Always a beautiful location, super delicious food and extremely fast service - the food is on the table in no time!

Typically Swabian? Then we've come to the right place! Various sausage salads, which I'm not used to as a Bremen native, were on practically every table. However, I still opted for schnitzel with spaetzle 😅🤷🏻‍♀️ The portions looked very large everywhere, and my meal was also plentiful! Very good value for money! The ambiance was quaint and cozy, with an outdoor terrace offering a great view, but without a reservation, you won't get far at the right time. It's a good thing we had a reservation; we were seated inside, but even then, the atmosphere was very good. The noise level was quite loud when the restaurant was full, but that doesn't bother me too much, as I don't like to speak too quietly myself 😅 The staff were very friendly and immediately apologized if I had to wait an extra two minutes. The food was delicious, the restaurant had a great atmosphere, and the selection of dishes promises that I'll want to come back to try more local specialties! A large free parking lot is available right next to the restaurant 👍🏼

We stumbled upon it by chance and didn't have a reservation. Very friendly and attentive service. It was raining, so we couldn't use the beer garden. Inside, it was almost packed, and everything was reserved. We got two seats at the bar after a few minutes and ate there. The food was delicious. We'd love to come back.

When we arrived, the restaurant was almost completely full. We thought it would take forever to get our food. But we were wrong. The food was served really quickly and was delicious. The service was also extremely friendly. The location may be a bit out of the way, but this proves once again that a good restaurant can be located in the middle of the forest and still be full.

We were here on a Friday evening... The menu offers classics, but also a constantly changing selection. There are hot and cold dishes. From classics like schnitzel and sausage salad to various vegetarian dishes, there's something for everyone. However, if you're looking for "light fare," fries, schnitzel, and hearty delicacies aren't what you're looking for. The only minor disappointment was that the note "without pepper onions" got lost in the kitchen when ordering our son's meal (Maultaschen), and it was too spicy for him. But otherwise, a great restaurant with a special view.

A special recommendation is the surprise platter (Heidewitzga), which you can always recommend if you're really hungry. The service is truly top-notch, very friendly, and pretty quick.

We ordered takeaway food – the food was fresh, delicious, and lovingly prepared. The atmosphere is very inviting and cozy. However, we couldn't have gotten a table on the spot – which probably speaks volumes about the restaurant's popularity. We'd be happy to come back.

Wir haben etwas leckeres zu Essen gesucht, gut bürgerlich. Bisschen weg von den Touris und sind hier fündig geworden. Essen war mega lecker, gute Portionen und absolut angemessene Preise. Die Mädels dort sind voll auf zack und freundlich. Wenn mam das Glück hat draußen einen Platz zu bekommen, bekommt man noch eine gute Aussicht oben drauf. Sind am nächsten Tag direkt nochmal hingefahren. Immer wieder gern.

The restaurant is idyllically situated between forests and meadows with a beautiful view of Lake Constance. The atmosphere is very cozy, and there's a large outdoor terrace. Reservations are highly recommended; it was packed during our visit. The staff is unfortunately understaffed, but they do their best and are super friendly. The food was delicious, the portions are extremely generous, and you'll easily feel full. The value for money is unbeatable; something you rarely find these days.

We were really happy that we got a table in the hut on Saturday - it wasn't that easy with nine people! All the better that it worked, because the ambience, the service and, above all, the food are simply amazing – worth every star! You have to try the “Heidezitzka” menu, it’s really delicious! And you definitely shouldn't forget the sea cider - it's worth it!

Great restaurant where you should definitely reserve a few days in advance. We were there yesterday around 5 p.m. and had a nice spot outside. There were four of us and we all ordered and received a delicious meal. In the end the bill wasn’t very high either 😀. The service staff were very friendly and attentive. Absolute recommendation 👍

If you want to experience local Schwäbisch cuisine of the highest standard, served by friendliest & attentive staff in a vibrant atmosphere this is “THE” place. The deep in fruit farming countryside setting adds to the flavour. Local knowledge was needed to find it. But you can see why locals might want to keep it a secret. Of course they have a large selection of locally sourced beers ( n’ Halbe bitte ) & wines. “Jetz ischs Hai hônda!”😑😁✌️🇩🇪🇮🇪

A bit noisy because it's a big room

If you want a hearty meal, then this is the place for you. Large portions, delicious food. Prices okay, very crowded, but you still don't have to wait long. Extremely friendly service, we have rarely been served so nicely.

Das Lokal war voll und der Geräuschpegel kaum auszuhalten. Hier wäre eine lärmdämmende Einrichtung angebracht. Eine normale Unterhaltung am Tisch war fast nicht möglich. Mein Halb und Halb hatte eine Salatsoße als Vinaigrette, statt der normal typischen säuerlichen Essig-Öl-Marinade, die man zum Wurstsalat und sauren Käse erwartet. Der Name „saurer“ Käs ist hier nicht umsonst. Es war ok. Mehr leider nicht. Meine Freundin hatte einen gemischten Salat mit Frühlingsrollen. Hierzu wurden Preiselbeeren gereicht. Wie die dazu passen sollen, haben wir uns den ganzen Abend gefragt. Auf frage, ob man eine scharfe Soße zu den Frühlingsrollen haben kann, wurde verneint. Die Wurst vom Männergedeck wurde einfach frittiert. Die Soße Knoblauch und Ketchup waren dabei. Wobei die Knoblauchsoße sehr flüssig dafür nicht besonders gut war. Einzig der Putenspieß am Tisch war wohl sehr gut. Die Nachspeisekarte war enttäuschend. Wir haben eine andere Erwartung, wenn wir essen gehen.

Sehr angenehmes tolles Lokal. Freundlich und man fühlt sich wohl. Essen tolle Auswahl für jeden etwas dabei. Schmeckt super. Wir möchten auf jeden Fall im Frühjahr/Sommer den Biergarten besuchen. Dort keine Reservierung möglich, aber dass macht garnichts. Es hat wieder einmal Spaß gemacht bei Euch zu sein,Danke.

Das Essen ist hervorragend. Große Portionen und gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Die Wirtin ist super freundlich und auch ihre Mitarbeiter. Die Einrichtung ist außergewöhnlich. Man fühlt sich wirklich so, wie wenn man in einer Berghütte sitzen würde.

Supernetter Service, sehr zuvorkommend ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Sehr leckeres Essen zu sehr guten Preisen. Gemütliches Ambiente. Wir kommen definitiv wieder, wenn wir mal wieder in der Nähe sind.

Wir waren zu viert + Hund. Das erste mal dort und waren völlig begeistert. Das Essen ist absolut unvergleichlich, super lecker und sehr reichlich. Die Bedienung war bei uns super freundlich, trotz des sehr großen Andranges, der Laden war fast voll. Immer ein Lächeln, nachgefragt und präsent. So stell ich mir Service vor. Mit dem Ambiente und dem tollen Essen, absolut zu empfehlen. Wir kommen sicher wieder ;-)
