Italia Antica in Penzberg

A great, rustic, authentic Italian restaurant. We'll be back; you can't go wrong here!

The interior is cozy, the beer garden is classic. Service was good, even if it sometimes took a while. Any questions were answered promptly and competently. The food was good: the pizza was a decent size, although the fish, without any side dish other than salad, was a bit undersized. The free bread was also good and went perfectly with the appetizer.

The two of us were there for lunch without a reservation and were in luck – the restaurant was a recommendation from WeinGut Penzberg, which was REALLY worth it, although it's quite far from Penzberg. A rustic ambiance, just as you (as a German?) might imagine a smaller, non-touristy Italian restaurant. We were escorted to a lovely table. Lunch: cloth napkins! We had oyster mushrooms (a portion too small for my wife, perhaps just an appetizer?) and I, "of course," had the pork medallions in lemon sauce. Service was attentive but not intrusive. The doppio espresso was hot and aromatic, and limoncello was on the house. Everything was really good! Unfortunately, no wine; I had to drive. We'll definitely be back. Great atmosphere, great service, great food! (And at lunchtime, too!)

The gluten-free pizza is very good (within reason). The ambiance and service are great.

Delicious and affordable Italian restaurant! The prices are still good here. The service was very prompt, and the food was ready incredibly quickly (about 5 minutes). The ambiance outside, with its beer garden and terrace in front of the entrance, was quite nice. The interior was rather old-fashioned, but classic Italian. In our case, the pizza bread was excellent and the calzone was also good, but more tomato sauce and fewer mushrooms would have improved the whole thing, as it came across as a bit watery and bland. The pasta and dessert looked very good at other restaurants. Parking is a bit difficult when it's busy, but you can always find something, like on a side street.

I love this Italian restaurant! We go there 3-4 times a month. Fair prices and a rustic atmosphere, just the kind I like in an Italian restaurant. Top-notch pasta and pizza! You should definitely make a reservation during the colder months. In the summer, they have a terrace and a garden, so it's a bit more relaxed in terms of space.

Very friendly and the pizza was delicious. We ordered four fromaggi and a regina. For dessert, we had pistachio tiramisu and panna cotta. Plus, they were all Italian, just like home 👏

We had the best Pizza Regina we have ever eaten with a very good salad. It had everything you can get now in salad. The staff was very friendly and attentive, simply top.

Rustic Italian with delicious food. Service is top. There are small alcoves for eating, really cozy. I gave the food 4 stars because some of the pizzas were a bit black but still tasted good. I think it's a matter of taste and therefore shouldn't be derogatory. We would come back at any time 👍.

Schöne Location mit leckerem Essen und gutem Service. Wir hatten Antipasto Misto, Calamari Grilia, Schwerfisch und Rigatoni Bolognese. Das Pizza Pane dazu kam etwas später. Egal. Dazu Lugana und Chianti Classico.

Our new discovery. We were all completely satisfied, it was very tasty and the service was very nice and courteous. Reservations in advance are highly recommended. We will be happy to come back.

Ordered a table. Limited in time. Check-in like in the train station with quick payment, others wait in front of the door. Tables so narrow that not even service can get through. You have to pick up and place drinks yourself. Order taken incorrectly. Toilet paper is almost impossible as there is no space for other guests to get past. Impossible and not worth visiting.

One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. In Penzberg, in the heart of Bavaria, a wonderful restaurant with a lovely team and delicious dishes. You can go there with your eyes closed. Reservations essential, it’s always full.

I go there regularly with my friends. The best Italian ever. Food, staff and service great. I always look forward to it.

We waited for a long time. For a snack there were bruschetta, overcooked bread, I injured my gums, and my two-year-old son could not eat at all. The fish plate was tasty, but it came with fried vegetables, potatoes and broccoli. It was written vegetables (usually eggplant, zucchini, peppers, mushrooms). It took a long time for dessert to be served. It was no longer easy to wait with a child. The prices are quite high. We sat near the kitchen, it was hot and stuffy. There is not enough air conditioning. But overall it was not bad.

Tuna pizza to take away for €12!!!! Uncut, lukewarm, moderate amount of tuna under a large amount of onions, bottom rubbery. Maybe the chef had a bad day and I was unlucky. Actually, I didn't want to write anything and just didn't want to come back.

As always, it's packed and there's no chance without a reservation. But by far the best pizzeria and restaurant for Italian dishes, whether fish, meat or pasta. We don't go anywhere else for pizza since we live within easy reach again.

The food at Italia Antica is always delicious, and definitely the best pizza you can get in the nearby Penzberg area! The service is very friendly and the restaurant is also very nicely decorated. Unfortunately, the waiting times are really bad, when you go out to eat on site you can easily wait over an hour for your food, and when it's delivered you're told you can pick up the food after 30 minutes, but then you're stuck again 30 minutes in the entrance of the restaurant and waits. Despite the unpleasant waiting times, still one of the best restaurants and highly recommended.

