The food was excellent; we had a starter and dessert, and it was delicious. The service was always friendly and with a kind word. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

It's simply unbelievably great. I always enjoy coming back. I'm there very often, and I'm always given a warm welcome. The food is delicious, and even the smallest special requests are catered to 🙏🏼. I recommend it to everyone 🇮🇹👌🏼

A beautiful restaurant with an idyllic beer garden and plenty of parking. The food selection is fantastic, and there's something for every taste. The prices are absolutely reasonable! We were all very satisfied with the various dishes. The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh, and the food was perfectly seasoned. The service is flexible, attentive, and unobtrusively attentive. We highly recommend it!

We celebrated our daughter's baptism there in 2005, and my daughter's confirmation there in 2019. Everything was perfect. The owners were always attentive, and the celebrations were a highlight. Then the baton was passed on to the next generation. My son's confirmation in 2021 was a fiasco. We were seated in a very unpleasant setting, and the entire menu, which we had previously discussed, was brought out very slowly. We were stuck and couldn't leave. Therefore, the walk-in customers were served briskly both inside and outside. At 10:10 p.m., the first confirmation guests were ready to leave, and we hadn't even had dessert yet. As compensation, we were waived for the champagne reception, which we didn't have to pay for. But I would have liked to, because the celebration still strikes me as unpleasant. Especially since the agreed table decorations, which I had organized and already brought over, were unprofessionally arranged on the table. We haven't been back since the incident, even though we enjoyed our time at La Rocca. Money isn't everything. Quality and professionalism prevail in the long run. Regular customers, not casual customers. It's a shame when one generation builds everything up and the next one trashes it all.

Unfortunately, we as a group had to wait several hours (!) for the food. It finally arrived, and it was half cold. Drinks also only arrived after repeated requests. Everyone else around us received their orders very quickly.

I've been going to La Rocca every now and then for years – mostly in the summer. The food, the Negroni, and Andi are always worth a visit. It sometimes takes a while, but that doesn't bother me. It's great to have this great restaurant in my Gleidingen neighborhood. See you soon!

...so many good reviews in the last few weeks—we (two people, arriving a week ago, around 9:20 p.m., and regulars between 2000 and the end of 2022) must have arrived at a bad time. Two tables in the entrance area were fully occupied (people had already eaten, drinks were still being ordered). In the room behind, the last two guests were just paying, so only we wanted to eat. A young waiter took our order, then brought us drinks and a bread basket with an empty middle plate, which also remained empty. The food also arrived surprisingly quickly—penne arrabiata for me. These looked unusual, but since I was hungry, I started eating—they also tasted unusual, and the sauce was "stringy." There was no waiter in sight, so I headed toward the counter/kitchen, where I found what I was looking for: I asked the older waiter if my meal was "Arrabiata" because it looked and tasted different. Yes, yes, it is Arrabiata, he replied. I meant, but the dish "used" to not have meat sauce... He paused and suddenly said that I was right after all, then apologized and said I had received "Spaghetti Marcchiata" (or something similar) and that it wasn't a meat sauce, but a ham sauce... Aha!! I could swap it, too. As I said, I was hungry and it was already quite late - so I thanked them for the swap, but would finish the dish that had been brought to me. When we wanted to pay, the waiter in question came back to the table, gave us a curt "Ready?" and cleared the table. We finished our drinks, paid, and left, quite disappointed, the restaurant we once loved so much. We'll be coming back for dinner soon with friends who also know the restaurant from before, and I hope that everything goes as planned that evening. Karola

A visit to the LaRocca restaurant is a truly impressive culinary experience. The food is consistently excellent – authentic Italian, prepared with fresh ingredients, and of a very high standard. Whether pasta, pizza, or fish dishes: everything was balanced in flavor, lovingly prepared, and served quickly. Special praise goes to the service: The staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and warm, without being intrusive. You feel completely welcome and well looked after. In conclusion: If you value great Italian cuisine and personalized, friendly service, LaRocca is the place to be. A clear recommendation – and a place you'll gladly return to.

