Dogs not welcome! Unfortunately, you only find out about this when you stand in front of the restaurant. Very annoying. I didn't find any reference anywhere on Google or on the homepage.

A very nice, cozy restaurant, the service and the food were simply impeccable, good home cooking cooked in the pan. It stands out from the crowd due to its quality. Keep it up!👌

Haben uns auf einen tollen Abend gefreut in einem sehr gut besuchten rustikalen Restaurant. Ohne Tisch-Vorbestellung wird es schwer. Service wirkte angesichts der Gäste als etwas überfordert und konzeptionslos. Die Getränke dauerten und würden zweimal aufgenommen. Essen war super, aber den Preis fanden wir etwas überzogen.

I haven't eaten so well in a long time! The trout fillets were very well seasoned, as was everything around them. The garlic sauce for the tagliatelle was perfectly seasoned. The owner was great at giving advice on wine and everyone was very nice. The atmosphere was also very cozy.

Delicious, nostalgic and friendly

We were looking for a restaurant with down-to-earth food at short notice and found it here. This is a really great restaurant and highly recommended! The boss himself served us and was always very friendly and warm! We were served very good and delicious food. Even during the meal he asked if everything was good, that's how service should be!

I only ate mushroom soup here. It was very tasty, great atmosphere and friendly service.

Super nice people! The semolina pudding is homemade and tastes fantastic. Everything else was also very tasty. You have to go there!

Die Fassade des Lokals sowie die Karte vor der Tür haben uns dazu geführt, zu reservieren. Eine gute Entscheidung. Ein lächelnder Wirt empfang uns mit Leichtigkeit und Freundlichkeit. Die Karte bietet viele Klassiker des Harzes, zum Beispiel geräucherte Forelle aus einer nahgelegenen Zucht, das Würzfleisch in kleiner Portion, eine magere Wildsülze, und klassisches aus dem Osten. Tolles Essen, gute Weine aus Deutschland und eine tolle Stimmung mit einem anekdotenreichen und zugewandten Wirt. Der erste Abend war so gut, dass wir wieder gekommen sind. Der zweite Abend war genauso schön und lecker wie der erste.

We had pre-ordered - without this..., spontaneously..., at least on this evening, a Thursday..., no chance. First impression: pretty tight here! Second and every subsequent impression: Hard to beat in terms of discomfort! It's so tight that we were afraid the guests at the next table would sit on our laps! What is the point of “eating out?” For us, it means good conversations with friends and exciting food (well, the latter - price-performance…, rather questionable) Unfortunately, we heard all the conversations from the other tables excellently, including ours. Congratulations, I hope you liked our topics! It then became very annoying when it came to paying: no card payment was possible and if you wanted to pay separately, you had to walk through the narrow confines of the restaurant to the counter. Really great, it would have been better in that case if I were delicate and small! Unfortunately I'm not. Sorry again to the guest who unintentionally had my ass on his neck. The waiter was professional, but at the limit thanks to the large crowd of guests. It's a shame, it wasn't a successful evening and absolutely NOT recommended for me!

We landed here for dinner yesterday. We sat in the garden and it was really nice. For dinner we had schnitzel au four and trout fillets with tagliatelle, garlic sauce and vegetables. I know, strange combination. Since dishes without meat are very scarce there, that was my solution. So, the fish was fried dry. The noodles were even worse. Pre-cooked and warmed up in the pan. Partly dried out and the rest a piece. The vegetables, well. Broccoli should be green, not gray. And everything unseasoned. The meat was also very firm and not seasoned enough. Certainly fun for GDR nostalgia fans, but not for the prices. The service was quick and attentive and you feel very comfortable in the garden. But because of the food we won't go there again.

Das Personal war leider nicht wirklich freundlich, obwohl auch nicht viel los war. Die Gerichte sind extrem hochpreisig und die Menge ist sehr sehr wenig. Also wenn man es von früher kennt, dann leider keine Empfehlung mehr. Das Harzer Käsefondues wurde leider auch von der Karte genommen. Das Essen an sich hat aber geschmeckt. Ankommende Personen ohne Reservierung wurden relativ unfreundlich darauf hingewiesen, dass kein Platz mehr ist. Nun ja… Schade.

A great place to stay, there is nothing to discuss about the food, absolutely top, taste perfect. But what really sets this restaurant apart from others is the special extra and the attention to detail and the children who dine with you. The cutlery is beautiful, for the adults and for the children. For example, how the ice cream is served (some ice cream parlors can learn something from this). But also the attentiveness of the owner, the balanced friendliness, there was something very nice about it. I have to say that we felt very comfortable there and the food tasted incredibly good. Simply a very harmonious, harmonious and great overall package. Really rarely experienced something like that. Thank you.

