Ein unglaublicher Abend! So eine tolle Atmosphäre. Das Essen war fantastisch und der Service sehr professionell und zuvorkommend. Echt empfehlenswert. Wir werden wieder kommen. Danke.

Sehr schön und sehr lecker. Euer Außeinbereich ist wunderschön. Da kann man es bei Wind und Wetter aushalten.

Fleischplatte genommen mit Reis und Zaziki. Zaziki war nicht mit dabei (gewöhnlich bei jedem Griechen mit dabei) daher musste es fûr 6,50€ (kleine Portion) extra bestellt werden. Daher 3 Sterne. Sehr schade. Das macht die Portion deutlich teurer als bei anderen griechischen Restaurants.

Ein wirklich hervorragendes Restaurant in Erlangen, ich kann es jedem empfehlen.

Rundum ein sehr schöner Abend, sehr nette Bedienung, gutes Essen auch wenn der Preis etwas höher ausfällt lohnt es sich dazu wenigstens. Dafür ein Luxusgrieche wie man ihn kaum kennt. Wenn man wirklich den rotstift ansetzen möchte, könnte man die Bedienung etwas zügiger kommen aber wer die Gemütlichkeit Griechenlands kennt weiß das es so richtig ist, danke für das Erlebnis.

Wir waren das erste Mal im Poseidon und waren positiv überrascht: super leckeres Essen, Portionen nicht übermäßig groß, freundliches Personal und ein ansprechendes Ambiente. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Geld regiert die Welt! Das Restaurant kenne ich seit ca 20 Jahren und war immer begeistert. In den letzten Jahren musste ich feststellen, wie größer es wurde und schöner. Nur ist hier leider was Tolles verloren gegangen....die familiäre Atmosphäre, die ich hier liebte. Das Essen schmeckt nach wie vor sehr gut, aber der Service lässt immer nach. Sobald das Essen serviert ist, ist man nur irgendwer....und man muss immer nach Bedienung Ausschau halten. Deshalb nur ein großes Dankeschön an die Küche! Und nur deshalb bleibt es für mich immernoch der beste Grieche in der Umgebung.

Sensationell. Wir haben sooo gut gegessen und das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Essen war sehr schnell da und es war wirklich hervorragend. Hab schon lang nicht mehr so gut gegessen. 👍

Leider nur wenige vegetarische Optionen für ein Hauptgericht. Daher ist es das Moussaka geworden. Geschmacklich in Ordnung.

Unglaublich teuer. Der Bauernteller ist alles aus Schwein leider. Nicht mal ein Spieß Hähnchen war dabei. Das günstigste Fleisch, denn warum kostet das 20€? War auch nicht gut durchgebraten.

Das Essen war furchtbar und viel zu teuer… Das Fleisch war zwar lecker, aber nicht durchgebraten 😤 Ich hatte einen gefüllten Burger, der mir auch geschmeckt hat, aber den ganzen Abend danach hatte ich ständig Durchfall und musste neunmal auf die Toilette 🚾 Nach diesem Toiletten-Erlebnis werde ich diesen Laden nie wieder betreten 😤😤😤👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿

Hatte einen Tisch für zwei Personen bestellt. Wir waren bereits oft hier und sehr zufrieden. Als wir ankamen, wurde noch freundlich die Bestellung der Getränke und der Speisen aufgenommen. Wir bestellten als Vorspeise Oktopussalat und gegrillten Oktopus, als Hauptspeise Filetsteak und Spaghetti mit Black-Tiger Garnelen und Shrimps in einer Tomaten-Knoblauchsauce. Beim Filetsteak haben wir Medium als Gargrad mit angegeben. Die Vorspeise war wie erwartet sehr gut! Leider füllte sich das Restaurant bis auf den letzten Tisch und es war innen sehr laut, sodass man sich fast anschreien musste. Nachdem die Vorspeise gegessen und abgeräumt war, mussten wir ein Stunden auf den Hauptgang warten uns sehen, wie Gäste, die später kamen sowohl mit Vor- als auch Hauptspeise bedient wurden. Unsere Weingläser waren inzwischen auch leer und die Aufmerksamkeit des Service zu erlangen, war schwer. Zu sehen, dass andere Gäste dann mittlerweile komplett fertig gegessen hatten, war schon komisch. Sie hatten uns schlichtweg vergessen, sowohl beim Service als auch in der Küche. Als die Hauptspeise kam, war das Filetsteak roh, nur 2 mm Kruste außen. Wir haben dem Service Bescheid gegeben, Teller wurde wieder mitgenommen, nach 15 Minuten wieder gebracht, Filetsteak immer noch roh innen, sehr weit weg und zu roh für Medium. Die Spaghetti hatten genau 2 Black-Tiger Garnelen und 6 Shrimps, die mussten wir unter dem Spaghettiberg suchen. Von Soße kaum was gesehen, daher auch trocken. Beim Abräumen des Tellers mit dem halben rohen Steak, wurden wir gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung war, fast schon ein Witz, auf Anmerkung, dass wir Medium bestellt hatten, kam nur die Rückmeldung wir hätten doch Bescheid sagen können. Als wir mitteilten, dass wir das bereits 1x haben zurückgehen lassen, wollte sie es der Küche weitergeben. Keine weitere Rückmeldung mehr, keine Entschuldigung, gar nichts. Der Knaller dann die Rechnung. Alles wurde voll berechnet, kein Ouzo aufs Haus, kein Kaffee aufs Haus, immer noch keine Entschuldigung. Die Qualität der Hauptspeisen war, verglichen zu den anderen Besuchen von uns, unterirdisch.

