Unfortunately, Ikea's performance continues to decline! A few weeks ago, I bought a Hemnes dresser with a drilled board and a paint job that looked as if it had spent two weeks in the rain. The exchange went smoothly, but I still had to go back to Ikea. Today I wanted to buy a bed and reduce the delivery cost by €20 using a points voucher from the Family feature. After endless back and forth from the checkout to the bed department and then to customer service, no one could help me. My coupon isn't usable (IT apparently needs 48 hours to activate it), and none of the departments could find a solution. Why a coupon takes 48 hours is a complete mystery to me. Who plans their Ikea visit 48 hours in advance? And what if I wisely activate the coupon and then don't buy anything? After all, the coupon expires after 30 days. This system is completely poorly thought out. What a shame. I never used to have annoying experiences at Ikea. Now, twice in one month...

A review of the Swedish restaurant: Positive: - Modernly furnished. - Lots of selection of products when you walk in. - Food tastes good, but could be better. - Good salads. - Good bedside table. - If you can't carry your tablet, there is a tablet cart, similar to a shopping cart in the supermarket. - Handing over dirty dishes and cutlery was very well done. There is an automatic treadmill leading to a laundry room. Negatives: - There is no obvious consistent menu on site, just digital notices on large TVs with pictures and the price. This causes everyone waiting to look around, thereby hindering aisles and the ordering process. - The food portion, preparation and quality is not justified for the price. The peas at Köttbullar were not fully cooked and the plate was carelessly prepared. As we all know, almost everything is frozen. You can eat it, but it could be better. - Many tables and chairs are already heavily scratched or battered. - Large crowds. - Cash register system takes too long. Long lines.

Good, tidy Ikea right on the expressway. Great to get away every now and then. Usually everything is in stock, but it's best to check beforehand if you want to be sure. We always go to the Swedish restaurant for breakfast or lunch beforehand. It tastes great and the prices are reasonable.

Nicer than the IKEA in Großburgwedel, parking on the ground floor or basement is very practical, especially in bad weather. Other than that, the branch follows the chain's standard layout. Of course there is also a popular restaurant that offers the usual IKEA system catering in acceptable quality at acceptable prices.

I went to customer service today and wanted to complain about a pillow because the pillow had been causing me extreme neck pain for some time. I bought the pillow in February. When I was there today, there were five IKEA employees at the counters and there were no customers there. So I went to the first counter and asked if I could come straight away. The curt answer came promptly, I actually had to take a number, but since I'm already there, I could stay. As I said, there were no other customers in the service area! The pillow was clean so far, but had a few cat hairs on the cover, really just a few, no hair carpet or anything like that, but that shouldn't really matter since it's used. The lady asked me to clean the pillows and then I could come back straight away. So I walked 5 meters to the packsation and started picking the individual hairs from the pillow, as mentioned before, it is used. After a good 5 minutes the lady came back and told me that after consulting with her colleague, they couldn't take the pillow back because it had cat hair on it and I'd had it for more than a month. The pain only appeared for about two weeks. During a week of changing the pillow, the pain went away. Afterwards, my doctor also said that it must be the pillow. I just don't understand why IKEA isn't willing to take the pillow back, the pillow doesn't do what it promises. Why do I have to remove individual hairs from a used pillow? Do people complain about IKEA pillows that are blown through once and then repackaged and sold? I won't be buying anything from IKEA anytime soon, the service was much better in the past, but now it's just sad!

The IKEA store in Laatzen - huge and almost always full. However, this takes place over a large area. Sometimes you have to be patient at the checkouts. When it comes to furniture, especially cabinets, this is usually our first stop. We are often here just to browse. The advice here is very good and detailed. The service is also excellent. Unfortunately, there are sometimes longer waiting times. Above all, you will always receive friendly service here. See for yourself, we love coming here.

