Irodion Antonios Tsioukas Greek Restaurant in Erlangen

Leider hatten wir eine sehr schlechte Erfahrung in diesem Restaurant. Während wir unser Essen bereits bekommen und fast aufgegessen hatten, wartete mein Mann immer noch auf seine Bestellung. Uns wurde mehrmals gesagt, dass es nur noch fünf Minuten dauern würde, aber das Essen kam trotzdem nicht. Als wir gehen wollten, wurden wir dazu gedrängt, das Essen mitzunehmen, anstatt sich für den Fehler zu entschuldigen. Besonders enttäuschend war der Umgang mit uns. Die Mitarbeiter wurden laut und haben uns vor anderen Gästen angeschrien. So etwas haben wir als Kunden noch nie erlebt. Obwohl wir die Rechnung vollständig bezahlt und sogar 1 € Trinkgeld gegeben hatten, wurde uns dieses zurück auf den Tisch gelegt. Für eine Box zum Mitnehmen sollten wir dann auch noch 1 € bezahlen. Fehler können passieren, aber Freundlichkeit und Respekt sollten selbstverständlich sein. Leider können wir dieses Restaurant nicht weiterempfehlen.

Wir waren leider sehr enttäuscht von unserem Besuch. Wir haben gemeinsam bestellt, allerdings hat mein Bruder seine Bestellung etwa fünf Minuten später aufgegeben. Während wir alle unser Essen bekommen und bereits komplett aufgegessen hatten, war sein Essen immer noch nicht da. Auf unsere Nachfrage wurde uns mehrfach gesagt, dass es nur noch fünf Minuten dauern würde. Am Ende hatte er immer noch nichts zu essen, obwohl wir alle längst fertig waren. Als wir gehen wollten, wurden wir regelrecht dazu gedrängt, das Essen mitzunehmen. Statt sich für den Fehler zu entschuldigen, wurden die Mitarbeiter laut und haben uns angeschrien. Als Gäste so behandelt zu werden, war uns sehr unangenehm und wir haben uns wirklich geschämt. Trotz allem haben wir die Rechnung bezahlt und sogar 1 € Trinkgeld gegeben. Dieses wurde uns jedoch kommentarlos auf den Tisch zurückgelegt. Als wir anschließend noch eine Box für das übrige Essen wollten, sollten wir dafür ebenfalls 1 € bezahlen. Nach dem gesamten Ablauf fanden wir das einfach nur unverschämt. Fehler können passieren, aber der Umgang mit den Gästen war respektlos und inakzeptabel. Wir werden dieses Restaurant nicht noch einmal besuchen und können es aufgrund unserer Erfahrung leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Trotz der hohen Temperaturen haben sich alle Mitarbeiter mächtig ins Zeug gelegt um uns einen wirklich schönen Abend mit Freunden zu machen. Vielen Dank und das leckere Essen.

Schade, eigentlich unser Lieblingsgrieche, aber: Es fehlen immer mehr Beilagen, die extra bestellt und bezahlt werden müssen. Wer das Lokal zum ersten Mal besucht, wird es erstmal nicht bemerken. Beispiele: Klassisches Gyros -> kein Salat dabei Hellas Teller -> kein Tsatsiki dabei Gyros Kalamari-> keine Beilage (Reis…) Hähnchenbrust -> kein Salat u. Tsatsiki Preislich, im Vergleich zu anderen Griechen, liegen die Gerichte dann ziemlich hoch.

Ich war inzwischen einmal im Irodion und insgesamt war es ein schöner Abend. Gerade das Ambiente hat mir gut gefallen, weil es nicht laut oder hektisch wirkt, sondern eher ruhig und angenehm. Man sitzt dort wirklich gut, und das macht schon viel aus. Das Essen war ebenfalls gut. Also nicht einfach nur ordentlich, sondern schon so, dass man merkt, dass sich jemand Mühe gibt und es nicht völlig beliebig ist. Genau das erwarte ich auch. Warum es für mich trotzdem keine 5 Sterne sind: Es gibt bei mir immer diesen Punkt, an dem ich mich frage, ob am Ende wirklich alles stimmig zusammenpasst. Und genau da war ich hier nicht ganz. Der Service war freundlich, aber auf mich nicht durchgehend souverän, und beim Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis blieb bei mir ein leichter Vorbehalt. Ich würde aber natürlich durchaus wieder hingehen.

