Indian Dhaba Mitra in Berlin

I've been happy to come by since 2012. The food is great and everything is freshly prepared here. I notice it because I'm allergic to flavor enhancers and everything is always fine here. Price performance matches in any case.

Friendly service, starters OK - unfortunately the main courses were subpar. Chicken undercooked, paneer falling apart - and everything almost tasteless. Running out of spices? In any case, the mystery has been solved as to why the store is always empty, even when people are queuing to the right and left of it.

Great value for money and professional, friendly service. The vegetarian thali is plentiful and of good quality.

Simple and inconspicuous, close to Hermannplatz and Hasenheide Park, on top of that with friendly, friendly and attentive service. The prices are still sensationally cheap and the food is delicious. I even like vegan and vegetarian too. Warning: It's damn hot when you get your food on the table. And this Indian is more like the London versions. If you are sensitive to spiciness, you should choose mild and slightly spicy. Medium hot heats up well. Little tip: I love the chickpeas in a spicy sauce.

Durch Zufall entdeckt und noch letzten Platz bekommen. Mit schönem Ausblick zur Straße. Freundliche Kellner. Extra Wünsche kein Problem. Heißer Tee 🫖 mit Minze und Honig 🍯 zum aufwärmen und Essen 🍱 perfekt. Essen super 😋 dazu heiß und gut gewürzt. Interessantes Publikum. Einrichtung in die Jahre gekommen. Aber für schnelles und leckeres Essen sehr zu empfehlen 😊

Ich habe so ziemlich alle indischen Restaurants in der Gegend ausprobiert und nur das Beste und Schlechteste bewertet. Überall liess sich noch etwas Positives sagen; hier leider nicht, bis dahin, dass der Kellner am Ende noch die Sachen berechnen wollte, die wir als falsche Bestellung zurückgehen hatten lassen.

Die Rezensionen hier und die Antworten dieser Imbissbude passen genau zu meinen Erfahrungen vor Ort: Arrogantes Personal, schlechtes und teures Essen und anstatt einer Entschuldigung bekommt der Gast Rechtfertigungen und dumme Ausreden - wie im Restaurant, so auch hier...

Ein Besuch lohnt sich absolut. Service, Ambiente und Speisen sind phantastisch. Die Mulligatawny ist ein Traum in Suppenform (unbedingt probieren)! 💓

This place has a cosy ambience with good options of food in vegetarian and meat. The quality of some of the dishes were not so great again the Mutton Rogan Josh turned out to be excellent. Had a nice experience altogether.

Several clearly labelled vegan options - we had the lentil soup (3.90€), tofu broccoli dish (9.90€) and mixed vegetable curry (10.50€), all of which tasted delicious. The server was really friendly and knowledgeable about what’s vegan and what isn’t. Cozy atmosphere with large stick candles on every table.

Listen to the positive reviews, ignore the haters. This place is wonderful. I had lamb vindaloo and a chai tea with honey. Absolutely made my night. The staff is also very kind and wonderful. They also got the level of spiciness just right. Although, I do like spicy food.

Ich gehe manchmal mehrmals die Woche mit Freunden zum Mittagstisch dorthin und liiiebe das Essen. Ich bin Vegetarierin und kann daher alle vegetarischen Gerichte empfehlen. Wann immer ich Besucher*innen in Berlin habe, gehe ich auch mit ihnen dort hin. Meine Mutter war ebenfalls begeistert - sie hatte das Lamm Curry- und ein Freund das Chicken Champignons Curry, was er auch super lecker fand. Tatsächlich waren alle bisher immer genauso glücklich, wie ich, wenn wir dort gegessen haben. Ich mag auch den Service sehr gern. Alle sind dort sehr zuvorkommend und darauf bedacht, dass man eine gute Zeit dort verlebt. Mir wurden auch schon "Sonderwünsche" erfüllt, worüber ich mich sehr gefreut habe. Find es schön, dass es ein Familienbetrieb ist. Und die Köche sind auch super freundlich :) Ja, ist mein Lieblingsinder!!!

Tasty Butter chicken that included also Bhatura and small salad in addition to rice. Generous portion. Mango Lassi was sweet and thick. Chicken soup was average. Kind service. Reasonable price level. Outdoors seating available. This was my second visit, and the experience was the same.