Yes, I like Ikea, but the fact that you now have to go to the goods department every time you shop and first visit an information station is very annoying. During one of our visits there was only one person standing there and couldn't keep up. The self-pay checkouts work well and the employees are all very helpful and friendly.

Typical Ikea. We looked for a special picture frame, but couldn't find it and decided on a different model. The cash register situation is very confusing and the poultry hot dogs would have taken a little longer. Better instructions would be good for the soft ice cream machine. Otherwise: The cinnamon roll was really tasty and really hot. There is plenty of parking space.

A typical Ikea branch with a restaurant. I think it's good that you can check the stocks in the app. So far it has always been true. You shouldn't necessarily go there on the weekend because it's just full. We always had friendly and helpful employees to answer any questions.

Unfortunately, I had a negative experience with customer service. I bought (among many other parts) four Plasta drawers in 60x40 via self checkout. Apparently there were also wrong 60x55 drawers in the shelf, so although I had paid for four of the 60x40 drawers, I ended up unintentionally taking two 60x40 and two 60x55 drawers with me. Of course I couldn't install the latter in the body. I then went back the same day and returned it to exchange the incorrect drawers for the correct ones. The employee, who was not in a very good mood, then said that this was not possible. An inventory would have to be made first. But I could leave the drawers here and if the inventory goes well, I would get the money back. I then asked what would happen if the inventory was not “positive” and whether I would then have to pick up the drawers again. The employee then said in a relatively unfriendly manner that not only did I not have to pick up the drawers again, no, I actually wouldn't get the drawers back at all and of course I wouldn't get my money either. With the best will in the world, I can screw myself up on my own. Of course, I took the wrong drawers with me, even though I didn't want a refund, just an exchange. A few days later I received an email saying that my complaint could not be understood and that I was unlucky because it was my mistake during the checkout process. Yes, it was basically my mistake - I still expect an uncomplicated exchange from a customer-oriented company. The drawers that I mistakenly took with me are actually more expensive than the ones I actually paid for. This means that refusing to exchange is actually at Ikea's financial expense. Nobody really understands that anymore. Unfortunately, I have not yet received any response to my reply email. It's a shame, that will be the last purchase at Ikea. Otherwise, I have always perceived Ikea to be quite customer-oriented, but I actually don't understand why such a deal is being opened here now.

The last purchase was total crap. After slogging through the store for hours, you finally have to do everything yourself at the checkout. After all that annoying shit, I really felt like it. Scan everything with the crappy hand scanner, put it out and put it back again. Splendid! There are NO traditional checkouts anymore, everything is just self-service. However, you have to take credit for the fact that “Lars” and “Ingrid” were quickly there to help. But in the end it's of no use if you have absolutely no desire to play cashier. It also pisses me off that the company only relies on self-service checkouts. What about the employees who sat at the checkouts? Dismissed? Is there a lot of profit being made here again? I hardly believe that the money saved is reflected in cheaper products. In addition, the quality and durability of the products have decreased. I'm out!

Simply disgusting, 1 star is still too much. I was there with my husband in the late afternoon. In the restaurant area we immediately noticed the covered old breakfast plates with dry salmon edges. One would think that such an offer would at least be sold at a reduced price after 5 p.m. Nothing there. Full price for rotten food from the morning. The same applies to the cake. All the pieces looked terrible, old and dry, or already half gone. So it stayed with a coffee. The table continued with various old stains on the table and along the table divider. The chairs were sticky, all in all dirty and disgusting. I just wanted to wash my hands in the toilet... well, it's a shame there was no soap. Not a single drop. In the men's toilet, my husband told me about feces in two toilets and he didn't want to open the third door at all. There was no cleaning person anywhere that could have been approached or asked for soap. So a Breich bistro should have a certain level of hygiene. I had diarrhea at home, but I can only imagine what the inside of the coffee machine looked like. No thanks, not again!

