After countless visits, one thing is certain: delicious food, very tasty weak service.

It's been a long time since we've been there for brunch. For us it was perfect. We'd love to come back.

I had breakfast there again after several years and was pleasantly surprised that allergy sufferers can now get their fill from the buffet. That was the reason why I didn't go there anymore. Now I can again recommend the Del Sol without hesitation, especially for people with food intolerances. There is also plenty of great selection. What hasn't changed is the noise level when the restaurant is full and that more money could be earned from guests if they were more attentive to the drinks. But I'd love to come back.

Cocktails taste like water with a bit of aroma and that’s it. The service was fine. The employees at the counter, especially the brown-orange-haired, turbulent one with the tattoos, loudly and obviously gossip about customers. I'd rather drive a few km further to the next café. You shouldn't pay money for something like that.

I wasn't thrilled. Very long wait until you could order something to drink. I ordered Pinsa with rocket, although the rocket had seen better days. It was completely wilted and ruined my appetite. The home-made bread, on the other hand, was very tasty and very fresh. The bread is an appetizer but we were served everything together. I didn't think that was normal either. Who serves the starter with the main course? They won't see me there again.

We were at Café del Sol in Moers on a Wednesday evening. We ordered two drinks and once the Schnitzel del Sol and a lasagna. About the ambience: A typical Café del Sol. Nothing special but overall comfortable About the service: The service was good and we were served quickly. The food and drinks came very quickly. I almost felt sorry for the waitress because of my review, as she couldn't help it because of the bad food. To eat: The schnitzel had a tendon and was flooded with a hollandaise sauce. The fries were already at room temperature. So it's no longer fresh. Up to this point everything is still tolerable. The lettuce was rancid and already had brown spots. You can no longer offer this to guests. My conclusion about the lasagna leaves something to be desired. Actually more comparable to a frozen lasagne from the supermarket. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately I had to leave 3/4 behind. The portions overall were rather small. To the conclusion: If you want to sit comfortably and just have a drink, this is the place for you. You should choose another restaurant to eat. It's a shame Café del Sol, it could be better...

Cold fries, dirty tables and no service. The four of us sat in Café del Sol for an hour. The tables weren't even cleared or asked for new drinks during the entire time. Lack of staff is probably not the reason, as at least three employees were constantly standing in front of the entrance door smoking. They could have helped their colleagues out on the terrace. In any case, we won't be coming back, we never had high expectations of the store, but that's just not possible.

Everything was great and delicious. Worlds better than an extra sheet. Unfortunately, as a wheelchair user you cannot serve yourself at the buffet because it is too high. Unfortunately, the group outing with the handicap group does not take place here for breakfast. As always, the staff were very nice and accommodating. Even though it was very busy, the food came very quickly. The Schnitzel dem Sol will probably remain my favorite forever😉 Small addendum: Today (08/31/24) I had the dubious pleasure of being served by a certain Baric. I travel a lot and eat out a lot in different restaurants and cafés. In all my years, I have never been “treated” so unkindly and incompetently. It would be beyond the scope to write down everything I experienced in the 45 minutes of my visit. Just this much: If I were the management, I would send it to you urgently and in detail on the following topics: how do I organize my work How do I respond to legitimate criticism? How do I handle 2 orders at the same time? and How do I generate additional sales for my employer through simple attention? Otherwise, the obligatory Schnitzel del Sol was again excellent

I ordered a mojito. This contained either very little or even less rum. Crushed ice was not used either, but rather ice cubes.

I write partly for my father, who doesn't have internet. My father and his friend are regular customers and go to del Sol every week. Since they both come with their motorcycles, they usually sit "outside" in the front entrance area. Set with an ashtray and menu. Now it has happened several times that it wasn't served. My father ordered a Coke at the bar last night and his friend came later and ordered a coffee from the waiter as he walked past. He had to wait a whopping 2 hours without a drink. Until he took his own drink. Almost everyone there is unfriendly, no friendly hello and mostly things are just "thrown" on the table. Articles and friendly questions are also out of place here. Waiter: "Cola"? My father mentioned several times that some of the employees sat next to them and took a break, walked past them several times and there was no service. I've been there several times myself and now don't think the food is worth the money. All in all, we won't be visiting the store again. Friendliness and respect should finally be the most important things in life again. A smile on your face won't hurt you either. It's a shame what happened to the del Sol.

Service had forgotten drinks, the food was almost cold when the drinks arrived. Get a half-full Lillet glass without raspberries without mint. For the cake we ordered extra cream (costs €1.20) and a piece of cake came with a mini dollop of cream, unfortunately I didn't take a photo of it. We were there for the brunch buffet on a Sunday. The food was very tasty, the atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was generally friendly. But the eye for empty drinks could still be sharpened a little.