A nice restaurant with a beer garden. The service is really friendly, and we really enjoyed our time there. The food was delicious, too: I haven't had so much fish and seafood at Spaghetti Mare in a long time, and unfortunately, in the hot weather at lunchtime, I couldn't really appreciate it. We ate at La Rocca on a sunny Saturday evening. Unfortunately, there was no server, so we had to wait a long time for our drinks. The food was okay – the pizza was good, and the pasta was too. The pizza bread was a bit dry, but the bread with the pasta was really delicious. The seating is very pleasant, especially in the summer. The food is good – a restaurant you'll gladly return to.

Hello, initially we just wanted a drink, but the waiter was prancing around the table. His behavior towards us was more like he worked in a 5-star restaurant, waving arrogantly. After we asked for the bill three times, there was no response. I waved him over, and he waved back, purely provocatively, for me to come over. I put the money on the table and we left. We lost our appetite to eat there. More show than substance....

First of all, I have to say that the staff is top-notch. Super friendly and fun, too. You can tell they enjoy being guests here. I would come more often if the quality of the food were in tune with today's zeitgeist. Especially with the Italian competition in Laatzen, they should keep up with it, or even do better! The three of us came to the packed La Rocca on a Saturday evening (without a reservation). Nevertheless, we were welcomed with Italian hospitality and a good dose of humor. Nice and friendly staff. The food is good but unreasonably expensive. A starter plate (antipasto) costs 13.00 euros per person. In return, the guest receives a few grilled vegetables. The aperetivo was spilled down our companion's pants while serving. As a thank you, a new additional glass was added to the invoice. When asked, the guest was blamed for the mishap. Prosecco was ordered, bitterino was served due to a misunderstanding. Prosecco was billed. Conclusion: a good Italian restaurant on the outskirts of Hanover with city center prices. Portion sizes are fine regardless of price. Anyone who puts together a menu (antipasti, pasta, secondo and dolce) will pay a fortune for it.

We were there for the first time today. Very nice, friendly staff. The food was very tasty 😋 except for the pumpkin soup, which didn't taste like pumpkin. The waiter came and asked if there was something wrong with the soup as it was still there from all the dishes we had eaten. Very attentive, I explained to him that it wasn't my taste and that you couldn't taste the pumpkin. He asked. When he came he said he had tried it and the soup didn't taste like pumpkin, but he liked it, but not like pumpkin. Very good food and really great service. But now a quick story about how my mother and I got stranded here. It was August 22nd, 2024 and I wanted to drive my mother to her class reunion in Sarstedt. Shortly before Laatzen we decided to get off the motorway because we were still over 2 hours early. Then it happened in Gleidingen. The fan belt on my vehicle broke completely unexpectedly. We were standing right in front of La Rocca. Unfortunately, no one was there at the time. With the last reserves from the vehicle, I dragged myself to the nearest workshop, which is in Sarstedt. They helped me so much there. We got the V-belt express and installed it while my mom was taking a taxi to the school reunion. The V-belt was on right on time. Mom called to see if I could pick her up. No sooner said than done. On the way back we passed La Rocca again. Both very exhausted and worn out. We were welcomed so warmly that we immediately felt at home. The cold drinks came immediately and were extremely good. The food didn't take long to arrive and was brought to the table by the friendly waiter. After the events of the day, it tastes wonderful. There was also a nice conversation with the waiter after the meal. I would be happy to recommend this great restaurant. We sat outside. Everything very comfortable. We would be happy to come by here again when the time comes. Thank you.

Wir waren 20 Jahre Stammgäste im La Rocca. Das Essen war sehr gut. Die persönliche Ansprache des Chefs und der nette Service hat uns gefallen. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt. Nach mehreren Wechseln der Pächter bzw. der Servicekräfte hat das Restaurant seinen Charme verloren. Immer wieder haben wir dem Restaurant eine Chance gegeben. Das Essen hat nun wieder die alte Qualität, die Preise - gerade beim Wein - sing kräftig gestiegen. Uns stört jedoch, dass zwar gefragt wird, wie es geschmeckt hat, fällt die Bewertung einer Speise mal kritisch aus, interessiert das anscheinend nicht. Ein Espresso oder Limoncello aufs Haus währe da eine angebrachte Entschuldigung. Schade. Inzwischen haben wir einen anderen Stammitaliener. Den weiteren Weg nehmen wir in Kauf.

