The positive preceded: The Jägerschnitzel was absolutely ok. The side dish chosen (and requested in advance) was not on the plate, but the croquettes were still very tasty. The cola wasn't sufficiently carbonated, but the beer was tasty. The chicken was pretty dead and very flat / the sauce - just like the schnitzel - was delicious. The very loud cooling of the counter unfortunately rounded off the overall impression. Somehow the vocal construct didn't seem very Italian to me.

Proud prices. Long waiting time. Very unfriendly and slow service. The owner deals with criticism very uncomprehendingly.

We found the price-performance ratio to be very inadequate. The food is nothing special and not loving and tastes quite neutral. The service was in great need of improvement (speed, friendliness, attention, hospitality). The atmosphere didn't seem Italian to us either. We waited 1.5 hours for our food at a restaurant that wasn't busy. Then another dish was forgotten. When asked, they asked for 2 minutes of patience and after 20 minutes nothing had happened. Then the wrong dish came to the table. No apology, no accommodation, nothing. Very disappointing.

We were in Glowe with the whole family for my 60th birthday and had dinner at an Italian restaurant. The Italian dishes with pasta were OK, but I treated myself to a piece of beef steak, which I wanted MEDIUM, and after 1 hour a shoe sole was delivered, through! The service was also a long time coming, waiting times were above average, could be because I only saw one person in service. The atmosphere is pleasant! However, I can't give this more than 2 stars because of that! SORRY!

An idyllic Italian restaurant with great attention to detail. Although it is located on the main street, it is still quiet. The food is very authentic and the portions are sufficient. Unfortunately, the pleasure is not a bargain. A large parking lot and a toilet are available.

The food wasn't good, my partner's pizza was ok. My pizza was cold if not lukewarm. The service was not well organized. Despite a reservation, the place was not prepared and was more like a small cat table on the edge. The brusceta were just ok. I cannot recommend the restaurant.

Top, everything was great and great food

The service this evening seemed stressed and restless but the food was great, prices are of no interest to us, mainly it tastes good 😄

It looked nice outside, but we sat inside because of the weather. The ambience is generally okay, but a little more love could have been put into the decoration and furnishings. The service was ok, we didn't have to deal with the staff more than necessary. The food was just about average, don't expect a taste explosion here. A few more spices would be good for the dishes. For the price I would have expected more.

I ordered a tuna pizza and bitterly regretted it. A few hours after consumption, severe diarrhea and vomiting began. Histamine poisoning is the only explanation. The symptoms clearly indicate massive hygiene deficiencies when handling tuna. Such conditions are completely unacceptable in a restaurant. I definitely won't visit this place again and strongly advise anyone not to eat here. The holiday on Rügen was ruined by this restaurant.

Very tasty food. However, for an Italian it is comparatively expensive. Most main courses cost from 20 euros. The portions are plenty. The drinks are also rather expensive. I recommend taking advantage of the lunch specials (until 3 p.m.).

We ordered something and took it with us. Less than 20 minutes had passed between the order and the delivery. The food tasted good and was also very reasonable in terms of price. The waiter seemed a bit bored, but was nice despite everything. Is highly recommended. Thanks.

We were there right at 11 - which is great for us because very few people have lunch at 11 (but if the kids are awake at 5, they're hungry at 11) so there's free choice of seating. The service was quick and friendly, the portions were a good size and very tasty. There was even a little something extra for the kids. We can only recommend it.

This whole evening was a complete disgrace! I was with my wife next door in the Indian restaurant (which is part of this restaurant). After I ordered a mediocre dish for a relatively large amount of money and asked about the toilets, I was told that there were no toilets in this restaurant and that I had to go to the building next door. The sanitary facilities there were relatively dirty. But you couldn't dry your hands because the paper towel dispenser wasn't full. The whole program for €58! No lie: I've never experienced anything like that!

Never again !! We ordered pasta and lasagne to pick up, everything was ready for pick up after 20 minutes. The pasta was far from Italian food. The lasagne (lukewarm) was swimming in fat and consisted of 80 percent bubblegum-like cheese. Minced meat and lasagne sheets could only be guessed at, there was no béchamel sauce, the taste was a smooth 6 - a disgrace for €18.90. Last but not least, my wife thought about the pasta again late in the evening...

The order was taken quickly, but I still hadn't had the food (a portion of pasta and a pizza) after an hour. So unfortunately I can't say what the food was like.

The pasta with our dishes didn't taste like anything, it was definitely missing salt. The veal fillet was okay, the noodles tossed in sage could only be eaten with the sauce. The forest mushrooms were just soggy. My girlfriend had tagliatelle in gorgonzola spinach sauce. There was also no salt on the pasta. The toilets could be cleaner. Why are the cleaning products lying around? Other guests around us waited 1.5 hours for their food and were, understandably, angry and dissatisfied. The service was simply too little and too slow. It could also be cleaner, especially outside. The prices on the ice cream menu are a disgrace, 12 euros for an ice cream sundae is crazy. Not recommended!!!

