One of the best Italians in this area! Wonderful pasta! Super nice service! And very comfortable! The antipasta starter was delicious! We had a Primitivo. There were also olives and bread. The pasta tartufo and the penne with veal ragout are highly recommended. The tiramisu was also very tasty.

In the middle of Friedenau, far away from the hustle and bustle of Schloßstrasse, very cozy and of course delicious. Nice garden area.

Nomen est omen. Wir sind leider wieder hungrig aus dem Mortifame gegangen. Die Pastaportionen sind für 17,00 € zu klein , um davon satt zu werden. .Die Bedienung war auch schon mal freundlicher, obwohl viele Tische im Nebenraum frei waren , mußten wir uns an einen winzigen Tisch quetschen. Schade, wir sind immer gerne zum Mittagessen hierher gegangen. Aber nun reicht es bzw. eben nicht!

A restaurant where you are very well received by the friendly Italian owner and waiters. The fusilli with veal and mushrooms was excellent and the lemon panna cotta too! Cozy atmosphere.

Nice little genuine italian restaurant

We reserved a table for two today. Unfortunately, when we entered the restaurant we were not greeted with: “Good evening, may I take your jacket from you”. Special with: The table is not finished yet. Not a big problem. We waited outside for so long. When it started, the service staff rushed forward to show us our place. However, it took us a while to organize our wardrobe. However, this meant that we didn't see exactly which table was reserved for us. We sat down where we thought we would be. Shortly afterwards, the waitress across three tables warned my partner with a raised index finger to sit at the neighboring table. This table is reserved. Basically okay, but we found the tone and choice of words to be very unpleasant. Shortly afterwards we left. We didn't find the atmosphere and the way we were treated particularly suitable for Valentine's Day. We didn't feel understood as valued customers. The gentleman at the counter shrugged his shoulders as we said goodbye.

Thank you very much for the quick service and delicious food! We were late and wanted to eat something good. Not only was our table reserved for us, but the food was also served very quickly so that we could still drive off to the Philharmonic Hall on time. We are very grateful for that! The food was excellent and like in Italy. We had the Arrabiata, Tartufo and Bolognese, with fresh bread. The restaurant is authentically Italian, the staff are warm and very accommodating. We've already eaten here three times and next time we'll definitely plan a little more time to enjoy the good food even more :) Mille grazie and see you soon!

Delightful, cozy, authentic Italian resto. No gluten free pasta, but they did have a delightful fish and great wine by the glass.

I Mortifami is an honest and genuine Calabrian/ Italian restaurant. When you arrive you get the feeling of being invited to your friends' home, with the commitment of mutual respect that comes along with such an invitation. The vegetable antipasti is heavenly and is a must for me every time I visit. I mortifami makes, alongside with one other restaurant in Berlin (that I know of) the best homemade pasta in town. Some dishes are fixed on the menu and a few are turning over, depending on season and accessibility. They have a small but attractive selection of meat and fish and a great and affordable selection of wines to go with whatever you decide to eat. Since we live relatively near to the restaurant we come quite often and we love to bring friends. Even our many Italian friends - who are picky with Italian food abroad - appreciate the true feeling of "home" being provided by the room, menu and staff at I Mortifami. So - the place is very much recommended by me. Especially if you want a genuine Italian food experience in Berlin!

On Thursday, October 10, 24, my husband and I visited this wonderful Italian restaurant and were amazed from the start. Our long search for an authentic Italian has finally come to an end. From the warm welcome to the last bite, it was a completely successful experience. The menu offers a great selection of traditional dishes that are prepared with a lot of love and freshness. Our dishes were an absolute delight. We would particularly like to emphasize the attentive service. The staff are friendly, courteous and manage to convey a family atmosphere that rounds off the experience. We are sure: we have found our new favorite Italian restaurant and will definitely come back regularly. Absolutely recommended for anyone who appreciates real Italian cuisine!

Fantastic to sit outside in summer, small but very cozy and the food is delicious, my favorite is the Pasta Amatriciana.

Can’t speak about their food as we went on 14.09 to find out that it was close. They had a little announcement printed on the door but had not updated their opening hours on Google, where it said it was open.