Sehr schönes aber auch sehr lautes Restaurant. Während wir noch saßen wurde an den Nebentischen alles gereinigt. Dieses Desinfektionsmittel war für uns alle wirklich abscheulich. Ich würde ein anderes Chemieprodukt wärmstens empfehlen!!!!!

Restaurant ist definitv zu empfehlen. Das Essen hier hat eine hohe Qualität und wird wirklich gut zubereitet. Das Personal ist insgesamt auch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Minimal aufmerksamer könnten sie sein aber das ist Kritik auf hohem Niveau.

Als nicht Erlanger kann ich nur sagen, dass die Qualität der Speisen über die letzten Jahre gleichbleibend gut sind und das Service immer freundlich ist.

I was there at lunchtime with my mom and it was quite busy. The food was delicious and plentiful, and the staff were friendly. The prices are typical for 2025.

First, the positives. The decor is very nice. The food is tasty. However, what we didn't like was the limited seating. When we pointed out that it was very cramped and asked if there was any other option, we were simply told that the table was for six people. So, no compromise whatsoever. Then there was the noise level. Worse than a train station. A normal conversation was impossible. There was also no ouzo, which is something you'd expect in a Greek restaurant.

We have enjoyed going to Poseidon for many years. Either in the beautiful and well-kept beer garden or in the restaurant. Food very good - only the salad could do with more refinement. Service nice and attentive. Unfortunately prices are a bit expensive.

After years, we returned here. The room was cold, so the food, although served quite quickly, quickly got cold. Service was inattentive and unmotivated; they walked past the table four times without even taking the empty plates, unfortunately, with barely a smile on their faces. The gyros were overseasoned for me, and the value for money was poor. The portion was too small. One man wouldn't get full. Overall, a shame.

Upscale southern ambiance, clear menu, good value for money. We enjoy coming here. The service deserves special mention; they asked several times if everything was OK. There were 11 of us, and the food was served at the same time, which is rare. In my opinion, the best Greek restaurant in Erlangen.

I don't understand why so many people like the food here. Dry pork on a skewer, over-seasoned mince, burnt shrimp, food like it was 30 years ago. The decor is nice, and we felt comfortable, but the food was pseudo-Greek and below average. What can the owners do if that's what the customers want? Still, it's a shame for us.

A very, very good Greek restaurant! Both the main courses and desserts are highly recommended! The outdoor area is very nice. We also enjoyed the inside. Service is friendly and courteous. Reservations are recommended. It's certainly a bit more expensive, but it's justified.

Outside in the beer garden, there's a great ambiance with modern furnishings and beautiful parasols. Very stylish lighting and a truly cozy atmosphere.

Our first visit to Poseidon was an absolute delight! The atmosphere was elegant and welcoming, and the food was simply delicious. The garden is a beautiful, relaxing space that made our evening even more enjoyable. From now on, this will be my go-to spot for catching up with friends. My only wish is that they stayed open a bit later than 10:30 pm, as we weren’t ready to end our lovely conversation. Thank you to the wonderful Poseidon team!

The restaurant has a large outdoor area, which is nice in itself, but when it's a bit cooler outside, it's not so practical, as the interior was completely closed. Unfortunately, there were no blankets, so we didn't stay very long. The food was really delicious, though. We would have appreciated a welcome gift from the kitchen (e.g., bread), as is customary at Greek restaurants. Otherwise, nothing to complain about; friendly service, and prices are reasonable.