This is a super great restaurant and absolutely recommended! The boss himself serves every guest and is always very friendly and warm! Today we were served super good and very tasty food. We were able to reserve a table for four people at short notice on a Saturday evening and definitely didn't regret it. The nice lady from the service was extremely attentive and kind, even though she was alone. The food was super tasty and tasted freshly prepared. Anyone who likes hearty cuisine is definitely in good hands here. Price performance was appropriate considering the quality and quantity of the main courses. Unfortunately, at least on this day, no card payment was possible. All in all, a very well-rounded restaurant experience. A clear recommendation from me!

If you want to experience something special, both from a culinary and spatial perspective, you shouldn't miss this restaurant. We've eaten there twice now at short intervals and have been thrilled every time. We were looking for a restaurant with good food and found it. It is a small but fine restaurant. It was furnished with an eye for detail and invites you to stay. The staff is friendly and attentive right from the start. The menu has something for everyone and is clear. The price/performance ratio is right. We had 3 different dishes, which were well prepared and tasted very good. The quantity and also the quality were 1a. There is nothing to complain about. We would always like to come back and can only warmly recommend the restaurant.

Delicious asparagus cream soup, divine schnitzel and a delicious local beer, all served by very friendly staff. Recommended!

It looked better than it was. We sat inside. There are very strong kitchen smells there. Really uncomfortable. The food was average.

Great food, great service, we would love to come back

Ambiance and service really nice. Food - we each had 2 starters (a slice of Harz cheese each and a large portion of spiced meat each, which corresponded to the size of a mini portion) - nothing special. The price-performance ratio is a disgrace. We actually go out to eat often and are not stingy, but we have never experienced something like this for a total of 42 euros with a small beer and a juice spritzer. We've lost our appetite with this pricing!

Had a nice bite to eat today. Top quality. A few little things outside could be changed, empty flower pots or faded flowers... an Easter decoration or planting would be nice. Please recommend the dish of the day, roast lamb was great, but it was only written outside so it was added to the daily menu. Absolutely recommended here.

Puuuuh … Preis/Leistung gehen hier leider weit auseinander. Service sehr gut, Ambiente passt auch. Aber das Essen war leider nur unterer Durchschnitt mit sehr ordentlichen Preisen. Schade.

Surprisingly different! Enjoyed for the first time since the tenant changed. The menu: no 0-8-15, finely selected dishes based on the region, high quality and freshly prepared, attractively presented and served by friendly, not intrusive but attentive service. You have to take the cramped space calmly - the space is used optimally but you only have limited privacy. The food is really highly recommended and the price is absolutely reasonable.

Great little inn with rustic and loving furnishings. The German food is fresh and yet served quickly. Regional cuisine is important. The service is friendly and attentive. There is also readily available information and tips for tourists. As a little treat, when you finish the dishes from the children's menu, there is a lovingly created free ice cream scoop for the little guests

A great restaurant. The design of the restaurant is very nostalgic, but implemented in a very cool way. The highlight for me was the cutlery, which was engraved. The food was sufficient, tasty and homemade. The prices are normal and reasonable. The service was very friendly and accommodating as well as quick. Will come back there again.

Today we had dinner with 6 people, food was good but small portions!!! Left 260€ there, 520DM! Don't forget!!! But a 6 euro tip wasn't enough for the waitress, as we could tell from the facial expressions and comments! Wasn't a snapper!!! Sorry, we don't have to have any more!!!

Very pleasant, quaint restaurant. Even without a reservation, they quickly got us a table. The children received great cards with a good selection. Everyone enjoyed it, so we'd love to come back!

I found it very tight. There were two couples sitting pretty close to each other and bumping into the chairs when you tried to get up. Value for money is quite expensive for what you have on your plate. We only waited for the drinks at the beginning but the service was very nice. What I really liked was that there was a scoop of ice cream for our child, but the ice cream cup was made of metal and looked very unappetizing. You should think about buying a new ice cream sundae. A 0.5 ml beer costs 5.30 euros which is quite expensive. But overall it was okay.

I have to say it was tasty!!!! But I think schnitzel from the deep fryer because the food came so quickly, you can't fry schnitzel for 5 people that quickly (15 minutes). Very expensive for a medium portion.

War okay, finde es aber recht teuer

Super tolle kleine Gaststätte die ihren Namen zu recht trägt. Lecker Essen, Preis Leistung stimmt und sehr nette Inhaber.