Es ist ein großes Lokal. In der warmen Jahreszeit hat es einen schönen Biergarten. Leider sind die Sitzmöglichkeiten im Eingangsbereich vom Lokal sehr eng. Besonders die Sitzfläche auf den Bänken ist viel zu schmal. In dem hinteren Raum ist es viel besser.

Gutes Essen zu humanen Preisen. Personal sehr nett und freundlich.

Vorteile: Sehr leckeres Essen gute Atmosphäre viel Platz. Nachteile: Etwas teurer, es schmeckt aber dafür! Kartenzahlung erst ab höherem Betrag möglich.

The food was delicious, but unfortunately, you have to order a side dish separately. I think it should be included at that price. A 0.4l bottle of water cost €4.50, and the gyros and calamari was €18.50, which included a salad.

A very good Greek restaurant in Alterlangen with a pleasant atmosphere. The food was delicious. The service was friendly and fast. Parking was available.

I really love the Octopus and Calamari salad at this place. A very welcoming and home like feelings.

The food is borderline. Erlangen's Greek restaurants offer better options. The staff is a disaster; at least three people stand around bored, smoking, and don't even notice that you haven't had a drink in 20 minutes. I'm really done with this restaurant now; it's getting increasingly empty, and you definitely don't need a reservation.

I've been going to Irodion on and off my whole life, but unfortunately, with ever-increasing prices, the portions are getting smaller and smaller. I ordered the grilled platter for €18 – at Mythos downtown, you get a mountain of meat and side dishes, but at Irodion, you only get a handful of gyros, a small skewer of souvlaki, and an ice cream-sized portion of rice. The food is good, but if you're really hungry, you'll never get full here! The service was top-notch as always, but paying by card for €40 or more is so 1995 – if only the portion sizes were also 1995.

Too expensive for such small portions. The taste is no different than other Greek restaurants.

Price-performance ratio is an absolute disgrace!!!

The gyro platter for 18 euros was a complete disgrace. The portion was worth half that at most, and it came without any side dishes, which I had to pay extra for. Instead of the garlic bread I ordered, I got bruschetta :( The fries I ordered were just thrown in :( Unfortunately, that was a bad evening. Definitely not a recommendation.

Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. I ordered gyros with rice, but received pasta instead – without any information or questioning. The meat was dry and tasted like it was from the day before. My wife's gyros was also of poor quality – tough and tasted old. Overall, unfortunately, it wasn't enjoyable. We definitely won't be ordering again.

Wenn man den Tintenfisch jahrelang mit einem kleinen Salat serviert und sich dann entschließt, daß Gericht teuerer zu machen und den Salat dafür wegzulassen, ist es genau das, was als Headline steht. Preis-Leistungs- Verhältnis passt nicht mehr. Schade......aber wir kommen sicherlich nicht mehr.

Food was ok so far - but for some unknown reason it wasn't possible to change the side dish! Card payment is only possible from 50 euros - customer service and pampering guests looks different!

Outrageously expensive. 15€ per liter of Coke (3€ for 0.2 liters). The Gyros Überbacken were overcooked and pretty dry (and 18,50€!!!) so I asked for extra Metaxa Soße and was charged a whopping 8€ for about 0.2 liters of sauce!!!! I also asked for fries instead of rice and was charged an extra 3€. For my Gyros Überbacken, half a liter of water, Metaxa Soße, and cappuccino, I paid 37,50€ without a tip. The food isn’t even remotely good enough for those prices. Even the coffee tasted burned. It was one of the worst cappuccinos I’ve had in a long time. The service and atmosphere was really nice and though my gyros were overcooked and dry, they were still pretty tasty, but they can keep their food. For those prices, I can make my own delicious gyros at home for a party of 10. Ridiculous.

Despite the large group, the food came to the table quite quickly and promptly for everyone. The portions were good and tasty.

A wonderful day ends with a wonderful meal. Thank you Antonio and your team. You really are number one in Erlangen. We ate fish fillet with rice + tzatziki. It was a dream. My wife's gyros with fries was also great. Drinks were replenished quickly and the service and friendliness were really great. A really great thank you says Roland.