I can't comment on the price, as I was there for a company party. Otherwise, everything was great! We wanted to sit in the garden in 20-degree weather and rain. The huge umbrellas kept us from getting wet, and it was very pleasant. The appetizers were excellent, especially the eggplant paste. The main course was a fish platter. The flavor and cooking were top-notch. Unfortunately, I have to complain that lemon slices were missing from all the fish platters. The staff was very friendly and quick. I'd be happy to come back. The chef even gave us a couple of bottles of ouzo on the house.

We returned to the Poseidon after a while and were disappointed compared to the previous restaurant, when it served us delicious Greek food with a certain something extra. The service was rather unambitious. All the extras from the old days, including bread and ouzo, were gone. So we probably won't be coming back anytime soon.

Highly recommended! An institution in Erlangen. Quality, tradition, kindness and professionalism. The summer garden is a holiday in Santorini. Generous portions and honest prices, practically the perfect formula. We are now loyal customers and have never been disappointed. Keep it up!

The beer garden is nice and there are enough umbrellas in case of emergency

This was always our second favorite Greek restaurant in Erlangen. A while ago, we wanted to eat here and asked in advance if the €50 voucher we had from before the coronavirus outbreak was still valid. It had expired about three to four months ago. We were told it was no longer valid. I found that rather cheeky, as many restaurants had been very accommodating due to the lockdown. We weren't even offered a small concession, such as allowing us to use some of the remaining portion. The same thing happened to my sister here. We haven't been going there since. It's a shame, because the food is actually very good.

Wir waren mit zwei befreundeten Paaren Abendessen im Poseidon. Ein Pärchen musste den Abend vorzeitig abbrechen, weil es ihr plötzlich sehr schlecht ging (Bauchkrämpfe etc) und 4 weitere Personen von uns hatten im Verlauf der nächsten Stunden auch alle Bauchschmerzen, Blähungen, Durchfall, Erbrechen und eine sogar Fieber. Wir wissen nicht genau, an was es lag, haben aber den Auberginensalat im Verdacht. Den hatten jedenfalls alle Betroffenen. Der ansonsten sehr nette Abend war dadurch natürlich komplett überschattet. Das Restaurant wird uns nicht mehr sehen. Ich gehe heute (3 Tage nach Restaurantbesuch sogar zum Arzt, weil die Symptome einfach nicht verschwinden wollen).

We had a wonderful evening with great food, nice hospitality and delicious drinks. Addition . Since we liked it so much, we went back a day later and were really excited. One of my favorite restaurants in Erlangen. The food is very tasty and fresh. When I go, I always order something different to eat and I’m always surprised. I need to say that I love the Moussaka and the traditional desserts. And the service is always perfect. I really recommend it!

Poseidon is a Greek flagship restaurant. The service is super attentive and always on hand. The food, in my case gyros and bifteki, had a very good taste and was freshly prepared. The gyro was juicy and crispy at the same time. The dining room is stylish, but for my taste it could have been a little cooler.

A beautiful and stylish Greek restaurant. The fish plate was nice and the liver was also delicious. In general, we were satisfied. The coffee we ordered after the meal came with sugar, it should have been asked in advance, and water was not brought with it, so I am giving one point less.

Always serves a good food with a lot of amount. I always leave the restaurant with full belly. If you are looking for seafood or griled steak I would go here. It is tasty.

The food was prefect. The grilled octopus served here made me realize that octopus is for sure my favorite seafood. My colleagues were similiarly satisfied with their starters. As for the main course, my lamb kotletes were simply perfect. I can't remember when last I had lamb so good. The fried potatoes were also inredibly tasty. I highly recommend this place.

It's a shame, it's a shame, I was a regular guest for 30 years. Became more and more exclusive and disproportionately more expensive. A great restaurant - you like to see Mr.Dr.xxx or Mrs. von yyy there. No longer a restaurant for the “normal” citizen. Well We'll probably have to look for another Greek. Take care Poseidon 🤔

The food was excellent and the service was very friendly!

We were 100% satisfied: the starter plate was excellent, the extremely tasty creams of sheep's cheese, eggplant, fish rye and the tzatziki were a poem, but also the "little things" like really good olives (Kalamata, not cheap colored stuff) or the fantastic feta made the enjoyment perfect. Also highly recommended are the baked zucchini/aubergine! The main courses were also excellent, everything fresh, tasty, perfect! Most praise goes to the delicious moussaka, it's great that it's on the menu, authentically Greek and to the grilled fish platter, great fish, calamari and scampi grilled to perfection! Yummy!!! We happily recommend Poseidon!
