The shop is clean, the staff is friendly. I especially liked how thinly the meat was sliced. The coleslaw seems to have little to no sugar. Great! The prices are completely reasonable.

Deducting a star is because I don't like shaved meat and I love scallions. Dad probably sliced ​​them with a knife, but that way it gets cold too quickly and is less crispy. The portions of mayo and tzatziki are also reasonable. We'll be back.

As the son of a snack bar owner who grew up in one, I can say that Jakob is very good. The meat isn't gristly, but rather crisp and well-seasoned. The coleslaw is excellent. Treat yourself.

For me, this is actually the best gyro for miles around, and the staff is usually very polite! Unfortunately, today was the first time it's been different: When I walked in, the employee coughed into his hand. After I took my order, he took my plate without putting on gloves or washing his hands and started preparing my meal. When I asked him to take a new plate and wash his hands, he demonstratively threw it down. The look from the employee also ruined my appetite. It's a shame.

I have tried every greek restaurant in my area and here it tastes the most like you are actually in Greece :)

I can only say one thing: super, super tasty meat and a fantastic tzatziki, which, strangely enough, very few Greek restaurants can do, but here it's simply delicious. I personally find the portion sizes perfect, and the price/performance ratio is excellent! I'd go back anytime!

We ordered food there on Sunday and were very disappointed. We ordered two gyros, fries, and tzatziki by phone. We were supposed to be there in 15 minutes. When we arrived, we were told it would take another 20 minutes. Okay. Then we got our food and drove home. Then came the disappointment. The food there is always delicious and the portions are very generous, but this time it was different. We had more tzatziki than meat or fries, and that was at a price of €13 per portion. Since I didn't feel like going there again, we accepted it. Maybe the meat and fries were out or not ready yet, but then I'll have to tell the customer. Should we spoon the tzatziki? Never been like this before. Now I'm extremely disappointed, especially given today's prices.

The food is OK, but the website only transmits unencrypted data and uses an expired certificate. Wow. Dear people, we're now in the "new" millennium – something like this might have been acceptable 30 years ago, but definitely not in 2025!

Legendary! If you're really hungry and don't want to stuff yourself too much, my recommendation: gyros with salad – definitely order the "mixed" and not just the cabbage. You can see how full the plate is. And the salads (beans, cucumbers, cabbage, etc.) are worth the visit alone. The gyros and tzatziki will do the trick. The price, at just under €13, is incredibly fair. Service is also top-notch – friendly, courteous, and prompt. I've been there before and had pita, because according to a Greek expert, they serve "real" pita – it was different and also very good. We'll be back!

I would like to respond to the review by "Thomas Müller": I can understand if you're upset about the partially increased prices caused by inflation, but I just want to get one thing off my chest: Jakob Gyros has to pay rent, electricity, staff, etc., which have consistently increased in recent years. And despite all these costs, you always get excellent quality food at this restaurant. The fries are always absolutely on point, and the gyros, tzatziki, and the like are, in my opinion, unsurpassed. Apart from that, the portions are always more than sufficient, and the staff is always VERY accommodating. Therefore, I absolutely refuse to accept any gouging of the price of the fries here! I can only recommend Jakob Gyros to anyone looking for a good & authentic portion of gyros + fries. Kudos to the team! ❤️

I ate a Gyros Pita. The pita flatbread is baked crispy. Portion tends to be small. But the meat was the best I've tried so far. The spice isn't too overpowering either. Top quality. The feeling of fullness in my stomach that I often have after a gyro dish was also non-existent afterwards. Food free of additives.

Ordered the standard gyros Pita. The meat was cooked to perfection. It seemed a but underwhelming because of the lack of seasoning. Combined with a bland-ish zaziki sauce and a pita bread which was thick, made with a coarse pizza-like dough the dish tasted good but still sorta ordinary. If the pita had been a bit thinner and the zaziki had a better punch, I would've enjoyed the experience much much more! But as a follow-up, I ordered the gyros platter with mixed salad. The proportions were perfect, so was the seasoning and the textures and the viscosity of the sauces and the volume of salad was satiating. The feta was very fresh as well. So the platters are a better option in my opinion! The inconsistency of quality, especially the gyros meat in the next few times made me drop one star for that eventually.

In 2020 hatte ich Jacob Grill zum ersten mal bewertet- mit 5 Sternen. An der Qualität hat sich meiner Ansicht nach auch nichts verändert- sehr gut das Fleisch, die Pommes, das Tzaziki und auch der Krautsalat ( nämlich nicht zu süß). aber einfach zu teuer. Gyros Komplett mit Fritten, Krautsalat und dem Fleisch kostet aktuell 13,50, und wenn man noch ein Schlag Tzaziki haben möchte ( was für mich eigentlich dazugehören sollte ), muss man noch mal 1€ drauflegen, und für 14,50€ und in Anbetracht der Portionsgröße muss ich leider sagen, da stimmt für mich das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis nicht mehr- deshalb, und nur deshalb gebe ich 2 Punkte Abzug.

Very good gyros and the concept is very oriented towards authentic Greek snack culture. The only gyros shop that offers the pita as traditionally offered in Greece. I just find the portion size a bit puny for the price.

Damals war das Gyros hier besonders saftig und genau richtig gewürzt. Heute sind sie eher trocken, salzig und die Pommes frites alt (etwa eine Stunde vorher frittiert). Schade, dass der Laden so an Qualität verloren hat. Selbst die Köche tragen keine Gummihandschuhe und es ist ekelhaft zu sehen, wie sie mit bloßen Händen die Pitas anfassen und bedrucken, mit denen sie kurz darauf zum Handy greifen, Zigaretten rauchen und auf die Toilette gehen...

Basically delicious: good gyros and crispy fries. Some sauce could be included, the prices are actually set high enough for that. Normally you can eat the club sandwich for two people, but last time 2 out of 4 pieces had almost no meat in them, so €15 is too much for that.

Gyros Pita to take away: Unfortunately the meat and bread were cold after about 3 minutes of getting home. There was a lot of garlic in the tzatziki. Otherwise surprisingly tasty considering it was served cold.

Known for many years, and also with increased prices in 2024, high-quality gyros provider! We were served quickly, were able to wait at tables outside and were then called loudly (although without a loudspeaker, like next door at 🐮🐄😜) to pick up at the counter. I really liked the Greek version (everything warm with fries, ketchup and mustard). My wife prefers it “German” with cold tzatziki and coleslaw on the warm, crispy pork. Full recommendation!!!

Absolute cult shop. Everything has already been said here but I'll give it a try😋 Great meat quality, not overly seasoned and of course in taste. Various selection of fresh salads and my absolute favorite, the homemade tzatziki as they should be. Creamy consistency with no aftertaste. When you look at the skewer you can see how elaborately it is put together. The meat lobes are cut so thin that you could see through them 😁 I definitely recommend them 🎉

Ordered 2x large gyro plates, once with tzatziki. Even though I had specifically written that the fries should still be hot and that the salad and tzatziki should be packed SEPARATELY, everything came squished together in one bowl. As a result, the few fries from the watery salad tasted sour and were already quite cold. The price of 14 euros is not justified if you save on meat and fries because you take up so much space in the bowl for tzatziki and salad... The tzatziki and the meat both taste great. However, I am very disappointed because space is given for comments, but the addition is then completely ignored!!!
