I really liked it, delicious food and beer. But it is better to reserve a table. We were there on Friday and had to wait a bit. The atmosphere is great.

Great rustic atmosphere and excellent cuisine. There are also home-brewed beers (also available to take away), which taste really great. Tours of the small brewery are even offered. And about the service: it may be unusual for some, but the Rhenish Köbes may have a bit more robust manners, but they are usually nasty. never meant.

First of all: I can't understand all the negative reviews! In no way! I don't know which restaurant they were in and what high standards they have! Everything was perfect, from the table reservation and the personal response to the table reservation to the visit itself! 👍 We went to “Im Dom” for dinner today. The atmosphere of this rustic restaurant is very cozy! The service was super friendly without any ifs and buts! I'm just saying, as it echoes into the forest, it echoes out! Anyone who acts like the Prince of Monaco and thinks he is something better should probably not be surprised. Anyone who is friendly will be treated kindly! Back to the recession: home-brewed beer is special and every taste is different! It doesn't taste like your run-of-the-mill standard beer from the store, so everyone has to decide for themselves how they like it. I think it's great that breweries like this still exist. The price for a 0.5l beer is more than reasonable at €5.20 and in no way too expensive. Elsewhere you sometimes pay much more for half a liter of standard beer. Now about the food: the portions are very generous. I can't understand why others think the portions are too small. The taste was top notch. Delicious! And in terms of price, the cathedral is also in the middle segment. Of course you can eat cheaper, but also a lot more expensive! In summary, the visit “Im Dom” was excellent! It was a wonderful evening. Very rustic, cozy atmosphere. The service staff were/are on the ball. Friendly, nice. We had reserved a table for two people and it was very well attended on a Monday. The food was very tasty, especially the potato soup with Mettwurst (if you like potato soup). Different in every region 😁. Recommended. You get a decent portion for the price. Served in a soup bowl. I had a Florentine schnitzel. It was very plentiful, and for the price of the portion it was good value for money. I can't understand the many bad reviews. The people probably had a bad day themselves. The service would be unfriendly... As you call into the forest, it echoes back. It is a mutual consideration. And many people don't know how things work in service. They should first work in the job. On the whole, you should ignore the bad reviews and just go with a very good gut feeling. We had a good feeling. If you like home-brewed beer, try it too. Highly recommended 😁 to go. It's very well attended and that's saying something. The ambience is really good and has potential for a nice visit to a brewery. Unfortunately, that's where it ends. We were there with a group and had reserved a room. But the reservation was probably no longer available. When we ordered the first round of drinks, some of our group were already deep in conversation and didn't notice that the order had been taken. This was commented on with disrespectful behavior on the part of the waiter. The whole thing was repeated with the second order: “I’m not in the mood for you. You’re all students…” You feel well served there. That was it then. Too bad

But the DOM Gold also knows how to impress. Rustic, cozy interior and always friendly staff. The food is also quite convincing. A very tasty (strongly spiced) French onion soup with spent grain bread. And it was precisely this spent grain bread that gave the soup a special touch that convinced us. As a main course, the DOM spit roast in a strong sauce with fried potatoes and coleslaw. The meat and the fried potatoes were perfectly cooked and tasted excellent. The accompanying coleslaw rounded off the taste experience perfectly. The Florentine Schnitzel and the Schnitzel Senfrost from the other guests were also TIP-TOP. Drank two goulash soups and 4 small beers. Food was good and the beer is a matter of taste. All of this cost €28. We think this was far too expensive. All right. The cathedral had its chance and we will no longer support this usury.

It was a Sunday dinner time on the outskirts of town, but it seemed to be quite a popular restaurant. It's lively with people coming to the store one after another. I was feeling tired from the long trip, so I had some Wiener schnitzel and a beer, but I was very satisfied.