It took a long time to take the order until the food arrived, but over an hour. The pizza was okay, the saltimbocca was covered in an indefinable mush. The vegetables were fresh but very oily. With two beers and a wine spritzer, the price of over EUR 70.00 was far too much. Not recommended.

Good cuisine, is recommended. However, the knives require a lot of effort when cutting pizza. Sharpening the knives is urgently necessary.

The food tastes like canned spaghetti but the service was quite nice

A lot of time passed before a person came to take the drink order and we could also order food. Of the starters, of the bruschetta, only one slice was toasted, all the others weren't, and the taste wasn't great either. Spices were also saved on the fish soup. The main course on all plates had a lot of leaf salad as a garnish, every meal lacked seasoning, no taste, you ordered vegetables as a side dish, which also had potatoes that you already had as a side dish with your plate. The vegetables were overcooked and not really seasoned. Toilets weren't clean either.

The staff is understaffed, and sometimes someone has to help out at the ice cream truck. Food was very simply prepared and not understandable for the price category. Waited 40 minutes for the food, another 20 minutes until we paid after the plates were empty and cleared away. Pizza is a lot of cheese about nothing.

The pizzeria is nicely decorated, with seating inside and outside. The staff was friendly, but also seemed very stressed. Unfortunately we had to wait an hour for the food. It was warm and tasted good.

Was there for the third time now, had very good ice cream again.

We were there for the second time yesterday and were actually looking forward to it because it was very nice the last time. Children had pizza and pasta which was just about ok with the waiting time. But the fact that you have to wait almost an hour for an actual starter and that the service staff notify you three times tops everything Even the bill took almost 3/4 hour. If we weren't properly behaved, we and the table next door would have simply left. The whole thing was very chaotic. We are really disappointed 😞. Not even an apology or anything on the house as compensation. I prefer not to mention the toilet. It's all a shame.

Service was friendly... we had to wait over an hour for the food and the taste wasn't great. All in all - 6 points out of 10.

Unfortunately we didn't get to taste the food. In the evening around 7:30 p.m. we were in the restaurant and were able to take a seat outside. The table was still full of leftover dishes from the previous guests. This was totally ignored and so were we. It was very crowded, many guests stared questioningly at the waiter, who had probably been waiting for their food for a long time. 2 waiters who served guests, one for drinks... definitely not enough in the high season!!! We left again without eating.

Very dirty. The toilet was already completely dirty at 12 p.m. when it opened. Terrace hasn't been swept for ages. There is rubbish on the floor. Very expensive. Food was nothing special. We had a pizza and two pasta. It took 55 minutes since we were all alone. Really not recommended!

Ice cream is not recommended, there were pieces of ice in every scoop. It's a shame about €10 for 5 balls 😅

Update 07/2024: Again we were spontaneous, with a quick reservation by phone. The quality of the food and the hospitality has not diminished. Sure, prices have risen like everywhere else. For a freshly tapped 0.5 liter Pils you pay €5.90 - at least half a liter...😊 The pizzas start at €15 This time our son had lasagna, which was also delicious😋 For comparison, the photos from this year and last year...same size and quality👍🏻 We will be happy to come back! Summer 2023: Spontaneously making a reservation while on the go was better that way. After us, guests unfortunately had to switch to pizza to go. The restaurant was very busy, which didn't cause any problems for the staff. We received a very friendly welcome, the waitresses supported each other and were always courteous. The food was on the table after a few minutes and was very tasty. At 32 cm, the pizzas were sufficiently large and special requests were happy to be fulfilled. We weren't sitting at the most comfortable table because the pizzas we picked up all walked past us, but we didn't plan on staying any longer either. There are quieter seats at the back of the restaurant. The outdoor area is large and even heated. The tables were clean and the sanitary facilities were impeccable. My family doesn't think the partial deductions in the reviews are justified. As is the case everywhere, the prices are inflationary but are appropriate for the service and quality. Waiting time was short, pizza was ok, but a bit bland. However, the prices are very steep. €14.95 for a Margherita is already close to the limit...

Nice Italian. The order was taken quickly. Drinks arrived within 5 minutes. The house bonus was olives and bread. Ordering food was also quick and we didn't have to wait long. Pizzas are very large, pasta seemed very little at the beginning, but we were proven wrong because we were pretty full of pasta afterwards🤪. Very nicely presented on the plate and the water bottles also looked quite elegant. All in all a nice, very tasty Italian visit.

