I Medici in Bonn

Good service, good drinks, good food (the goose was fantastic), and a lovely atmosphere (even with live piano accompaniment this evening). We're always happy to come back.

Here, you pay for the ambiance. The value for money is completely out of proportion. The food and drinks are expensive, and the quality is mediocre at best. Anyone with vegans is in trouble. A pile of vegetables, with no other side dishes on the plate and no sauce, costs €20 – disgraceful! You had to ask for the drinks menu after the appetizer was already on the table. Conclusion: Not recommended.

Not only was the Italian restaurant a revelation for me, but the castle dating back to the 13th century itself was too. The view from the restaurant terrace over Bonn was outstanding and extraordinary. The castle itself is in very good condition and well worth a visit. Unfortunately the museum was closed when I was there, so I can't say anything about it. Nevertheless, for me it is a great place that is definitely worth a visit. I would love to come back and try out the hotel cuisine. This is only my personal opinion and my personal experiences. I can only advise you to visit this place yourself. It can be reached via a very small access road between the two motorways, but you do have to exit the motorway, which is a bit tricky but definitely worth finding.
