The food was ok, but it was still very annoying! I had barely swallowed the last bite when the somewhat brisk waitress asked me to pay, even though a quarter of the seats were still free. My neighbor at the counter felt the same way. You leave money and get thrown out even though the store wasn't full. That doesn't work at all! Was my first and last time!

Went there on a Wednesday to have lunch. It was happy day which means that some food is a bit cheaper. Food was delivered pretty quick and quality / quantity is ok. Card payment only possible from 30 Euros which is too much in my opinion.

The best place in Berlin if you’re looking for affordable sushi, especially during happy hour when there’s a discount for combo sushi. The sushi is fresh, the menu has plenty of options, and it tastes good. The service is fast. The restaurant’s interior is so-so and feels busy since it’s always crowded whenever I visit. Expect a long queue if you come during lunchtime.

Best value for money for sushi in town with a special kick (aburi). Love it and have been going here all the time for 20 years now.

I have been there three times but compared to other Ishin restaurants the quality was very poor each time so I will never go there again. Firstly, the fish was either just thawed or of poor quality - it was dry and mushy. I have never experienced such poor quality in any other Ishin restaurant. Secondly, the service was sloppy and the food looked completely different than the photos. Every time I've been here I've regretted it and thought, "I should have gone to another Ishin." The Asian staff often treat guests very rudely and carelessly. This is really disappointing.

Well-crafted sushi with a pleasant taste. We opted for the take-away option. The ambience in the store itself is very simple. The service is quick and nice. So if you're hungry for a tasty bite, Ishin is recommended.

The food is average, but being forced to tip is really 0 points. Why do people have to tip? The food and service are really average.

Although it is not high-class sushi, it is of a very high quality among the sushi you can eat in Germany. And reasonable. I always stop by when I go to Berlin.

Authentic, efficient, polite; came in alone on a rainy night and ordered the Sake Chatzuke with Hijiki. Was given a free cup of tea while I waited, food came quite quickly and tasted great. Warmed me up just right 🫶

The food is great, but unfortunately the service is not at all. Often the employees are more concerned with themselves than taking care of the guest - today I left after more than 10 minutes after no one took care of them, even though there were only 7 guests in the restaurant and there were enough staff at the counter. During my last visit, the floor under my table was wiped without saying a word while I was sitting there eating... It's a shame, but this is only acceptable for take-away orders.

Good cheap sushi place, not fine dining, just a cozy atmosphere. Fast service, you get green tea, sushi and fish was fresh and very good. Great value for money! My meal cost €23, but included tuna toro (tuna belly, expensive) and was very tasty.

I shin is great but this particular store, the quality is EXTREMELY BAD. The rice was DRY and hard. The sake jiru was half the size but still the same price as in Mittelstrasse. Horrible. It's a shame that the quality is clearly lower than other stores. Employees are reluctant to do anything. As a Japanese person, this makes me angry.

Many different and delicious sushi variations with super fresh fish. I have rarely experienced such quality fish before. Staff is courteous, friendly, somewhat distant. There are discounts on some sushi menus on many days. Green tea is free with every meal. Very quick to prepare, perfect for your lunch break.

We go to lunch there. There are daily changing menus. Three every day. With starter soup, main course and dessert. But the salads also taste delicious. The interaction between the employees means there are no long queues and everyone is extremely happy. The prices are OK. Very nice there!

SO SAD about the experience we had in Ishin, they have so much potential!! The place was really nice and the service was good too. BUT, is unbelievable that the main ingredient in sushi was SO poorly accomplished, the rice was HORRIBLE, tasted like the rice you eat with chicken, wasn't sticky at all, and the fish and seafood used wasn't at all fresh, the shrimp and mackerel tasted rotten... almost vomited... and, hopefully the manager will read this, some variation in the rolls please! all of them were basically the same, wth with the cucumber obsession 🫣🫣

I love Ishin but this one is always a disappointment. Definitely the last time I was here. Ridiculously tiny Barachi Don, half the portion served in a tiny bowl, barely any fish, and then the sparse surface was topped up with egg. I asked politely twice if they had reduced their portions, which was answered in the negative. No idea why this Ishin is so much worse. Mittelstraße and Bundesallee are highly recommended

Ishin has an incredible selection of fresh sushi for an amazing price. The fish was very fresh and we had a delicious meal. They have a happy hour for the combo sushi like seen in one of the photos for a great price. Most days it is until 16:00 but on Wednesdays and Weekends, it is all day. It is my first time seeing such thing and I think it is amazing. The service is quick. One small thing - the quality of the chopsticks could be better! Overall, an amazing place to have some great sushi!

A suitable place for a quick lunch. There are cheap sushi platters and donburi for every taste, friendly, efficient service. The sushi are nothing special, the soy sauce is either the lightest, lowest salt I've ever eaten or it's a little diluted with water...

This was my third visit, I always like to come by when I'm in Berlin Mitte. Food as always very tasty.

There are four sushi restaurants in the city, so I visited it after visiting Checkpoint Charlie. It's a very popular restaurant, and there are many customers, but there are plenty of seats, so we were able to fit in easily. It's reasonably priced, delicious, and even Japanese people are satisfied. There was also sake.

the fish to rice ratio was very bad and the rice was very compactly pressed. the smoked salmon you can buy at the supermarket is thicker than what they served. i hope it was just a bad day, because they used to serve actual sushi. this was real bad.