With good service, bad food can sometimes be forgiven. If the service is bad and the food is good, it becomes more difficult. But if the food is frozen and the service is subpar, you have arrived at the “Im Dom” brewery in Neuss. If I could give minus stars for the absolutely rude waiters (apart from the nice gentleman with a pigtail), I wouldn't hesitate. Right at the start we were approached by the grumpy old man at the entrance because he didn't seem to be able to keep his reservation book properly. It continued with Fritz Lemonade, which (yes, unfortunately I'm not kidding) was full of bird shit. And not just one bottle either. The old gentleman with greasy, medium-length hair was particularly unfriendly, making stupid, inappropriate comments and doing his job in a rather annoyed manner. Although that's putting it nicely. When the meal turned out to be frozen food for a hefty price, with the tip already included according to the menu (a smart decision, otherwise no tip would end up in the till), the evening was perfect. I can only recommend everyone to choose any other restaurant in Neuss. It doesn't matter which one. You certainly can't find it worse. Addendum in response to the nice reaction of the extremely critical owner: I don't know from what part of my message you understood that I would have expected chic in your sleazy shop with drinks full of bird shit. That was definitely not what I expected when I chose the restaurant. However, if by fancy you mean friendly service and delicious food, then I would actually have liked that. Since all the vegetable patties were the exact same shape and size, I would be very intrigued if you could make this yourself. By the way, we made the reservation with you over the phone for the exact number of people, but as you can see from all the reviews here, that doesn't seem to be your greatest strength. Nice rustic atmosphere with history, the food was very good, and the wheat beer was great. The waiter was very friendly. I can only recommend this restaurant. If I ever come back to the city, I'll stop here.

Unfortunately there is criticism for the service, orders are taken on a beer mat, of course there were mistakes and wrong food. There were also things on the bill that we didn't order, also because drinks are simply taken away but not noted at the table. The service was also short and there was a lack of friendliness and customer orientation in many places. It seemed rather listless and overwhelmed. Three plates are cleared away, the fourth remains on the table for 20 minutes. Several times we sat in front of empty drinks and had to repeatedly draw attention to ourselves so that we could be served. The food was really great and I would come back for food and beer (and the great selection for vegetarians), but the service really weakened the picture. But there will be a second chance.

Waren gegen 18.00 Uhr zum Essen mit Freunden. Alle Schnitzel mit Pommes bestellt. Leider keine Pommes da, also Bratkartoffeln. Bratkartoffeln kalt und labbrig. Eine Stunde später lief die Kellnerin mit Essen an uns vorbei mit Pommes. Angesprochen hieß es dass der Chef noch eingekauft hätte. Na ja, dann eben nicht. Man hatte den Eindruck das die Bedienung im Stress war. Beim bezahlen wollte sie die Deckel mitnehmen und irgendwo ausrechnen. Darauf angesprochen, dass man die Ausrechnung des Deckels doch im Beisein des Gastes machen sollte, kam sie dem aber doch Nach. Alles in allem ein etwas enttäuschter Abend.

Sehr enttäuschender Besuch. Während alle anderen am Tisch ihr Essen bekamen und gegessen hatten, kam meines gar nicht!!! Außer einer Entschuldigung von der Kellnerin passierte nichts. Der chef tat nichts. Beschwerden gab es auch an anderen Tischen. Am Ende riet uns die Kellnerin, die Rechnung zu zahlen und zu gehen, da mein Essen nicht mehr kommen würde. Ich musste hungrig rausgehen und mir im nächsten Imbiss etwas holen. Hier werden wir definitiv nicht wieder hingehen.

Top brewing art. I didn't know which beer to choose after the beer tasting because they were all great. The food is as good as the beers. Especially the vegetarian schnitzel. I've never enjoyed a schnitzel like this before and then the Rhenish service, as original as in Berlin. The place would be my regular pub.

Came across the brewery on the recommendation of a local. Delicious Maibock beer and a lamb shank with a very tasty sauce. Nice, quick service and a rustic atmosphere. Great recommendation!

Ehrlich gesagt,hat es etwas nachgelassen.. Personal zwar freundlich ..aber die Preise mittlerweile ÜBER der Schmerzgrenze .. dann Speisen nicht so wie auf der Karte .. zB Zwiebelsuppe gratiniert mit Käse und Treberbrot wird OHNE Käse serviert .aber zum VOLLEN Preis berechnet.( Begründung das Gerät zum gratinieren ( Salamander ) ist defekt ...( Normal könnte man auch die Brotscheiben mit Käse im Backofen überbacken und dann in die Suppe geben. Bierpreis wurde inzwischen auch erhöht .. wenn man Glück hat , je nachdem wer gerade zapft ist das Glas bis zum Eistrich voll ..sehr oft fehlt ein guter Schluck und man muss darauf hinweisen, das das Glas nicht richtig voll ist .. Schade ..das es sich langsam ins negative ändert .. deshalb nur noch 3 Sterne ..und nicht wie vor einem halben Jahr noch volle Punktzahl .. Liebes Dom Team kehrt zu euren Wurzeln zurück Ihr könnt es doch ..😀

Beim letzten Besuch Schnitzel mit Salat für 18,50 € gegessen. Diesmal gab es das Schnitzel ohne Salat für 19,60 €, Salat kann extra für 3,90 € bestellt werden. D.h. weniger auf dem Teller und dafür aber 1 Euro mehr. Zusammenfassung: Vor 2 Monaten Schnitzel mit Salat für 18,50 €, heute gleiches Schnitzel mit Salat für 23,50 € -> Preiserhöhung von 27 % Das nenne ich einfach nur unverschämt, für zwei kleine trockene Schnitzel mit etwas Paprikasoße und Pommes auf neuen kleineren Tellern. Schade.

