Irodion in Schweinfurt

Wir waren gestern zum 2.Mal im Irodion und, gelinde gesagt, enttäuscht.wir bekommen die Karte, bestellen eine Flasche Samos, Samos ist aus, nur in der Karaffe möglich…ok…wir bestellen Gyros mit Leber, 5 Minuten später, Leber haben wir nicht da. Bedienung sehr unprofessionell( junger Mann), ok…wir wollen das Essen mitnehmen dann, weil noch viel übrig war, Reaktion….man überreicht uns eine Styroporbox zum Selber einpacken…super… das ist ganz schlechter Service für den Preis ( 76 Euro…2 Essen, 1Vorspeise, 1Karaffe Wein mit irgendwas drin, 1Wasser, 1 Cola…bei immer weniger Kundschaft…..sollte ganz schnell was verbessert werden, die anderen sind um Längen besser….das Einzigste,was positiv war, das Essen hat geschmeckt….aber…Leute….zu Hause schmeckt es auch gut…warum kommen wir zu Euch? Natürlich wegen gutem Service….gestern Bessere Bahnhofskneipe

Yesterday, as a bus driver, I went to dinner with our police candidates. We were greeted and served very friendly. Everyone thought the food was delicious, the portions were large so everyone was full. The dining room and terrace are beautifully decorated. We will often come to eat with our candidates. Keep it up with praise to the boss and the staff

All the dishes were once again very tasty 😋 For five people, it's worth ordering a starter portion of tzazikki, because the small bowl that comes with the dishes as standard is a bit small in my opinion. However, this is the case in most Greek restaurants...

Apart from that, the ambience is incredibly beautiful and well coordinated. The service is simply great. You order something to drink and it's there in less than a minute. The food also came very quickly and was incredibly tasty. The portions are a bit smaller and the food is a bit more expensive than at the cheap Greek restaurant. Still, it's enough to be a set and definitely worth the price

Good food. Only the furnishings (tables and chairs) are inconvenient. Update: The inside has now been beautifully renovated.👍

We were and are there quite often before and after the renovation: the food is high quality, plentiful and very tasty! Both classic Greek meat dishes and the vegan options are excellent! We had a vegan main course order at the table (from a non-vegan, simply because the dish sounded so good) and the very attentive waitress even asked if she should deliver the side salad vegan too! The home-baked warm (corn?) bread that is served with the entrée tzatziki is really to die for!!! First there is an ouzo and a small ice cream for dessert - all on the house. (By the way, the staff is impeccably polite and attentive, but we are extremely missing the wonderful waiter, whose name we unfortunately don't know, who was employed before the renovation :'( ) Sometimes you're lucky and find accommodation spontaneously without a reservation, but one is recommended! We liked the furnishings and ambience better before, it was rustic and cozy and my daughter was also allowed to use the piano. Now the omnipresent industrial-style style is a bit cold - above all, it's really uncomfortable to sit on the row of long benches at a table for two, so to speak, on the lap of complete strangers and have to listen to their private conversations - for us it has become silent Meal held because we didn't want to exchange ideas with listeners... ;) Nevertheless, we will be happy to come back again and again!

It's best to reserve a table! We were there on Tuesday at 5 p.m. and spontaneously got a table for 3 (4) people. It was really well attended.

Today we spent my birthday with 6 people at Irodion. The service is super friendly and accommodating. We all enjoyed the dishes (starters, the bread served with them, the various main courses and side dishes) very much. The price/performance ratio is great. We can definitely recommend the Irodion!

The food was good. We wanted to change the table and sit near the window. But they said that all tables were reserved even though the restaurant was half full the whole time. We don't want to go there anymore for this reason

The best Greek within reach with a good selection of Greek cuisine, not just the usual but also some that you don't get everywhere. Fresh and good quality ingredients as well as the good staff round the whole thing off. The atmosphere there is very pleasant and nothing is run of the mill. All in all highly recommended.