Das Essen und der Service waren prima. Der Innenbereich ist gemütlich, die Terrasse leider nicht. Zur kühleren Jahreszeit kommen wir gerne wieder.

Der Kellner war freundlich und recht bemüht.... aber wenn bei drei von vier Gerichten das Huhn nicht gar ist, sollte er nicht den Vorschlag machen, dass es ZART sei... Mehr Ideen hatte er dazu nicht. Geschmack sonst mässig, überbewertet und die Preise im Verhältnis zur Qualität überhöht. Sorry Leute, einen einzigen Versuch war es wert.

Me encantó la experiencia en términos humanos y la amabilidad del personal, el carisma, los olores y la simpatía con que me trataron, los sabores eran muy buenos el motivo por el que puse 4 es porqué el pollo está un poquito pero solo un poquito crudo y eso les puede pasar a todos así que creo que les daré otra oportunidad y evaluaré mi opinión nuevamente.

Das Restaurant ist ok. Es liegt in der Nähe vom Hermannplatz. Das Gericht mit Spinat schmeckte nicht ganz so, wie ich es mir vorgestellt hatte, wird ja aber bei jedem Inder ein bisschen anders gemacht. Ich finde, die Soße hätte ein bisschen flüssiger und das Essen ein bisschen schärfer sein können.

Nachdem ich schon in sehr vielen indische Restaurants gegessen habe, finde ich das Restaurant Indian Dhaba Mitra mit Abstand das beste indische Essen, welches ich je gegessen habe. Danke für den schönen, unkomplizierten Abend. Schade, dass Berlin und Regensburg 508 km trennt. Ich komme gerne wieder 🥰

Probably a good restro for non Indians but if u an Indian person then disappointment will be there. First what they did good: - Ambience: 5/5 - menu options - 4/5 (but sadly when menu is having many Indian cuisine options then they are probably messing up due to lack of expertise of the chef, for a small restro) What was ok: - we ordered chole bhature and I was totally fine with the serving size, quality. Bhature were good. Choley okish / not spicy despite saying spicy. But still fine for me because they were more of home style and I personally like that. Where they messed up: - Service: 0/5 We waited 30 mins for chole bhaturey on a Sunday 6pm which was not a peak hour. What hurt was they got a 2 course meal for another table who can after us. With bhature which we ordered too. So why didn’t we get it first? Chole bhature came with sauerkraut and when asked for onions like it’s done traditionally then wanted to charge extra. Which makes sense since in a normal situation but I wish they took the initiative to get it for us anyways. But no complaints for that, just lack of authenticity on food platting from there end, followed by pathetic customer service. - special requests - absolutely denied. They have thali and I wanted to not have chole and bhature from the Thali since it was being ordered separately from us. But no, they won’t switch the items to another which are available in there other thali. - but there too honestly I can’t complain much. Just wished again that they attempted a better customer service. Overall: Avoid if u r looking for authentic food. Otherwise fine.

Best panner tikka masala ever I had.

Neue Bewirtschaftung, zwar kein Buffet mehr dafür aber frisches und leckeres Frühstück. Obwohl wir an einem Samstag dort waren, wurde das Frühstück zügig serviert. Personal ist sehr nett, Preis-Leistung Verhältnis stimmt.

Der Laden, die Mitarbeiter, der Chef und das Essen war und ist 1a. Wir waren mit der gesamten Familie da. Viele Kinder. Der Chef war so lieb und hatte viel Geduld. Also wenn man wirklich gut essen gehen möchte dann hier her. Das gute ist, das Vegane und Glutenfreie Essen. Hier wird vieles angeboten. Wir kommen wieder. Familie Yanilmaz

Food was not at all fresh. Aloo chat smelled bad n rancid, bhatura was too thick and chole also smelled rancid . I won't recommend visiting this place and ordering those .

