Saigon Cuisine in Berlin

We were seated, our order taken, the food served, and then the plates cleared: no smiles from the waitstaff, no questions like, "How is it?", "Would you like anything else?", "Were you satisfied?": Simply uninviting and without charm, not recommended. The food was okay, but nothing special; the service was just superficial!

The vegan beef option was very well done and tasty, but the broth in No. V6 unfortunately tasted strongly of soap. :/

Fantastic! I've been to the restaurant several times and am always very satisfied. All dishes are available in vegetarian versions, so everyone will find something there. The restaurant is very pleasantly decorated and the service is very good. However, I would recommend making a reservation in advance as the place is always pretty full. A great restaurant, authentic flair and a great recommendation for anyone who is a fan of Asian cuisine.

Hair in the food... No apology. No accommodations. Nothing. Even though we've eaten there often. Very unfriendly and rude waiter!!! The competition on Kantstrasse is happy.

The dishes are excellent. The wines are so-so. However, the staff has completely declined! They serve in Adidas flip-flops, make no contact with the customer, and are completely distracted! They place your drink on your table without enthusiasm and without eye contact. A courteous or friendly gesture costs extra. A thin smile is only given at the cashier's counter. It used to be cooler. If you want to fill yourself up, it's okay. We've been regulars for years and are becoming increasingly disenchanted. We've been looking for alternatives, of which there are plenty on Kantstrasse.

The staff was definitely excellent! But the food was okay. The spring rolls were sturdy and crunchy - but there are definitely better ones. Bún Bò (Nam Bô) Nothing to complain about, but the sauce tasted like sweet and sour sauce. Celery in it wasn't that great. Hardly any herbs. Meat was too chewy - just took some gum home with me. A bit too expensive for that, too, at 17.90 or so.

Service was very slow. Everything took forever. I ordered a chicken curry. The food was cold and the chicken was very tough.

Yesterday, we were unfortunately very disappointed by the service. The service was unfriendly and ignorant. My two other friends and I even waited over an hour for our appetizers. The restaurant wasn't full at around 6:00 p.m. Other guests were getting their orders ahead of schedule. No one came to pay until we finally got up and went to the front counter. There, we were ignored again and had to wait a long time. It's just a shame for such a restaurant. Not again!

The Saigon Cuisine restaurant is within walking distance of S Charlottenburg and U Wilmersdorferstraße. Since there are numerous restaurants on Kantstraße, choosing isn't always easy. The restaurant's specialty is probably the "small bites" they offer, as they offer more of these than main courses. I opted for the curry with seasonal vegetables and crispy duck. To my surprise, I didn't wait long and received what seemed like a decent portion. Unfortunately, the food was lukewarm, and the duck was cold and very tough. The curry itself was neither outstanding nor bad. It consisted mainly of iceberg lettuce (on which the duck was placed), which, if you don't eat quickly enough, becomes soft and mushy due to the sauce. Perhaps a second visit is worth it to try the "small bites."

I ate there with my daughter yesterday, and unfortunately, our visit was rather disappointing. The service was unfriendly and unattentive, which made the atmosphere unpleasant. The selection of main courses was very limited, especially for guests who don't want to eat vegan. The food itself tasted only average and seemed rather carelessly prepared. Furthermore, the outdoor benches were very uncomfortable, making it hard to linger there for long. Overall, we would have preferred more selection, more flavor, and a friendlier atmosphere.

Solid Vietnamese restaurant! The vegetables are fresh and crisp, the vegan duck is delicious and tasty, just like the "real" duck! The service is friendly and attentive! Typical Kantstraße ambiance, so it's quite lively.

I would totally recommend this place for authentic Vietnamese food. Everything was up to the mark.

The food is of a simple snack bar standard, which isn't surprising given the prices. Unfortunately, the service leaves a lot to be desired: The waitresses consistently seem annoyed, which makes you feel rather unwelcome as a guest—almost as if you're disturbing someone.

We were truly disappointed with our recent visit to this restaurant, where we had previously been regular and loyal guests. When we arrived, the restaurant was almost empty, and we kindly asked to be seated at a table by the window. Surprisingly, the server refused without offering any explanation. We asked to speak with the manager, hoping for a more understanding response—but she simply repeated the same answer, again with no justification. We then politely said, “That’s unfortunate, we’ll leave in that case.” At that moment, she abruptly grabbed the menus from our hands and said, “You can leave.” Her tone was dismissive and unprofessional, and we felt humiliated. This behavior is far from customer-oriented. When we reminded her that we had been frequent diners in the past, she responded, “We are the new generation. Do whatever you want. Whether you stay or leave, it doesn’t matter to us.” It’s sad to see such a change in attitude and service. Unfortunately, after this experience, we will not be returning.

Tastfull dishes, reasonable prices and a welcoming atmosphere. Go for the Mango sauce chicken you won't be disappointed. Future got to place for Viatnamese restaurant.

Gehe dort nicht mehr hin. Jedes mal nach dem Essen Befindlichkeitsstörungen wie Kribbeln, brennen an Extremitäten. Sie servieren alles fertig nach dem Baukastensystem. Wird nicht selber gekocht. Alles wird fertig geliefert. Möchte nicht wissen was an Chemie in dem Essen ist. Wurde auch im ZDF Info bei Sebastian Lege gezeigt.