It was our first time at La Rocca with a large group (44). They were very friendly and accommodating when we made the reservation over the phone. On site we discovered that there had been a small misunderstanding during the planning. Understandable with such a large group. But they handled it very well there. Andy (presumably the boss's son) solved the matter professionally, sympathetically and understandingly. At the end we all had the food we wanted. There was pizza, pasta, meat and fish with vegetables and salad on the side. Everything was super tasty. I'm Italian and I can say that finally everything was prepared in the original way without having to be translated into German. We were all satisfied, full and happy. Andy was born for this job. He is attentive, friendly and funny at the same time. In general, the whole team is very friendly, always with a smile and takes this job really seriously. We're not from the area, but when we head back to Hanover, a visit to La Rocca is a "must".

We went to La Rocca again with friends after a two-year break. We were served very friendly and attentively. In addition to the menu, we were informed of the current daily menu. My two friends and I were guests at la Rocca yesterday. It wasn't the first time we were there and just like all the other times before, both the service and the food were sensational! The service is very friendly and focused on the guest! A few weeks ago I was at la Rocca with my family and I really enjoyed dealing with our two children. Children are treated humorously and very friendly! Last night we also had to wait a bit for payment, but the people there can't do more than work...🤷🏼‍♀️ Suggestions for improvement are welcomed and considered, but are not viewed as negative criticism, on the contrary! Guests are even thanked for suggestions. We will be happy to be guests at la Rocca again and again. Whether as a family or as a team of friends… Keep up the great LaRocca team!!!

Went to La Rocca again today with 4 people. As always, everything was very tasty. The tomato soup, the pasta, the pizza and the meat dishes were perfect. If you have culinary homesickness or wanderlust for Italy, La Rocca is the right place for you. The overall package here is simply great! Delicious and rich food with something for everyone, an authentic but also regional range of drinks and super friendly service from the boss himself, who will give you competent advice with a lot of humor and charm if necessary. Plus Italian music in the background. If you close your eyes, you'll quickly find yourself in 'Bella Italia'.

Die Bedienung kann leider nichts dazu das sie nicht geschult sind. Fängt mit Aussagen an gleich nach dem Hallo das Sie ja ein guten Trinkgeld möchten. Getränke sind 1:15h langsam mal angekommen. Es standen Wasserflaschen auf dem Tisch die bereits geöffnet waren. Geschmacklich schmeckte das Wasser nach Leitungswasser und nicht nach dem was auf dem Label stand. Die Apfelschorlen waren keine schorlen sondern plörre. Hier läuft was gewaltig daneben. Essen kam dann nach über zwei Stunden obwohl vorbestellt wurde. Geschmacklich auch eine Katastrophe. Was dieses Restaurant nicht verstanden hat ist das Essengehen eine Experience ist, wo man nett bedient werden möchte in einer angemessen Zeit seine Getränke und seine Speisen bekommt in einer angemessen Qualität. Vielleicht helfen diese Hinweise die Erfahrung zu verbessern.

Unfortunately I had a negative experience on my last visit. The tables weren't completely set, half were basically missing and the waiter tried to come across as funny and friendly, but instead his manner was rather stressful. Unfortunately we waited a long time for our drinks, then a long time for the starter and also a long time for the main course. When I finished my overcooked main course, I was offered parmesan, unfortunately a little too late, and it's a shame that the pasta with four types of cheese consisted of the cream of cheese soup that we had as a starter. Unfortunately, the waiter wasn't open to honest feedback and reacted rather rudely. I also have over five years of experience as a waiter in my professional career and have actually been able to help out in this location, so I can, in good conscience, openly discuss the timing, the service and the negative development here. I can't give the food a bad rating because it wasn't ready after 1.5 hours and then I had to leave. But what the person sitting next to me looked more or less like something I had prepared myself.

Eating there is simply a pleasure.. I've never been disappointed...

We were invited to have a cozy meal together (approx. 20 p.). Our dishes including starters were selected a few days in advance so that there were no shortages. Some of the tables were previously equipped with glasses. The first drinks came after 1 hour. Those who wanted to drink water still had to be patient. When I tried to get them twice, nothing happened, so I went to get them straight from the counter. The starters (delicious) only arrived after a good 1.5 hours. After a good 2 hours, the main courses finally arrived. Some of the guests had other appointments and were unfortunately unable to attend the meal. A guest had already mentioned this beforehand and wanted to take his food packed with him, but it wasn't ready until he left the restaurant 2 and a quarter hours later. The last 2 guests received their food after 2.5 hours after everyone else had already finished. The restaurant wasn't overly busy either. I can describe my meal Saltimbocca as mediocre. A flour sauce covered the dish. A slightly floury, sour wine taste was noticeable, definitely nothing of sage. Not even a leaf for decoration that could at least change the taste of the sauce. The other guests' pizza and canelloni dishes were satisfactory upon request, but just not good. We used to be quite happy there under the different owners. And I'm also aware that a lot can go wrong at the moment, especially due to a lack of staff. But all in all, apart from the guests, the restaurant had a dissatisfied appearance. At least when it comes to time management with pre-orders.