Really nice food and large selection. They ask if you want it spicy! The veggie and Vegan options are clearly labelled and they have things like soya masala and tofu "paneer" palak. The breads are excellent and they have a lunch deal during the week. Very fast service. They accept card and cash. Also they're really friendly and the atmosphere is nice to sit in

Een beetje verstopt tussen andere restaurants, maar zeker de moeite waard. Het personeel is enorm vriendelijk en je merkt dat ze je graag goed eten willen geven! Het eten was echt voortreffelijk, perfecte bereiding van het vlees en een goede combinatie van alle kruiden en ingrediënten.

sehr gemütlich, aufmerksam, freundlich und eine authentische, indische Küche die außerordentlich schmackhaft ist und abwechslungsreich sowie reichhaltig ist. Einzig das knusprige Fladenbrot dessen Name ich immer vergesse war da früher besser. Aber sonst alles top!

Der Service war nett und das Essen lecker. Die rote Linsensuppe war jedoch nicht wie erwartet (hatte eher nach Tomatensuppe aus der Tüte geschmeckt) und es könnte kräftiger gewürzt sein. Insgesamt war es aber lecker und vom Preis vertretbar.

Lækker mad, venligt personale, godt tilbehør. Vi fik butter chicken, hvor der var en masse sovs og kylling og så ris ad libitum. Der var en lille (meget lille) skål salat med og et stykke meget olieret brød

Ordered the Lamb Saag. One if the best Saag dishes I've ever had. Lamb was tender and flavorful. Fresh, hot, delicious. Friendly service. Yum!

Went there for great food, got a judgemental waiter and arrogant service instead...Asked for masala chai and coffee...the waiter instead said he had served the last chai for the day (which is totally senseless)...also our order for appetizers took eternity to arrive. Its understandable that the service would be slow when there are too many people but rude waiters are a real buzzkill.

I just had the most nourishing meal here - an aloo palak and a special they had - curry with chicken and aubergine. So tasty and wholesome. With the setting sun casting its golden light through Kreuzberg! Really recommend.

Good cosy place to hangout with friend and family. We tried the samosa ( although you might not be fully satisfied if you're expecting the Indian version) but it was good in taste and the upper layer was quite crunchy.

Das Indian Dhaba Mitra liegt an einem angeblich sozialen Brennpunkt Berlins, was wir allerdings so nicht bestätigen können. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich und sehr bemüht. Die Speisen schmeckten hervorragend und hatten auch eine entsprechende Qualität. Die Preise sind moderat. Kommen gern wieder.

Ich denke, ist zu gut bewertet. Sorry. An der Hasenheide, links von Karstadt sind etwa 10 gut besuchte Anbieter von leckeren Speisen verschiedener Art und Nationalität. Dieser Inder ist leider zu teuer für die mäßige Qualität und nicht so gut besucht. Das fällt auf. Ich war 2 x dort und eigentlich nicht zufrieden. Tut mir leid. Die vielen 5 Sterne können nicht stimmen. Dafür habe ich bei zu vielen Indern viel besser gegessen. Wer es besser weiß, der soll mir das mit den entsprechenden Argumenten sagen. Kaum Sauce, wenig Geschmack und teilweise Tofu als Chicken-Verlängerung. Mangolassi war aber okey.

Um die Jahreswende 21/21 war es nicht so einfach, auch wegen Covid, ein gutes offenes Restaurant zu finden. Ich habe auf gut Glück das Dhaba Mira probiert und bin sehr angetan wirklich. Der Koch Surenda Thakur ist in der Lage und willens, seine Gerichte an den individuellen Geschmack anzupassen nd berät sehr gut, besonders was die verschiedenen Stufen der Schärfe betrifft (von0-3). Ich habe 3 mal in 3 Tagen dort gegessen, 2 mal Lamm (sehr zart wirklich und garnicht "lammig" und einmal Scampi, die riesig waren und es war immer lecker. Was ich besonders schätze ist auch, daß alle Gerichte flott serviert werden und heiss auf den Tisch kommen Auch der Mai-Tai Cocktail war sehr gut. Das alles zu sehr zivilen Preisen. Ein Glücksfall in der oft zu stark standardisierten und auf den europäischen Durchschnittsgeschmack getrimmten indischen Küche Berlins. Grosses Lob

I frequent this place during lunch time and have always ordered something from the lunch menu. While the portion was utterly generous, the taste satisfying (that is, for a lunch menu), the service quick and the price v. affordable, what kept me coming back (and me nagging my co-workers to eat there instead) was their home-made butter and garlic naan bread. Truly a MUST try. I'll give some more plus points for being strict with checking the proof of vaccination, even before the new 2G+ rule was set in place.
