This was our second visit and it was great again. Great food, nice ambience and above all a very good host who led the evening with a lot of charm. We felt very comfortable because our little daughter was also given a friendly welcome and therefore felt very comfortable.

I honestly don't believe this place is worthy of five stars here or any awards from Michelin (they don't have a star or a Bib anyway in spite of mentioning it on the website). Our experience more than anything was somewhat mediocre. The food was alright, but not mind blowing. The tandoori chicken that was supposedly marinated for 24 hours was dry and tough rather than succulent and juicy. The dal served with it was very nice though. We also enjoyed the drinks and the starters were good. But the real downer was the service. I was never once asked if I wanted another drink and that's during the course of an almost three hour dinner! After we were done with our food, they let all the empty plates sit in front of us for 30 minutes and didn't even ask if we wanted a dessert. Finally we managed to catch the attention of our waitress, and we placed our order. Unfortunately, the desserts were probably the weakest part of our night, not very creative, interesting or tasty. The bill for 7 people was some 580 euros and I felt the value we got for that amount of money does not make it worth it. The experience was not worthy of a fine dining establishment. I don't think I will be coming back.

The service was great and very professional staff. The food was okey, not bad not something amazing, especially if you have tried Indian food in India. The cocktails were nice, the dessert nothing special at all.

This is the most authentic and amazing Indian food I have tasted in Germany! Everything was delicious and the service was great. I had such high expectations and it seems to have cross its boundaries. The drinks we ordered were supreme the mixologist had a great taste and mixing ideas. I was here some time ago. I definitely agree with everyone that the food is super authentic and nice. I don't think I have had such an authentic Indian kebab outside India in a long time. One or two dishes came close but fell slightly short which is why I am only giving 4 stars to the food, but I think overall it's one of the best places I have found outside India. I do think the prices are a bit high, especially for drinks. This makes it a great place to go to celebrate something but unfortunately I can only enjoy it once a year.

It’s literally the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to! The service is top notch!!!!

The restaurant is breathtaking. High mirrored ceiling, dark woods, burnt orange, dusty pinks, rich velvet greens and attentive and polite service. The food was melt in the mouth and perfect portion sizes. Cocktails were perfect. I am a British Indian Asian. It is the best Indian food I have ever had the pleasure of tasting, but please don’t tell my mother!

My third visit in a few months to this establishment was disappointing. The room had been disfigured by the arrangement of large tables of eight and 12 people which really made the atmosphere very noisy. The food is still as famous, but the service leaves a little to be desired due to too many guests at the same time, it seems.

We had a reservation and were told they needed the table in 2 hours. They proceeded to bring the menu and take the order very slowly. We asked about items with no cashews and they were not able to accomodate. We had one item we could order. We made a reservation and then were rushed out by the hostess saying she needed the table and really needed the table. I even tried to cancel dessert to accommodate her but the servers said it was okay and said some sit forever but I told her we have people who need to sleep earlier so that’s not our problem. Overall we reduced our tips due to the lack of accommodation and concern as well as being rushed. My dessert even came out with pistachios on it after clearly indicating needing no nuts from the minute we sat down and multiple times in the ordering process. Bad service experience. Food was good enough but I wouldn’t recommend based on being rushed out after spending 430 euro and not being able to select much. I conveyed feedback to the guy who greeted us behind the bar. There was no waiting line or customers and open tables when we left.

80plus euro takeout for two. ordered 5 different plates i would have assumed you guys would throw in white rice (or at least ask me if I needed some). food was good, but eating 5 indian dishes without any rice was just not great. with better service - 5 stars

