience

There was a hair in my food. Very loud, difficult to talk to. Service was poor and not as friendly as usual. Drinks were empty and food was finished, but no one came to check on me for more than 50 minutes. I used to absolutely love this place, but it's now very disappointing.

I ate a burger here, but unfortunately, the meat was disappointing. It was tough, dry, laced with tendons, and very dense—hard to chew. It lacked the juiciness and flavor you'd expect from a freshly prepared burger. It's a shame, because the rest of the ingredients were fine. I hope the quality of the meat improves in the future.

Friendly and attentive service. Wide selection of food and drinks.

We had four different dishes and drinks. They all looked good, everyone enjoyed them, and everyone was full. We even let our dog in. All in all, a very enjoyable meal with friendly service. We didn't have to wait long, either.

Overall, everything has somehow declined over the last few years. If I compare today (2025) with three years ago (2022).

I rarely write a review, but yesterday's experience deserves one. We visited Cafe del Sol in Moers for the first time yesterday and will never be returning. We had previously reserved a table for two at 5:30 p.m. via the website. We arrived promptly at 5:30 p.m., and when we told the employee that we had reserved online and received a confirmation, he told us that they don't accept online reservations. So why is this option available? After all, there was still a table for two in a completely overcrowded restaurant. As soon as we walked in, we overheard a family complaining about the filthy conditions. The tables were, and are, dirty and sticky. After we were seated at our table, it took about five minutes for our drinks to arrive. At that point, we hadn't yet selected what we wanted to eat, so the employee wanted to come back again. A good 20 minutes later, our drinks arrived – no big deal, by the way (a large and a small Coke). Instead of letting us place our food order, the employee told us he'd be right back. What can I say? The employee walked past us at least ten times and nothing happened. It wasn't until another 20 minutes later that he came back to take our food order. When we wanted to order two pinsa at around 6:30 p.m., he told us they were out of them. There must have been a complete miscalculation in the kitchen if the dishes were already out by 6:30 p.m. In any case, we were then asked to choose a new meal. Of course, you can't choose a new meal within 10 seconds, so the employee moved on, leaving us to choose something. Before we had to wait another 20-30 minutes, we decided to pay and move on. Incidentally, it was quite obvious how some tables simply went uncleared and uncleaned for 45 minutes. The service at Cafe del Sol in Moers is abysmal and haphazardly structured. Every employee is just running around somewhere, and apparently there was only one ordering device. There were about 150 people in the restaurant, many of whom had to sit outside (in the rain and 15 degrees Celsius! - the heaters were off). Anyone who wants to run such a large restaurant needs to be organized accordingly.

We were there for a birthday. The atmosphere was great and the service was very friendly. The homemade lemonade was a great way to cool down. The higher prices put me off a bit, but overall, you get good value for your money.

Unfortunately, I only had enough for my personal meal today. I haven't seen food served with such care in a long time.

It took 10 minutes for a server to notice us. The ladies behind the counter were busy chatting, so it's easy to miss the new customers... My son ordered a regular burger and got one with spicy sauce. We were told that was the standard burger sauce. I then pointed out that if the sauce was spicy, it should be noted in the description. The server was friendly, but you could tell she was annoyed. You have to be able to handle criticism in service! We were offered a new burger, but we politely declined. We didn't have to pay the full price either. When we asked for the bill, another 10-15 minutes passed before the server finally arrived. We were there for the last time!

No air conditioning (sauna) and no service. I was never offered another drink after the first one...

It's a great place to relax. Sitting outside is wonderful. We had breakfast for two. And there was plenty. Salmon, Serrano ham, boiled eggs, etc. I personally thought the price/performance ratio was decent.

I came spontaneously on a weekend night without a reservation. The staff did everything they could to ensure my companion and I still got a seat 🙂 The service was great, the food arrived quickly, the value for money... okay, and the atmosphere, as always, was a bit too loud. Otherwise, everything was good!

What I like best is that it is open and therefore creates a terrace feel.

The building is actually quite nice, but the interior is somewhat like a train station concourse. It's loud and lacks atmosphere. I can't recommend the food, as it's mostly frozen and convenience food. The service, however, is excellent.

The salad I got here was very bad. The bread was rubbery, the croutons looked like window putty, and there were fewer lettuce leaves than the chicken breast strips. I was even asked if I really wanted the large salad. It's a shame. The place actually looks pretty good. But if you want to eat, it's totally unsuitable.

They advertise fresh Belgian waffles, but they serve a store-bought waffle that's just been warmed up. You can get a pack of 8 at the supermarket for €2.49, but at Cafe del Sol, you pay €8.50 for this warmed, ready-made mini waffle with a bit of ice cream and melted cream. Disgraceful.