Wir wurden eingeladen um in gemeinsamer Runde (ca.20 P.) gemütlich zu speisen.Unsere Gerichte incl. Vorspeisen wurden einige Tage bereits vorab ausgewählt, damit es nicht zu Engpässen kommt. Die Tische waren vorab teils mit Gläsern ausgestattet. Die ersten Getränke kamen nach 1Std. Diejenigen die Wasser trinken wollten mussten sich noch gedulden. Auf 2maliger Ansprache diese zu bekommen geschah nichts, sodass ich mich aufmachte diese direkt von der Theke zu holen. Die Vorspeissen (lecker)kamen erst nach gut 1,5 Std . Nach gut 2Std.kamen endlich die Hauptspeisen.Einige der Gäste hatten zeitlich andere Termine und konnten dann am Essen leider nicht teilnehmen. Ein Gast sprach das vorher bereits an und wollte sein Essen eingepackt mitnehmen ,welches aber erst nach seinem Verlassen des Restaurants 2einviertel Std.später fertig war. Die letzten 2 Gäste bekamen nach 2,5 Std.ihr Essen nachdem alle anderen bereits fertig waren. Das Restaurant war auch nicht übermäßig besucht. Mein Essen Saltimbocca kann ich als mittelmäßig beschreiben. Eine Mehlsosse bedeckte das Gericht .Ein leicht mehlig ,säuerlicher Weingeschmack war geschmacklich festzustellen , von Salbei definitiv nix. Nicht mal ein Blatt zur Deko ,mit dem man zumindest die Soße geschmacklich verändern könnte. Die Speisen Pizza,Canelloni der anderen Gäste waren auf Anfrage zufriedenstellend aber halt nicht gut. Wir waren dort früher unter anderem Besitzer eigentlich auch ganz zufrieden.Und mir ist auch bewusst das gerade durch Personalmangel momentan einiges schiefgelaufen kann. Aber alles in allem ,war das bis auf die Gäste, ein unzufriedenes Erscheinungsbild des Restaurants. Zumindest was das Zeitmangement mit Vorbestellung betrifft .

Wir fahren oder gern zum Essen hin. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt, nette Bedienung, sehr gutes Essen. Es könnte in der kalten Jahreszeit ur besser geheizt werden.

Von außen sieht das Gebäude unscheinbar aus aber von innen sehr interessant. Reservierung ist angesagt. Das Essen und der Service ist sehr gut

Das Essen hat mir leider komplett nicht zugesagt, verbrannt kann vorkommen. Eine Suppe mit noch Instant Krümeln ein NoGo. Aber eine Carbonara mit Sahne geht gar nicht. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht aber leider bei einem halbvollem Restaurant völlig überfordert und sehr langsam. Wir haben über 10 Minuten auf die Karte gewartet. Mehr Koordination ist hier ein muss. Das Restaurant war innen okay aber nicht berauschend Viel Luft nach oben.

Die Speisen waren sehr lecker, die Getränkeauswahl ist gut, der Service war aufmerksam, freundlich (bisweilen sogar humorvoll) und den Gästen zugewandt. Parkplätze befinden sich direkt auf dem Grundstück des Restaurants oder entlang der Straße.

Hier wird Service noch groß geschrieben. Ein sehr freundliches Personal und dazu sehr Kinderfreundlich. Die beidem Service Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und besonders mit den Kinder. Das Essen war sehr gut. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das hier bei Allergien die Augen nicht verdreht werden, sondern extra darauf eingegangen. Somit konnte man hier Glutenfrei Nudeln essen. Also eine Empfehlung für jeden der auf Gluten verzichten muss. Preisleistung ist hier sehr günstig für die Qualität des Essens.