Loveless and tasteless chicken nuggets with fries for 9.90 euros. Not to mention the drinks prices (mango spritzer 6.70!). And don't discuss prices now! We love going out and eating out a lot. (See recessions) but the evening was the last straw. Incidentally, the staff should be motivated so that they at least appear to enjoy working there.

Very disappointing! It seems to depend a lot on which chef is working at the time. The lettuce was wilted and the mushroom sauce had the consistency of jelly. After my complaint about the salad, no new one was brought. There was ground pepper in the pepper shaker with whole grains. After a conversation with the shift leader, dessert was offered. But to be honest, you don't want to anymore. The trust is then no longer there.

Six of us were at Cafe del Sol on Thursday. The price/performance ratio is not right at all. I had a Florida salad for EUR 10.90 which was more of a side salad. My friend had a 1/2 pinsa for EUR 8.40, which was also like an appetizer, the dough was very hard so she had great difficulty cutting it. The waiting times for service are extremely long. In response to our complaint, we were kindly given a “round” on the house. The staff was very friendly and helpful, although we seemed understaffed. It's a shame that the employees get the frustration of the guests here - I won't be visiting Cafe del Sol again for the time being, there are much better places where I can spend my money and go home satisfied. All I can say about the toilet is that there should at least be soap in the washroom.

Went there on a weekday evening. We ate two burgers with fries. You really can't complain about the food at all, it was very tasty - it was ready quickly. Unfortunately, the service that evening wasn't the best. Our plates/boards lay empty in front of us for over 30 minutes... Nobody asked if we wanted to drink anything else. Only after we called a waiter did we continue, we thought. We then got our drink, but then left - we didn't want to die of thirst. Better go somewhere else next time.

Café del sol has gone down a lot. I think the quality of the food has gotten worse. Apart from that, I think the prices are really high for the quality. The service has decreased due to a lack of staff. You can feel this directly when there are more customers. Since the room is very large, it echoes a lot and gets extremely loud! The food itself is good, but it was only after I had eaten half of my salad that I saw that there were snails in it. They wanted to give me a new salad but I could never touch it again. Hello, I was here today with my family and celebrated my birthday and I am very disappointed. Tables are greasy, drinks are empty and it takes an hour to clear the table after being asked. The waiter named barish seems to have no idea what kind of food they offer. When the gentleman next to us asked what kind of plate he had, the answer was “I don’t know, but it’s all on the menu”. My question was also ignored as to whether we could order something else...Obviously our table was also discussed...I won't come back even though the other two waiters were very nice, but the service doesn't make me happy...

We were there for brunch on the bank holiday, there was plenty of space and we had a nice table for 8 people. The selection was extensive, although I couldn't try the warm dishes because I was already too full. However, for €19.95 I would have expected a warm drink included in the price, as well as juice. So you have to order drinks in full and of course pay for them. The service was very good, quick and above all friendly.

Mega great breakfast buffet for my wife's birthday. We were thrilled by the freshness and presentation... Super nice staff. Never intrusive but always attentive! We felt very comfortable and will now come to the buffet more often!

Unfortunately it has deteriorated quite a bit and the price/performance ratio is not right front and back. The portions are getting smaller and the prices are getting higher. When my drink was brought to me, I briefly thought it was a joke. To ask for a half-full glass of Lillet and a whopping €7.80 for it is really a disgrace. The size isn't stated on the card, otherwise I wouldn't have ordered it. Probably won't come again, a lot of things were too inconsistent.

Quickly go to the well-known Café Del Sol in Moers. The service was quick and the food came to the table quickly. The Freaky Fries I ordered with chicken pieces, guacamole, wasabi mayonnaise, hollandaise sauce and sun-dried tomatoes were just right for our hunger. Of course the sauces weren't freshly made, but that was absolutely OK for the price. Still - 3 sauces with different flavors is perhaps a bit too much for the good. The fries were ok, the whole thing could have used a little more temperature. My companion had a burger that I was also able to try. The patty was cooked through, but not completely dry. The burger bun wasn't really a blast, dry with no real taste. Thickly sliced, raw cucumbers aren't exactly great. All in all ok, but you don't necessarily go there to enjoy yourself.

My husband and I went to Café del Sol for brunch. We had reserved a table. We were served quite quickly and our coffee with milk was brought to us quickly. The brunch buffet is very varied and I enjoyed the fresh rolls. There are typical breakfast dishes, sweet dishes and egg dishes. Warm dishes, such as pasta, were also offered. Unfortunately, a warm drink is not included in the price. The price of the latte was quite high, but it was also a large cup. I pay a lot of attention to sustainability, which is why I found it unpleasant that the nut nougat cream on offer is Nutella. Nutella received a defective rating from Stiftung Warentest. It contains palm oil and petroleum residues! Our service was friendly and attentive. I would just like to have ordered something more to drink. The service could ask the guest about this.

