Summary: wow a hidden treasure in kadewe with excellent seafood and friendly service in the bizarre fancy kadewe foodcourt mixed with „see and be seen“ atmosphere Best dish: seafood platter with king crab, Argentinian wild shrimps and scallops Dishes (- negative / = ok / + positive): + seafood platter with king crab, Argentinian wild shrimps and scallops: delicious! all seafood was perfectly seasoned with probably only butter and salt; nice roast of the shrimps and scallops; all seafood was perfectly cooked and juicy - it comes with a cocktail sauce: it’s not well-seasoned and only destroys the perfect taste of the seafood; I recommend to get some melted butter to dip instead + the side salad is well-seasoned and delicious; quite a lot of sauce but i liked it + king crab main course: the king crab ist the same as on the seafood platter with the same sides; delicious! Service: + friendly and high quality service Price: + high price for excellent quality; we paid €181 for a seafood platter, a main course of king crab, a glass of excellent Sauvignon blanc, a glass of Sekt and a bottle of water Atmosphere: ? bizarre fancy kadewe foodcourt mixed with „see and be seen“ atmosphere; the latter is not so much mine but my wife enjoyed having a look around and it might be fun once in while; at least I didn’t get disturbed by it, maybe the food was just too good; 3 stars for the atmosphere My rating system - I focus on the food first and foremost. I aim to be truthful and try not to be biased by friendly service or other circumstances. 5*: excellent - I am rigorous in handing out 5* ratings 4*: good 3*: ok 2*: bad 1*: terrible

Certainly not a restaurant for a candlelight dinner but the hottest recommendation in Berlin for delicious food! I'm looking forward to next time!

Excellent seafood! The tartar and the salad were absolute must try, too. The baked oyster 🦪 was great, i haven’t tried anywhere before! The octopus is lovely and cooked perfectly..The staff were fantastic and very cheerful as well as all the chefs! Affordable prices for the quality of the food they serve! We were stopped by the appetising scent of lobster and a staff welcomed us in and find us seats. (I saw previous Chinese comment about racism, I didn’t experience that). Order: Mixed royal seafood 🦞 Taste: Food in Germany is generally too salty for me, this too. Aside the saltiness, it’s good!! Love the buttery scent. Price: For 2 persons we paid around €160-170. And of course we weren’t full hahahaha On the menu it said €7X. The staff said it’s for two so I understood that it’s the total price but turned out it’s €7X*2 (can’t remember the exact price)

Wir essen öfter im Hummer und Ochs und normal sind wir zufrieden. Die jungen Kellnerinnen sind stets bemüht zügig zu arbeiten und dabei freundlich zu sein. Heute hatten wir leider eine Begegnung mit einem haarlosen Kellner, der aggressiv und arbeitsunwillig war, sodass wir das Restauant verlassen und woanders gegessen haben. Meine Empfehlung deshalb, gehen Sie zum Hummer und Ochs wenn Sie nicht den haarlosen Kellner sehen. Es wird Ihnen eine negative Lebenserfahrung sparen.

In the beautiful KaDeWe on the 6th floor there is, among other things, the Hummer & Ochse restaurant, we go there regularly and it is always good! First-class cuisine, quality and also the service. We recommend!

Absolutely great! The food is delicious, as are the wines, and the service is excellent and very friendly. It's fun to watch the chefs at work - it increases your appetite. Recommendation: the lobster soup and a glass of Pinot Gris. Afterwards you can continue shopping in a relaxed manner.

Die Hummerbar war früher besser. Der Geschmack der Gerichte auch. Das Fleisch der Krustentiere war eher wässrig als geschmackvoll. Die Nudeln mit Rindsstreifen waren ok, ebenso Surf &Turf. Unsere Seafoodteller für 2 Personen echt zu wenig Leistung und zu teuer, 2x79€ / Paar. Das geht jetzt wirklich etwas zu sehr in Richtung Tourismus. Wein Sancerre ist gut und preislich ok.

All I had was the lobster soup (tiniest bits of asparagus inside), and it was wonderful. The maitre d’ suggested Grauburgunder rather than Riesling; I went for it, and it was superb. This was a lovely lunch, very friendly welcome. (It’s a stall in a busy food-court —surely the greatest food-court in the world— so it’s not a restful restaurant, but you should certainly come here for the elegant taste of fine lobster (Hummer, auf deutsch).

Steak und Langusten Schwanz, Jacobsmuscheln und Hummer, Surf and Turf, gute Weine und ein aufmerksamer Service zeichnen das Hummer & Ochse Restaurant aus. Wir werden immer herzlich begrüßt und wenn es Mal voll ist, kann man nebenan an der Veuve Clicquot Bar warten. Und Koch Björn und Kollegen erfüllen auch Mal Wünsche. Perfekt!

Wir haben es uns im Hummer & Ochse mal so richtig gut gehen lassen. Essen vom Feinsten und ein sehr zuvorkommender freundlicher Service. Auch die Köche schenkten Aufmerksamkeit. Es war sehr schön bei Euch!