Since Ikea doesn't differ from one store to another, I rate the general stay in Ikea Expo (Hannover). Clean toilets and branch. In the restaurant, my plate was full of grease on all sides. This has to do with the fact that the plate is passed between three employees. So far, no problem if the employees' gloves were replaced every now and then. At the self-service checkout, an item didn't have a scan code. The employee took it away from me with the words: "This is an exhibition piece, I can't sell it to you!!" She wasn't particularly interested in the fact that I had pointed out to her several times that they were all unpackaged and that the exhibits had a specific marking. She searched for minutes in her Ikea app to prove this to me. My search in the app was completed in seconds! So I took the item back, entered the scan number and the matter was settled. The employees should already know a little about the items, at least how to search in the Ikea app.

Unfortunately only 2☆ to be given, I'm a regular at ExpoPark Hannover, now IKEA is making some renovations and changes, you ask yourself why?? The labels were hung on the ceilings and only marked "straight ahead" as signs; the previous boards standing on the floor were better and easier to read, which was also heard by the customers. The areas were also changed/changed, where if you previously knew which items were where you have to move around and search again. We will also NOT be visiting the Swedenshop anymore, 5 employees are running around on their feet behind the counter to warm up 1 sausage and put a hot dog bun on the counter, we waited 14 (!!!!) minutes for that, there was 1 woman in front of us who only got her order after us... it gets worse: employees in the food distribution sweat, wipe the sweat from their foreheads with their hands and then take the plates in their hands, when spoken to their tone more aggressive: "do you want to order something now or not...", you have cameras everywhere... as an incentive...

It was good for a full day shopping. You can find multiple things under one roof, but you need to have ample time to check different areas that could be tiring. The good aspect is that they also have a kids' place where kids can play and you can focus on your shopping. You can officially hand over your kids, and they will take care so you can focus on shopping. Our kids also enjoyed the play area as they were not interested in shopping. They also have nice restaurant. Food quality is also good there, but it might be overcrowded over the weekend. We had a good experience and we will probably go there again to do shopping and eating.

As a wheelchair user, I always enjoy going to IKEA, it's largely barrier-free and if something isn't accessible, there's always a helpful person to help. The IKEA employees I have met so far are all very helpful and helped wherever they could. After the moving company lost many of the screws and feet of my shelves during my move, I have now ordered spare parts and am really looking forward to being able to rebuild my table and shelves.

We were passing through, so to speak, and took the opportunity to buy a few items that had been on the shopping list for a while. Easily accessible by car, plenty of parking options, even in the shade (in the underground car park), which not every IKEA store has to offer. We skipped the furniture exhibition, I can't write anything about that. After 2 p.m. on Saturdays there was only one line in the restaurant for hot food, but it moved along quite quickly. 2 cash registers occupied, hardly any waiting time. Everything clean and tidy. Market hall and furniture self-service are clear and tidy. The Second Chance Market (formerly Fundgrube) left a bit to be desired. There was hardly any furniture and even fewer "bargains", with the exception of pans in bulk that were about 20% off. (Made of carbon steel, those were really good ones.) For a Saturday at the beginning of the month there are hardly any queues at the checkouts. We had zero waiting time at the express checkouts. The first queue of the day was at the Swedish shop and bistro - but only at the digital ordering terminals. I ordered at the checkout where there was no one in front of me. However, I was apparently not understood on several occasions, neither received the correct products nor the receipt, which was crumpled up and thrown away. Well - it could have been a bad day, it was just after the lunch rush, I don't want to complain. In any case, both the plant-based hot dog and the vegetable version are endlessly delicious and I don't want to go back to the meat sausages from before. Try both - honestly! (I'm an omnivore, but I like to try new things and loved it). Conclusion: Nice visit to the furniture store with small drawbacks. But we would definitely make a detour here again if it was on the way.