My husband took me here for our anniversary. We arrived before 5pm but were welcomed in by the staff early in such a wonderful way. The décor is tasteful, attractive and comfortable. Our waiter was attentive, pleasant and knowledgeable. The cocktails are pricy but as they are creative and delicious, the high prices are worth-it. As we had arrived early, the restaurant was empty which was nice. Then, guests slowly started to arrive. I am from London, and we have fantastic Indian restaurants there and the UK in general, and I must say that this is the best Indian restaurant that I have been to in Germany. The food was delicious and vibrant with multi layered flavours; as Indian food should be, not simply an oily stew with a bit of curry powder thrown in, which is what is usually served up and called curry in Germany. We ordered the lamb chop with mint, the garlic naan bread, the fish curry with sticky rice and the royal blood cocktail, gin and tonic and another couple of cocktails. I have a few qualms though: the restaurant was almost empty, and we wanted to have a bit of privacy and not be at the restaurant when it was ram-packed, which is why we booked a table early. The staff though proceeded to seat a family with a baby right next to us when there were over twelve other tables for them to sit at. I have nothing against young families going out for dinner, however, when a child free couple goes out for an anniversary meal and the entire restaurant is almost empty, I really didn’t appreciate them squeezing us all together. It just did not make sense. That was quite annoying to be honest especially since it was a special anniversary meal, so if they could bear the seating in mind and giving guests a bit more space when the restaurant is not full in future, which would be a welcome improvement. I also did not spot any vegan options on the menu, nor could one by wine by the glass which was a shame. Other than that, the service was impeccable, and the little touches really meant a lot to me like them bringing me a handbag hanger without me even asking for it and a member of staff waiting for us with our coats by the door after we paid our bill.

Worst experience! We came at 22:00 and closed at 23:30. German service my friends…

Das Restaurant liegt auf der Rückseite des Adlon Hotels in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Brandenburger Tor und zum Holocaust-Mahnmal. Das Ambiente des Restaurants ist angenehm. Die hohen Decken vermitteln ein Gefühl der Großzügigkeit und Eleganz. Das Servicepersonal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Ich habe das Restaurant gemeinsam mit einem Freund an einem Mittwochabend im Juni 2024 besucht. Wir haben zunächst einen Aperitif bestellt und anschließend einige Gerichte von der Speisekarte ausgewählt. Das war mehr oder weniger ein Stochern im Nebel, da wir mit den Namen der Gerichte auf der Speisekarte überwiegend nichts anzufangen wussten. Die Erläuterungen des Servicepersonals haben uns nur bedingt weitergeholfen. Die Gerichte, die uns dann serviert wurden, waren durchaus lecker, haben aber letztlich keine Begeisterungsstürme bei uns ausgelöst. Vielleicht ist die indische Küche einfach nicht unser Ding. Die Rechnung belief sich auf 206,- € für zwei Personen. Mit Trinkgeld waren es dann 226,- €. Fazit: Ein Besuch im India Club ist eine interessante kulinarische Erfahrung. Ist man kein Liebhaber der indischen Küche, sollte man die Erwartungen allerdings nicht zu hoch schrauben.

The service was sloppy and embarrassing. The 3-course menu was unfortunately uninspired and was not adapted for food intolerances, even though this was requested 3 days in advance. The price-performance ratio is a complete disaster. To make others ashamed!

Everything was fine. It couldn't be more authentic. This is how I imagine it as a guest. Advised by, probably, the manager, who explains the specialties of Indian cuisine and makes you feel welcome. One of them ordered a dessert and a second set of cutlery was carefully laid out. That's what I call service. The waiter came by every now and then and gave us a drink. Everything went hand in hand and we kept checking from a distance to see whether everything was OK or whether we had any further wishes. This restaurant has its own farm on the Mecklenburg Baltic Sea, where they raise their animals in the highest organic quality. You can't hear anything from outside in the rooms and the volume inside is very pleasant. A highlight if you want to forget the world around you for a moment.

Went to the India Club Berlin for the first time today and had one of the most beautiful restaurant visits of my life. Anyone who enters the India Club will be picked up by the friendly team around Restaurant Manager Denis. He takes care of everything personally with incredible dedication and passion. Every guest spreads an incredible atmosphere and a good mood. And his entire team fits in seamlessly. I hadn't had anything to eat yet and was really excited. Then came the food and what can I say, I have never had a more authentic or better meal here in Germany. What we found particularly great was that you can order everything in the middle of the table and share it with everyone. This is even actively offered and desired. And that’s how I know it from India too. I didn't expect this from a Michelin restaurant. What remained was a fantastic evening with fantastic food. Cocktails that were an experience and service that I have never received before. I have never felt so comfortable. And the interior does its part to round things off. I will always come to you now, thank you for this fantastic evening.