TK fries, TK schnitzel, TK gyros. Tzatziki tastes like nothing, fries taste like nothing; Even the fries from McDonalds would be better. Schnitzel dry, breading tastes like nothing. Gyros taste like nothing. I could have made the frozen dirt myself. Even our cats didn't want any of it.

We haven't been there for a while and yesterday we were particularly disappointed with the taste and quantity. The Giros was hardly seasoned, there were few fries or tzatziki, everything was rather dry. Unfortunately it doesn't match the price.

Absolutely the worst Greek place I have ever eaten. I ordered food online and it arrived 40 minutes late. The food was cold and the fries, saganaki and bread tasted like rubber. Definitely not recommended. The bifteki was baked with the cheapest cheese and just full of fat.

I've enjoyed going there again and again for years. The delivery was also problem-free and the food tasted good as usual. I would describe the ambience as “okay”. Not bad but not perfect.

The ambience is quite nice. The service was actually really nice. I would have liked to order another drink, but unfortunately no one came. The taste of the food is okay - nothing more. I've eaten better. With a starter, the portions may be fine. Without a starter it was a bit small. Overall, unfortunately not a recommendation.

Finally we can go to our favorite Greek restaurant again! I can only recommend a visit there!!

Despite a reservation, we were assigned a cat table, which would have been absolutely unnecessary as there were enough free tables. The farmer's salad was without olive oil and with a strange vinaigrette that is unrelated to this dish. The grilled calamari with garlic sauce was without the sauce but with an unsuitable other sauce that was also on the side dish. When we asked, the innkeeper explained to us that this was the case and that he and his wife were head chefs. As a host, he was unable to process justified criticism in an appropriate manner, which was a shame.

I really like the atmosphere, especially the outdoor area is authentically Greek. Unfortunately, the food wasn't really convincing. The tzatziki had no seasoning, and almost everything had a yellowish, greasy lemon sauce on it (including the salad). This didn't really fit. The meat was also rather dry overall. A pity.

I had dinner with my wife at Irodion this evening. We enjoyed several starters and main courses very much. Of course, the good food was accompanied by tasty Greek wine. And of course not forgetting the Greek water on the house 😉

Never again. After waiting an hour for the food, this cold one arrived. The gyros looked like kebab pie and was not seasoned at all and totally dry. The calamari was also unseasoned. The advertised salad consisted of a leaf without dressing and was covered by tzatziki. There was no supplement, but for the price it should have been included. The best was the tzatziki, but it was gone after two forks.

It was just great, I can recommend it to everyone. It's always a pleasure to eat there, whether it's the food, the service or the ambience... you always feel good there.

The four of us were there for the first time because we only managed to get a table there at short notice. The place is very large and the atmosphere was strange as there were only four tables occupied on a Friday evening. Ouzo before the meal as a nice gesture, unfortunately not really cold. I had calamari as a starter and octopus as a salad, but unfortunately only in oil. For the main course I chose moussaka despite the relatively high price because I love the dish and often cook it myself. What I got was something that was cold inside, with very little minced meat and eggplant and a thick layer of potato slices on top like a bland board. When asked, it was taken away again, but it still wasn't any better when warm... Oh yes, the brick didn't even come with a salad, I ordered that separately. What came was a handful of coleslaw with a bit of decoration, no cucumber, no pepperoni, nothing. We had ordered bread that never came. Liqueur as a farewell didn't appease us anymore either. Maybe we didn't have a good day, but something like the moussaka suggests a certain way the kitchen is run. It's a shame for the time and money.

Food order via Lieferando was simply canceled after about 45 minutes of waiting. Order at 6:45 p.m Canceled at 7:30 p.m. despite being open until 10 p.m.

Irodian is a hidden gem in Erlangen. Today we went there for dinner, had a very good time. Amazing service, beautiful atmosphere. It will definitely make you go there again. 14/02/24 : visited again. As expected, very friendly service and nice food :)

The ambience is very nice. You will be served quickly and courteously. The food was there in no time. What we noticed was that the gyro was warmed up. The price/performance ratio doesn't fit.

The food is very tasty but some portions are small for adults. In situations like this you have to be brave and say that you would like a larger portion. Otherwise it's quiet and you can enjoy your food. I would definitely recommend it.