Na aanleiding van hoge plaats op tripadvisor gaan eten deze plaats is veel te hoog . Eten is niet bijzonder en bediening is niet zoals het hoort te zijn niet gastvrij meer het moeten werken ook alleen maar mannen, en vrouwen zijn er ook niet veel die komen eten Bier is wel heel lekker ( mag ook wel in brouwerij cafe)

Ich hatte heute Hirschragout mit Rotkohl und Butterspätzle zum Mittagessen. Irgendwie haben sich da ein paar kleine Pilzstücke hineinverirrt. Davon stand nichts auf der Karte und die Anzahl war so gering, dass ich nicht von Absicht ausgehen kann. Gemacklich war das Essen ganz okay, aber die Schnitzel und die Haxe sind auf jeden Fall eher zu empfehlen. Die Menschen "Im Dom" sind sehr freundlich und sympathisch, aber ich hätte sicher ein Glas mehr getrunken, wenn ich gefragt worden wäre. Leider konnte man heute nicht auf 50 Euro rausgeben. Das Ambiente hier ist so wie man sich das in einem Brauhaus vorstellt. Alles ist sehr sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Bei nächsten Mal greif ich wieder zum Schnitzel. Alles in allem ist dieses Restaurant immer einen Besuch wert.

Rufen mittag an um zu reservieren. Auskunft des Mitarbeiters " ist nicht nötig"! Kommen mit 4 Personen von außerhalb. Umsonst, kein Tisch frei. Personal überheblich, entgegenkommen geht anders. Nie wieder.

Schon sehr,sehr oft zu Gast dort gewesen, meistens mit der ganzen Familie. Eines stößt mir, sehr Sauer auf. Für telefonische Tischreservierungen, wird man sehr unhöflich abgetan, fast asozial. So etwas hat mit guten Manieren und gutem Geschäftsgebaren nichts zutun!. Aber man muss ja hier, nicht weiter Gast sein. .....sorry ! Bei Ihnen suche, ich persönlich null Quartier mehr, Ihre Antwort spricht für Sie, sorry Sehr Gastfreundlich, super Gastronom, sorry aber wahr.

As always the Dom did not disappoint,the beer was really good. There was a seasonal beer which was very nice. The food was excellent and had hearty potions. Gulasch soup was lovely and the homemade dark bread went really well with the soup. We visit Neuss often and we always try and have at least one meal here. Nearer the weekend it is advisable to book a table as it gets very busy.

Meiner Frau schneckten am Mittag die Muscheln - sie war mehr als zufrieden Geschmack/Menge - sehr gut. Ich hatte eine Haxe. Bratkartoffeln abbestellt, es wurden mir sofort Alternativen angeboten. Haxe kam - ich hatte vergesseen die Sosse abzubestellen. Was ein Glück eine göttliche leckere Sosse auf dem Teller. Das war keins aus dem Döschen. Ein netter älterer Kellner bediente sehr aufmerksam, aber nicht aufdrindlich.

Sehr schönes Brauhaus mit super freundlichem Personal. Eine wirklich gute Auswahl auch an typischen rheinischen Gerichten und vielen anderen Leckereien. Kann es nur jedem empfehlen, der lecker essen gehen und dazu eine gute Auswahl an Bier genießen möchte.

Ich war Anfang November 2023 hier im Dom zum Essen eingeladen worden. Die Speisekarte hat eine Auswahl für den kleinen und großen Hunger. Die Athmosphäre und das Personal au point . Die Rheinischen Muscheln waren ein Träumchen.

Eine sehr nette Gaststätte mit günstiger Tageskarte und Brauereiausschank. Heute habe ich das Honigbier probiert. Recht süß aber sehr lecker.

Es hat einen Grund, dass dieses Brauhaus bereits seit 1601 existiert - hier stimmt einfach alles. Generationen meiner Familie speisten schon im Dom in Neuss. Freundliche Bedienung, urige Atmosphäre, traditionelle Gerichte. Wir hatten Muscheln, die perfekt zubereitet waren. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Es ist eine tolle Gaststätte mit gutem Bier und gutem Essen.