Having been here several times with various friends, I can personally say that the India Club is the best Indian, if not the best restaurant in Berlin that I have visited. From the food to the service, everything is top notch here. 👌 Once you've fallen for Denis's charm, it's too late anyway. If the food and cocktails help your taste buds to blossom again, it's all over anyway. We'd love to come back. Reservations or calling in advance are mandatory.

We went with very high expectation being a michelin star restaurant but unlike the interiors of the restaurant, the food failed to amaze us.

We were able to have dinner in this phenomenal restaurant for the second time. It's an all around successful meal and experience in general! A big compliment goes to the head waiter, who is hard to beat in terms of professionalism and charm, but of course the entire team is undoubtedly convincing. My little nephew, who is very picky, had a special dish prepared according to his wishes and we were welcomed at our table with painting and craft supplies for him... a special children's drink was also brought on the house. Last but not least, I would like to emphasize that you can rarely enjoy such good Indian food (not even in India) and it is absolutely recommended for vegans!

I treated myself to a visit here for my birthday and I have to say: It's a different level when you know a range of Indian restaurants in Berlin! The Maitre D' first gave a great introduction to the concept and products and also recommended the buttered chicken. Class!!! The chicken was amazing. Together with the bread basket, the taste was on a completely different level than I knew from other Indians, incredibly interesting and excitingly seasoned! The service was great, the people at the India Club stand behind their concept and you can see, hear, taste and feel it. I'm looking forward to visiting again sometime, now I'm a little better prepared for truly authentic North Indian cuisine!

Absolutely love India Club! My wife and I stumbled across this place by accident and have since become regular diners. The authenticity and passion of the chefs comes through in every dish. Dishes range from light vegetarian to hearty quintessential Indian fare. Service is excellent. You're greeted by everyone when you walk in the door and made to feel at home. The wait staff are attentive and follow a well curated playbook for service like ensuring that water glasses are full, plates are cleared, and enjoyment is paramount. The atmosphere follows the trend of the food an service; comforting and elevated. White linens, decorative pillows, and comfy chairs make it easy to spend a couple of hours chatting, eating, and enjoying the environment. If you're a fan of cocktails, I highly recommend the India Club Gin - it's a next level cocktail.

This is how I imagine our restaurant experience. Great welcome, great advice and excellent food. We had the Buttered Chicken, Chicken Tikka Highway, a mega starter (made of chickpeas, I forget the name). Plus absolutely sensational Nan. The cocktails were also very good. I can fully recommend the India Club. Just try it out 😊.

(Ir)regular guest at the India Club Berlin. The hospitality of the colleagues is extraordinary. Dennis Oetzl and Christian Mura are particularly outstanding; we always feel very comfortable! It probably makes the food taste even better. We continue to visit (irregularly) and can only recommend the India Club.

A really super authentic Indian restaurant. I can fully recommend it - the staff is simply great, friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the food excellently, every dish was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The ambience is really nicely designed, which contributes to an overall pleasant experience. They don’t know how to cook Indian food at all.. they probably have some cheap labor back in the kitchen who is searching Indian food recipes on YouTube and then messing up the preparation. Every dish had some nasty cream in it and taste of the food was awful. Would never recommend this to anyone who wants authentic Indian food.

3 stars for the food although small portions but the service is really terrible. First, they don’t let you order starters with drinks as if that would cause overflow of orders. Then they didn’t inform us about the time limit while doing the reservation, you are only allowed to sit for 2 hours. We were a big group of 9 team mates.. all of us liked the food but the service and attitude of the staff made the whole experience sour. Will never suggest this restaurant to anyone😅

Service was just bad. Not recommended. At first our drinks didn't come and nobody was interested. After more than 30 minutes, I caught a waiter who was able to ask. They probably weren't in the system. After another 15 minutes we noticed that we didn't have anything to eat yet. And that we had to wait 1 hour for our starter, maybe. Needing new drinks was also an act of desperation. I have rarely been looked after so badly as a guest. Waiters not at all aware of the needs of the guests. I would have expected much more from a restaurant in this price range.

