IKEA Restaurant in Hamburg

At the IKEA restaurant in Hamburg-Altona, I tried the new KYCKLINGROLL (chicken fillet strips with cranberry BBQ sauce). At €3.50, it's more expensive than a classic hot dog, but unfortunately, the taste was disappointing. The bun was dry, and it lacked the classic hot dog sauce. What was immediately noticeable was that the chicken fillet wasn't crispy; it tasted like it had been kept warm for a long time. While the combination of cranberry and the savory breading was remarkably tasty, the rest of the snack was a letdown. IKEA should definitely improve this, as the price-performance ratio is poor compared to other, cheaper classics. What a shame!

With empty promises, all the customer magnets are being gradually eliminated. First the family store, then Smalland, then certain food items, and now soon the restaurant. Because no breakfast and a 4 pm closing time is practically a deal-breaker. The restrooms aren't exactly up to scratch either. Just take a look at the restaurants at Möbel Höffner and XXXLutz. Do the planners of the IKEA shopping experience think that customers will buy regardless of whether the service is practically nonexistent? If they want my money, they have to offer something, otherwise I'll shop elsewhere.

A nice alternative for a child-friendly "breakfast." Unfortunately, for about two weeks now, the coffee machine has only been producing crema, not just rinse water. The bean hopper is visible from the outside and looks clogged. Free coffee: thank you 😍 but please, please maintain the machine! A big wish: when will you finally have frothed oat milk, like in other places?

Dear Ikea Altona, I really liked the restaurant – it gave the impression of being a place for everyone, with a lively atmosphere and affordable prices. However, I'd like to know why the opening hours have been reduced so drastically? It's no longer really usable for me and my family. That's a real shame.

Unfortunately, the restaurant in Altona closes at 4 pm. That's a real shame and very inconvenient for working people. I would have liked to eat there. Next time, I'll drive a bit further to another branch with longer opening hours. A real pity.

Mass processing, the lines at the checkout are so long that the food ends up cold at the table. Terrible clientele, staff, and atmosphere... that was the last time for me.

★★☆☆☆ The IKEA restaurant itself is known for its cheap, but rather mediocre food – I can live with that because the price is really fair. What's a real problem for me, though, is that there's a constant, high-pitched beeping noise throughout the entire seating area, which is extremely unpleasant. I know many people might not even notice such frequencies, but for me, it's downright annoying – almost a kind of acoustic stress or "terror." I'm wondering if the problem is known and whether it can be fixed. If it's a technical issue, please check it urgently! And if it's actually intended to subconsciously shorten the time spent there, I think that would be a very questionable and inhumane strategy. It's a shame – with a little more peace and quiet, eating here would be much more bearable.

After many years, we wanted to go to Ikea for breakfast again, but we should have left it alone. Barely any choice, 50 cents for a thin slice of cold cuts, stale rolls from the day before (apparently left in the oven too long), a huge stalk in the salmon salad, and it cost €7.50. It looked more like hospital food than cafeteria food. Now I know why I haven't been there in a long time. From now on, we'll go to Caglar in the Rewe Bahnhof Altona supermarket. Great breakfast for a fair price!

I used to enjoy going there regularly, but the new, drastically reduced opening hours have made the restaurant simply unattractive. I now prefer to drive a little further to another IKEA branch, which gives me more time in the restaurant. Besides, I can also drive to IKEA in the evening after work without stress. This means I won't be buying furniture, etc., in Altona anymore, but will instead buy it at the branch, where I can relax and sit in the restaurant.

The staff is very friendly and the food is okay, just Ikea food. The store is otherwise very nicely designed, and you can find everything very quickly.

After an attempted purchase, I had to go to the restaurant and unwind with an evening snack.

Typical restaurant inside Ikea. The food is not surprising, but it delivers. Affordable prices and good size portions. Place for families. Sometimes it is closed without reason or notice or they open later than the assigned time.

The selection is large and the things are inexpensive, you will always be inspired how you can design your own four walls. In between you can treat yourself to something to eat and of course coffee is a must. Great ambience!

Ikea is always worth a visit, especially a nice trip when it gets colder And if you also have the IKEA Famely card you get a free coffee 😉

Köttbullar with mashed potatoes, peas and cranberries. Space at the escalator is great.

I'm so shocked, we still live in Germany... There are only hot dogs with poultry meat because there are so many Muslims and that's all they want. Ok, my husband is also Turkish, but he also prefers the classic pork and beef hot dogs. I find it really cheeky and a reason for me not to go to Altona anymore!!!!!

