Let's Go Sylt Berlin in Berlin

I went to GO Sylt on Kurfürstendamm on a Saturday evening and had reserved a table. From the moment I walked in, I felt more like an intruder than a welcome guest. For that location and time of day, the restaurant was unusually empty, which immediately created a strange atmosphere. The few other guests seemed irritated as more people arrived. I had ordered the surf and turf. The steak was served much rarer than I would have expected for a medium order. The prawns lacked freshness and were, overall, very disappointing. The only thing that was truly good was the bread with the dip. The service matched the overall impression. The waiter seemed detached and unmotivated, without a smile or any sign of hospitality. When he asked how the food was, and I honestly said that I'd had better, all I got was a surprised, "Oh, really?" The way he said it made me uncomfortable, almost as if I had to justify myself. This reinforced the feeling that I was out of place. Overall, the visit was disappointing. For this location, I would have expected significantly higher quality and a more pleasant atmosphere.

The fish platter was okay, but nothing special. The portion was generous and nicely presented, the fish fresh, though a bit overcooked. The side dishes, like the potatoes and vegetables, could have used a bit more seasoning. The bread was fresh, the sauce well-seasoned – but overall, rather average for the price. Friendly service, cozy atmosphere, but the food didn't quite capture the true "Sylt feeling."

SCAMMERS: WATCH OUT TOURIST!! Service was ok. I was seated for solo dining and no menu or acknowledgement was provided. Almost 15 minutes later another table was seated with 3 people. Service was immediate for them with menus, water and bread with spreads. I waved to them and then was finally provided a menu and then bread but no spreads, when requested only a butter was provided when other were provided 3 different kinds. Appetizer and entree was ordered and served and the food was decent however the service provided lowered their score for me.. FINALLY THE CHECK: only a card machine with a final price on it was provided, no check. When requested they said that was the price the meal and acted as it they didnt understand me when they were able to understand everything else I ordered. After more than 10 minutes of trying to explain and the restauarant all staring at me as the waiter kept flailing his arms like he didnt know. I finally charged the bill to my CC just to get out of there. The CC machine did provide a final bill receipt but when i asked for the itemized bill again to submit for corporate billing it took another 15 minutes of "no english". Finally a itemized bill was provided and when compared against the CC machine bill that was already entered the waiter had added a 25% tip on top of the bill without consent or agreement from which explain why they ignored my attempts to get original bill pretending not to speak english and only italian. When questioned about the 25% tip again I was met with no english and shrug and he walked away. I tried to talk to all the staff there to get an explanation but all shrugged and say italian, no english, shrugged and turned away. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. SCAMMERS TO TOURISTS!!

The food was really bad. The steak was very fatty and tough, yet overpriced. The quality was poor. The tuna steak was so raw and bland that it wasn't worth the money. We waited well over an hour for it. It was a complete waste of time and money.

I tried the fish soup here. The service was extremely friendly and pleasant. The soup tasted good and was generously filled with fish.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A fantastic experience! The muscat wine from Italy was excellent, as was the octopus – perfectly prepared and incredibly delicious. The service was attentive, warm, and simply top-notch. A particularly nice touch: At the end of the meal, we were treated to a grappa on the house, and the waitress even toasted with us. We felt completely at home and would love to come back!

At first glance, it seemed very expensive, but we had a little hope at the beginning. Unfortunately, it was in vain... There were two waiters, one bartender, and about four people in the kitchen. A total of approximately 30-35 guests. We waited an hour for our starters and another 45 minutes for the main courses, and then the pasta was even missing. The excuse was that the number of guests was higher than expected due to the IFA. The waiter was very rude to the table next to us. And the best part: The surf & turf was brought to the table with an empty sauce bowl. The food tasted okay overall. 6 out of 10 points, but neither for the price nor for what we experienced, it wasn't worth it... unfortunately, not worth recommending...

I've rarely eaten so badly!! Save yourself this Ku'damm rip-off!!! The lobster soup was a complete mess; the Lister fish soup was bland and flavorless, too, with nothing but fat floating in the broth. The dips for the fried scampi came from a foil packet.

A waiter in this restaurants who acts italian , 50-60 years old rip off tourists , my bill was 105 and he said i need to pay 120 without bringing me the actual bill , when i asked for it the throw it to the ground without me noticing Be cautious and avoid him at all cost

We had a very good meal at Gosch Berlin on Kurfürstendamm. The daily special – a fish variation – and the tuna fillet were both excellent and of the highest quality. The terrace creates a pleasant ambiance in the heart of the city, and they also offer blankets for cooler days. We were particularly impressed by the friendly and attentive waitress. A few minor points for improvement: The music was a bit too loud, making it less of a background, but more intrusive. We also had to wait a bit longer for our drinks, which briefly gave us the impression we'd been forgotten. The fact that a staff table in the corner was used as a smoking table also seemed out of place. All in all, though, a very good experience with excellent food – we would come back!