This is a little wonder right in the historical center of Berlin, located in the premises of the famous Adlon hotel. I've recently discovered that it's one of the Michelin guides recommendations for Berlin but am also very happy as I've discovered and felt in love with this place independently from the Michelin labeling. The food is very good made of the ingredients, sustainably purchased and raised for the chickens, for example, and even more if you love the spices. I've put 4 stars though as the last time we've been there we didn't actually like the main dish - lamb chops, that were too dry, too much cooked and the potatoes as a side were also quite deceiving. The entries were very good and the cocktails as well, therefore we'd rather give it another try than put 3 after one dish that we didn't like. The service is excellent and the prices are very reasonable compared to the quality of the service and food. Highly recommend this place if you like the good Indian food!.

Very noble Indian. Service very attentive and trained. Food was very good. Unfortunately there were only a few dishes with sauces. Indian cuisine actually lives from sauces. So the main course was very dry. But food was very flavorful. Dessert also very tasty. But prices for Indian food are very high and the taste is simply not a world away from that of a normal Indian restaurant. But meat quality seems to be better.

A nice restaurant... I would like to say upfront that we are absolutely not fans of Indian food. It just has to do with the style of eating. The restaurant can't do anything about that. The waiter was nice and accommodating, the rest of the staff was really great too. The reception was also very friendly. The food is too spicy for me, but that can't be blamed on the restaurant either. I think the food was ok, but we don't warm to Indian food here either. Hence the 4 stars, personally I would probably give it 1 star, but the food was neither bad nor anything else to complain about. In terms of taste, purely subjectively not our style. So not at all. However, it should be great for fans of Indian food. The location is fine, the music absolutely doesn't match the restaurant or food. It was just bad. We had hoped that with the restaurant we would be inspired by Indian food again. But we have to admit that it will probably never work for us. 😀

Seeing all the other reviews mention the really good service, was expecting the same, but was surprised by how long they left us waiting to take our drinks order while they had already served drinks to people who arrived after us by then. They also forgot an item and had to be reminded. Quite subpar on the service for a place of this profile. As for the food, it was good. Definitely high quality ingredients and authentic Indian flavours. Was expecting the butter chicken to pack a bit more flavour but can't really fault it either. The cocktails were also quite nice.

A really very special Indian restaurant! I've never had Indian food so good. Incredibly delicious food, a harmonious ambience and very attentive, friendly and competent service made the evening something special. The restaurant manager and his team always looked after the guests in a very professional, but still relaxed, I would even say really cool, way. It was just fun and you noticed that it was more than just a job for him. The food was really fantastic and the cocktails were really good too. A visit is absolutely recommended and will certainly not go unrepeated.

The food here is absolutely delicious. A wide variety of dishes for everyone to share and enjoy, great flavors and spice too! And while we were here for the food and company of good friends, given the prices and reviews, we were quite baffled by the service. We were presented with cocktail menus upon arrival but wanted to opt for wine instead and eventually could order a few bottles of wine for the table, but only after "ordering" a wine menu to look at. Once that was ordered we had to "order" the food menus and luckily were told upon ordering that the kitchen closes at 10pm (our reservation was for 845) because after all the waiting to order menus to order wine and food, we were quickly approaching 10. Meanwhile our wine and water glasses were often empty and with the bottles residing on a side table, it wasn't easy for us to just pour ourselves not to mention for the prices and location, you don't expect to need to do self service. We've all lived in Berlin for years and have grown accustomed to varying degrees of service, but this was a place that struck us all as just bizarre and not in a good way. And because one member of our party had been there before and noted it as great food but service left something to be desired we gave it a try. Unfortunately the service issue she experienced wasn't just a one time thing.

INDIA CLUB BERLIN I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent reception on Jan 27, 2024 and consistently friendly, attentive service - in a very atmospheric large room. I felt like an older woman traveling alone, accepted and welcomed. At the individual table I was immediately given the opportunity to hanging my purse on a hook. However, you needed very good eyesight to read the menu: the font is too small and the light is too dark. Food and drinks were excellent.

