Isinger Tor in Essen

Last night, we went to eat at Isinger Tor as a couple, for the first time in a long time. The atmosphere is very nice and cozy. The waitress, I think her name was Janin, was very nice and up for a joke. The food was delicious, the owner was incredibly friendly, and the hygiene standards in the shop get an extra 10 points. We highly recommend the place and will definitely be back. Kudos to the whole team.

Very tasty food. But getting 3 of 4 meals wrong is already an achievement and fixing the mistakes with a schnapps. Well, not my thing. The kitchen didn't do it wrong but the service staff should listen better. We didn't give the food back because the kitchen should be off work and the food shouldn't just be thrown away. It was 9:20 p.m. and the kitchen was open until 9:30 p.m. Unfortunately, if you order drinks it takes far too long and that could be something Go faster, especially when the restaurant is almost empty.

We were very satisfied, good friendly service, very good food (we were there with 5 people and everyone ate something), the price-performance ratio for food and drinks was very good.

Francesco and his team from Isinger Tor are simply a gift! Every time we eat there we feel not like guests but like friends. The warmth with which Francesco welcomes you is extraordinary - honest, warm and sincere. The food? A dream! Prepared with love, authentically Italian and simply delicious. Whether it's pasta, pizza or one of the sophisticated daily specials - you can taste that the cooking here is done with passion. The quality of the ingredients is top and the atmosphere in the restaurant invites you to feel good. Francesco manages to make an evening special not only in terms of cuisine but also in terms of people. A place where you like to stay and want to return again and again. 10/10. Friendly welcome as soon as we walked in from the locals at the bar. Friendly, welcoming waitress. Delicious food. Huge portions. Everything cooked fresh and perfect for us. We ended the meal with the local schnapps, Delicious. A really friendly locals pub that welcomed new faces.

Nice restaurant located on the edge of Essen Steele. Although on the main road. but you don't notice much of it. Have been there several times. So far everything was fine. Today my wife and mother-in-law ate Schnitzel Hawaii there. Top. My neck steak was dry fried. The fried potatoes were half burnt. The peppers with onions were totally greasy. I shared it with the waitress. Your comment, I'll pass it on. That's it. This can also scare away guests.

As a former Steeler boy - I grew up and went to school here - I like to eat out when it's convenient. Stay as you are Greetings from Überruhr.

A great place to come by. It's not turistic at all but for the best. The first time I entered I got a couple of weird looks like I was lost but a minute later I felt like at home. The waiters are hyper friendly and treat you as one of their own. Not to underestimate their food, incredibly tasty and at a good price. One of the only times I would give to the service an extra star.

Since I have unfortunately experienced the rude manner of the staff several times, I would now like to share these experiences. Basically, the Isinger Tor is a nicely decorated pub and you can also eat quite well there. Unfortunately, the staff has been unpleasantly unfriendly on several occasions. Case A: We are sitting at the bar with several people, drinking and chatting. Sometimes people laugh a little louder. The staff didn't like that at all and rudely warned us about our loudness. The pub was still busy at the time and apparently none of the other guests were bothered. It's absolutely legitimate to mention it if it was a little too loud, but the sound makes the music. Last weekend around midnight we wanted to go to Isinger Tor for a beer. When we entered, we saw the pub was still busy with around 10 people. We were greeted in a friendly manner with the words: "Last round, you won't get anything!" There was no trace of a “good evening” or “I’m sorry but we’re closing soon”. Here too, the sound makes the music. Just a side note. A few meters away there was also the last round in another pub. This was communicated to us very kindly and we were allowed to take part in the last round.

Very nice restaurant and bar. We had the schnitzel and a few beers and the atmosphere was very good.

Very good food for a small price. Seats on the outdoor terrace and indoor dining room should be reserved. Service is very good and fast.

How quaint. Here you can still puzzle, you can eat delicious food, have good music, and the service is very nice. Maybe a little loud, but that's a matter of taste 😜The prices are reasonable.

We waited 1 hour for 4 schnitzels. The service wasn't great and the food was so-so. We won't be coming back again.

The only German restaurant in Essen-Steele, an insider tip for me, the cuisine is very 👍 good, cuisine changes every day. Service a bit reserved, ambience rustic but clean. We recommend !!

While strolling through Steele today, we discovered the “Schnitzeltag” sign. We were able to choose from eight variants. The schnitzels with the side dishes and salad decoration came quickly and were delicious. The restaurant was busy at lunchtime, we would recommend a reservation.

Das Essen war wieder köstlich und der Service ausgezeichnet. Wir waren zu viert hier und haben anschließend noch geknobelt. Wie kommen gerne wieder.