Ordered a cocktail which came, Cola with rum. Because the menu wasn't updated. It can happen sometimes. I got the cocktail I originally ordered and only had to pay for the coke. I thought it was okay. Overall, the food was okay, except that various fish were not prepared properly. There was also quite a lot going on that day. I wouldn't go there to eat anymore, I'd just order pizza.

Absolutely world class, the service, the food, everything. You will never find such a good Italian in Italy. Absolute recommendation! Visiting with a dog is no problem at all!

The child had a craving for pizza but could never finish a whole pizza. Upon request, the pizza was split, 1/2 with salami and 1/2 with tuna. Super accommodating. Beautiful patio, flower pots painted in Italian colors and beautifully planted, fresh flowers on the table, ice cream in many variations. The price was also okay (I paid the price for tuna pizza for the pizza, which is okay for me). The pizza was delicious. It was a cozy meal and then we went to the water playground next to it.

Nice restaurant, but the prices are way too high! Pizza Margherita around €14, spaghetti aglioli €14. Normal pizza around 18-19€, we ordered pizza, good size but without spices. Tasted very bland. We expected more for this price. We won't be coming back.

Our service was very nice and friendly. The place is clean and the moat around it is nice. My chicken breast with gorgonzola sauce wasn't that tasty. It was some kind of cheese and cream mush. Gorgonzola is a blue cheese and there wasn't a single bit of blue mold in the sauce. The croquettes were NOT served in the sauce. That was a plus. The croquettes were delicious.

There's not much to say here. Italian-style pizzeria and ice cream parlor. Everything chic, fast, friendly service. Pizza, lasagna, ice cream, everything was delicious. Price performance completely ok. What stands out here in town are the opening times. But Giardino opened its doors a little longer, great. Kind regards

We were in Glowe for a week and ate 3 times at the Italian restaurant Il Giardino. We were thrilled by the friendliness and the delicious food, which was also beautifully prepared. We can only recommend this restaurant and look forward to seeing you again in the summer with an outdoor terrace and ice cream to take away.

Our pizzas had plenty of toppings and therefore tasted good. The lasagne was served sizzling hot, which is not okay, but it tasted very good

Major USP - One of the few restaurants that stays open till very late. The pizzas were very tasty. We ordered 1 Diavola and 1 Margherita. The Eiscafe is highly recommended. They made a very nice Eisschokolade. The service was very attentive.

We called beforehand and wanted to make a reservation, but there was something available there, so come. At first they wanted to give us a table right where the bread was cut. But we quickly got another place. The starter took a moment (tomato soup tasted delicious: tomato-fruity) and the main course unfortunately came too quickly - the starter hadn't been eaten yet. We both had to add seasoning to the main course (penne al forno). There are still lots of places available outside - but it doesn't hurt to make a reservation.

The food was very tasty. There is a lot of choice of pizza, pasta and salads. The prices are - as I understand it - at the upper end. But well, tourism...

Forgot our child's food and brought one too many Kiba that we didn't order. My food was delivered incorrectly so I had to order again. So-so.

Very nice, light-flooded restaurant, nice service. The pizza dough could have been a bit crispier, but otherwise ok. The restaurant has been open the longest in Glowe and didn't cause any problems even without a reservation. That was great!

Located directly at the harbor. Since we've been here before, I really wanted to go back because I really enjoyed it there.

On the first day of vacation we ordered pizza there and picked it up. Despite the resort, a salami pizza for €18 is not without its price and you expect a first-class and tasty pizza. A great expectation turned into a very great disappointment. Unfortunately the salami had no taste at all. Conclusion: Once and never again.

We came here spontaneously and got one last place. It was very loud and we found it quite uncoordinated. The pizzas took a long time to arrive, but as I said, every table was occupied. They tasted very tasty, but in my opinion they were very clumsy and carelessly prepared, without garlic or onions etc... very dry. Maybe it's better not to sit on the aisle or door.

90 minutes and nothing but excuses. Table 106 and the pizza that was ready but didn't find its way to the table. We wanted to have a nice pizza today but after 90 minutes we left because three pizzas weren't ready after asking twice. Neighboring tables where the customers had arrived an hour after us received everything within a maximum of 20 minutes. Although we asked twice, they said our pizzas were ready, but the first time it was after about 45 minutes when countless other customers were served before us and the pick-up service passed us with at least 15 pizzas. After 90 minutes we and the neighboring table left. We didn't have to pay for the drinks. We're really mad at the store and the excuses that it's busy. When we arrived at 5:30 p.m. there were maybe 4 tables occupied. When we left the store was full and countless customers had everything on the menu. You simply didn't have the courage to say - you don't fit in here, leave the store, you don't correspond to the customer base we want and expect. We then went to the Asian restaurant which was 10 meters away. If I had known when I ordered that it belonged to the same store, I wouldn't have bought anything here again. The cellar who had taken the order in the pizzeria came after us and said that it was busy and that no staff could be found at such short notice. But I can't imagine that there have been recessions on this topic for months. Just form your own opinion. We will never go here again because we are not wanted here.