In the last few weeks I've been to IKEA several times because I'm moving nearby - and I particularly noticed one employee in the restaurant: Max or Maximilian. This man does a fantastic job! It works incredibly quickly; sometimes it only takes seconds before the ordered food is served. He always remains friendly and greets every guest with a polite “What do you want?” His colleagues also seem to value him very much - they often talk to him when they have problems and he is always helpful. You can tell that he is a great support not only for the customers, but also for his team. The only “negative” (if you can call it that) is that he doesn't know the price of the products when you ask. Normally I only give negative reviews, but here it just has to be said: Top performance

The positive: a typical IKEA store that you know everywhere. The negative: the escalator at the exit has been broken for months, so you always have to take the only way via the slow freight elevator, which sometimes takes forever (does that correspond to the safety regulations?). The coffee is terrible, and Ikea Family members now have to pay 50 cents for a shot of milk, which is anything but very friendly (like it used to be)...

Very friendly service. The ladies at the self-service checkouts deserve special mention. A second shopping cart was brought to us so that I and my daughter just had to re-stack everything so as not to get confused. We made a big purchase. There were enough parking spaces available and the specially equipped loading zone helped us a lot. The Ikea is easy to find despite the construction site on Messestrasse.

There are no complaints when it comes to shopping, but there are a few comments when it comes to eating. On the one hand, there was no plate at the breakfast buffet with everything on it, sausage, cheese and jam, like before. And the finale is still a hot dog, but you couldn't eat it. The skin from the hot dog was so hard, sorry, that was nothing.

Item with low stock according to website was not available on shelf space. However, there was a complete pallet on the shelf directly above. Nobody to be seen far and wide, information not occupied. When asked at the checkout “no pallets are moved during the day” = you went there for free, wasted time, incurred costs. IKEA is worse than ANY hardware store; they always allow you to move pallets in the high-bay area.

I like Ikea and the employees there are so friendly and funny that they just make you feel comfortable. Totally helpful even shortly before closing time, so that I was able to take the piece of furniture I wanted with me. Always an experience. I'd love to come back.

People can have different views on Ikea and the furniture design associated with it. Regardless, the Hanover branch is a typical furniture store of this chain with the well-known offers and services. There are always enough parking spaces available. There are also usually a satisfactory number of cash registers open so that you can pay for what you want quickly. The cafeteria is clean and brightly decorated. The service here is friendly and quick, as in the entire furniture store.

Shopping at Ikea is fine. But during peak hours in the restaurant, one or two more employees would be very helpful. Since the food is served lukewarm and at a snail's pace, it would be nice for the guest if a second cash register was opened at least during this time.

Customer service is really foreign here. Everything is supposed to be available according to the app, but then it's missing and the availability is stated incorrectly, but everything is available in the warehouse, but because I knew it, the employee got a slap in the face from the boss (who, by the way, was the only one who was really helpful, but you could tell that customer-oriented employees have a hard time there 😂). If you don't want to give it out, I'll ask for a subsequent delivery, but free delivery to your home the next day isn't possible either. The best thing I can do is rent a van again and come... and all this hassle for a Pax cupboard that costs €2,000. Really weak.

Everything was excellent. The drinks were adjusted upon request, the staff were extremely friendly, and I also liked the different segments throughout the restaurant, i.e. the football corner, chill corner, darts court, seating at the bar, separate smokers' lounge - the overall picture was perfect. I can only recommend it!

I've known the snack bar for 20 years and it's always been good. For a year now, the food has been bad, the meat is over-fried, and the fried noodles contain more bean sprouts than noodles. Wang Tang soup was too greasy, I burned my mouth, I'm about to report her for assault. I'm not coming back anymore.

Just disgusting, I was there for the fifth time and said several times that I didn't want curry sauce. The whole kebab bag is full of it again. You should be ashamed of yourself for selling people such rubbish, I'll never buy anything from you again. Aside from the fact that the meat is already bottom class, the salad bar doesn't look good either. Thanks for nothing, I'm going to throw a frozen pizza in the oven. Cheeky!