Das Essen ist ein Genuss....Lecker Bierchen, guter Wein. Deshalb wie immer ausgebuchte Tische....man sollte reservieren. Ein junger Mann serviert.....sehr professionell.. Alle essen die die Küche verlassen hatten, sahen sehr appetitlich aus. Leider ist man irgendwann mal satt. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Meine Freundin und ich waren gestern, den 16.12.23 gegen 16Uhr hier und waren sehr begeistert. Ich hatte mir zwar nicht ganz das Richtige ausgesucht (hatte das erste Mal Grünkohl und ist leider nicht so meins^^). Die Gans war lecker, die Soße auch. Meine Freundin hatte Schnitzel mit Pilzsoße (bzw., wie ich es kenne und nenne, Jägerschnitzel) und Bratkartoffeln und war auch sehr lecker. Doch abgesehen vom Essen waren wir sehr vom Kellner begeistert, der zu der Zeit den Laden ganz alleine geschmissen hat. Also, wenn auch in der Küche nur eine Person stehen sollte, dann "Hut ab". Ich mag Menschen die aufmerksam sind, da auch ich in der Gastronomie tätig bin und sowas sehr wichtig finde. Der Kellner und der Koch/die Köchin (oder die Küchencrew) haben hervorragende Arbeit geleistet und daher empfehle ich das Restaurant gerne weiter. Bitte macht weiter so!

Klein und fein, spontan die zwei letzten Plätze am Tresen bekommen. Essen hervorragend, Service auf Zack und sehr freundlich.

Wir waren gestern Abend dort essen, es war ein wunderbarer Abschluss vom Urlaub! Das Essen (Wildschmorbraten & Wildgulasch) waren köstlich! Die Kellerin macht einen super Job und hat trotz ausgebuchter Gaststätte, niemanden lange warten lassen und sehr viel gute Laune versprüht. Großes Lob an die Küche, wir kommem im nächsten Urlaub wieder und empfehlen Sie wärmstens weiter!

Die Speisekarte war abwechslungsreich und das Essen gut. Das Ambiente an sich ist ganz gemütlich (“nostalgisch”). Deutlich negativ ist leider anzumerken, dass (trotz Reservierung) die Tische viel zu eng standen. Ein Durchkommen war z.T. schwierig möglich und man saß so eng, dass man die Gäste, die hinter einem saßen, manchmal berührt hat - etwas unangenehm. Es gab auch Tische, die deutlich mehr Platz aufwiesen - diese hatten wir leider nicht. Im Hinblick auf die Plätze: manchmal ist weniger mehr. Der Service war in Ordnung, obwohl die Bedienung (vermutlich aufgrund der hohen Auslastung) etwas “kurz angebunden” war (auch gerade gegenüber Gästen ohne Reservierung). Zu einer Zeit mit weniger Gästeaufkommen ist das Restaurant sicherlich empfehlenswerter.

Ein sehr urigen Lokal. Wir haben uns dafür entschieden da es die "Harzer Schlachteplatte "anbot. Leiderwar diese dann an unserem Reservierungstag nicht mehr vorrätig. Die Karte lässt aber genug Auswahl und Alternativen. Das Personal pfiffig und nett.Wirkten nicht gestresst ,obwohl der Ladel echt voll war. Reservierung erforderlich. Das Essen war super. Wir hatten Würzfleich,Rotkohlroulade mit Wild gefüllt und Sauerfleisch...Alles super! Das einzige Manko die Bestuhlung..alles sehr eng. Daher nimmt man unweigerlich an den Gesprächen vom Nebentisch teil.

Wir waren am 22.11.2023 im kleinen Paradies essen. Es hat uns super geschmeckt👍.Ich hatte die Bratensülze und mein Mann den Wildschmorbraten. Es war so lecker, dass wir uns noch Sülze im Glas mitgenommen haben. Wir kommen zwar aus Berlin aber es wird nicht unser letzter Aufenthalt im kleine Paradies gewesen sein. Bis bald😊

Alles Top. Schneller Service, Gutes schmackhaftes Essen. Freundliche Bedienung. EC-Zahlung war leider heute nicht möglich . Kein Problem. Wir hatten ausreichend Bargeld.

Ein sehr schönes kleines Restaurant. Auch an einem Wochenende war es sehr gut besetzt. Eine Reservierung ist zu empfehlen. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Unsere bstellten Essen waren nett angerichtet und sehr schmackhaft. Oje, nun leider doch noch einen Nachtrag zu unserem zweiten Besuch vom Sonnabend. Nur die Fakten. Plätze hatten wir reserviert. Unser Aufenthalt 1,5 Stunden mit Essen und Getränken. Eine weitere Bestellung von Getränken war nicht möglich. Wir mussten gehen.

Wir waren zu Dritt vor einer Premiere in der Konzertkirche im kleinen Paradies. Sehr freundlich humorvoll und zuvorkommender Service. Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich, also ein Indiz für frische Zubereitung. Die Zusammenstellung ist, um einen klassischen Begriff zu verwenden, sehr gut bürgerlich. Das Steak on Four war sehr zart und reichlich, die Pommes waren wohl auch selbst gemacht. Das Sülzfleisch im Verschluss Glas zu belassen ist eine gute Idee, somit ist Frische garantiert. Fazit: sehr gut gegessen mit garantierter Wiederholung. Das rustikale Ambiente ist erfreulicherweise vom Vorgänger weitgehend übernommen worden. Ein Restaurant mit Wohlfühl Charakter.
