Im Schlupf in Pforzheim

The food didn't taste as good this time. I had a breaded schnitzel with pepperoni and feta cheese. It had barely any flavor and was fried far too oily for my liking. The cordon bleu was also too greasy.

Clubhouse, tennis players constantly walking through, drinks a bit lacking in love (no ice, no lemon, etc.), Caesar salad was basically a regular mixed salad without garlic sauce or Parmesan cheese (why call it that then?) and breaded chicken breast strips. Service was unemotional, value for money just about OK, but we won't go there again, but that's a matter of taste. OK for something to eat and drink after sports.

The food was very tasty and we were at a confirmation.

We were there on May 15, 2025, at 6:15 PM. The waitress saw us, but after 20 minutes, nothing had happened, so we left. There were exactly 20 guests there, and they already had their food. You're slacking off.

The restaurant is very good and there is usually enough parking space. This weekend there was probably a football tournament across the street and therefore there was no parking space in the immediate area. This is a problem, especially if you are severely disabled like me.

Wir waren hier auf einer Geburtstagsfeier mit 14 Personen, der Tisch war toll eingedeckt, der Sektempfang hat bestens geklappt, Der Ablauf und Service war ebenfalls gut. Jeder konnte von der vorausgewählten Geburtstagskarte bestellen und was uns erfreute, wir konnten gemeinsam zeitgleich essen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hervorragend. Das Schnitzel mit Pommes war super ausgebraten und riesig, auch das Zitronenviertel perfekt. Beim zugehörigen Beilagensalat handelte es sich um eine große Schüssel mir frischen Salaten und leckerem Dressing. Auch die Tagliatelle war aromatisch. Dann noch eine große Portion Eis mit Himbeeren und Sahne, super. Alle waren mehr als zufrieden. Es hat sich wohl herumgesprochen, dass man hier gut essen und einen schönen Abend verbringen kann, und das zu reellen Preisen, denn es war unter der Woche voll. Auch wir kommen hier gerne wieder her.

The food is good but not exceptional either! The ambience is ok for a sports restaurant but the service is catastrophic, after an hour we asked if we could get something to drink. A snappy, sure, now I am, there was the answer. So you can go for lunch once in a while but not anymore!

Ambience good. Aperol mixture too (much better than in Palm Beach, and cheaper 😉). But service outside is a complete disaster, despite the fact that there were actually enough staff.

The location is beautiful, on the Wilferdinger Höhe beyond the hustle and bustle of the city. The nearby sports fields are also nice. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired

We were only served after some time and after asking. The side salad was missing from three of our meals and was not served after repeated requests. When we paid we were told we would get 2 drinks off, which didn't work either... It's a shame we were happy to be in the loop...

In short: Only combined ready-made ingredients. Bad advice. Anyone with allergies or intolerances should avoid this restaurant. Not vegan and not gluten-free. Potato salad from a bucket. The dressing was probably ready-made. In long form: We were there with a large group, otherwise we probably wouldn't have gone. When we asked the owner about a gluten-free and vegan dish, he said the salad had no dressing and no dressed salad, just raw vegetables. But he had to think hard, and you could immediately see some panic. All the side dishes were apparently not gluten-free and not vegan. OK, so we ordered, and he instructed the waitress. The salad came standard with bread and was returned. When they brought another salad within 45 seconds, I asked if they had simply removed the bread. The rude blonde waitress said nothing and just rolled her eyes as she walked away. When I asked if the dressing was gluten-free and dairy-free after all, she replied, "Yes, it's dairy-free, it's the oil and vinegar dressing." I didn't want to send the salad back. After moving a few lettuce leaves away from where the bread was supposedly put, I spotted the supermarket ready-made salads under the fresh lettuce leaves and stopped eating. Unfortunately, it was too late, because severe stomach cramps followed shortly afterwards. I don't eat like that for fun. My husband tried the salad in a few places and said it was just ready-made stuff from buckets, like at a cheap snack bar. The service is rated 2 stars because the food was served very quickly for a lot of people. Probably because almost everything is ready-made. The allergen list was pretty poor and incomplete. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, especially if you have sensitive stomachs, allergies, or intolerances. We won't be going here again as a large group or as a single family.

I've repeatedly experienced very unfriendly service, and I almost don't like the food anymore. That's just my opinion; I'll never be back.

We celebrated a 70th birthday in the hatch. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. We were accommodated with 40 people in an adjoining room that was far too narrow for so many guests. There was another celebration in the restaurant. We weren't told anything about this in the preliminary conversation and the rooms were only separated from each other by a leaky sliding door. At the other party, Croatian music was playing non-stop and at full blast. It was impossible to have a conversation in our group. Despite repeated requests to turn the music down a little or take a break, we were ignored. We were very upset about that.

Ambiance OK, service OK, I ordered veal goulash with egg spaetzle, goulash was OK but with canned mushrooms, egg spaetzle was lukewarm and tasted like it had been in water for hours. I complained about it and didn't eat it. No can, may or anything came back, but I still gave a tip because of the service. But not a second time.

Modern restaurant with good home-style cuisine on the outskirts of Pforzheim. Delicious food, modern design, with outdoor seating. Well attended. Integrated into a sports facility, but not a typical sports restaurant. Always my pleasure.

We celebrated our wedding there in 2017. Never had anything to complain about! And we always enjoy going there!

