food was great!!! I was deciding between this and the one beside (Umami) and decided to come in to Huong Que. Coming from Asia, I find their food to be very authentic and hearty and they have more vegan and vegetarian options than when I was in Vietnam 😂. Staff and chef are all Vietnamese. We had the Mi Wantan Chay (Vegan Wonton Noodle Soup with Dumplings), Pho Bo (Beef Noodle Soup) and Mango Salad (Vegan). If you’d like it more spicy, they offer chilli oil and chopped chilli. We also had the iced coffee with sweetened milk which tasted great and iced coffee with coconut milk which was too bitter for me. Note that the coconut milk option comes unsweetened and unfortunately only granulated sugar is available so it doesn’t dissolve well in iced coffee. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend it to other vegetarians, vegans and anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese food!

The street where Huong Que is located is lined with many restaurants, but this Vietnamese gem truly stands out. I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food and drinks were prepared incredibly quickly, and everything was fresh and flavorful with reasonable price. I especially enjoyed the Golden Beef dish paired with a refreshing drink—it was delightful! The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and inviting, making the entire visit even more enjoyable.

Erstklassig. The atmosphere and staff were great, I ordered crispy duck, it is the best I have tasted so far, the taste is well balanced and great joy. I tried the bonbuna fon whatever it’s called and it is very tasty as well however the crispy duck is always my favorite. I will definitely come again.

The food is awesome! The place is so nice, the food was served fast, and the prices are quite good! Totally recommend it! Although, the only "problem" (it wasn't a problem at all) was that the waitress didn't speak fluent English, so it took a while to take our order (we were a big group), but the guy and the whole staff were so patient and kind with us (we arrived without a reservation and they find a table for us all together).

We really enjoyed the curry. The portions are also very generous and the service was also great. In terms of price, everything is completely okay. We will definitely come by again.

Simply one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Crispy duck with peanut sauce and lots of vegetables. The portion size was very generous too, as opposed to many other restaurants. Service was friendly and quick. Can't say much about the decor as I was too busy enjoying the food!

Heartfelt recommendation! You can have a delicious, inexpensive meal here, especially at lunchtime. The starters (spring rolls, summer rolls, dumplings etc.) taste very good. There are many other dishes. So far we've always sat outside but it looks cozy inside too.

With so many mediocre Vietnamese restaurants, Huong Que remains both a very nice place and a place where you can ear great food at reasonable prices.

I can definitely recommend visiting this Vietnamese restaurant! The food is very tasty and there are many exciting dishes to choose from. The atmosphere is super cozy and it really feels like a homely place. The service can be a little slow, but they are so nice and attentive that it is worth the wait.

Service, food, ambience - everything was great. I went there by chance and actually had another restaurant in mind, but all the dishes on people's plates looked so good that I turned around again. The service staff is super nice and the food doesn't take long. I had dumplings with shrimp and a rice noodle salad with shrimp. Both super tasty. Contrary to my expectations, the salad looked quite small at first, but it filled me up very well. Super deliciously seasoned, crunchy vegetables, I like! 😊 With the whole thing there was a homemade lemonade “Guava Drink”, which was also very tasty and not super sweet.

Amazing Vietnamese food and good value for money. I had one of their lunch specials which was packed with fresh vegetables and really delicious. Portions are huge and prices are affordable. The menu has lots of interesting options to choose from, including vegan dishes. The restaurant is very informal, the service was quick.

Meestal ben ik niet zo heel kritisch op eten, maar de ervaring bij dit restaurant was behoorlijk teleurstellend. Smakeloos is het woord dat hierbij past. Noedels met groenten en rundvlees. Niks geen Aziatische kruiden of smaken. Tempura kip was een schnitzel in een laffe currysaus. Er zijn echt betere restaurants in de buurt, zoals Monsieur Vuong.

We ate at Houng Que on Bergmannstrasse for the first time. The food was great, quick and beautifully prepared. The waitress who served us was very friendly and recommended a lot of things that suited us. I would like to thank you for the lovely evening and for the wonderful service. We will be back.

Very good food - catastrophic service The food and ambience are a 10/10. I had the Bun Bo Bam Bo which was absolutely delicious. The mango sticky rice is also highly recommended. I wanted my dish with a different type of pasta - that was rejected & the waitress was super annoyed and said it would taste good with other pasta anyway. When we asked for napkins, they threw some at us in annoyance. The guests next to us didn't have any either and took some because they didn't want to ask anymore and were hit by the waiter for it.

