The food tasted great. The service and friendliness were rather poor. The guest room is small but nice. No card payment possible. No cell phone reception. If you order bread and rice, it will be charged. The first serving for 2 won't fill you up.

Very polite Indian host. We were well advised, we had Indian food for the first time today. A quiet place for our little dog wasn't a problem either. Food and price/performance extremely good.

The food is always great here! Authentic Indian food at a fair price. Depending on who is there, the service leaves something to be desired. Sometimes it takes forever to get noticed. The tablecloths are mostly dirty.

We were there twice on a Saturday evening and made reservations in advance by phone. One time it was very crowded and the other time it wasn't. A reservation is still recommended because the restaurant is great. As a starter we chose the papadam bread. Highly recommended, especially the three dips. Be careful: the green one is spicy! The bread was super crispy and the dips were very tasty. Definitely worth recommending for the price and as a starter. So for the main course we decided on curry. Once Butter Chicken and once Chicken Madras. In both cases the chicken was super tender and very well seasoned. Both dishes come with naan bread and rice. We will definitely come back!

It was our first time eating Indian food and we loved it. The service is very friendly and gave us wonderful advice. The ambience is as I imagined it. A visit here is definitely recommended and almost a duty. Thank you for the lovely evening! Went there for the second time today and are still thrilled, it's a shame that we have to travel over 200 km.

Super friendly staff. We didn't have to wait long. The food was very tasty and sufficient.

Service friendly. Food itself tasted really good. The crowd itself was very manageable. I had the number 99. 2 pieces of chicken, 2 shrimps 2 pieces of lamb. If we then ordered the Indian bread, we were charged extra. Unfortunately you didn't get full. We took the menu with us about 5 weeks ago. Now price increase of approx. 15%.

The food here is really delicious. My favorite is number 58 🫶🏻 The location is very quiet and pleasant. Beautiful decoration, great feeling. The service is totally friendly and accommodating. I always enjoy eating here and can absolutely recommend it.

Absolute madness! The best Indian restaurant in the area. Very friendly service and the food really blows your mind.

The food is great. I recommend dining on site. The service sometimes needs to be reminded of its duties and the cleanliness is more like a snack bar. But you come to eat and it's really good. Addendum: The store has already been closed for hygiene reasons. Just for info.

We ate there on 7/14/22. The service was very friendly, the decoration outside on the right side was very nice and inviting, the food came quickly and tasted very good and I tolerated the food really well despite having various food intolerances. It was enough to take something else with you. It was a successful evening. The only negative point: The menu outside and the flyer no longer show the current prices, but there is also no indication of "outdated prices" on it, which is a bit misleading. The 11 euro dish now costs 14.99 euros, the one for 14.40 euros now costs 18.99 euros.

Delicious food, fast service. Any time

There is a price difference of over 13 euros between the posted menu and Lieferando and then you get a completely different price when you pick it up. Unfortunately, the proportion of meat or vegetables in each dish was very low, so that it consisted predominantly of sauce. At least it was good. A pity! ☹️

I couldn't tolerate the food. The facility was super dusty and the staff had no idea about service

My wife had dinner there with her friend on Wednesday evening May 8th, 2024. Both ate different dishes there. After eating, they both felt sick and vomited in the city. When you talk to the boss, it can't be the food. That was the last visit. I also just saw that they weren't alone in this situation. (see recessions)

The food and service were very good. Very small restaurant, overloaded with Indian wall decorations, cool. Gladly again.

The food was quite good. The restaurant was empty at the time I ordered, so we only waited 15 minutes for the food. The waitress walked around wearing a jacket and didn't speak any German. Very inappropriate and made you feel unwelcome. The ambience was simple, typically Indian, but more of a snack bar level. Good thing the food was at least good 👍🏻

Nice Indian restaurant, with traditional decor. The food was quite good. Not that much in terms of quantity, but you got enough. I had the number 90, which tasted good, but didn't look that appetizing. Could be more beautifully presented. I ordered a white wine, unfortunately the glass was dirty and someone else's lipstick was still on it 😞. The waiters were all nice and accommodating.

Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired, they couldn't even tell us exactly what combinations we had on our plate, and it was so tight that we were actually sharing a table with our neighbors Table could have eaten. Unfortunately, there was also a fragrance mister behind us that smelled so extremely pungent that it was very unpleasant. Communication was very difficult because one of the cellars didn't speak German or acted as if he didn't understand it. Too bad, the food was fine!

Great Indian restaurant with good food

I had reserved a table for 6 people in advance by phone for 6 p.m. Food came quite quickly and was good again, like the other two times. When we wanted to reorder drinks, the waitress said that this was not possible. The table would now be reserved again. We thought this was a joke. But no, we actually had to leave the restaurant at 7 p.m., after only 1 hour (!!!). I couldn't even finish my drink because the following guests were already waiting at the table. The waitress said that it was like that on Fridays and Saturdays and that in the summer there would be more space outside so you could stay longer. This was not mentioned on the phone or upon arrival. I'm really at a loss for words about so much cheek! It's a shame, that's how you drive away guests - including me!