We were there for dinner. We ordered a starter once and it arrived with the first drinks. The main course was then served very quickly, with the starter still on the table. I had the pork schnitzel with champion sauce, sweet potato fries and truffle mayo. For starters we had the Gambas al Ajillo. There was nothing wrong with the food, it was really tasty and well prepared. But: Unfortunately we didn't feel comfortable, the waiter who served us seemed very annoyed when we called him (he didn't even come to ask if there was anything else). The young ladies who occasionally came out were all very polite and accommodating. We would have liked to sit together a little longer and drink something, but when I have a bad feeling because I always have to call the waiter, it's no fun and so we went somewhere else to have a drink. Conclusion: food and ambience were really good but unfortunately that was it, because as a guest I want to feel comfortable and not have the feeling that I'm disturbing you.

Before Corona, we had brunch with friends on a Sunday at Café del Sol. We remembered this brunch as one of the tastiest and wanted to experience a brunch like this again after a long time. However, when we met, we discovered that the brunch wasn't as good as we remembered. The buffet offering was okay, but unfortunately almost all of the hot dishes were cold. Even though our table was reserved for 10 a.m. and the cafe opened at 10 a.m., the food was already cold. The croissants were delicious, but that was about the best part. The sweet offering consisted of berry and chocolate mousse, which tasted like flaky yogurt, as well as waffles with vanilla sauce, although the sauce was ice cold and the waffles seemed stale. Added to this buffet disaster was the drinks situation. For a small cappuccino (really very small) we charged €3.60. With a hefty price of around €20 for the brunch buffet, I would have expected that at least one warm or cold drink would have been included. The ambience is nice and warmly decorated. Unfortunately, the beautiful ambience did not make up for the very unsympathetic and incredibly inattentive service. She, like most of the other staff, didn't seem to have much interest in their job, as they were often seen playing around on their cell phones. And I'm not talking about just writing an answer to a question, but about an obvious way to pass the time. Ultimately, the Café del Sol in Moers will no longer be able to welcome us. We think it's a real shame to have been so disappointed and hope to be able to save other guests from disappointment with these reviews.

We went to the “Sonnencafe” in Moers to eat schnitzel. The atmosphere in the restaurant has nothing special. The music was a little too loud. It took 10 minutes before the waiter came to our table. But from then on the service was okay. We had the schnitzel Viennese style and with champions or Puszta style. All schnitzels were very crispy and coated very tightly. The taste of the champion sauce was not convincing. The Puszta style sauce is more like it. The vegetables in it are even crunchy. Fries 🍟 were appealing. That's why all three of us chose Puszta Art when ordering again. There probably won't be a repeat of the schnitzel evening.

I have to say, more than disappointed. I was there with my children and we had a 2 hamburger, cost 20 euros without fries and wasn't worth a cent. I didn't eat it either. Bite into it and the meat was cold and it just didn't taste like anything. Tomato cucumber old and 10 per burger without fries. With fries and sauce another almost 15 euros. Terrible. The main thing is that del sol got its money undeservedly. But I'll pass this on to my area, the prices don't match the quality. If it were delicious, I wouldn't say anything. But that was an outrage. Really

We often go to Café del Sol in Moers and have always been very satisfied. Unfortunately, we were really disappointed for the first time today. The prices have been increased significantly. The price of our spare ribs, which we eat there as standard, is around 30% off. (From €15.60 to over €20) In addition, the amount of food was reduced by about half. The quality has also changed for the worse. We suspect that the supplier of the ribs has changed. No longer crispy on the outside and easily removable from the bone, but a soft mass. We are really disappointed with today and are looking for alternatives...

Der Keller suchte unseren Tisch dann auch gar nicht mehr auf, sodass wir selbständig zur Theke mussten, um den Kellner auf die fehlende Portion aufmerksam zu machen. Das Ganze dauerte dann noch eine weiter halbe Stunde. Und den Fehler konnte der Kellner natürlich auch nicht einräumen. Die Thaibowl für 18€ war auch ein Witz. Für so einen Preis eine viel zu kleine Portion. Der Burger schmeckte nur durchschnittlich. Absolut keine Empfehlung. Hier werden wir nie wieder essen gehen. Einfach schlechter Service

The ambience is just like any Cafe Del Sol. Once you've seen one, you know them all. Everything that is on the menu is also available in all other Cafe Del Sol's. It's definitely great to sit down and chat spontaneously every now and then.

There were five of us and we all ate and had several drinks. The food was simply thrown on the table and the drinks were brought to the table in a very careless and unfriendly manner. After two hours (consumption approx. 140€) we were asked if we wanted anything else, if not she would charge us. Absolute impudence!