Seats were good and huge!!!! The house wine (Montepulciano) is strong and goes well with pizza. Good service.

The price was appropriate for a vacation spot. The taste was underwhelming. I had the feeling of eating a frozen pizza.

There was no value for money, just price. I can understand 18 euros for a salami in a holiday destination, but not that the pizza tastes like nothing, the salami is the cheapest possible, and the dough was like cardboard With a little salt, pepper and oregano the pizza was still edible. Better get a frozen pizza, it tastes way better than here.

Food was okay, but not outstanding. Prices are juicy. Inside it's pretty full with tables and you feel like you're being watched by the bar staff...

A great Italian restaurant that conjures up really delicious pizza. A visit is absolutely recommended. The service is very friendly and the food and drinks are consistently delicious. We'd love to come back.

We were the first guests that day, but it always took a long time until the staff and later the food were at the table. The food itself was good (Carbonara), the bruscetta was also delicious. Unfortunately, the dessert (panacotta) was obviously not homemade but just a finished product. And I think that's too expensive for €7.99. When paying, the waitress couldn't give out €10 in change and it took at least 10 minutes for her to come back with change. Something like that shouldn't actually happen.

We had 2 generously topped pizzas (mozzarella and gorgonzola/spinach), which were fluffy on the table 10 minutes after ordering. The price was commensurate with the quality and the people in the restaurant were polite, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant itself is large, very bright and high. Recommendation for "il giardino". 👍

We came to this restaurant quite openly looking for a hot meal. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My husband had Jägerschnitzel which was quite appetizing. For the quality and quantity, the price-performance offer was quite positive. I had spaghetti bolognese. Since I can't tolerate many preservatives, eating in a restaurant is always a gamble for me. When I asked, I was assured that everything was made in-house. Sauces from the sauce network (i.e. instant sauces) make me feel very unwell. After the really excellent sauce and the spaghetti aldente, I felt really good. No trace of nausea. I would like to see more restaurants that avoid an above-average amount of chemicals in their food. A visit to this restaurant is definitely planned for our next visit to Glowe. We wish the entire team continued success. Don't let yourself be put off and continue on this path. Definitely a good pizzeria but unfortunately not an ice cream parlour. Unfortunately it was not possible to get an ice cream sundae at the end of February. A pity

Pizza was okay, but the prices for our pizza were absolutely unreasonable, even in this day and age.

Why? There really wasn't much going on, but the floor was still incredibly dirty, which we didn't like. The pizzas were very tasty, but the price was too high. Pizza Salami 17 euros, that's what I call sporty, plus, because it's slightly different, a surcharge of 2.50 euros, you know. 2 pizzas and a bottle of water just under 43 euros, that's no longer understandable. Well, it will probably be better this season?

Unfortunately, as someone who has only visited the restaurant once, I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience with their pizza and pasta. It started with my food being forgotten which caused a significant delay. But that wasn't enough, even the dessert and schnapps that were supposedly on the house couldn't make up for this disappointment. The pizza and pasta I ordered were mediocre at best. It seemed like no care was put into the preparation. The forgotten order was another low point. Not only did I have to wait much longer than expected for my food, but the reaction from the staff was anything but appropriate. Instead of a sincere apology, all I received was a quick apology and a promise that dessert and booze would be on the house to make up for the wait. However, I was later informed that the forgotten main course had already been included in the bill and that the dessert and schnapps had been compensated for. This is unacceptable! It is unacceptable for the restaurant to try to cover up their own mistakes by offering me something that is already due to me. Overall, my visit was a big disappointment. The quality of the pizza and pasta left a lot to be desired, the service was inadequate and the way errors were handled was anything but customer focused. I cannot recommend this restaurant and will consider other options in the future.

When tomatoes aren't even used in a tomato sauce... When everything tastes like nothing... Salt and pepper are foreign words... I have no idea, but it had nothing to do with delicious Italian food. The price is totally excessive for the quality. Oh yes, the service was nice.

Best if you have covid-19 and lost the sense of taste. I ordered some Gnocchi which were absolutely tasteless. I don't believe the chef uses salt in the water used to cook them. The sauce was a greasy, insipid and pale jelly, surely made from tomatoes that never saw the sun. Dishes like that wouldn't even be even considered to be served at my school to avoid the risk of having to scrape the gnocchi off the ceiling... If the chef is Italian, his Mama must spin in her grave... The food was the worst canteen food... uninspired... On top of this, the service was totally not interested. The waitress took my plate with more than half of the food left but did not even wonder if there was anything with it... I do not recommend this overpriced place unless you like rubbish...