We spent a week in Berlin. For our last evening, we decided to go to "LET'S GO SYLT." The welcome was very warm. No problem dining inside. The tables were very well set with white tablecloths. The meal was delicious. The homemade bread was very good. The kitchen is open. From the dining room, you can see the chef and his team preparing the plates. The service at the bar is very fast. The server creates a good atmosphere and enjoys talking with his customers. The price and quality are very reasonable. And the Google rating, in my opinion, is not high enough. We had a great time. Thanks to the whole team.

Unfortunately, I didn't read the reviews beforehand; if I had, I would have been spared the hassle. We had steaks. They were already running low on meat when we ordered, and the meat was very stringy and tough. After we complained, no one came to our table, and the bill was even wrong. Not recommended.

The service was excellent and they took care of everything professionally—that's a definite plus. The food was Italian and had nothing to do with Sylt. The beef tartare was excellent and presented at the table. Oysters were okay. The tuna was poorly cooked and only slightly seasoned, barely seasoned. It came with a packet of hollandaise sauce. The risotto was tasteless. The monkfish was dry and well-cooked, with the same packet of hollandaise sauce and Italian vegetables as a side dish. For €30 or more per main course, the quality isn't good; the kitchen needs some work with temperature control. The colors and style here are more like Gosch, and expectations are raised—in the end, you're sitting at an Italian restaurant.

Today I tried the lunch plate again with three kinds of fish and a couple of scampi and vegetables. There was also a salad with a great dressing and wonderful bread (not boring white bread) and first-class, charming and experienced service. Everything was perfect and it tasted so good and I was really full afterwards. Of course I ate slowly and chewed well (you're supposed to) and it was fun because everything was so well cooked and I ordered the scampi extra crispy fried, it was simply fantastic and this lunch plate, I think it was €13.80. That's really, really excellent value for money.

We ordered schnitzel, they were out of stock, so beef carpaccio, can't go wrong, I thought, but... and a plate of scampi, well. First a woman served us, she was nice, and then she was gone. A waiter (who knows where from) came with the food, it was placed in front of us without a greeting, arrogant as hell, no idea what it was for, he certainly had no idea about food. You can see a lot in the photos, hair on the plate of scampi, my carpaccio may have been from the hip, but never from fillet. There was a slice on the plate, huge, filling the whole plate. Oil, pepper mill and bread, which go with carpaccio, only came on request. The arugula was past its best. I complained about everything, but they tried to make me believe it was from fillet beef. This is a rip-off and a joke. The hair was completely ignored. He then went inside and probably told the would-be chef (who can't even manage to keep enough meat for veal schnitzel). They laughed their heads off, you can hear it all clearly. I couldn't eat it; it was too tough, with lots of sinew...other guests might think it had to be that way. It was truly the worst service in years, and the carpaccio too...never again. The bill came after repeated requests. We were ignored and were about to leave without paying. We were already standing there when he came. The carpaccio wasn't on the bill, and I wouldn't have paid anyway, but the bread, which actually goes with the carpaccio, was on the bill for €3.90. I've only recently returned to Berlin; I used to go there often; it seems to be a different owner, but in any case, this was our last visit to this tourist trap. A shame.

Great food, very friendly service

Four girls, all 16, were treated very respectfully and kindly. Everyone was very relaxed and open-minded. One little boy even played the trumpet. The Moskito Drink was incredibly delicious!

Great value for money, especially considering the quality. The restaurant is in a great location on one of Berlin’s main streets, easy to find and perfect for a night out. Definitely recommend it if you’re in the city!

Very nice restaurant. Good selection, fresh fish on display, super friendly, delicious. However, there are two things that unfortunately have to be mentioned as a no-go for me. On the one hand, the baked plaice with asparagus. Why frozen goods when fresh fish is sold here. At almost €31 per portion, you should be able to assume that the product is fresh and not get ready-made breaded fish from the freezer. And hollandaise sauce should not be served chilled but at least warmed up. Putting cold sauce on the asparagus is really not an experience... And maybe cut off the cut section on the asparagus again... that looks better... Therefore unfortunately only 3* for the food

Eine fantastische Küche und unglaublich freche Bedienung. Ich hatte nie so eine unhöffliche Bedienung. Als er zum Schluss den Rechnungsbox zu mir hingeworfen hat, hat das mich ehrlich nicht mehr überrascht. Der Herr neben uns hat offensichtlich den falschen Wein bekommen aber wurde trotzdem beleidigt. Also nie wieder.