Very tasty food with crunchy vegetables and delicate seasoning!

5 stars for the fact that they have small plates for many of their dishes, which is great for people like me - with small appetites. Their soups and rolls were great, try the coconut flavoured soup if you aren't averse to the flavour. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options for non-meat eaters too.

This time was disappointing. The chicken portion was very small.

My food was really tasty 😄, the mango shake was also creamy… - the rest was slightly below average: the service gives a taste of how you will feel when you are looked after by humanoid robots. Efficient but strangely lifeless. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a better canteen. Recommendation 😉

Excellent food! Go here once a month. The breaded tofu is always heavenly, the dishes are deliciously seasoned, the Vietnamese coffee is also delicious, only the lemonades are a bit sweet for my taste. I love the stuffed pancakes as a starter, highly recommended. The staff is also friendly and personable. The music was pleasant and not too loud, the ambience was nice too. Clear recommendation!

Whenever we are in Berlin, we stop here because we have not yet been able to discover a Vietnamese restaurant that has a larger selection of starters. In the photos you can see a small selection. Everything is incredibly tasty, including the main courses. Very very tasty. Be sure to reserve in advance because the store is also very busy.

Und dann wusste man auch nicht mehr, was wir bestellt hatten. Das Essen war wie immer zwar gut, aber Wohlfühlen gehört auch zu einem Restaurantbesuch. Die Preise steigen hier mit abnehmendem Service. Das war jetzt doch unser letzter Versuch in diesem Restaurant.

Jetzt gilt das Mittagstisch-Angebot nur noch bei BEZAHLUNG bis 16:00 Uhr, es liegt also gar nicht mehr im Einflussbereich des Gastes, wieviel Betrieb ist und ob die Bedienung noch vor 16 Uhr Zeit hat. Als Gast fühle ich mich veräppelt. Sehr schade!

Food it's okay, it's not authentic Vietnam food, mixed with Thai, but overall the food is good.

Leckeres, authentisches vietnamesisches Essen, so wie wir es aus den Vietnam Urlauben kennen. Große Auswahl vegetarisches Essen. Service war sehr nett. Essen kam schnell. Würden wieder kommen!

Dear owner, perhaps you should train the employees to pay attention to allergies. I ordered my food without spring onions, but when it came with it anyway and I unfortunately had to send it back, the staff reacted very annoyed and came back a short time later and needed the food “new” for me. I noticed very quickly that it was the same as eating but they only tried to remove the onions from the top. A little tip: 1. please remove the onions sensibly so that the stupid guests don't notice it while eating and 2. use a new plate because it was the same plate with the same damage on the edge. Very embarrassing and unprofessional!!

I’ve been here a bunch of times and this place is consistently good. I like to get the tapas because it allows for a variety of dishes for a fair price. The duck rolls, green rice shrimp, and spring rolls are my favourite dishes. The staff is pretty attentive and there is indoor and outdoor seating.

What can be said about Saigon Cuisine? Their Pho is class, the flavors of the fresh, strong and sour play as well together as Barca's tiki-taka in their prime. They also have some delicious appetizers, like fresh spring rolls with flavorful dips/sauces and their big chicken thighs. You get a lot for your money here; when you order food with meat, you get a good amount of it, for example with their fried duck udon, they are not stingy with the duck. A really delicious place that I can highly recommend. They also have quite a few lemonades, however their lime lemonade is way too sweet for my taste and tastes like a mojito. I was in Berlin for a week and ended up eating there twice. Next time I'm in Berlin, it will also be a visit.

Great intimate indoor seating without TVs and other distractions. The staff was professional and very quickly helped me figure out the dishes that are gluten-free. There's a wide variety of options including meats, fish, and vegan choices. The food was very tasty and everyone at the table was satisfied. The wine was great too, both white and red. Can definitely recommend!

The various Vietnamese snacks in the store are great: the various rolls and cold beef are highly recommended, and the homemade drinks are also good. You need to make a reservation in the evening, but fortunately there are basically seats available at noon, and the atmosphere in the store is also good. The noodle soup is average.

Everything was delicious, unfortunately the sauces are too sweet for me and I don't like sweet sauces, but it's a matter of taste. Price performance and portions are ok, nice service.

The soup in large bowls was very tasty, as was the black sticky rice dessert. My friend ordered fried vegetables with rice 🍚 and let me try some. The carrots were soaked in oil and tasted terrible.

We were there in the early evening, you should make a reservation around 6:30 p.m. during the week, and it gets quieter after 9 p.m. Beautiful shop, wonderful service and the food was a dream. Instead of main courses, we ordered a selection of small dishes, all of which were fantastically prepared and delicious. Plus these iced teas - I could get addicted to the Blue and then a Vietnamese coffee... And all at really fair prices. Become a regular customer now.

We went in because the ambience looked quite good, it was just an illusion. The prices may be ok, but the food isn't worth it. Absolutely average and nothing special. The service was cold and indifferent. No, you don't necessarily have to go there again. Be careful, the dust from the lamps almost gets into the food. :-(

This restaurant is one of the few that hasn't increased their prices wildly, while maintaining the usual good quality. Always my pleasure! In addition, the employees are extremely friendly.