Food was so-so... hardly seasoned, the "smaller" portion was maybe 1/3 of the normal portion, but the prices were high...

My first visit to the hatch, as friends have often been there in the past. It was okay overall. The food was partly good (turkey schnitzel) and partly okay (fries and side salad). The service was also okay. We were brought to the reserved table, but weren't served at first, didn't get a card and asked for it after about 10 minutes. The employees were otherwise friendly and helped when you asked. The restaurant wasn't completely full, but there were probably not enough employees (a common problem these days). The furnishings are modern and partly simple. The entire restaurant is open and therefore it is a little louder. Overall the price was okay, but I probably won't be visiting again in the near future.

The food is good. However, the staff supports regular guests who become violent towards strangers in the restaurant. We don't support something like that! Nothing more needs to be said!

Der Schlupf ist leider von Jahr zu Jahr schlechter geworden und findet dieses Jahr seinen Tiefpunkt bei Essen, das zwar reichlich aber gänzlich geschmacklos war. Die Spätzle, trocken, kaum gewürztes Fleisch und Soßen. Erstaunlich, dass es dennoch so voll ist. Hoffen wir, dass sich die Küche zukünftig wieder verbessert.

Ordered schnitzel with spaetzle and cream sauce and a tomato cream soup from the daily menu. Tasteless schnitzel, spaetzle, tasteless sauce...extended if necessary! Even after adding salt several times, the spaetzle still didn't taste good! Soup only tasted like cream and was even tasteless... Daily meal €9.90 + salad €3.50 is far from a good lunch for working people

I always liked to be in the hatch. But unfortunately we were served by terrible service on Sunday. (Blonde, about 50, grim face) When it was 30 degrees, we were ignored when we arrived and not asked if we wanted something to drink. The service was generally very rude. She almost took our order after 1 hour. The side dishes were forgotten so the meat was already cold. In some cases our wishes were not taken into account. The food always tastes very good but you can understand that it just wasn't right with such poor service. I don't know this from a restaurant at all, but the lady was really bottom drawer. I tried to communicate to the lady that we didn't feel well looked after, but she didn't care. The birthday wasn't so nice anymore because the lady ruined our evening. Maybe you should talk to your colleague.

Typical club restaurant. Huge outdoor area. Simple furnishings, no decoration. Service friendly. Food: Salad only had some dressing splattered on it. Cheese looked like melted plastic, the sauce looked like it had been mixed. Meat was OK, not dry. Toilets in the back. For ladies 3 cabins. No natural light/windows. A soap container was empty, as was the toilet paper in a toilet.

Typische Vereinsgaststätte. Riesiger Außenbereich. Einfache Ausstattung, keine Deko. Bedienungen freundlich. Essen: Salat war nur etwas Dressing aufgekleckst. Käse wirkte wie geschmolzenes Plastik, die Sauce sah nach angerührt aus. Fleisch war OK, nicht trocken. Toiletten im hinteren Bereich. Für Damen 3 Kabinen. Kein Tageslicht/Fenster. Ein Seifenbehälter war leer, in einer Toilette das Klopapier auch.

Great restaurant to sit inside and outside. The food was ok and the service was very friendly, but it has to be said that something went wrong with the drinks! We often had to wait 30-45 minutes for our drinks and even kept asking. Info: We celebrated a wedding there and there were also normal guests present, I'm assuming that the normal service is better ;) But at a wedding it basically has to go better, so that's just one point for the service sry. But I would be happy to recommend the restaurant✌️

My first visit to the hatch. There are enough places available. The lunch menu is very minimalistic, but you can also have the large menu. The prices are good. The quality of the meals is what you would expect in a sports restaurant. The salad was decent but unfortunately not homemade, as were the rest of the dishes. Unfortunately it's more of a ready meal. The staff wasn't particularly warm or unfriendly, it was okay. There are enough parking spaces within walking distance.

The first visit to “Im Schlupf” was very interesting. The restaurant simply wasn't on my list until now. But today it was time. The food is okay overall. For the price, I think you can't go wrong there, especially for lunch. The taste is what you would expect in a sports restaurant. Neither particularly good nor particularly bad. It's somewhere in the middle. Basically, I can recommend the restaurant if you just want to eat something. The service around it was neither particularly warm nor unfriendly. You just do your job. You could definitely do a little more here to give the guests a good feeling.

I'd love to go on a bike tour again

A restaurant that guarantees very good food at a reasonable price. The price for one person varies between 20-30€. An extra portion of salad or fries is also offered with the food you order.

The food is good, not outstanding, but perfectly fine. The portions are also large. What doesn't work here is the service. We actually sat for 3 hours and had zero chance of ordering another drink.

Well, it's nothing special, you can do it yourself at home and make it better. The meat was a bit dry but there was enough sauce on the plate to make you think you were eating soup. Less is more. I'm not a cook, but my tip is to cover the meat completely with seasoned STARCH and then grill it. Meat always stays juicy. The service was so-so and overwhelmed, maybe hire 1-2 more people!? We wanted to take the rest with us to pack up, asked the waitress and she came with the empty boxes, put them on the table and said, "We don't have time for that, you have to do that (no you and no please)". With a bill of over €270, that's miserable. Don't want to know what happens if you only order a drink and a salad. It seemed to me like it had been processed in a slaughterhouse. Not a nice feeling.