There were four of us there. Had an appetizer platter for everyone which was delicious. All 4 were thrilled, as was the pizzas we ordered. Service was quick and nice. We will be back.

We ordered food for two people and received the dishes separately. A no go if you go out to eat together. The pizza was lukewarm and the tagliatta was poor compared to our last vacation in Italy. The restaurant is always full, but that's incomprehensible to us personally. EV. Did we have the wrong dishes, who knows? The restaurant is not our case. Parking spaces are available free of charge in front of the house, but are limited.

We came here based on a recommendation. Luckily we reserved a spot because the restaurant was already full at 6 p.m. The food, fresh and delicious. The mussels were particularly bad and the monkfish was sublimely good.

Highly recommended! We had no reservations and they were so busy however they managed to set us a table. First time eating here. Pizza was very delicious, thin, well-baked, tasty and spicy as intended (Diavolo). PannaCotta was so delicious! Restaurant is cosy and makes you feel in Italy:) Waiters were so friendly.

The lasagne was very puny and not well baked, it's better to order pizza, you can do that there.

Well, what can you say? Full every day of the week, service and food perfect... You have to travel far to be able to eat more relaxed and better Italian food. In the midst of the hustle and bustle, I was served shrimp and scallops... and you couldn't get them any better. Visiting lovely people!

Best Spaghetti Frutti di Mare ever!

Wir waren zu 8 dort und haben dort nicht nur sehr gut gegessen, sondern auch richtig Spaß gehabt. Entweder wir haben die gute Laune verteilt, oder die Leute dort sind immer gut drauf. Wir werden da nochmal hinfahren und das überprüfen. ;-)

Einfach perfekt, hier fühlt man sich einfach immer willkommen. Alle sind nett und herzlich. Das Essen schmeckt immer super. Egal was ich bisher bestellt hatte es war immer gut.

In der Vergangenheit hatte ich keine gute Erfahrung hier gemacht. Aber jetzt muss ich meine Bewertung mal neu aufsetzen: Wir waren letzten Sommer mit den Rädern hier und saßen im Biergarten. Uns wurde sofort ein freier Tisch angeboten. Die Tische standen nicht zu beengt und das Ambiente war wunderschön, an diesem lauen Sommerabend. Die Kellner waren sehr zuvorkommend und die Reservierung ging sehr schnell. Ebenso wurde uns die Getränke, sowie die Pizzen sehr schnell gereicht. Die Pizzen waren Preis-Leistungsmäßig top und haben ziemlich lecker geschmeckt. Gut, dass wir diesem Restaurant noch eine zweite Chance gegeben haben. So, wie diesemal, soll es gern weiterhin bleiben. alte Bewertung: An dem Platz den wir hatten roch es muffig. Das Rinderfilet war für den hohen Preis ziemlich klein und die Kartoffeln haben aufgewärmt geschmeckt. Es wurde von der Bedienung nicht gefragt, wie das Filet gebraten werden soll. Somit war es mir zu blutig. Pizza war wohl für den Preis ganz okay.

Sehr guter Italiener, kann ich nur weiterempfehlen. Die Trüffelpizza war absolut phänomenal! Auch meine Familie war sehr zufrieden mit ihren Pizzen. Die Pizzen gibt es nur in Einheitsgröße, sind aber deffinitiv ausreichend von der Menge.

Die Beste ! Pizza die ich je gegessen hab ....sagte mein Sohn und Er als, Teenie Pizza Gourmet, weißt es . Die Pizzas sind wirklich Erstklassig. Der Käse auf der Pizza hatte einen besonderen guten Geschmack. Der Boden ist perfekt, dünn, knusprig aber nicht trocken. Selbst die Salami auf der Pizza, hat vorzüglich geschmeckt. Alles im Ganzen Erstklassig. Ziemlich unscheinbares Restaurant am Straßenrand. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und überaus freundlich. Die Kelner sympathisch und höflich, erlebt man heutzutage eher selten. Zur der Rechnung gab es ein Gläschen Likör für die Erwachsenen und für den Teenie eine Süßigkeit. Ein Erstklassiger Service.

Seit Jahrzehnten gleichbleibend beste Qualität und Geschmack. Egal ob Standardpizza oder Wochenkarte, alles mit Liebe. Service immer zuvorkommend, freundlich und dem Pizzabäcker zuzusehen einfach ein Vergnügen! Mittlerweile bin ich sicher mehrmals durch fast die ganze Speisekarte

Sind heute spontan vorbei gefahren. Die Pizza Vegetale ohne Käse (vegan) hat hervorragend geschmeckt und war großzügig belegt. Der Ramazotti Rosato war auch köstlich und der kleine Gruß von der Bar ebenso. Wir waren sehr positiv überrascht. Wärmste Empfehlung.

Die Kellner sind auf zack und sehr aufmerksam, das Ambiente im Garten herrlich. Die Antipasti als Vorspeise war hervorragend, leider konnten die Hauptspeisen jedoch nicht ganz überzeugen. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist dennoch topp.