Beautiful people always with a smile, great atmosphere amazing food and super size / portions. We told them that our son had his birthday and they have prepared a beautifully decorated table and cake for us! Thank you guys for your hospitality and beautiful energy! ❤️

I don't know if it really is the best Indian restaurant on the continent, as they say. But I was very impressed. Starting with a very friendly welcome in the extremely tastefully furnished restaurant, through charming service, continuing with a delicious Negroni as an aperitif, to the dishes, for which we relied on the waiter's recommendations, it was a well-rounded evening. There were four of us and we shared three starters and four main courses. Everything was good, but the Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Highway were amazing! Price-performance ratio is right. I'm going there again.

A very nice restaurant with great Indian dishes. Excellent service, nice ambience with good, but rather expensive, cuisine. To give the food full marks, I just need a little more sophistication. However, in terms of quality, this restaurant is miles away from simple Indian restaurants. The evening was very nice!

Overly priced average Indian food. Food If this restaurant was in India, people would say the food is pretty damn average, however, due to the lack of decent Indian restaurants in Berlin, I guess the quality appears to be better. There are no spice indicators on the menu. Ordered Okra and ended up eating a chilli. Saw chilli in Okra curry for the first time. Starters are decent. The bread basket was amazing. Very authentic. Service The service was amazing. I really loved it. The waiters were very attentive and even got some yogurt from the kitchen to balance the chilli. Atmosphere Very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Good vibes. Price Super high prices for mediocre tasting food.

Very nice restaurant with very courteous service. The food is very good and the menu is varied. The portions are large so that for 4 people you can easily eat three dishes and three side dishes.

You will be warmly welcomed at the entrance. At the table, the concept is calmly explained to you and dishes are recommended. The dishes were very tasty, spicy and beautifully prepared. The portions were not too small and good for sharing. Unfortunately we were forgotten after the main course was served. In order to stay within the two hours available for further orders, we had to draw attention to ourselves very clearly. For me, attentive service is part of it. We were lucky that no one came after us. We were there on a Monday and the restaurant was busy. You can't get in here without a reservation. In summary it was good. I could only have imagined a more exceptional meal for the price.

The welcome was warm as always. We were shown to our table. Then we were given the cocktail menu and chose three nice drinks. Unfortunately we had to wait forever for this. They only came when the starters had already been served. Unfortunately, a starter was missing and we had to wait a long time until a waiter paid us attention again. Our searching looks were simply ignored. The missing appetizer was delivered when the other people at the table were almost finished. We also had to pour ourselves water, even though the bottle wasn't at our table. We would have liked to place more drink orders, but this was not possible due to the absence of the waiter. Only when the main course was served did we have the opportunity to order more drinks. The service has deteriorated a lot. Things were better on our previous visits.

Der Empfang war wie immer herzlich. Wir wurden zu unserem Tisch geführt. Dann bekamen wir die Cocktailkarte und suchten uns drei schöne Drinks aus. Leider mussten wir auf diese ewig lange warten. Die kamen erst als schon die Vorspeisen serviert wurden. Leider fehlte dann auch eine Vorspeise, und wir mussten lange warten, bis ein Kellner uns erneut Aufmerksamkeit schenkte. Unsere suchenden Blicke wurden einfach ignoriert. Die fehlende Vorspeise wurde nachgeliefert, als die anderen Personen am Tisch fast fertig waren. Auch mussten wir uns Wasser selber nachschenken, obwohl die Flasche nicht an unserem Tisch stand. Wir hätten gerne noch weitere Getränkebestellungen aufgegeben, dies war jedoch wegen Abwesenheit des Kellners nicht möglich. Erst als das Hauptgericht serviert wurde, hatten wir die Gelegenheit, noch weitere Getränke zu bestellen. Der Service hat sich sehr verschlechtert. Bei unseren vorherigen Besuchen war es besser.

Spontaneous action, I really wanted to visit the store because of the good reviews. Reception was very nice and polite and was able to quickly organize a table for two people. You are immediately given ONLY a cocktail menu. The cocktails are so well described with ingredients that you actually feel like ordering them, on average they start at €10 for 3 sips. Nice move 😉 Management, hats off. After about 15 minutes of waiting and asking, we received the menu cards. Ordered as normal for 2 people, 1 starter, 2 main courses, 2 drinks and 1 desert. We ignored the prices, it's the experience and overall package that counts. What did we get? 🤣 I am someone who likes to eat Indian food often. What we got is food that is NEVER worth that much. Unfortunately 3x as expensive and the quality is like a local less chic Indian place. Here too, the dishes are described very spectacularly (family recipe.. Oooohaaaa). The quantity is also very modest. You can do it if you have too much money, but if you know what you're doing, you'll know. Staff tries hard, atmosphere cozy. Price performance no reason to come back. Hats off to the concept.