My coworker recommended this place for cheap, good sushi. But it is really not good. The moment you step in, it smells like fish and that is not a good sign. The rolls don’t taste fresh and the service is poor. Yes, it is cheaper than restaurants but you pay for that in quality. Would not recommend.

The fish was not fresh and dry, and the wasabi had almost no flavor. With such poor quality, the server still had the audacity to ask for a tip when I paid the bill? Where did she get the nerve? They lack skill but still want to make money, truly shameless.

I have no idea why this Ishin is so much worse than the others. You can't pay by card here (only from €30 lol) and the portions are always only half as big as on Bundesallee or Friedrichstrasse. I've tried it 3 times now, the same thing every time. Incomprehensible and unfortunately an exclusion criterion to be added here again.

Simply delicious, but sitting nicely is different. At lunchtime it is packed and cramped. Moor little baggage but often very entertaining. I like coming here.

Ishin is no doubt the best cost-effective sushi restaurant in Berlin. Note: This restaurant doesn't open on public holidays, but Google Maps has incorrect information. Unfortunately, I can't suggest edits to the opening hours for special days, as only the business owner has the ability to do that.

It’s delicious and not expensive. Many office workers come here to eat. It looks like a canteen but the sushi tastes good and the presentation is good.

The worst service I have seen in my life! The waitress tried to seat her at a table on which there were plates from previous visitors. The order was placed in about 10 minutes, and then she loudly called her from across the entire room!!! Horror ! How is this possible ? When they brought the food, she didn’t bring the chopsticks - I had to look for it again! I didn’t receive the bill for about 15 minutes after I asked for it! I really like the food here - but the service is disgusting - the owners should listen to the reviews

Food good, but service is disastrous. You don't have a minute to think about what you want to eat because the waitress asks every 5 seconds if you can finally order. In addition, most of the dishes we received were broken and would therefore be more likely to be thrown in the trash.

Ishin est un restaurent que je recommande pour sa cuisine et son excellent rapport qualité prix. Cependant, les serveuses ne sont pas nombreuses donc nous avons commandés assez tardivement.

Food was good but the service is hard to find that bad. Because of the stroller we were treated like pigs and had to eat so quickly that we couldn't enjoy it even though the place was empty!! I would have to tip after this cleanup?! For what? Never again. Never go there with children or family!

The food is cheap and delicious, but credit card payments only start at 30 euros and they only accept cash for orders below that. Also, compared to the friedrichstrasse store, it is much smaller and there are fewer people working there, so it is a bit hectic and frustrating.

Very cozy atmosphere, delicious sushi (must try the one with shiitake and with the omelette), we caught the happy day, but it was Saturday night and it was crowded, with only 1 waitress. However, the food was prepared very fast!

The service was superficial and mocking when people asked for green tea - unfortunately it is no longer available at the moment, so offering the guest hot water instead is inappropriate. The service was also not very attentive and messed up the order. I don't necessarily have to go there again.

Salmon sashimi was better than expected. Excellent! All dishes with salmon or tuna belly flambéed (Aburi) are unique!!!!! The service is very nice and attentive. You feel like a real guest in a Japanese home here. 4 stars because the green tea, which is always served with meals, is infused with hot water for hours using the same tea and then tastes like water. It's better to serve nothing than to serve a liquid that no longer tastes like tea.

The food quality is quite similar to the other ishin branches, so it's pretty standard - not outstanding but also no "bad surprises". There was a menu price increase from February, which is totally understandable considering how bad the inflation is. However, card payment is only available for orders over 30 euros!!! It's 2024 now and the restaurant is located in a business area, yet I still had to walk to the ATM machine and walk back again to pay!!! oh meine Gott!!! Or shall we just say "that's soooooo Berlin?"

One point deducted. An employee is sitting at the table with colleagues, they are nibbling on “bird food” and she is spitting the pods into the bowl, half of them on the table. After you get up, don't clear the table either. It was really disgusting. Unfortunately, I couldn't really enjoy my delicious sushi plate. Hopefully something like this won't happen again.

Ishin is my fav restaurant. I always went to the one near Unter den Linden, and just discovered this branch It’s more quiet, and I love the decor, especially the zen garden near the bathrooms I always get the same things - miso and sake don, and honestly this just makes my life better. And I love their free teas, the taste is amazing ❤️

Das Essen ist super die kellner:innen Bedienen sie schnell und sind sehr nett.

Der Laden ist schlicht. Der Service war freundlich und schnell, und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war ausgezeichnet. Besonders das Sake Soboro Ceyro war köstlich und reichlich. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur empfehlen.

Bevor man sich was zu essen bestellt, gibt's direkt eine Tasse Grünen Tee umsonst. Die Auswahl an Speisen sind gut, wenn man Fisch oder Hühnchen mag. Serviert werden die großzügigen Portionen teils im Bambusdampfkorb, sehr hübsch.

El Sushi 🍣 es delicioso y muy fresco...el postre me ha dejado sorprendida de manera positiva.. muy amables y rápido servicio! Gerne wieder!