We went approximately three or four times. We found the food to be quite good - not cheap, but not very expensive either. I think that, compared to the food, the most expensive thing is the drinks (for example, a Mango Lassi costs at least €5 approx). There is a fairly friendly waitress who has served us twice so far (honestly, she never smiles but at least she has a friendly manner). Unfortunately, the same does not happen with the other waiters: once, we were served by one who did not want to let us pay by card even though we wanted to pay by that means - she told us, in a very bad way, that they preferred cash. But that was not all! Then he had the nerve to ask for a tip - with the tone in which he spoke to us, he was almost forcing us - but, after such treatment, we did not agree. Still, we wanted to return one more time to see if we had better luck with the service this time. We were served by a guy who was nice, but he charged us for tap water without first letting us know that we would be charged for it! Those things ARE NOTIFIED. But, furthermore, it is very unintelligent to charge for tap water to customers who spend around €15-20 each (and who, furthermore, are more or less regular customers). A small gesture, an attention as small as giving tap water to your customers without charging them for it, can make your customers feel comfortable and continue wanting to come back - and even bring new friends to get to know the restaurant. Be more generous and intelligent. It is full of good restaurants in Berlin, they should take a little more care of their clientele. I hope you can modify these aspects, so we will be happy to return.

I have always come to this restaurant but today, what happened has been quite indecent and uncomfortable. The waitress has told us that the service was not included in the bill (in Germany it is included and throughout the EU) and that an extra 10% has to be paid. He has treated us as tourists, and I told him that I was thinking of leaving a tip but not anymore, since he has lied to me. Coming every 3 weeks I don’t plan to come back anymore, it’s one more way to scam the consumer that has already happened to me in several places in Berlin and it’s wrong. Tips are optional and not a mere way to ask and pressure the diner.

I only give the 2 stars for the ambience and the fast service. We were there on the weekend. Firstly, my drink arrived incorrectly. I noticed that straight away from the color. If you choose wild berry, you won't get a yellow lemonade, but a red one. Secondly, the food wasn't tasty. I don't know if it was the cook's fault, but there was no sauce, nor was it salted or anything. Now we both have stomach pains since eating. I don't find that funny at all. Ah and way too expensive.

Yesterday I was at the huong-que on Bergmannstr. for a long time. eat. I had vegetarian duck in mind the whole time. But then I decided on “Spicy Vegi Basil”. And that was really awesome. I already go out for Asian food regularly. But this dish was definitely the best I've had at an Asian restaurant in a long time. The vegetables were extremely tasty, everything was still a bit crunchy. And the whole dish had just the right amount of spiciness. The soy chicken and tofu were also very tasty. I was totally thrilled. This will probably be my favorite here. Will definitely come back soon. Can only recommend you. Thank you for the great food.

A superb discovery. All is well. We want to try everything which is a real problem. There are as many choices for vegetarians and vegans as there are traditional dishes, which brings everyone together.

A very cute restaurant in the heart of Bergmannkiez. We went there on a Sunday so it was quite full and unfortunately they were a bit short on staff, so it took a while before our order could be taken. But after that the food arrived quite fast and it was very delicious. (I recommend the Vegan Pad Thai)

This uniquely delicious and authentic Vietnamese restaurant is located in the hip Bergmannkiez. All of the food is deliciously fresh, from the soups to the rice dishes to my personal favorite, the summer rolls. Going to the toilet is like traveling through Vietnam. The music and atmosphere completely convinced me.

Great original Vietnamese food, large portions. It's pleasantly quiet in the basement, so you can have a good conversation. Only the stools without backrests are a bit uncomfortable in the long run.

The Bun Bo Nam Bo is awesome. Super tasty, large portions, price is right. I can only recommend. Had a ginger tea which was also good. I was surprised at how big the restaurant is and that there is still a basement.

Wir waren früher sehr gerne hier, aber nachdem wir jetzt längere Zeit nicht hier waren, war es heute ein wirklich enttäuschender Besuch.. gleich zu Beginn fragten wir, ob wir unten sitzen könnte und da wurde uns nur schnippisch geantwortet:“ Könnten Sie schon, wäre aber für uns mehr Arbeit.“ Also setzten wir uns oben hin. Ich bestellte eine Sprite. Nach kurzer Zeit kam die Kellnerin zu uns und sagte sie hätten keine Sprite. Das Essen war nach nicht mal 10 Minuten da, was für uns nicht darauf schließen lässt, dass das soeben frisch gekocht wurde. Es war okay, aber man schmeckte, dass das Frittierfett dringend gewechselt werden müsste. Ich fragte außerdem nach etwas Majo zu meinen Süßkartoffelpommes, die sie auch wieder nicht hatten. Erst auf meine Nachfrage, schlug die Kellnerin mir zwei andere Alternativen vor. Wir verlangten die Rechnung und wollten mit Karte zahlen. Als die Kellnerin mir den Bon über 41,80€ zeigte und nach ca 2 Minuten immer noch nichts in ihr Kartenlesegerät eintippte, fragte sie mich wie viel sie denn mit Tip eintragen dürfte. Nachdem ich meinte 41,80€ tippte sie es beleidigt ein und für uns war klar, dass wir bei diesem „Service“ nicht noch einmal herkommen werden.

