The food is of very good quality. What bothers me is the service when you're there. You have to order at the counter first, and you can easily wait 30 minutes when it's busy before you're allowed to order. The subsequent table service is very poor. The price is reasonable.

We came on a Sunday afternoon and were welcomed with a queue long enough to go out of the restaurant. This was quite unfortunate as we waited roughly 1,5 hours until we had the chance to order and sit down. Just based on that I would recommend to avoid busy days such as Sundays or any other usual business time as no matter how tasty something can be it’s not worth it to wait that long. Anyway, we stayed resilient until we received our food and due to the waiting I was not in a good mood. Fortunately the food was better than expected and did not disappoint. The meat was juicy and seasoned well. The Tzatziki was also one of the better ones I had and complimented the dish quite well. As for the fries, they were nothing fancy, though I need to admit I‘m not a fries person generally. To sum up if you ever get the chance to go there and don’t need to wait, then I would highly recommend to give this restaurant a try, it may be a little pricier than other competitors, but the portions are very filling and the taste gives it the final touches to validate the price.

It's a gyro shop that's way overhyped. You wait forever because they only serve one person at a time, and even then, only when your portion is ready. Even without a queue, you'll wait ages for just fries. And they're really quick to make. Customer focus and service aren't a priority. It's more of a nuisance than a pleasure every time – not for those who are just looking for a quick bite. You should definitely bring time and patience.

Afterward, I had a decent portion of gyro with coleslaw, topped with a rather small portion of tzatziki and onions. The meat is tasty, yes, but unfortunately a bit too coarsely cut, meaning it's too thick. Because of the high fat content, it often feels like you're chewing gum because the gyro is sliced ​​quite thickly. The meat is well seasoned, but not overly so. Could have been a little spicier, but everyone has different tastes. I've set the bar as a standard, so for me, the best gyro is Akropolis in Bergisch Gladbach Schildgen, where they also serve very large portions but are significantly tastier and of better quality. The coleslaw was slightly oily and tasted of vinegar, so all good. The tzatziki had a good bite, so it was a good consistency, but it was quite bland. It barely tasted of garlic. The onions were sliced ​​perfectly thin. The portion was quite large, except for the amount of tzatziki compared to the amount of meat, but unfortunately, the price wasn't justified in my opinion. I think the price is in line with the hype. All in all, a good gyro and apparently the best in Cologne, but not the best I've eaten. The food is truly excellent. It's perhaps €1-2 more expensive than elsewhere, but the taste is top-notch and the portions are quite large. The wait time is sometimes ridiculous. I discovered Iltis on social media and had been wanting to eat there for a while. Today was finally the day – my first visit, and I was immediately greeted warmly. I first ordered a gyro pita with meat, coleslaw, and onions – without sauce, to go. Less than 10 minutes later, I went back in because it was so good and ordered a second one – this time with tzatziki. The meat is incredibly juicy and flavorful, the portions are excellent, and the staff and owners are just super friendly people. Iltis Grill: a small, charming place. The food is simply fantastic. The meat is nicely seasoned and large, the fries are crispy, and the tzatziki and salad are very fresh. The downside: we waited almost 30 minutes for our order. But the food was worth it. If you want to eat in, you can sit at one of the few tables inside or outside. It's easy to have a good conversation, and despite the passing trams, it's not noisy. We'll definitely be back. Hopefully, there won't be a long wait this time.

I would be thrilled if the tzatziki was homemade and made with real, refreshing yogurt.

The farmer's salad wasn't fresh, especially the tomatoes... Greek salad with just one olive and a piece of bell pepper doesn't look like a Greek salad... The meat was tasty, but very salty. The tzatziki sauce was delicious.

So fresh, so creamy, so perfectly flavored – almost like my Greek grandmother's. The wait: Yeah, it takes a long time. Sometimes a really long time. What a load of crap, you think at first. 5 out of 5 stars – A taste experience like in Greece! I tried the Gyrospita and absolutely loved it! The meat was perfectly seasoned, juicy and grilled to perfection. Plus the warm, fluffy pita bread – slightly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside – an absolute dream. Fresh lettuce, crunchy onions, juicy tomatoes and of course the creamy, homemade tzatziki sauce rounded the whole thing off perfectly. Every bite was a Mediterranean getaway. You can simply taste the quality and the attention to detail. For me this is the best Gyrospita far and wide - I'll definitely be back!
