A lovely old spot for a rest stop. You can enjoy a coffee or a meal here. The menu is straightforward. Cakes and tarts are also served. The service is friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable.

We came especially from the Hintertaunus, in the old days they said... Hinterm Berg, meaning the Saalburg😄 Today we went to eat there again. The boss is very accommodating and does everything she can, even special requests are accommodated. Beautiful ambiance in the forest, everything very clean and pleasant. The tables are also not as close together as at some of the competitors. We recently tried the burger, a huge piece, a real treat. But first we had a mixed salad with great dressing. Today we tried the burger... with real meat (not vegetarian), it's not just a thin slice but a really well-cooked meat filling, the seasoning is gigantic. The dough is also nothing to do with the soggy, soft rubber things you get from fast food, baked on crispy... That's how it should be. The filling is also not to be sniffed at, especially the sauce, delicious. But there's nothing left on the plate either. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy something special. And because everything was so good, we treated ourselves to wild berries in sauce with vanilla ice cream for dessert. The hot berries slightly thawed the cold ice cream, creamy and delicious. Thus ended a lovely evening at the Hardtwald Hotel. We'll definitely be back... The Weisers

A very cozy little restaurant. I only had a few drinks: a Radeberger and an excellent grappa. I can't comment on the food. A personable chef and pleasant, very friendly service. A visit is a pleasure.