Food itself delicious. Unfortunately sometimes only lukewarm. If it says spicy on the menu, they mean spicy. Unfortunately, the waiter spoke very little German, so you had to order in English. It wasn't a problem but it was a bit strange. The restaurant seems a bit neglected (Christmas table runner at the end of February, coffee stains on the tablecloth, front door that doesn't close). If you like Indian food you will still be happy here.

You have to be careful with the bill because the prices listed there sometimes don't match those on the menu. The naan bread is on the menu at 3.50 euros. We each ordered one with garlic and one with chili and were later charged 5 euros each. Unfortunately, we didn't notice it until we got home when we took a closer look at the bill. They forgot to charge for a cola. Compensatory justice ;) The menu also states that all dishes are served with rice and naan bread. However, we only got the rice but no additional bread. Overall, the food was ok, but it could have been better. The salmon wasn't cooked properly and therefore way too flabby.

Great Indian cuisine! Large selection of great dishes. Finally a restaurant where vegetarians and vegans have a large selection. The spices in the curry are very delicately selected and the spiciness is absolutely bearable. I can only recommend this location.

I didn't know it was a fast food place. You have to hurry before you are asked to leave. We had reserved a table for 6 p.m., the food came pretty quickly and was also very tasty. Our drinks were still half full and we were thinking about ordering dessert when the waiter came to our table at 7 p.m. and asked us to leave because the next guests were already waiting for the table. I have never experienced anything like it. I was there for the last time.

We eat here a few times a year, but unfortunately I don't really like going anymore. The quality has deteriorated significantly and it feels like it's getting worse every time. One of the highlights so far has been the naan. It is now no longer available to order. Instead of a fluffy dough flatbread, you get a wafer-thin wafer. Dry and cold. The 3 dips for the starter were also canceled, it's a shame, they would have been very useful with the dry bread chip. The other dishes were ok, but nothing more. The fine seasoning from before is no longer available, hot? is hot as hell, sweet? leads to sugar shock, garlic? Vampires beware. At least the meat was buttery soft as usual and the dishes came out quite quickly. In the end you can only pay the bill in full with a card. Partial payment only in cash, we are Germans and we pay separately.

We were a big group of people. The service was good. My food (vegetarian okra and chickpeas) was very tasty, but The portions were too small. No normal person will ever be slightly full from these small portions. I’m shocked how an Indian place could have the audacity to serve such small portions - it’s absolutely contrary to their culture and hospitality. I’m a girl with a normal sense of hunger and would have needed double the portion for it to be justified. Also, one person ordered vegetables and it was clear that frozen vegetables were used and cooked. One person in our group ordered 2 dishes and was satisfied with the quantity and ate both dishes. In short - delicious if it’s not the vegetables, as those are frozen but portions are nowhere near sufficient per person.

Waren 2021 oder 2022 dort und sehr zufrieden.

Geschmacklich ist das Essen in Ordnung, wobei es entweder scharf bzw. würzig oder sahnig schmeckt, egal was man isst. Ist also nichts besonderes und dafür finde ich den Preis mancher Gerichte zu hoch. Im Lamm Korma hatten wir nur ein paar Stückchen Fleisch in einer Sahnecurrysosse. Für 17€ erwarte ich da mehr.

Update 11/23: leider muss ich meine Bewertung deutlich nach unten korrigieren. Die Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig (Tische werden z. B. nicht abgewischt). Der Außenbereich wirkt ungepflegt und teilweise sind die Stühle kaputt. Auch die Portionsgröße wurde deutlich reduziert bei erhöhten Preisen. Geschmacklich ist es immer noch in Ordnung. Leider kann ich aktuell insgesamt aber keine Empfehlung mehr aussprechen. Schade... Sehr leckeres Essen. Die Preise sind absolut human und angemessen. Service schnell und freundlich. Einzige kleine Kritik: es ist etwas beengt, da das Restaurant sehr klein ist. Wir werden auf jeden Fall nochmal hingehen.

Um 18.57 Uhr kam ein entnervter Kellner an unseren Tisch mit den Worten: Sie müssen um 19.00 Uhr weg sein. Das hätte man vielleicht von vorneherein mal erwähnen können. Genauso auch dass keine Kartenzahlung akzeptiert wird....

Nettes, kleines, sehr rustikales, indisches Restaurant. Nicht viel Platz aber nett eingerichtet. Das, was ich gegessen hatte, war allerdings seeehr lecker. Lamm und curry mit Brot. Das Lammfleisch war sehr zart. Find ich wichtig. Zwei Seiten auf der Karte nur vegetarisch. Sehr große Auswahl auf der Karte. Preise sind gut, so zwischen 12 - 19€. Besser vorbestellen, wegen wenig Platz. Parkplätze sind Mangelware. Man muss schon etwas laufen

Ich verstehe Katjas Aussage nicht. Das Essen ist super und mein Gott lass den armen Mann sprechen was er will ist doch lustig. Das Essen ist der Hammer und authentisch waren gestern da und gehen heute wieder dort essen.