That was a blast yesterday! Such unfriendly and disgusting behavior from the lady who handed out the pens and pieces of paper for the data in the restaurant yesterday afternoon... No greeting, pieces of paper and pens are thrown in front of us, then she doesn't like what is written on the piece of paper and to top it all off, she started using my first name... when I told her that she shouldn't do that, after all, we aren't Friends! ...she said: .... I could leave the restaurant if I didn't like it. How the fuck can you be so bold with customers!?! 1000% I will not go to this restaurant again. P.S. The lady who then cashed in on us gets 5 stars!!!

Tasty as always - but incredibly inconvenient to get to if you want to grab a bite to eat *before* you shop. I do that all the time at "my" IKEA and was dismayed that I had to trek through several floors of showroom and 2 kinds of elevators just to grab a coffee before I get started.

It's super convenient to have an Ikea in town. The store is good and close to all transportation.

Cheap quality, drinks now contain few natural ingredients and a lot of fillers (mashed potatoes), employees are very friendly and quick,

Quantity instead of class. Explicitly this restaurant has significantly decreased in the quality of the food, or my standards have increased. It's better in smaller Ikeas.

The food tasted like pape and it is very loud, which could change with some improvements.

Why do I keep doing this to myself???? Every time I go to Ikea in Altona, I plan to go to one of the nice restaurants in Ottensen after shopping... and then I end up here again: overpriced Köttbullar with paste mashed potatoes, meaningless green peas and a sauce full of artificial flavors. Plus a standard coffee to which you can add a portion of cold milk, no cappuccino, no latte macchiato... and then a table that was last wiped hours ago. This time it's final: never again!

The food is at canteen level, but quite cheap, so overall it's good value for money. However, you can clearly see how long the salad and fruit lie in the self-service counters. The fact that plant-based schnitzel and plant-based köttbular have now also made it onto the permanent menu is very positive. The attempt to establish the new Recup deposit system is certainly a step in the right direction from an environmental protection point of view. The entire restaurant area is usually busy, so you sometimes have to look for a free seat for a long time. It is also very loud and quite cramped. Feeling good is different. Unsightly: A return of disposable deposit bottles (purchased on site) was only possible after a lengthy discussion with two service employees at the checkout. The statement that no deposit had been paid and that there was basically no deposit on the bottles anyway (despite the disposable logo) was both not only factually incorrect but also quite cheeky. Here Ikea should perhaps take a closer look at the text of the Packaging Act and (re)train its checkout staff accordingly.

If you have the time and energy just pop in here and do your window-shopping inside the store....you may well find the household items that you are looking for. I advise you to use IKEA's own notes taking services so that you don't overspend and end up buying things you might rarely use. Yes : there are bargains to be had in every department but I need to put the brakes on impulse- buying and you might too ! I heartily recommend taking some time out to visit the restaurant on the first floor where you can enjoy a coffee and relax. Peruse your shopping notes and you will gain from the shopping experience ( if you can afford it . that is) !

Die Fahrstühle muss man verstehen vor allem als Rolli fahrer.immer am besten Mitarbeiter fragen !Restaurante fast immer das gleiche.warum nicht mal rödspäta mit remuladen Soße oder öfter cristiansen sehr gesund.die ab funktioniert nicht immer haben dafür die gute alte Karte.! Parkgebühren ok.allerdings mit Rolli nicht immer machbar 3 std.sind mal zu wenig

Kaffemaschinen funktionieren teilweise nicht, seit Monaten kein Kakao, Personal pampig....kann man sich sparen.

A cozy place with good ambience to have meals and meet friends. Affordable prices for main course and my favorite goes to the Erdbeeren ice cream 👍 two important things for the improvement are adding more options for gluten free meals and charging stations bitte!

Dort ist es sehr gut organisiert. Es schmeckt und Preisleistung Verhältnis sehr realistisch.

Prima, schmeckt Preis/Leistung passt. Keine langen Wartezeiten. Sehr gute Anbindung vom Parkhaus zu IKEA.

Freundliches Personal, geniesse immer wieder leckeren Cafe mit warmer Zimtschnecke. Klasse, dass es so geräumig ist und viele Plätze gibt.

Maybe not the best food ever, but really good price/performance and one of the really good options you can find in the area for lunch/dinner.

Toller IKEA mit guter Auswahl Parkhaus ist vorhanden

Ganz was besonderes...tolles Ambiente mit den 3 Etagen und sehr nette Angestellten. Nicht so eine Massenabfertiggung.