I got the wrong food, but the replacement was just as good. I was offered several times to have the food I ordered, but I politely declined. In return we got ouzo on the house. Very nice and courteous service. Very tasty food

No picture, but the best review I've ever written. We were with you at Easter with the life support group Konzi. We rarely have the best table. The table where we carers can walk around the outside to provide assistance. We had everything with you: so much fun, a very good meal. The best care, help getting in with the large e-wheelchair, such a clean, barrier-free and friendly, family atmosphere, is there twice in Schweinfurt? Then we were with you with my dear friends from the Hawaiian Hula course. We had a large table to ourselves again. This x not at the front of the bar, but at the back. How well. Best table ever. We were able to laugh out loud and be happy, we've been so busy since November 23rd, it was an experience with such a great menu and the best service, truly worthy of hotel professionals. We had dinner with Tasso and his team with a total of 11 people. We still know and love him from the old Ilmenau Irodion times and were looking forward to seeing him again. The dishes are all very tasty, beautifully prepared and of high quality. The ambience is pleasant and the space at the table is generous. Our reunion was very warm, we were very happy and will definitely come back to the Irodion restaurant in Schweinfurt.

As a starter, a portion of saziki which would certainly have been enough for two Good and tasty portions and friendly staff

After the renovation, the ambience has become friendlier and more inviting. Unfortunately, the food has not changed since the Corona crisis. No longer the same quality as before Corona. A pity. The gyros in particular are not crispy and seem like they have been cooked.

It was very tasty - we had gyros, meat skewers and garlic potatoes. Great modern atmosphere. Very friendly, attentive staff. For our daughter there was a schnapps to toast with, for us there was a welcome ouzo. A coloring page and pens were provided for the little one. We'd love to come back.

We gave it 5 out of 5 stars, but that doesn't mean everything is perfect. Simply the price/quality ratio in this restaurant is excellent. The food is very tasty. The menu is varied. The girl who brought our order was very sweet and kind. Date of visit: 03.23.24 All staff need to follow her example. The menu is very glare due to the terrible combination of “pockets” and glossy paper, the light is reflected and nothing can be read. The tables are very strange, in order to sit upright and closer to the table you need to cross your legs. Nobody has canceled ordinary tables with 1 or 4 legs yet. The view from the windows is terrible and spoils the atmosphere. It would be better to cover the windows with decors, it would be better. Our order did not arrive for a long time. Unfortunately, the tea had time to cool down, and the Coca-Cola had time to dissipate while our order was being brought to us. All the disadvantages are covered by delicious food. The portions are large and that's nice.

We particularly recommend the vegan menu!!! I tried the vegan food and it was super tasty. The portions are very large and the price-performance ratio is really good. It would be great if you could put the vegan menu on the internet, we were really surprised that it existed. Another tip: a slightly cheaper lunch menu for working people who want to eat something quickly would be good. We'd love to come back, it's really great there. My companion's meat dish was also very tasty. The service was courteous and very friendly.

Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, das Essen sehr lecker und reichlich. Zu unserem Erstaunen gab es eine extra vegane Karte, die ich gleich ausprobiert habe. Das vegane Essen war super und hat echt gut geschmeckt. Auch das normale Fleischgericht kann man weiterempfehlen. Es war alles sehr lecker und reichlich. Die Preise sind nicht gerade günstig, aber für ein gutes Essen geben wir gerne etwas mehr aus. Und das Essen war es echt wert. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Delicious! Best waiter in town! Kids friendly and the food is great too! Unfortunately I have to revise that a bit. Today we were there with 3 children, had reserved and asked for 2 children's chairs, unfortunately none were available, only after 40 minutes, but then only one. Then the children's meal came about 20 minutes after ordering, the adult meal after over 70 minutes, which is not very helpful, especially for small children, and a clear reason for us not to come with children anymore. Apart from that, we waited forever for cutlery and there were only 3 napkins in the cutlery bucket, even though there were 6 of us. A pity. And then at the end the high price, 2 drinks, 1 adult and a children's meal, almost 40€, unfortunately that tops the whole thing again.