I ate there recently, and it was simply a joke. You wait almost an hour for your food, only for the entire order to be wrong, and when I sent it back, it came back wrong again, until they finally managed to make a simple burger the third time. The waiters were also just rude. If you're paying that much, they should at least learn some manners and not act like they have something better to do than earn a living. The food was average, but with such lousy service, I don't think I'll torture myself by being served by those people again. The waiter with the curly hair, goatee, and mustache, who had slightly darker skin, was particularly rude. My conclusion is: don't do that to yourself, just go to McDonald's.

We ate there yesterday. Several orders were brought in incorrectly, and when we returned them, the orders came back incorrectly again. The first time we sent the food back, it took forever for it to come back. The food was okay, but the staff didn't even have the respect to look us in the eye. When one of us spilled a glass and we asked for a cloth, they just slapped it on the table and walked away. The chicken pom was so hard that one of us even had a tooth bleed (no lie). I will be avoiding this Cafe de Sol in the future.

I was at Café del Sol in Moers today. Ordered a waffle for my son... The staff was friendly and the service was good. But what I ordered, what can I say, was hard as hell and unappetizing!!! But you can see for yourself!!! Oh, and the joke cost me €8.50 for a mini waffle!!! I'd say they tried to heat up a pre-made waffle... No thanks, never again!!!!

Very tasty food... Whether it's salad, schnitzel, or pasta. It's ideal even for tradespeople who want a quick lunch.

I was here for brunch today after two visits. I was stunned to pay €20 for a buffet. I wouldn't even pay that at Alex. And we were all practically blind and had to find our way around without help. I found that very unsatisfactory. The food is delicious, no question. But the service is sometimes super friendly and other times horrible.

It's always nice to have a leisurely breakfast here. Delicious and more than enough even for larger stomachs :-) Simply lovely (if it had been warmer, we would have liked to sit outside, which would have been even better).

Impossible! We're sitting outside on the patio in just 9 degrees Celsius – and no heater is being turned on. When we asked, the only response was, "Does it need maintenance?" – yes, today of all days, in this weather? Sorry, but that's really not service. Anyone who lets guests sit outside should also be able to provide warmth.

We were here today with a small group of work colleagues. We would be served quickly. It wasn't a problem to only order when the last colleague had arrived. The food came quickly and all colleagues thought it was delicious. My salad wasn't very stylishly prepared, but it tasted very good. The atmosphere was modern and Café Del Sol was well attended today.

After a walk on the holiday we looked for a nice spot on the porch. We ordered drinks and 2x the Belgian waffle with ice cream and cream. The waffles were advertised on a display in the entrance area. There was a picture of the typically thick, square Belgian waffles. But we were deceived/disappointed: For 8.50 euros each, everyone had a small, round, warmed convenience wafer cup (there is no other way to describe it) on their plate with a scoop of vanilla ice cream plus whipped cream! Warmed up little waffle and then just sprayed cream. So this is how you make quick money today, it occurred to us...! Next time we'll bake fresh waffles at home again...

Bad service, drinks expensive and sweet. Never go there again

Even in retirement, I come here regularly to chat with former colleagues. Unfortunately, I have been disappointed several times by the quality of the food. Either the order was not carried out correctly in the kitchen or the food was lukewarm or almost cold; Fries soft and not crispy or pinsa cooled or with a base that is too firm. Too bad! The service is very friendly and attentive, but it doesn't make up for the poor quality of the food. I'll be back to chat, but won't be eating anymore! Maybe. The “pensioners club” finds a better location! Update: 04/29/25: This time the fries and fallafel were hot and crispy. It was only when I got home that I realized that the S. mayonnaise was missing! Too bad!

The food is very tasty and the value for money is definitely right. Where there is still room for improvement is definitely in the service. "Here are your drinks. I'll come back soon for the food" - No, he didn't come. Rather by chance, one of his colleagues saw our menu that was still open and took our food order. When paying it was similar: "I'll send my colleague" - well the colleague was probably free or on vacation. Well, after two attempts the payment worked. We had a similar experience on our first visit. The food and selection is really good and tasty, but there is still room for improvement in the service.

Food tastes quite good. Service was very nice and very helpful. A great atmosphere. You can always go back even if you just want coffee and cake.

I love it here. The food is awesome. And even when things are stressful, the staff always remains friendly. There may be longer waiting times on days with a lot of guests, but that's normal. And even if something is forgotten, you get a small compensation, which I think is really good. We like to eat here whether summer or winter.

Very nice location with very nice and attentive service. There is a wide selection of food to suit every taste and age. The rich breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. We like to come here on Sundays and enjoy the ambience while having breakfast. You feel welcome and friendly here. I can highly recommend Cafe del Sol and we always enjoy coming here.