Unfortunately, I'm disappointed. food worse than average. The dish for about 20€ was very bad, the salad, if you can call it lettuce, a few leaves and 5 cherry tomatoes with a few pieces of whole shrimps dripping with fat and the chicken that was fried in the same oil soaked in the taste of fish, a nightmare. A few euros more and you can eat in an exclusive Vietnamese restaurant and leave full and satisfied. Very expensive and tasteless. I do not recommend

Wirklich ein tolles vietnamesisches Restaurant. Sehr schön eingerichtet, da fühlt man sich gleich wohl. Nette Bedienung und wirklich sagenhaft leckeres Essen und große Portionen. Auf alle Fälle ein (oder mehre!) Besuch(e) wert :)

Kuchnia wietnamska niby autentyczna, ;( ... Pho nie przypominało prawdziwego ani trochę. Nie podano ani kolendry, ani czosnku marynowanego, (nawet baaardzo się zdziwili jak poprosiliśmy), o limonkę już nie chciałam prosić bo dopiero bylaby konsternacja! Wg menu powinna być bazylia tajska i oczywiście nie było. Do pho za to dali kiełki czego w Hanoi nigdy nie widziałam. Słaba obsługa, restauracja chyba nastawiona na hurtowe jedzie .. Szybko byle jak i do przodu. P. S. W moim sosie peanat znalazłam kawałek pomidora....

Das Huong Que liegt direkt am Rosentaler PLatz, hat eine sehr gute Karte und einen fantastischen Service. Mann kann auch gut Essen mitnehmen. Es gubt auch enige Gerichte auf einer Hot Plate, lecker !!!

Da ich Pho liebe wollte ich im Huong Que diese natürlich testen. Leider war sie geschmacklos ohne die typischen Gewürze, die Limette und der Chili den man normalerweise dazu bekommt fehlten gänzlich wenigstens war genügend Koriander enthalten. Schade 💁‍♀️

Quite nice atmosphere. Love the decor. Ordered tan tan noodles out of curiosity. And to my surprise it was really good! Especially the grilled pork. Highly recommended.

Das Essen war sehr lecker....besonders das Hühnchenfleisch mit einer knusprigen Hülle aus Mandeln und/oder Sesam hat mir besonders gut geschmeckt. Auch die dazu gereichten Soßen waren gut gewürzt, aber auch nicht zu scharf. Eben typisch vietnamesich. Der Reis war auch locker und auch das Gemüse nicht zu weich gekocht.

Die Vorspeisen waren alle lecker und ein wahrlicher Genuss. Auch die selbst hergestellten Kaltgetränke sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen. Die Hauptspeisen hingegen waren Monsterportionen, und das Fleisch war doch sehr durchzogen. WEas hingegen gar nicht geht, dass die eine hälfte die Hauptspeise bekam, und dann kam nichts mehr. Erst auf mehrmaliges Nachfragen bekamen dann (gefühlte stunden) später auch unsere Freunde den Hauptgang.

Leicht improvisiert gestaltete vietnamesische Küche, die alten Traditionen sehr frei folgt. Die Preise sind relativ gehoben. Dafür sind die Portionen auch groß.

Food was good but the behaviour of one staff member was atrocious. Following our meal I went downstairs to use the bathroom. A young man who worked at the restaurant was waiting outside and when I went into the stall he began berating me, repeating the phrase "don't make it dirty" and asking me inappropriate questions such as if I was "sitting or standing". He was becoming quite aggressive and I felt highly uncomfortable and left the restaurant as quickly as possible. A friend I was travelling with also had a similar encounter with the same member of staff.

Wir waren zu zweit und haben uns aufgrund der Witterung entschlossen, uns an einem Tisch drinnen hinzusetzen. Das Personal ist sehr schnell und freundlich. Wir haben beide etwas anderes gegessen und hatten ein unglaubliches Geschmackserlebnis. Hier werden Gewürze verwendet, die man in anderen vietnamesischen Restaurants schon lange nicht mehr vorfindet. Dieses Essen war wirklich autentisch! Der Innenraum könnte allerdings freundlicher ausgestattet werden. Ich fand es etwas düster und denke, wenn man über jeden Tisch einen von den an der Decke hängenden Lampen anbringen würde, wäre es schon ein wenig heller und freundlicher. Die ganze Atmosphäre würde durch anderes Licht gemütlicher wirken.