One of the best and tastiest Italians in Berlin. The boss is great and the chef brings the food to the regular customers. But it's difficult to grab something spontaneously without a reservation...forza I Moirtifami ♡

The host was really nice to us, rebuilt his “lounge” and gave us a great place to sit in the garden. The menu is really nice: pasta and it's really delicious! The anti pasti for one person is easily enough for two :)

This is food and the wine are good. The service was mostly bad, unfriendly and derogatory.

We came to I Moirtifami on a recommendation and had a wonderful evening. The restaurant was very busy and you should definitely make a reservation. When the weather is nice you can sit outside on the terrace and there is a happy atmosphere. We were immediately warmly welcomed, served quickly and the food was excellent. We were particularly impressed by the dishes from the daily menu such as medallions with ricotta and figs or pasta with seafood. The price was also absolutely reasonable for the quality. We'll definitely be back!

Here you will find a real Italian restaurant with Italian staff. The restaurant is small but nice and also has a terrace. The various dishes (starters and main courses) and the desserts are divine. The capo works fully and is always in the mood for jokes. The restaurant is absolutely recommended.

Great food and great service. We are very pleased to note the attention to the quality of both the ingredients and preparation, as well as the customer experience. Advice: ask what the dishes of the day are, let them advise you and always take the desserts made by them.

Die Tageskarte enthält immer ausgefallene und sehr gute Gerichte aus den verschiedenen Regionen Italiens. Eine tolle und erlebnisreiche Abwechslung gegenüber dem Standardeinerlei der sonstigen italienischen Restaurants. Und die Weinkarte enthält viele Leckereien zu absolut angemessenen Preisen. Der Geheimtipp in Friedenau - aber unbedingt 2-3 Tage vorher einen Tisch reservieren!

A small, cozy restaurant outside of the hustle and bustle in Friedenau, which seems to be run by a family, is definitely recommended. You can sit inside or outside in a nice atmosphere and the price-performance ratio is very good. My white wine and my pasta scampi, as well as the homemade ice cream afterwards, were very good quality and tasty.

I'm reporting on a visit at the end of July 2024. The restaurant is really stylishly furnished - you immediately feel like you're on vacation in Italy. From the regular menu I ordered pasta with fennel salsiccia. The dish came quickly and looked appetizing. However, the sauce was way too spicy for me. My mouth burned so much from the chili that I couldn't taste any of the fennel anymore and so the actual "soul" of the dish was lost. In contrast to the Arrabiata, the menu does not mention such spiciness; I would have wished that. I would have liked to tell the service what was bothering me, but despite there not being too many guests around 1:00 p.m., no one came anymore - I almost expected a quick inquiry about whether everything was tasty. I was invited to dinner and so I had no contact with the staff at all. Hence my criticism now online.

The Osteria I Mortifmai in Friedenau is a great Italian restaurant that I have been visiting regularly for many years. You have the feeling of being directly in Italy. The dining room is small, but very comfortable. The small garden in front of the store is a real highlight in summer - you won't want to get up. The operators are real Italians, not restaurateurs from other backgrounds pretending to be Italian. The service is typically Italian – a little louder and wilder, but always warm. The dishes are consistently delicious. Particularly recommended are the truffle pasta for 16 euros a day (19 euros in the evening), which is an absolute blast, as well as the salciccia pasta. The prices are absolutely reasonable and justified for the quality of the food and the authentic ambience. A visit to Osteria I Mortifmai is always a pleasure!

After discovering the additional recommendations offered in addition to the standard menu, I really enjoy going there again. The quality of the standard card is also very good, but I would like some variety. And the recommendations always have very nice surprises in store. In summer you sit in the friendly garden, but I also really like the interior.

We love the restaurant in our immediate neighborhood and don't want to be without it anymore. Both the owner Achille and the entire staff come from Bella Italia. The menu includes various pasta variations as well as meat and fish dishes that change daily. Was für eine unerwartete Entdeckung, wir sind begeistert! Schon bei der Antipasti war uns klar, dass das Essen hier qualitativ ganz weit oben rangiert. Die Pasta war dann ebenfalls hervorragend und das Tiramisu einfach ein Traum- so luftig und leicht... Das Team war aufmerksam, humorvoll und sympathisch, das Lokal geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit familiärer Atmosphäre. Fazit: Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und fantastisch gegessen - und kommen definitiv wieder!