So habe ich mir eine Gaststätte im Ruhrpott vorgestellt, dort wurde gewürfelt, Skat gespielt und gefühlt kannte jeder jeden. Echt cool. Dazu das Essen - ein Gedicht, ich weiß nicht, wann ich das letzte mal so frisches Essen in einem Restaurant bekommen habe! Einfach klasse!!!

Eindeutig noch die beste Kneipe in Steele . Lecker Stauder, gutes Essen toller netter Service. Immer gerne dort zu Gast.

Ich wüsste nicht was ich negatives schreiben könnte, das Essen ist lecker und von guter Qualität, dort schmecken die Bratkartoffeln wie bei Oma zu Hause und Donnerstags ist auch noch Schnitzeltag. Spargel, Salate, Pilze, alles von guter Qualität. Parkhaus ist gleich um die Ecke. Zugang für Rollstuhlfahrer sollte eigentlich kein Problem darstellen.

Das Essen ist einmalig sehr zu empfehlen. Immer wechselnde gute Küche und die Schnitzel sind einmalig Bedienung ist sehr sehr freundlich rundum eine tolle gemütliche Kneipe und einen Besuch wert. Das ist nach meiner Meinung die beste Kneipe und jedes essen ist eine Augenweide für den Gaumen

Meine Erfahrung ist sehr positiv, es ist zwar etwas klein im Innenraum, ((weil immer sehr voll)), aber sehr gemütlich und über die angebotenen Gerichte, kann man absolut nicht meckern, einfach zum wohlfühlen!

Ein schönes altes Restaurant in Essen Steele immer wieder mal gerne .

Es war wie immer sehr gesellig.Top Kellnerin und das Essen war auch lecker.Weiter so.

Essen sehr gut, allerdings geht es gar nicht, dass der Koch mit der schwarzen Kochschürze vor der Toilette kniend den Boden mit Zewa reinigt und anschließend mit der gleichen Schürze wieder in der Küche steht. Die Schürze wurde auch nach einem Hinweis nicht gewechselt, da die gleichen Flecken den ganzen Abend dort waren.

Wir haben gestern das Isinger Tor mit der Belegschaft von 2 Tankstellen ohne Vorankündigung besucht. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und die Wirtin hat rasch noch Tische zusammengestellt. Seit vielen Jahren gibt es hier gutes Essen mit Getränken die man sich leisten kann ! Top sehr zu empfehlen haben auch ein Tägliches Gericht im Angebot !!! Mit Kegelbahn allerdings nur mit Vorbestellung!

Normales bürgerliches lokal, nettes ambiente, gute und schmackhafte küche, nette bedienung, gutes preis-leistungsverhältniss, sehr zu empfehlen.

War neulich als Gast dort, und musste mit ansehen wie frech die Wirtin/Kellnerin auf andere Gäste reagiert. Man fühlt sich dort einfach nicht Willkommen. Leute werden grundlos beleidigt, und zusammen mit anderen Gästen verbal und sogar körperlich angegangen. (Wohlbemerkt mit Mitarbeiter des Lokals). Und das wirklich aus der Laune heraus, OHNE Grund!

Leider sehr unfreundlich. Launen werden an Gästen ausgelassen. Mussten mit ansehen wie der Türsteher gegenüber Frauen handgreiflich wird.Einmal und nie wieder

Nachtrag:Dann würde ich mal gerne wissen was an normal,ruhig sitzend,sich unterhaltend...kein Benehmen ist?Alle wie sie oben saßen,total unterschiedliche Leute wurden plötzlich und einfach aus einer Laune heraus als Asis u.ä beschimpft und niemand hat verstanden wie ihm geschah.Wenn Leute pöbeln oder betrunken sind kann man es irgendwo noch nachvollziehen und selbst dann geht man nicht so mit Menschen um!Das ist unverschämt,verachtent,und respektlos!Gerade als Wirtin sollte man in der Lage sein und sein Handeln dann auch mal einsehen und überdenken bzw reflektieren. Einige Frauen mit denen man sich ganz normal unterhalten konnte sind geschockt und weinend aus der Wirtschaft gekommen und noch von einem Aufpasser angefasst worden..sowas ist doch nicht normal.Da standen Omas und Mütter bei und zum Glück hat es ja auch jeder mitbekommen.

Der Einsatz der Servicekräfte ist bewundernswert. 👋👋👋 2 Leute und das kleine Küchenteam stemmen den ganzen Betrieb mit einem freundlichem Lächeln 🙂. Wir mussten weder auf die Getränke noch auf das Essen lange warten obwohl es ziemlich voll war. Das Essen war lecker, die Bratkartoffeln knusprig und sehr heiß. Der 5. Stern wird leider abgezogen, da von den 3 Rumpsteaks eins deutlich kleiner war und nicht das bestellte Gewicht hatte. Respekt für das Team und toi, toi bei der Personalsuche.