Unfortunately everything is ready out of the package. That's my impression. Years ago it was the best Greek in the area. There was also no salt in the food and there was none at the table. But the atmosphere and staff are good. But staff and ambience are of secondary importance to me personally, which is why I will no longer recommend this restaurant or visit it myself.

Friendly, clean and accommodating. Food was generally good. I would like to highlight the vinaigrette on the grilled octopus. I was happy to skip the tzatziki. Moussaka was good but a little dry. Children's meals could use a little more fries. Drinks tasty and in nice, very clean glasses. We found gyros disgusting, nothing was crispy and the meat had the consistency of meat loaf. Somehow it gave the impression that everything was already prepared. As soon as we ordered, the starters arrived and as soon as they were in our stomachs, the main courses arrived.

Absolutely cute restaurant, prices reasonable. The waiters really seem to enjoy their job and are very dedicated and accommodating. The menu hasn't changed for what feels like decades, which is good for nostalgia and comfort on the one hand, but not so much for me as a vegetarian (I take the pasta with Metaxa sauce every single time...). The chocolate soufflé is legendary! Sanitary facilities are nice and clean. I'm happy every time we come here!

Es fehlten komplett die Gewürze. Pommes ohne Salz, Gyros Fleisch trocken und ohne Geschmack, Zaziki mit Zucker und kaum Knoblauch. Das ganze sehr teuer für 20 Euro. Zudem war das Essen kalt. Ich bin sehr Enttäuscht und werde dort nichts mehr bestellen.

Bin zum Ersten Mal dort gewesen und einfach Klasse. Der Geschmack so verführerisch die Anrichtung einfach Profi. Auch der Salat war die Krönung. Dieser Grieche ist empfehlenswert und ich Empfehle ihn. Auf jeden Fall weiter. So gut gegessen wie Dort hab ich schon lange nicht mehr. Der Service sehr Freundlich und sehr zügig. Keine langen Wartezeiten. Das Ambiente willkommen in Griechenland. Einfach Top. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder.

My family's favorite Greek restaurant.

Hallo Welt, Lieferung ist nur 2 Minuten Verspätet angekommen. Darüber haben wir uns sehr gefreut. Diese Freude verging relativ schnell als wir das essen gesehen haben. Nach dem Verzehr war sie komplett weg. Das essen war zu wenig und dafür bin ich allerdings dankbar da es nicht gerade ein Gaumenschmaus war. Es fehlten Gewürze und anständige Qualität. Ich würde hier nie wieder Bestellen.

Hatte den Iridion Teller. Fleisch etwas trocken teilweise. Der Reis war sehr gut wie auch das mega frische leckere Tsatziki! Leider war der Salat ungenießbar, trocken keine Marinade oder dressings darüber oder dabei. Auch gabs nicht mal einen Ouzo aufs Haus wie bei allen Griechen sonst üblich eigentlich! Freundlichkeit war auch nicht so wie sonst üblich beim Griechen! Fazit, gerne wieder aber checkt mal euren Koch und macht ne Personalservice Schulung zur Freundlichen Gastronomie bedienung!

Seit Jahrzehnten sind wir Gäste und Lieferkunden beim Irodion. Bisher war es den Besuch oder die Bestellung immer Wert. Das Essen ist gut und lecker. Fleischgerichte in der Regel saftig und die Beilagen gut zubereitet. Der Service ist wirklich Klasse. Nicht alle sprechen besonders gut Deutsch, aber das tut der Gastfreundlichkeit keinen Abbruch. Auch ist immer genug Personal bitte Ort, um auch bei vollem Lokal gut zurecht zu kommen. Der größte Trumpf ist der wundervolle Biergarten mit viel Grün und großen Bäumen. Einfach wunderbar und sehr zu empfehlen.

Romantischer Biergarten mit Kastanien - bäumen im Original Griechischem - Stil . Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Preise sind abnehmbar. Essen geschmacklich super. Hier stimmt einfach alles. Wir waren zu viert und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. GENIAL.

Ein sehr schönes Lokal. Man sitzt dort außen genauso wie innen ungeheuer nett. Essen ist sehr gut wo man kann auf jeden Fall hingehen. Kritisieren muss ich, dass beispielsweise die Lammkotelettes extrem zart waren, aber der fleischspieß und der octopus wiederum nicht so sehr. War trotzdem alles sehr lecker.