Man betrittt das "Mortifami" mühsam, weil alle Tische gepackt voll besetzt sind mit Liebhabern guter Italienischer Küche. Der Service ist fachkundig, schnell und charmant italienisch- muttersprachlich. Das Risotto war wunderbar "al dente" mit einer dezenten Safrannote. Die Scampi wird komplett mit Kopf serviert, nur kurz auf den Grill angegegart, sodass es eine (Gaumen-) freude ist zu wissen, dass das arme Scampi nicht zweimal sterben musste. Dem Risotto die rechte Salz-und Pfeffernote zu verabreichen, wird dem Gast überlassen. 👏 BRAVO E TANTE GRACIE für einen wundervollen Abend, im "Mortifami"!

unglaublich lebendiges italienisches Restaurant. Es empfiehlt sich vorher zu reservieren. Sehr gute und ausgewählte Weine, sehr gutes Essen mit guten Portionen - nicht ganz günstig, aber das ist es wert, weil tolle Auswahl an Speisen (also keine riesige Speisekarte, was auch überhaupt nicht not tut). Wir waren zu 6. hier und konnten beieinander probieren: jedes Gericht war phänomenal gut! Das sehr freundliche Personal ist das i-Tüpfelchen. Zu 22uhr wird das Restaurant geschlossen - zieht man halt noch etwas weiter oder läuft durch die schönen Straßen Friedenaus nach Hause. Wir kommen gerne wieder und freuen uns darauf

Really nice place, one of the hidden gems in Berlin. The dishes are great and the ambiance has a great tone. It ticks all the cases to be an authentic restaurant without the pretentious vibe. I can only recommend to at least give it a try. Personally I will try again :)

Amazing authentic Italian food (we tried spaghetti carbonara and lamb cutlet in bergamotto sauce, other times pasta tartuffo and Pasta mit Rehragout), not a germanized version. The service is nice, the food took a bit but no extreme and the restaurant was full. Cards accepted. Happy to have discovered this restaurant and will definitely return! Edit: even after a few visits to this restaurant trying out various dishes I can confirm the food is amazing and authentic - and also open for a lunch. Our new favorite in the Kiez. 👍🏿🍝

Wollte schon ewig hierher, gestern hat es endlich geklappt. Hatte die Rigatoni mit Lammragout von der Tageskarte - was für ein Genuss. Dazu ein sehr leckerer Weißwein . Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt. Ich war nicht zum letzten Mal dort.

Eine absolut authentische kleine italienische Trattoria mit einer kleinen, aber feinen Speisekarte. Sehr liebevoll angerichtet und sehr lecker. Und gute Weine. Also eher eine Osteria? Egal, es geht da jedenfalls auch sehr fröhlich und herzlich zu. Wir haben den Abend sehr genossen. Man sollte unbedingt reservieren.

Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Ds Essen war gut jedoch die Portion recht übersichtlich. Wir würden aber wieder kommen da es uns dort gefallen hat.

Gerichte werden frisch gekocht und schmecken sehr gut. Jede zwei Tage gibt ein neues Tagesmenü. Es gibt ein sehr schöner Außenbereich, wo man im Sommer gemütlich sitzen und das Essen genießen kann.

Normalerweise liebe ich diesen kleinen lauschigen Ort, vor allem im Sommer. Dieser Abend wurde durch eine Aushilfskraft zum Negativerlebnis. Unglaublich unfreundlich, man hatte das Gefühl, man müsste sich entschuldigen, als Gast dort gewesen zu sein und ihre Zeit in Anspruch genommen zu haben. Schon das Getränk wurde uns mir deren Worten serviert " Mehr gibt es davon aber nicht, ich habe keinen Prosecco mehr", und das in einem Ton, der zu wünschen übrig lässt... So ging das weiter und auch die Damen am Nachbartisch äußerten ihr Entsetzen.