Here you can find delicious food at slightly higher prices in a nice atmosphere. The portions are filling. The drink prices are also slightly above average. The staff is very attentive, even when the restaurant is full, but not intrusive and always friendly. That's what you want.

We always enjoyed eating at the irodion, but unfortunately after the reopening things went down drastically. Only mass processing, overwhelmed and unfriendly service, fries and garlic potatoes were unfortunately reheated and were extremely dry and not crispy as usual, meat was burnt, side salad came an hour before the meal, not every guest was treated equally

The renovation has given the place a fresh energy. Now for the most important thing – the food! The selection is amazing. Whether you like meat, fish or vegetarian delicacies, you will find them here. But I have to especially rave about the appetizers and salads. They're amazing! The Greek appetizer platters are perfect for feasting your way through a variety of flavors. The selection of fresh salads is impressive - crunchy vegetables, delicious feta, and the dressings are easy to put together. You can feel the dedication with which the dishes are prepared with every bite. The quality of the ingredients is top-notch, and you can just taste it. The portions are generous, so don't go home with a growling stomach! The service is so friendly that you almost feel like a VIP. The people at Irodion really know how to pamper guests. We go here regularly with friends, colleagues and even customers. It's just the perfect place to spend time. In summary, Irodion is definitely one of the best restaurants here. If you are looking for a place that not only scores with delicious food, but also with a great atmosphere, then head to Irodion!

Sehr leckeres Essen , ein klasse Service und die Preise sind auch gut. Tolles Ambiente man merkt hier ist ein Gastronom mit Leidenschaft am Werk. Kann man nur absolut weiterempfehlen!

Spontaner Besuch nach dem Einkaufen um die Mittagszeit. Freundliche Begrüßung vom Personal. Wenig Gäste um diese Zeit, was auch nicht verwunderlich ist. Schöne neue Einrichtung (Stühle), die harmonisch farblich aufeinander abgestimmt ist u. lt. meinem Bekannten auch bequem sind. Die Leuchten an der Decke/Wand spiegeln ein Muster zurück, sieht schon toll aus. Als Nicht-Fleischesser hatte ich Calamari (zäh), Tomatenreis (lecker), Tzatziki u. mit Käse überbackenen sehr bissfesten Blumenkohl. Das Gemüse passte nicht zu dem Gericht u. hatte wenig Geschmack. Der Rest 'wanderte' auf den Teller meines Bekannten. Das Getränk was ich hatte, schmeckte abgestanden. Einfach nicht mein Tag, kann passieren. Der Service könnte aufmerksamer sein. Wir waren früher öfters hier, es fehlt halt Heiko, sorry.

Standart Gerichte nicht der Hit. Reis latschig Kartoffeln latschig und nach nichts schmecken. Metaxa war ok Preise für Schweinfurt im Rahmen gibt bessere Läden

Nach der Pandemie haben sich leider viele Restaurants angewöhnt, auch weiterhin auf Kissen für die Terrassen-Möbel zu verzichten! Als wir um zwei Kissen baten, sagte man uns hier, sie hätten nur 10 Kissen und die wären belegt... Das ist ein Armutszeugnis! Wenn wir mit dem Fahrrad ins Restaurant fahren, nehmen wir schon immer Kissen mit, aber manchmal vergessen wir sie eben auch mal. Wäre ich Restaurant-Betreiber, würde ich mich schämen, wenn die Gäste ihre eigenen Kissen mitbringen würden! Ja und leider hat es das Essen auch nicht entschädigen können.

Nun gebe ich diesem Lokal noch ein letztes Mal alle Sterne! Leider ist am Sonntag, dem 02.07.2023 erstmal Schluss dort! Es müssen große Renovierungsarbeiten gemacht werden und es wird voraussichtlich 6!!!! Monate geschlossen sein! Das macht mich etwas wehmütig, denn das war definitiv der beste Grieche in ganz Schweinfurt! Sie überzeugten mit Qualität und sehr gutem Service! Ich hoffe, er wird nach der Neueröffnung Anfang nächsten Jahres, genau so weiter machen!