I was there yesterday with a larger group and ordered the bacon BBQ burger with fries. The fries were ok, but unfortunately I didn't like the burger: first of all, they didn't manage to take into account a normal request (leave out the cucumber). It can happen, but if it happens consistently (no other food at the table was taken into account), it can't be a coincidence. The bun wasn't toasted properly and tasted soggy, like it came straight from the packaging. The patty was pure frozen food that was completely fried and had the consistency of a shoe sole. There was really no taste at all. The bacon was dry and crumbly and seemed to have been in the pan for a long time. There was no trace of the BBQ sauce, the only thing that covered the burger was a not particularly tasty light burger sauce. So the meal was a complete failure. A look at the neighboring plates confirmed my impression of the quality on offer: convenience straight from frying hell, which means that the prices quoted are absolutely not justified. At least the restaurant's design is appealing: I liked the veranda and the large dining room with the high ceilings. The second star goes to the Cola... but you can't go wrong with that.

The food seems to be average convinance food. The salad was a joke, unfortunately absolutely unimaginative. Noodles were absolutely average... It's just a big chain with mass processing. A small meal for three people, one drink each, €100 including tip.

Per: Nice atmosphere (not recommended indoors for people who are sensitive to noise!) It's lovely to sit outside, especially in sunny weather. However, only for drinks. The dishes are not necessarily a hit and the portions have already become significantly smaller. Cons: For 21 euros I expect a buffet with a certain wow effect. Boring 0815 offer. No drink(s) for free! Lukewarm dishes (whether scrambled eggs, paella or pasta). A la carte dishes have become smaller. Inattentive service! You have to call the waitress yourself to order something or pay. She was mostly chatting with her colleagues. Conclusion: You can tell that the catering industry has become creative when it comes to pricing. Portions are becoming smaller, food and drinks have become significantly more expensive. I might still be willing to pay that if the service was good and I could see the certain attention to detail on a 21 euro buffet. Well, we're not talking about a 5 star hotel. But here too I can expect certain basics. I'd love to come back for a drink and a chilled chat. As already mentioned above, I cannot recommend anything else. There are better and cheaper offers out there.

We like to sit there for an evening beer in the summer and are always happy about the friendly staff. They make an effort to serve guests quickly and remain nice and friendly even under stress. We'll definitely stay with you for a long time and enjoy the "baby wheat" with lemon 😉

Our evening at Café del Sol began with a small waiting game. We were allowed to wait outside at our seat for 20 minutes until our order was taken. As usual in a restaurant, we had to wait 20 minutes for our schnitzel with our beer. The schnitzels we got were more than excellent, very crispy, the right size and very, very tasty. After we were finished we had to wait again and again, we waited almost 30 minutes until the waitress spoke to us as she loudly cleaned the table behind us. When she then asked us if we would get another schnitzel and we answered yes, I sheepishly added as a detail that the dressing on the salad was a little bitter and it was inedible. Then I got the rude answer that there's nothing you can do about it, it's just salad...

The food was really tasty (hummus burger + sweet potato fries) the service was nice but it took too long and I had to pay attention e.g. I thought there were too few service staff at that time (Sunday 5-6 p.m.)

Went there again today, the service was top but the food was once again a flop. Burgers dry with cheap meat, the pinsa is dry and lean. After we told the waitress, she said that there had been several complaints about the kitchen in the last few months, but unfortunately nothing has changed!!!!! We're not coming anymore!

Pieces of cake were quite small, but delicious!

Main course Pinsa was good...afterwards the lava cake with liquid caramel center and ice cream for dessert was a disgrace. The ice cream was already half melted when it arrived at the table. The lava cake had no liquid core and the caramel was nowhere to be found. It didn't taste chocolatey either, it tasted like it had been heated for far too long. 8.50 euros spent for nothing. It's a shame...unfortunately it leaves a bad impression in the end.

There were four of us with you today and unfortunately we weren't satisfied at all. Initially the first order was taken quite quickly and arrived within a reasonable time. Unfortunately, there was only one visit from the waiter for the time being. We spent 5 hours there that evening and saw him three times and he only came to us when we specifically spoke to him from a distance. This way you can of course avoid repeat orders from your schnitzel holiday. In particular, we would have liked to drink more, but unfortunately we didn't see the waiter for at least an hour. It just radiated an absolute no-brainer attitude, because if the waiter had been stressed, we would have understood it. But for a long time he just seemed to disappear from the face of the earth. He didn't like the fact that we didn't give a tip and there was no more goodbye. We would have expected a lot more and it was simply disappointing, because service makes so much difference and a smile can make a big difference or an apology that it's taking a little longer today because he doesn't just have to serve our tables on the high level. We finally gave the hint that we were dying of thirst. Really a shame.

Hardly any service, but sporty prices. Price-performance doesn't fit. The waiter comes no more than once an hour – and then only when asked. No hello, no goodbye. The food seems warmed up rather than freshly cooked. Not recommended.