Wer leckere Hausmannskost in schöner Atmosphäre genießen will, der ist hier genau richtig! Lecker auch das Hausgemachte Altbier. Zu empfeheln ist die Zwiebelsuppe mit Treberbrot, sowie Himmel und ääd!

Man kann nett sitzen und bei gemütlicher Stimmung den Abend verbringen. Das Bier, insbesondere „Honigbier“ ist zu empfehlen

Einfaches und gutes Brauhaus mit gutbürgerlicher Küche. Sehr nette Bedienung, das Essen war auch sehr lecker und schnell fertig und das zu einem sehr anständigen Preis.

Die Atmosphäre ist aus der Zeit der 70er Jahre. Das Essen ist üppig, extrem schnell zubereitet, da Vieles vorbereitet und das Bier schmeckt gut.

Meine Frau ist Veganer und trinkt keinen Alkohol. Ich esse Fleisch und liebe Altbier. Das Altbier hier ist wirklich lecker. Wir beide haben den Aufenthalt zum Abschluss unserer Wanderung um Neuss genossen. Als Wanderführer im VLN werde ich sicher hier bald mit meinen Wanderfreunden einkehren.

Sehr schöne und gemütliche Gasstätte, super schnelles und nettes Personal,sehr leckeres Essen und Bier, viel preiswerter als im Raum Leipzig, die große Portionen sind kaum zu schaffen. Es ist schon überraschend, wenn man nach seinem reserviertem Tisch fragt und die Reaktion des Kellners (älter, halblange Haare, Kinnbart) ist total genervtes Augenverdrehen und die total unfreundliche Frage "Was ist?!?" Auf die Frage, ob man nervt, kommt tatsächlich die Antwort "Ja." Wenn man als Gast den Kellner nervt, indem man nur nach seinem reserviertem Tisch fragt, ist es wohl besser, man geht wieder. Was wir dann auch getan haben. Sehr befremdlich! Dann halt nicht. Vermutlich sind die anderen Kellner nett, aber mir persönlich reicht ein Mal vollkommen ungerechtfertigtes Anpampen. Das war wohl unser letzter Besuch dort. Ich gebe mein Geld lieber dort aus, wo ich als Gegenleistung wenigstens ein bisschen Respekt bekomme.

Nach längerer Pause wieder im Dom gewesen. Zigeunerschnitzel ist um einiges teurer geworden, schmeckt aber immer noch gut, uch der zugehörige Salat war lecker. Die Bedienung war freundlich und aufmerksam. Zum Glück waren abends keine schreienden Kleinkinder anwesend, die gehören dann nämlich ins Bett. Immer wieder gerne....

Ein typisches Brauhaus Ein sehr flotter und gut gelaunter Kellner. Leider zu wenig Personal. Wir hätten auch 2 bis 3 Gläser Alt mehr getrunken 😋 Das Essen war gut.... Bis auf das Schweine fleisch. Hatte einen etwas strengen Nachgeschmack. Die Beilagen und Saucen waren top

Eten was oké, prijs kwaliteit oké, obers arrogant, pedant en irritant, jammer, voor de rest aardige tent, de ober met paardenstaart deed zeker z’n best, de andere zou de tent zeker kunnen upgraden…..door op te rotten!!!

Leckeres Bier, gutes Essen, rustikales und gepflegtes Ambiente…das ist genau das was man bekommt! Toller Laden!

Essen war sehr lecker - nur leider war der Service zum Schluss beim kassieren sehr ***eisse Es wurde beleidigt und rausgeworfen… Hätte man Kommunikation betrieben ok, aber war leider nicht der Fall!!

Egal ob zwischendurch oder beim Neusser Schützenfest: Der Dom ist einfach eine Empfehlung. Tolles Essen, leckere Getränke und auch die vegetarische Auswahl ist unerwartet gross und ebenso lecker!

Kann man echt empfehlen. Lecker Essen und das Nüsser Knupp Bier top.

Diese Brauhaus ist nicht mit Kindern geeignet der Wirt super unfreundlich sowas habe ich in meinem Leben erlebt, das er eine Familie mit Kleinkind hinauskomplimentiert hat mit was für eine Aggression. Empfehle ich nur für älteres Publikum die nicht laufen und sprechen . Nie mehr.....

Tisch für 7 Personen mit zwei Hunden bestellt und 6 Personen Tisch bekommen ! Müsst Ihr etwas zusammen rücken.... Nach einigen Diskussionen dann einen größeren Tisch bekommen Kinderwagen in der Service Gasse mit dauerndem Umstellen sobald der Service kam... Essensqualität ....na ja Portionen....na ja Hat wohl der Pächter gewechselt...
