After visiting India a few years ago and trying out several Indian restaurants, we can say that Shivas was the best and most authentic food we've ever had! The vegan Mango Sabji was a dream, and the Tofu Matar (curry sauce) was also delicious!

Very tasty dishes, the pakoras are nowhere as good as here and the staff is always very friendly. I know many Indian restaurants in the Munich area. Also some vegan dishes, for example with tofu, which is really great! Absolute favorite Indian. Big minus point: takeaway meals still use aluminum trays, which are very bad for the environment. Please also switch to Rebowl (like a pizzeria in Penzberg) or at least disposable paper dishes. Then I would give it 5 stars.

We come to Shiva Restaurant almost every week – the food is simply unbeatable! Authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. The chai is the best I've ever had. The staff are incredibly welcoming and make every visit special – you feel right at home. Always a highlight – highly recommended!

One of the best Indian restaurants on the outskirts of Munich, must try. The taste was really authentic and Indian spicy. The owner and the staff were very friendly and offered us chai and gulab jamun which tasted really good and highly recommended.

Great Indian Restaurant! The Shiva in Penzberg is always worth a visit. The food is delicious, fresh and aromatic, you can taste the attention to detail. The staff is very friendly, attentive and particularly warm when dealing with children, which makes the visit particularly pleasant for families. We would definitely like to come back!

We went to this place on our way back home after a hike. I am someone who doesn’t easily appreciate food at Indian restaurants but at Shivas, it was extremely tasty and authentic. The hospitality and guest friendliness were at a different level. We wouldn’t be able to visit this place often as it is far away from our place but whenever we are in this area we will surely make a trip to without fail.

By far the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to on the European continent... had a 6-piece dhali menu and the final mango cream was like something from another planet. Insanely good!

I have never eaten as well as I did in this restaurant! The food was freshly prepared, well seasoned and tasted very authentic. The palak paneer and naan are particularly recommended. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit!

Amazing restaurant! The place is great, the staff are super professional and friendly, and of course, the food is wonderful (we had the palak paneer, duck mango and naan). The only "problem" is that there is so much variety that it was hard to choose just one dish. Absolutely recommended and I hope to go back there again!

We went from Munich to Penzberg to have a nice iftar meal during Ramadan and it was definitely worth it! It is a wonderful place with a warm and friendly atmosphere, offering the best flavors of Indian cuisine. Don't forget to stop by the Penzberg Mosque while you're there!

Very nice atmosphere with around 50 seats, you should reserve in advance. The service and the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The food was incredibly tasty and the portions were large enough. We are really excited about Shiva.

We came as 3 people without a reservation and they immediately arranged a table for us. Laddi was the waiter for our table and it is obvious that he loves his job. The food is very tasty and filling.

This is by far the best Indian far and wide! Everything just fits here and that's exactly how you imagine eating in a restaurant with Indian food. From the atmosphere to the service, everything is first class. Then the food, just WOW!!! My Indian favorite is Chilli Chicken and that's exactly what you get here. The other dishes are also great!! Clear recommendation if you love Indian.

Was spontaneously here recently after the swimming pool with my daughter. It was the best Indian food I've had here in Germany so far! Top. Only the last small table in the hallway that we managed to get was a bit restless, hence a small deduction in the ambience. 😊🙏🏻 Will come again!

We happened to stop at this restaurant on the way from Austria without making a table reservation. We were thrilled as soon as we entered the restaurant. The restaurant was completely full, but we weren't turned away, we were greeted very friendly and given a drink right at the counter. After less than five minutes we got a table. The service was extremely attentive and friendly, and the food was simply excellent. In addition, the price-performance ratio is unbeatable. Full and extremely satisfied, we continued our journey with the firm intention of returning to this restaurant at the next opportunity. Many thanks to Goldi and his colleagues!