Great service, food and location (not exactly in the Adlon, tough)

Heerlijk eten. Bijzondere en smaakvolle gerechten die mooi opgediend worden. Het eten is de prijs echt waard als je het ervoor over hebt. De bediening was vriendelijk. Er was alleen iets mis gegaan met een van onze hoofdgerechten. De bediening sprak hierover naast onze tafel. Er werd door de ober gezegd dat wij het fout hadden en hij gelijk, dat wij zeker weten het gerecht besteld hadden dat op tafel stond. We vonden het niet netjes dat dit naast ons gezegd werd en wisten ook zeker wat wij besteld hadden. Daarom 1 punt aftrek.

Update 2023: Reserviert, mit Familie, dafür ohne Preisschock ☺ Alles bestätigt. Essen top. Service immer freundlich, immer da und völlig unaufdringlich. Neu (zumindest für mich): Der Negroni. Die Empfehlung des Restaurants und jetzt auch von mir. Vor 5 Jahren: Spontanes kleines Abendessen ohne Reservation. 1. Eindruck, schönes Lokal, stilvoll eingerichtet, dezente Musik ohne in folkloristischen Kitsch abzurutschen. 2. Eindruck, hoppla, günstig ist anders. 3. Mhm lecker. 4. Eindruck perfektes Essen & super Serviceteam Fazit: Jeden Euro wert und beim nächsten Besuch gerne wieder. Danke.

Service and food is exceptional. Every request was well taken care of and the recommendations on the menu were excellent. Will definitely go there again.

Bestes Indisches Restaurant in Berlin. Gehobene, aber angemessene Preise. Nordindisch, also weniger scharf, aber pures Aroma.

We went to India Club to celebrate a Birthday. We ordered a few starters… lamb kababs, spicy potatoes & chole kulche. For main course we got ourselves a bread basket (which includes roti, laccha paratha, & naan) and a garlic naan separately. The dishes we ordered we baingan 🍆 bharta, kadahi paneer and butter chicken 🍗. Finally for dinner we ordered kulfi and sorbet. They also have Old Monk, so we got a couple of Dark&Stormys. Drinks were pretty good.

It is a nice upscale restaurant which I would describe as more of a fusion Indian food! Blend of dishes created with North and South Indian flavors. I’m not honestly sure if I liked all of them hence the 4 stars ✨ overall service and ambience was as expected from an upscale place! Sweet Potato Gunpowder, Daal makhani and Paneer Jalfrezi with Lacchha Paratha in particular were tasty 🤤 Kathal Curry, Chole Starter and Moong Dal Halwa kind of confused my taste palette.

Reservierungen gilt nur für 2 Stunden. Danach muss der Platz für die nächsten Gäste geräumt werden. Es kann nicht sein, dass ich ein gehobenes Menü nicht genießen darf und innerhalb von 2 Std essen muss.

Finally an experience worth paying for. It felt like I was in India. Real authentic Indian food, great taste, impeccable service and classy ambience. A must visit if you really wanna taste some authentic Indian food and not just some substandard tomato sauce/gravy based "so called" Indian food.

This is truly an experience that kind of justified the price associated with it. The dishes were truly lip smacking, considering we were in Berlin and not Bombay. The service was impeccable and the ambience was upscale. The even had custom cutlery. We had a tasting menu (photo added in the review), the prawn koliwada and rara meat where to die for. If I had the money I would eat here every time I'm in Berlin 😀

Fantastic service, great food.. Never disappoints. Disclaimer: I have never been to India so I cannot attest to how authentic the food is. But having tried many restaurants on different continents, I can say this is safely one of the best. The flavors, textures and consistency is great. Each time, it was always great. The only negative was that they seem to have reduced their menu and some favorites were no longer there. On the pricey side, but well worth it. The Aubergine dish was delightful!