Super tolle Restaurant etwas abgelegen und im Gewerbegebiet eher aber man hat seine Ruhe. Die Bedienung war super lieb und freundlich 1a Service waren zum ersten Mal dort und haben uns sofort einen guten Eindruck hinterlassen weiter so 😊

Leider nur 4 Sterne für das Ambiente... die Einrichtung innen ist sehr modern und angenehm. Leider ist das Lokal an einer Hauptverkehrsstraße gelegen und auf der Terrasse bekommt man viel vom Verkehr ab... Ansonsten ist das Lokal sehr zu empfehlen, der Service ist top, die Speisen lecker und das hausgebackene Brot zum Zaziki ist himmlisch 😍 Wer noch nicht dort war, muss das unbedingt ausprobieren.

Dieses Restaurant war ein Zufallsfund bei der Pause auf einer längeren Reise. Wir waren sehr angetan vom freundlichen Service, aber auch der Qualität der Speisen. Besonders gut geschmeckt hat uns die Vorspeisenplatte sowie das frische Knoblauchbrot. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

A recent revisit April 2023 : The hospitality and food remained consistently great. I took on Number 191 - tender grilled squid filled with feta, edam, tomatoes and paprika, what an explosion of delicious flavours! It is the type of dish that you imagine yourself eating on a holiday, indeed I was briefly transported to the Greek islands at first bite ❤️ If you fancy a taste of the Mediterranean cuisine without leaving Germany, know that there are many Greek restaurants dotted around Schweinfurt to satisfy your feta fetish. I just rewatched the 2 Mama Mia movies and I was craving for some Aegean cuisine. The Menu here includes tried and true favourites like spanakopita, souvlaki, gyros and the Mixteller seem to be a fave for the regulars. And if you don’t fancy meat, there are also many pescatarian options- especially the Lachs, its just about perfect once I squeezed some lemon over it. I find that Greek cuisine certainly does not hold back when it comes to flavour and all the Greek classics are good here. Portions are generous, so bring your appetite! Expect super friendly staffs that strives to make you feel at home immediately. After our hearty dinner, looking forward to view My Big Fat Greek Wedding movie😂

Das Essen war sehr gut, es gibt große Portionen.

Wir standen mit dem Wohnmobil ganz in der Nähe. Das Äußere des Gebäudes lässt nicht erahnen welche Perle sich hinter dem Eingang versteckt. Ich habe selten so ein freundliches und aufmerksames Personal erleben dürfen. Der Chef ist Gastgeber und nicht einfach nur ein netter Gastwirt. Hier passt alles.

Von außen macht es erst mal den Eindruck einer Imbissbude. Innen ist das Ambiente schöner. Der Service ist der nett und zuvorkommend. Preise sind gehoben, Essen ist sehr lecker.

Die Vorspeisen sind eine 5 von 5. Die Hauptgerichte leider nur eine 3 von 5. die Bedienung ist eine 100 von 5 (super witzig und sympathisch). Zusammengefasst somit einigten Grieche und zu empfehlen.

Das Essen war suuuperlecker, der Kellner verbreitete Fröhlichkeit, gute Laune und war extremst aufmerksam und zugewandt!!.......laaaange nicht so köstlich, preisgünstig, umfangreich und zufrieden(100%) gegessen. Würden wir hier wohnen, wär DAS "unser" Grieche! Absolut empfehlenswert!

Am Sonntag waren wir seit langem wieder mal hier essen. Es war warm und wir konnten draußen sitzen. Kaum saßen wir, bestellten wir unsere Getränke und bekamen kurz darauf auch unseren Ouzu. Unsere zwei Portionen Gyros kamen auch wirklich schnell. Die Ober waren sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Ich musste nicht mal nach einer Box fragen. Als er merkte, dass ich mein Essen nicht schaffe, brachte der Ober mir schon eine Box. TOP!! Der Service war hervorragend. Das Essen geschmacklich top. Nur die Preise wurden etwas erhöht. Kleiner Minuspunkt. Gyros mit Bratkartoffeln/Reis je 13,90€