Sehr sehr leckeres Essen, geschmacklich mal was anderes. Der Service war sehr freundlich, nur das Lokal ist halt etwas klein, deshalb nur 4 Sterne hier. Ich kann jedem Fan der indisch/asiatischen Küche nur empfehlen hier mal hin zu gehen. Ich war nicht zum letzten Mal dort. 👍

Sehr leckeres Essen. Sehr große Speisekarte. Unsere zwei Essen waren sehr gut und reichlich.

Wir essen sehr gerne und oft indisch. Anfangs fanden wir das Essen, sowie Service und Sauberkeit in Ordnung. Nun war ich letzte Woche wieder einmal dort. Das Lassie war schlecht, die Bedienung konnte weder Deutsch , noch Verstand Sie, bzw. Er einfaches Englisch. Zudem sah man das er vorher mit hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit noch nie im Service gearbeitet hat. Zudem sind Preis/Leistung gür mich nicht mehr vereinbar. Leider hat hier ein anfangs gutes Niveau sehr schnell nachgelassen. Wir werden so schnell nicht mehr dort essen gehen.

Ambiente und Einrichtung sind ganz nett. Es mangelt aber etwas an Sauberkeit, insbesondere auf der Toilette. Wir hatten ein vegetarisches Gericht und eins mit Hähnchen. Geschmacklich okay, aber im ganzen etwas lasch. Da hätte gern mehr Gewürz dran gekonnt und vor allem etwas Salz. Das fehlte auch am Reis und am Brot. Das "frische Gemüse" im vegetarischen Gericht war TK und so schmeckte das dann halt auch... Service war kaum vorhanden. Der junge Mann war zwar sehr nett, aber unaufmerksam. Wir wollten eigentlich noch ein Dessert und noch etwas trinken, als er sich aber gut 15 Minuten lang nicht blicken ließ, sind wir rein gegangen, um zu bezahlen. Da saß er dann mit Handy hinter der Theke. Wenn wir mal wieder in Herborn sind, gehen wir lieber woanders hin.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service freundlich, die Preise okay und der Mango Lassi besonders erfrischend.

Sehr lecker aber nichts für ein schwachen Magen, freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Seit Eröffnung habe ich das Gefühl das die Portionen immer kleiner geworden sind. Mittlerweile wird man nicht mal mehr richtig satt. Die Preise sind dafür sehr stark angezogen, wenn man den alten Flyer mit dem neuen vergleicht. Geschmacklich finde ich das das Essen sehr lecker!

Hatte, wegen der guten Rezensionen, relativ hohe Erwartungen, die nicht ganz erfüllt wurden. Essem war OK, meines Erachtens aber sehr eintönig. Bedienung war freundlich und auf Zack. Preis / Leistung passt aber nicht so recht. 2,5 Sterne

Sehr leckeres Essen und sehr nettes Personal

Wir waren auf der Durchreise und sind durch die positiven Rezessionen hier gelandet. Ambiente ist ziemlich kitschig, fast schon überladen - aber alles im „passenden“ Stil. Es gab abends (19 Uhr) noch recht viele freie Plätze, eine Reservierung war nicht notwendig. Auswahl der Speisekarte war üppig, die Preise (vegetarische Gerichte) lagen bei 14€. Es gab leider keine „Vorspeise“ aufs Haus, wir sind des Öfteren bei Indern und meistes werden verschiedene Dips vor dem Essen serviert. Das haben wir vermisst, dafür gab es 1 Naan Brot und Reis für uns beide zum Essen dazu (auch laut Karte). Eistee Pfirsich (hausgemacht) war in Ordnung - waren uns aber nicht sicher ob er 100% hausgemacht war, der Geschmack hat stark an fertigen erinnert. Die Portion vom Essen war für den Preis zu wenig, erinnerte eher an einen Mittagstisch. Von einem indischen Restaurant in der Preisklasse erwarten wir frisches Gemüse - leider wurden wir enttäuscht, es war offensichtlich Tiefkühlgemüse. Dies wurde uns vom Service bestätigt, dieser war aber stets freundlich. Und dann auch noch wenig davon. Das Essen kam extrem schnell, welches dem „frisch zubereitet“ nicht entsprechen würde. Eins von zwei Gerichten hat auch nicht wirklich dem entsprochen was auf der Karte stand, keine Nüsse oder Rosinen, Früchte waren zu finden. Nummer 44. Hier wurde das Tiefkühlgemüse verwendet. Das andere war geschmacklich gut aber leider auch zu wenig. Ingesamt im Vergleich zu anderen uns bekannten indischen Restaurants leider enttäuschend.
